1.) Massachusetts is not gerrymandered. The map was signed into law by a Republican governor. You can repeat the lie 1000 times, it still won't make it true.
2.) The Democratic Party realigned. The Southern states you are now cheering for as they cut black people out of representation were the ones in the old Democratic Party. They were the ones who fought a war to enslave black people. The waving of the confederate flag in those states should have been a clue.

This is what always got me frustrated with the Democrat's post-election analysis. They presumed that any amount of fact or truth would sway MAGA voters. No, they have an emotional need to lie to rationalize the things their dark hearts want to happen.

God forbid we shit on the community that made it possible for us to get to the USA as immigrants. Black people did all that. They opened the doors for immigrants. Black people fought for post-war African American soldiers to get included in veteran’s rights and benefits. Africans benefitted as a side effect of this fight.

Because of them, African-American and by extension African military families have been able to get the rewards that they worked and sacrificed for. Things that were and would have continually been denied to us if we pretended racism didn’t exist.

Because of them, African Americans and African military families have bought and sold several homes without having to jump through the hell the average person does. Got degrees without loans because of their fight for African American inclusion in VA benefits. They did all that because they chose to not turn a blind eye and let racists exclude them .

The USA MAGA nonsense is what we deal with day in and day out in the US. Unfortunately that is the US's plight right now.

In fact, I think this forum should have a USA section and then sub threads in that section.
There is so much happening in the US, that individualized topics would be better. i.e a racism topic etc. etc.
The UK and international stuff dilutes it, as not everyone has a base of understanding in UK politics, like me, to even understand it fully or have an informed opinion. And it's not related to the US for the most part.

And honestly, posting it in the US Politics Section makes it seem like everything has to be seen through the US perspective as if the US super special. UK politics should be an end in itself.

Also why is there no UK election topic. Would be useful so I could pop in if I wanted to understand what was going on with Starmer or the election.
