I'd prefer if Trump was able to hash out deals to get his confirmations through.
We still have policy contentions coming. For instance, when DOGE come with their recommendations, the Senate will push back.
He has to pick his battles.

That said, I appreciate that Johnson and Thune are leaving all options on the table.
There's still like 60 days to go. So there should be some horse trading, dialog, and deal making before the confirmation process begins.

Gaetz as AG will be so cool though. I'd have taken Paxton. But I'm sure they'd protest that pick as well.
Exciting times.
I want to see raids, perp walks, mugshots, sentencing. I want to see eight, nine figure fines
What they've done to Guiliani, Jones, Stone, Weisselberg, Bannon, Navarro, Flynn.
I want there to be like two dozen cases where everyone can comment that the Trump administration destroyed their personal and professional lives. There must be a reckoning for 2016-2024.
So I'm pleased by news stories like NBC saying top DOJ and FBI are talking to lawyers.
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/justice-department/doj-fbi-officials-reach-lawyers-potential-trump-revenge-prosecutions-l-rcna179737
These baboons wheeled out the wife of a SCOTUS justice before the J6 committee.

Trump should do his best to get his AG pick in.
I don't see what the issues are with the other so-called problematic picks. Hegseth is Ivy League who got a job at Bear Stearns and he voluntarily left the very lucrative world of finance to fight in the War on Terror. Noem is a governor. I would not condone Tulsi and RFK slander.

Can anyone imagine someone writing this type of post who wasn't insane?
I find it so amazing you aren't even American and I'm sure have never stepped foot in the US, yet you're so determined to attempt to ruin people's lies over false information you've picked up in right wing US propaganda in service of a Perpetual Liar.
There are going to be some crazy scary times ahead.

You see that blue book looking thing in my Profile Picture?
It has the words Passport and the words "United States" written on it.
That's a US Passport.
A Passport trumps a Visa.
That also means I'm a citizen of the US.
Hope that helps you.

That was sort of my point, they're not totally captured, as such they are the better option, and can still be pushed to do the correct things.
Compared to the death Cult that is the GOP, that wont even acknowledge climate change, because it would be bad for oil corpos. The heatwave in Nigeria in my state was deadly this year, I can't begin to imagine how worse next year will be.

That's the thing in a 2 party system, you can't do or fix anything by simply going third party.
You find one party that closely aligns with your views and work with them in a harm reduction sense and push them to your beliefs.

Look at how young rightwingers and groypers infiltrated the GOP, and pushed their politics from Neocons to whatever it is right now, and how successful they've been at it.
I hope the leason they learn from this loss isn't going to be, we just weren't bigoted enough and try to capture an imaginary demographic of people who want republican lite policy and messaging.

Thanks for asking!!!
It is actually a movement that started in Arkansas, Iowa, New Jersey and New Hampshire (the last 2 states are Democrats!) to make it easier for kids from 14 to 17 years old to work longer and later – and in occupations that were previously off-limits for minors to allow young adults to develop their skills in the workforce.”
In the 8 states that tried to re-enact it - they were losing almost 46% of their workforce in the manufacturing, agriculture and mining business to white-collar jobs in the city so they wanted to ensure the young generation could develop skills like working in the farms with permission from their parents and for extra working hours if they wanted to. The articles made it look like they were forcing poor kids to work when in fact they were trying to ensure legacies in the deep South don't die out because when this kids grow to 18 they lose interest in actual farm work and blue collar jobs. The law also ensured the young adults are still paid minimum wages or even more if it's a company.

Also for the abortion thing - if you actually understand what abortions actually entail - you'd know how evil it is
This post is nuts.
They wanted children to develop skills in wait for it... the mining industry

That's my critique of the Democratic party, they claim to be the party of the working class, but halve of them are bought by capital interest.

A system where the richest among us basically get to dictate our politics in what is suppose to be a democracy, is what I'm against, and I hope it's made illegal or impossible, but that's just wishful thinking on my part.
Yes, half the Dem Party is, while 100% of the Republicans are.
Dems fought against Citizens United which created these dark money pacs.
Dems are for public financing of Campaigns to take out the billionaire class from elections.
What are Republicans for that would make anyone think they want the richest out of politics?

You're critique sounds like what the Palestinians in Michigan just did.
They were mad that the Dems weren't pushing hard enough to stop the War in Gaza so they elected someone who would allow Israel to do more than that.
Trump just nominated Huckabee who doesn't believe in the 2 state solution as Israel ambassador and Stefanik who believes Israel should get everything they want for total victory as UN ambassador.

At times you cut off your nose to spite your face.
Dems aren't perfect in this regard but light years better than Republicans.

