Illusioneffect: I wish I could reply in VN - I cant type too much so all I can say is this opinion is dogshit. Unlike Dems who decide who to put instead of the President. Trump is taking the Roosevelt route - put your closest allies so he can actually run the government instead of nameless bureaucrats. Franklin Roosevelt, Andrew Jackson and Ronald Reagan did exactly the same thing and they’re still considered one of the best presidents in the US. You guys will keep bawling up in tears no matter if Trump picks Obama and he hasn’t even started 😂 the next 4 years will be fun!! You didn't answer the question. How is that working out and had been working out for you in Nigeria? This is from the US Constitution You know the law of the Land. I'm sure you have never read it. Clause 2 Advice and Consent He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for , and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments. |

In this case they probably should be divorced. Voting for Trump speaks to a person's morals and values. It speaks to who you are as a person. That type of stuff should have been sussed out while dating or even during pre marriage counseling. I couldn't imagine telling my g/f I voted for the guy who said he'd "grab woman by the kitten". And I wouldn't want my g/f being ok with me if I did tell her that. |

YoungLionken: Government should have provided an alternative for them, that's what they do in saner climes. All governors in Nigeria are guilty of this. You see them destroying markets without another provision for the traders for their daily bread. The new Edo state governor came and disbanded agberos (they disbanded the state police aka ESSN/vigilante before the election) without any placement even if temporary. Both the VGN and tax collectors aka agberos (we all know these are usually the criminal elements in every society even in the UK/US) are at home now. With the yuletide season in view, unbelievable/unreasonable increase in price everywhere, naira devaluation, etc. I can only help but pity law abiding and the vulnerable citizens around... Then it becomes a matter of equity. You provide benefits for people who broke the law, what about those who chose not to? |

Why is everything Nigeria does chaotic? This is not the way to clear these buildings.
They should have cleared and arrested anyone there the day before. Cordoned it off then set Up a patrol to watch over the area and then cleared it the next day AM.
Too much chaos which makes it more likely someone will get hurt.
This is not how government is supposed to work. |

Laurene: Trump will force through his confirmation LordAdam16: It truly fascinates me that the people who made Trump take a mugshot are clutching pearls about AG Gaetz. Trump 2.0 is Operation IDGAF.
Gaetz. Tulsi. RFK. Hegseth. Are moderate picks.
Hardcore MAGA are still in reserve. Stone. Lindell. Kudlow. Bannon. Flynn. Boebert. McCollugh. Guiliani. Folks with ax to grind.
-Lord Reading these posts from Nigerians who've never stepped foot in the US, noone should be suprised Nigeria looks the way it does. From cheering outright Corruption to looking fwd to "axes to Grind". The government to them is purely a vehicle for personal wealth and vendettas. They are so consumed with their personal grievances and story lines they've lost grasp of the larger picture. Put your acolytes on the Supreme Court so every matter goes your way. Put you defense attorney and friend in the role of AG and Deputy AG so no one can prosecute your misdeeds and they can go after your enemies. Put your acolytes in Congress so no one there can reign you in and no one can stop the graft. And even when your acolytes in Congress are against what you do, just go around them. Everyone is an enemy and any guardrail is an unnecessary constraint to be demolished. How's that working out for you in Nigeria? The ones complaining the hardest about these picks are members from Trump's own party. The founders created the US with Checks and Balances so no person esp. the President could be a king because they left Great Britain where they felt they were persecuted. I guess you guys know better than the system of government that's worked well for over 200 years. Again, how is this strongman government working out for you in Nigeria? |

Ijebos doesn't live in Nigeria but wants to speak authoritatively about Nigerian affairs
See the mental problem you have
Why not ask those who live in Nigeria if their fathers beat their mothers or you are just the one with a defective lineage Another post, another childish post. You run around and write this type of intellectually dishonest shit for whose benefit? I was born in Nigeria, lived in Nigeria before immigrating here. I myself have properties in Nigeria, not including the properties my parents own. My g/f is in Nigeria and I'll probably have spent 6 weeks there by the end of the year. I've been to Nigeria at least 3 times each year, the last 5 years. And at least once the 10 years prior. (More time I'm sure than you've spent in Nigeria the same time frame.) But I still only speak of things I've tried to understand well. One being Domestic Violence since it's important to me in the US and Nigeria. I am referring to people, who don't live in the US, aren't American citizens or have any substantial connection to the US to have experienced life there. I unlike you believe people actually need real experiences to understand and learn about different cultures to be able to talk about it. If you spend more time learning you wouldn't always sound uneducated.

Why not ask those who live in Nigeria to know how many of their dads pummel their mother for fun like yours do?
Your own defective lineage is where such abomination thrive, In the olden days your entire family would be sent to the evil forest so that the evil genes will not spread among human
I am doing much better than you are in every sphere of life. For one, my dad doesnt beat my mother
You are well over 40, yet behaving like a toddler, you don't have anyone willing to start a family with you. I wont blame them cos no one want to have kids that are half human and half animal like you turned out
JD, Vivek and others who are younger than you dont even call themselves young but you the underachiever actually the non achiever is the one harping on how young you are when your friends are paying kids college tuition and you are foooling around in your moms basement What's wild is people like you try to downplay Domestic Abuse. I assume that's the true reason you support Trump. You fear a world where women have real power because you're such a weak shit man. My gf has a charity partially for children of Domestic Abuse in Naij. She has an annual Gala where I'll be attending in Xmas and will be the top Donor again. My homegirl runs a NGO for Domestic Abuse victims in Naij. Half of Nigeria's women experience domestic violence While the level of violence against Nigerian women in the home remains poorly mapped, pilot studies conclude it is "shockingly high". Up to two-thirds of women in certain communities in Nigeria's Lagos State are believed to have experienced physical, sexual or psychological violence in the family and in other areas, around 50 percent of women say they are victims to domestic violence. http://www.afrol.com/articles/16471 |

