Did you tear your Nigerian passport when you moved to the US?
And you should know tearing my US passport doesn't make me any less an American.

But you should sit and ask yourself why you hate the country where you were born.

Your mom is a real one. That’s my type of carrying on.

I used to gift my neighbors tomatoes and strawberries all summer.

I know your oyibo neighbors loved you. They love when people have the same hobbies as them cheesy
They are good dudes (no illusions that they don't/didn't have racist views at one point). Good neighborhood.
Started with our grass, one neighbor was our cars, then who had the best snow blowers, then christmas lights, then tomatoes.
Lol.
Low key competition.

It brings my mom peace, though she overdoes it. She doesn't rest. I have to force her to chill out.
Had to build her some garden boxes and such to make it easier (sit while gardening).
And of course a special blend of organic soil.

I love chicken farming. I’m looking into as well. Well done 👍🏾

As for tomatoes mini or makeshift green house and grow lights are your friends. Tomatoes are very sensitive to temperature until they’re sturdy enough for transplanting. When transplanted have everything set to timed auto watering. As soon as they make it past the sensitive stage, you’ll have tomatoes for months. The more you harvest the more they come back.

Same with okra and green peas. As soon as you harvest, in couple days you’ll start seeing new buds from where you just harvested. So it’s worth the trouble. Happy planting! 🙂
Lol.
I started a battle with my two retired Oyibo neighbors over tomatoes. We were competing with who had the best tomatoes. So, got in the weeds with growing them, irrigation, soil composition, pruning. It was crazy. Eventually, I couldn't keep up, they were retired. Would love to grow more, but tradeoffs. Now, I Just grow some herbs I use (basil, cilantro, mint etc.)

But, Momsie grows enough of everything to feed her neighborhood. So between her and the neighbors, I always have tomatoes and other things.
The thing I would love to grow is squash. May find a corner to do them vertically this year.

There is a certain level of evil in what Trump is doing.
They are lying not just to deport people, but to send them to a brutal jail in El Salvador.
And this type of lying seems common in all these cases.

‘Wasting Judicial Resources': Judge Shreds Trump Admin's Alien Enemies Act Case
Writing about the claims against Sanchez Garcia, Briones pointed out that Trump administration officials "contradict themselves throughout the entire record. Respondents claim petitioner Sanchez Garcia is somehow both ‘a money receiver and lookout' as well as a ‘senior member of TdA.'"
...
"Briones wrote in his decision that the allegations in Sanchez Puentes and Sanchez Garcia's case were based on "multiple levels of hearsay, hidden within declarations of declarants who have no personal knowledge about the facts they are attesting to."
...
"This court takes clear offense to respondents wasting judicial resources to admit to the court it has no evidence, yet seek to have this court determine petitioner Sanchez Puentes is ‘guilty by association'" by being married to his wife, Briones wrote.
..
"Respondents ask this court to accept their claims, going off of nearly nothing, to substantiate their mammoth claims that Petitioner Sanchez Garcia is a ‘senior member,' or perhaps just a ‘member,' or maybe at the least an ‘affiliate' of TdA," the judge wrote. "The court would not accept this evidence even in a case where only nominal damages were at stake, let alone what is at stake here."

Please fear Ma'am. I called it sleep-walking into it because there is no coherent plan....... or should I say, it only makes sense on paper and all the unintended consequences have been largely overlooked.....but believe it or not, there is a plan.

These guys are hell-bent on bringing manufacturing jobs back to the US. The problem, is that they think that the strength of the US dollar is the only impediment to that process. So they want to devalue it, deliberately. Yes.

The guy behind these shenanigans is Stephen Miran, the Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers to the Trump administration.

Miran believes in recreating the 1985 Plaza Accords where Japan, the UK, Germany and France and a few other countries came together and agreed to devalue the dollar........

This time though, all US trading partners should be forced into accepting a weak dollar, in return for security protection by heaping huge tarriffs on their exports to the US. They will also be forced to accept American-made goods.

Trump is currently denying that they are following Miran's policy but you can start to see all of the pieces.... pressuring NATO allies, non-stop chatter about trade-deficits, haphazard tarriffs on all and sundry....... you know, just like Project 2025.... piece by piece.

For brevity, I cannot go into why I think it's a stupid plan, but please pay attention to this. The devaluation of the dollar might become a reality at the minimum, by accident.
Had a similar debate with my brother during Easter.
Outside whether the plan makes sense, the problem with any plan is that it relies on stable disciplined actors.
Trump isn't that. And no matter what plan someone thinks they have, Trump will always be a wild card.

First thing 340m is not the voting population. The bulk of voters chose Trump, he won the electoral college, won more states, won all the swing states

It's only an extremely foolish person who thinks his own choice is better than the other people's choice. They listened to both candidates and made their choice, you did the same based on what matters to you, others did the same but extremely foolish people think their own choice is superior

The same type of people who believed that illegal immigration was not a problem, the same set of people who believed the economy was doing great under Biden for 4yrs, the same set of people who believed men should play in women sports, the same set of people who believed it's okay for Americans to subsidize every country in the world at the expense of its own citizen

When they didn't vote Trump 4yrs ago they were not fools but when they evaluated his 4yrs vs Biden 4yrs and said they preferred Trump, they suddenly became fools

I agree with you being a fool is not a flex, now add being delusional on top of it
Everything you write has a deficit of truth and facts.