The fact you’re quoting Alex Finch from AP the same person that was part of the people who claimed Tulsi Gabbard is a Russian spy shows how stupid you’re and little you know about mal-information. If you actually want to know the reason why Republican are loosening the grip on child labour laws you would but you don't want to escape your bubble. Like I've always said I'm not even a Republican - I just believed all political parties have big flaws of but you're a Democrat who believes Dems are for the working class and you can't even defend your party, isn't that hypocritical and senseless. Like I've been saying you're a bot who just repeats what your party wants you to think. Think for yourself for once in your life. Your party said killing unborn babies is awesome and your wiring tells you you should believe that. You can't even explain why Dems are for the working class because you haven't been programmed to explain
That you think there is a rational why anyone should loosen child labour laws is obsoletely nuts.

But as usual everything comes down to your "religious" view of Christianity.
It's Sunday, open a Bible, read the New Testimony and then try to bridge the chasm between what Christianity actually is and your support of Trump.

Really?

This is one narrative I have refused to buy into over the years. Of what benefit is my physical presence when it won't solve their health or financial challenges?

We just follow norms like zombies without critical thought or questioning why. When one of my parents started mounting pressure on me to visit home so they could see me, I told them I spent 25 years of my life with you before leaving home, you know what I look like and I know what you look like.

That same parent once said they don't see me but they feel my impact from miles away due to how I support them financially without fail on a monthly basis. Which made me realise you can do right, do good and do well by your folks without being physically present.

Children were always meant to grow up, leave the nest and make something of their own lives. I don't get this emotional blackmail people put out there about visiting or seeing parents often so they won't feel lonely and they will live long. Story for the gods, when it is your time to die you will die and it won't be because of loneliness from children's absence. It was simply time for you to go.

Parents need to get a life outside of their children and not make children the be all and end all. Spouses should also learn to be friends and companions for those later years when the children are gone. We are all going to stand alone and give account of our individual lives when this earthly life is over, we won't be asked to give account as a family, so kini big deal?
This sounds very heartless.

That you think Republicans care about the working class says it all.
Google Trickle Down Economics.
Or better yet try to find any bills the Republicans have passed in the last 20 years that benefit the lower or middle class.
Or look at their push to kill labor unions which led to the growth of the middle class.
Or their push to kill overtime.
Or their push to kill workers protection regulations
Or their resistance to increase the minimum wage
Or the deregulations for Wall St.
Or just look at their push to loosen child labor laws in favor of business.
All these policies do one thing. Favor business profits over the workers.

You sound like a politics neophyte and a political illiterate.
I can't take you seriously.

This is the cycle every time.

For the last 50 years, republicans will ruin the economy and democrats step in to fix it. That’s why it’s obvious anyone who said they’re voting for Trump for the economy is either a big fat liar, a band wagoner or someone with the memory of a fish.

Republicans on average always have net negative job growth and all the negative markers of a failing economy. If they are so good at leading, the republican states won’t be the lowest rated in education, highest In poverty and lowest in healthcare access. What they want is to keep holding onto their hate and voting that way while benefiting from economic prosperity that California and the likes bring to the country.

If only everyone could live strictly under the govt they voted for.

Yes, because another Republican, Bush, deregulated and crashed the Economy.

Hello, Nairalanders. Good morning, I’m going to be short.

I stay in Ondo and I just finished my youth service and currently, I’m staying with long time friend(We’re splitting the rent) till we are able to find our way. Something happened last week Friday that has brought a little misunderstanding (We don’t flow like before) and I want your opinion.

Okay, so I went to my work, I work from 8-5, sometimes 6 and that day, my girlfriend called me and said she was around the house and wanted to wait and see me, I told her it was fine that I would be back soon. I went back later to the house and I met her, my friend wasn’t around then. The house was very neat, but I knew she was the one who swept it, so I didn’t ask. But one talk led to another and she told me it was that my friend that told her to get broom and sweep the room. When she said it, I wasn’t so cool with it because I felt he didn’t have that right to tell my girlfriend to sweep the room. Even if she wanted to sleep it, I should be the one to tell her and not my room mate. I told him and he didn’t see anything wrong with it and insisted that I didn’t like it and he shouldn’t do it next time, because I found it a bit disrespectful to myself and my girlfriend. Since then, he hasn’t been so cool, we talk but not like before. Did I overreact? Do you think it’s okay or wrong for my roommate to tell my girlfriend to sweep the room?

NB; I do not tell my girlfriend to sweep the room when my roommate is around, so it doesn’t bring “see finish “ so, she’s never swept in his presence before, but she does it when he’s not around.

Also, he has his girlfriend that comes to the house too and I have never told her to do anything like that before. So, what do you guys think?
He had absolutely 0 right to speak to your g/f like that.
He doesn't respect her and he doesn't respect you.
In fact your g/f probably doesn't(well shouldn't) respect you much either right now.
Is she shared property? Wtf?

He'd be apologizing to her or he'd see the demon inside me.
No two ways about it.

Time to move and begin to respect yourself so your friends respect you as well.