1.) He did not get a bulk of the the voters, he got roughly half. Might want to review the meaning of bulk.
2.) Biden got 82 million votes, by your rounding scheme, 4 million more than Trump, yet you spent 4 years trashing him.
3.) It's not about who thinks their choices are better, it's about the results of those choices. We can objectively see the measure of those choices/votes. Because objective facts don't side you, you write the variations of the same posts emotionally wailing day in and day out
4.) There is no Economist out there that will say this Economy is better than Biden's. But you prevail in this delusion.

You spend a lot of time writing these emotional based posts, yet 0 time actually talking about the actual macro and microeconomic conditions under Trump.
It's time to live in the real world.

Let's be honest, about a 1/4 of the country, consisting of largely undereducated people voted for a man who told them foreign countries paid the cost of tariffs.
Your argument that you repeat ad nauseam seems to be that if enough people get fooled and don't use their brains, the decisions they make are correct.
It's the same type of argument you'd expect from an undereducated person who got fooled by a conman.

It's not surprising you don't talk about the Economic data and the generalized chaos going on right now. Because we can see the effect of his policies real time. On or about April 17, 2025, an authorized immigration official found

probable cause to believe Flores-Ruiz was removable from the United States and issued a warrant
for his arrest. The warrant provided, “YOU ARE COMMANDED to arrest and take into custody
for removal proceedings under the Immigration and Nationality Act, the above-named alien
[Flores-Ruiz identified on warrant].” Upon his arrest, Flores-Ruiz would be given a Notice of
Intent/Decision to Reinstate Prior Order. He would then have an opportunity to contest the
determination by making a written or oral statement to an immigration officer.
9. The Milwaukee ICE ERO Office was aware that on April 18, 2025, Flores-Ruiz
was scheduled to attend a hearing in his criminal case. The hearing was set to take place in
Courtroom 615, in front of Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge HANNAH C. DUGAN. Based
on the above information, on April 18, 2025, members of the Milwaukee ICE ERO Task Force
traveled to the Milwaukee County Courthouse, with Flores-Ruiz’s arrest warrant in hand, for the
purpose of executing the warrant.
10. I am aware that law enforcement routinely executes warrants and makes arrests in
the public areas of buildings such as the Milwaukee County Courthouse. The reasons for this
include not only the fact that law enforcement knows the location at which the wanted individual
should be located but also the fact that the wanted individual would have entered through a security
checkpoint and thus unarmed, minimizing the risk of injury to law enforcement, the public, and
the wanted individual. As such, members of the Milwaukee ICE ERO Task Force developed a plan
to arrest Flores-Ruiz in a public area outside of Courtroom 615 following his scheduled criminal
court appearance before Judge

They were not arresting him in the courtroom. Public area.
Stop your lies.
1.)You probably haven't been to a US courthouse.<sarcasm> You aren't getting in the courthouse without going through tight security. These aren't free flowing places with multiple entrances/exists.

2.) The criminal complaint seems to be very contradictory. They didn't want to arrest him in the courtroom but spoke to the courtroom deputy. I don't think ICE should have any business doing that unless they have a judicial warrant.

14. The other members of the arrest team were already present in the sixth floor public hallway when Deportation Officer A and CBP Officer A arrived. Before Deportation Officer A and CBP Officer A arrived outside of Courtroom 615, FBI agents A and B had advised the courtroom deputy for Courtroom 615 that law enforcement was there to arrest Flores-Ruiz. FBI Agent A displayed his credentials to the courtroom deputy and informed him that they were thereto assist ICE in arresting Flores-Ruiz. They agreed that the arrest would take place after Flores Ruiz’s court appearance. The agents then left the courtroom and took positions at different locations in the public hallway
There is no need to involve the deputy of the courtroom if they wanted to make this arrest as if the deputy was helping them to facilitate the arrest.

3.)But they still say that the individual was seen in a public place in the courthouse and in fact there was an agent on the elevator with him. Why didn't the agents make the arrest when he got off the elevator or even prior?

E. Ruiz makes it out of the courthouse and is arrested after a foot chase.
33. After leaving the Chief Judge’s vestibule and returning to the public hallway, DEA Agent A reported that Flores-Ruiz and his attorney were in the public hallway. DEA Agent B also observed Flores-Ruiz and his attorney in the hallway near Courtroom 615 and noted that FloresRuiz was looking around the hallway. From different vantage points, both agents observed FloresRuiz and his counsel walk briskly towards the elevator bank on the south end of the sixth floor. I am familiar with the layout of the sixth floor of the courthouse and know that the south elevators are not the closest elevators to Courtroom 615, and therefore it appears that Flores-Ruiz and his counsel elected not to use the closest elevator bank to Courtroom 615. DEA Agent A followed Flores-Ruiz and his attorney towards the south elevator bank. At approximately 8:50 a.m., DEA Agent A alerted other members of the arrest team that DEA Agent A was on the elevator with Flores-Ruiz. While on the elevator, Flores-Ruiz and his attorney spoke to each other in Spanish, which DEA Agent A did not understand. They exited the elevator on one of the bottom floors of the courthouse and used the Ninth Street public entrance/exit to leave the building.

Massachusetts policy is definitely similar to most other state judicial policies.
So, I'm not reflexively "whatever a judge does is right" and do believe in obeying the laws.
But, I can see real issues with this, the worst being The Executive branch using administrative warrants in courtrooms thereby putting the imprimatur of the Judicial branch on the arrest. How does a judge know that the warrant is on the up and up?

I agree with the Massachusetts policy. And if she was trying to get them to make the arrest outside the courtroom, but inside the courthouse, I not only don't see anything wrong with what she did, I think she did the right thing.

I am interested in seeing how this plays out.

ICE actually had an administrative warrant, which in all likelihood, was valid. Now, that type of warrant is only to be executed when the suspect is in an area accessible to the public.

The issue is that the judge facilitated the movement of the suspected through a special exit designated for the jury. This now leads to another question: did the county judge knowingly and willfully obstruct an ICE operation, even though the suspect was, at the material time, in her courtroom where she has near total control over?
There was a case something like this, not entirely similar in MA during Trump's first term.
Being curious where the line is, I looked up Massachusetts procedures and found this.

Policy and procedures regarding courthouse interactions with immigration and customs enforcement

B. Individuals coming to court who are not in Trial Court custody
In those instances where ICE officials seek to take custody of an individual in a courthouse, Trial Court employees shall neither impede nor assist the ICE officials in taking the individual into custody. The role of court officers is to maintain public safety and decorum in the courthouse. Court officers shall allow ICE to use the sallyport following the transfer of custody.

Nonpublic spaces in a courthouse, such as clerks’ offices or Probation offices, may not be used by ICE officials. No ICE official shall be permitted to take an individual into custody pursuant to a civil immigration detainer in a courtroom.

Leave it Trump to take an issue they had sympathy amongst Americans on and turn it into a weakness.

Trump could have done everything legally.
They could hired 10x more immigration judges to speed up the process.
They could have even went to Congress for more legislation making it easier to deport people.
And there would have been little to impede them or for people to find issue with.
But they chose the authoritarian, break the law with impunity because they are above the law path.

Seems they have fully earned the distrust of the Judiciary and so the Judiciary is now pushing back.

Wtf?

In a brief order issued from Federal District Court in the Western District of Louisiana, Judge Terry A. Doughty questioned why the administration had sent the child — known in court papers only as V.M.L. — to Honduras with her mother even though her father had sought in an emergency petition on Thursday to stop the girl from being sent abroad.

“The government contends that this is all OK because the mother wishes that the child be deported with her,” wrote Judge Doughty, a conservative Trump appointee. “But the court doesn’t know that.”

Asserting that “it is illegal and unconstitutional to deport” a U.S. citizen, Judge Doughty set a hearing for May 16 to explore his “strong suspicion that the government just deported a U.S. citizen with no meaningful process.”

But I don’t know if that’s what happened here. And based on what’s publicly available right now, I have real skepticism about the government’s case.
Was trying to understand more of the details as well.
But from what I read ICE just had an administrative warrant not a juridical warrant and that bothered the judge.
There was also an agent in the elevator with the immigrant, so not sure how a foot chase ensued.
I feel the media in its reporting is giving too much deference to what the Trump administration claims happened.

The depth of what needs to be understood cannot be fully explored with the current mindset and education level of the average American now. The only thing that can make them vote is mind addling propaganda or extreme suffering. And the suffering might not even work if the punisher has them convinced via propaganda that the other side is responsible.

GDP is on course for a crash from a combination lower output, a crisis of consumer confidence (lower than covid, capital flight from the stock market, high yield on govt issued bonds, sharp decline in shipment docking at US ports (ocean container bookings out of China dropped by 60%), huge disruptions to supply chains, and possible higher interest rates depending on how the Fuhrer continues to go about his stupid tariff policy.......

California just surpassed Japan as the fourth largest economy in the world.

Last fiscal year California contributed 83.1 billion dollars more than we received from the federal government

Texas another big economy received 71.1 billion dollars more than they gave to the federal government. What an astonishingly embarrassing number for them .

We are a simply donor economy to you guys. Subsidizing the red state loud mouths. While they hate from outside the club.

And it’s not just California. Blue states and blue cities in general contribute 71% of the total economic growth of the United States. If you remove Texas’ oil, the red states fall drastically. Even with all the oil, they’re still taking over 70 billion dollars more than they contribute.

Yet they are on the internet making noise about voting for economic reasons. When all they have to do is look at how their states are faring under republican economic policies to know they’re being lied to.

Maybe going forward we should keep our money to ourselves and use it take care of our “homeless people” that you guys sneak into our state in the dead of the night. Have the nerve to take our money and sneak your homeless people to us to take care of for you.