raumdeuter: The pain running through this post is so severe, Everyone can feel it on your behalf
It pains you so much that bemeruce who just migrated is doing way better than you. Its not your fault, he has superior genes and you were doomed from birth As I said you exist on gaslighting and lies. That you even repeat his nonsense says more about you than him. That you are more than willing to spread lies. I hire engineers. I know the process that's why I knew his story was Bullshit. Let's assume he immigrated to the US making 100k (they have to pay his visa type a similar salary to US workers). Why would any company then buy him a ~70k car. So, let's assume he bought it himself. He moves to the US, and his first action is to buy a 70k car that is conveniently shipped to him and pre-registered in Canada and he has available the day he lands? And he then drives that car into the US? So not only does he have a 70k car, he decided to buy/rent a house with a 2 car garage in Seattle(where he lies and says he lives) with a high housing market? So, this father of 4 whose kids don't live with him, immigrated to the US, on a work visa, but somehow is first in Canada (did he get a seperate Visa) and his first thing is to buy a Range Rover and a house with a 2 car garage though his family does not live with him all in the high housing market of Seattle. That story is Bullshit for anyone with a brain. Yet you repeat it. So, if you have superior genes you wouldn't have to lie about your accomplishments. |

raumdeuter: I don't know anyone who abuses his spouse, Domestic abuse is not prevalent in Nigeria. Ask all Nigerians who post here, Have they seen their father beat their mom before like yours did whenever he is bored and you will notice you are the exception
You should probably say its prevalent in your family given how your father turned your mom into a UFC punching bag
Your fathers gene is in you and you are likely to carry those animal genes as well. That will explain why every male and female partner avoid commitment to you besides being a failure at everything you have ever tried in life
You will think I am older than you because you have achieved so little in life. You have friends who have kids in college and could potentially be grandparents in 4yrs yet see yourself as young. That is the spirit of failure speaking through you. It makes you think you are young because you have not achieved anything in life. A 42yr old is the VP of the US. He doesnt even have kids in college not even high school. but you whose frends will soon be attending kids graduation think he is young Raumdeuteur doesn't think Sexism is prevalent in Nigeria. Raumdeuteur doesn't think Domestic Abuse is prevalent in Nigeria. Need I say more about what a Degenerate you are? Raumdeuter, what have you achieved? You keep talking about others lack of success. What about yours? You can tell your age by the historical things you've talked about in your posts, like having friends who sold shares to your family before the Nigerian stock crash. The question is why you want to pretend you are younger than you are. Ashamed of the amount of time you spend here? Let's do the math for you. 42-16 = 26. Since it seems to be hard. If Vance had kids at 26 who went to school in Nigeria and graduated at 16, he would have kids in college. Now work down and you can see someone who had kids at 24, who moved to Nigeria would have kids in college. None of this is complex to rational people. But, it seems complex to you. Again, what have you accomplished outside of spending ~4 hours here daily?

So you will also agree that you have the gene of a degenerate father I think a degenerate weak individual uses Domestic abuse as a weapon because their fragile ego gets exposed so often. Do you know anyone like that? And reading comprehension seems to be your problem. My dad is successful in the terms most Nigerian men would understand, money. My mom takes care of US expenses in the house they own, because he couldn't care because, being the type of man he is, he spends the majority of the year in Naij. Difference between you and I? Domestic Abuse is prevalent in Nigeria. So while you joke you about it because you're weak, while watching family members abuse their wives and you probably abuse the person you are with (given your degenerate character you show here), I freely talk about it. Why? Because I have the strength to grow and understand my father's mentality only affects me if I behave like you and pretend it doesn't exist. You're older than me by a distance it seems. I can't believe this is who you are at your age when you are in a country that allows you the ability to be more. |

That aside, it's you who clumps all republicans and democrats into one box. Both sides are a spectrum, they are instances where values of both sides overlap. Some democrats also voted against raising the minimum wage. Some republicans voted for rising minimum wages.
Don't play semantics. You very well know the illegal immigration being talked about.
I'm not demo or repub, as I am not registered to either political party. However, one could say I hold liberal ideals, since, liberalism transcends country or race.
Whether the illegal immigration is legal or not, the point still remains the majority of voters (repubs, former demos, independent voters) all thought illegal immigration was a problem. If your media houses weren't so beggy for attention and exploiting sensationalism to garner ratings, maybe we wouldn't have this problem.
Interesting choice of words. For someone who claims to expect people to act decently, you stink of classism, very much like the white supremacist that you're complaining about.
Eschew life in the US? What the fvck about life in the US?
The women on the streets hawking tomatoes, aren't making a difference?
"Oh, they sacrificed their lives in the U.S, to come and deliver us?"
Get the fvck of your high horse! This whole post speaks to what I am talking about. You have no real understanding of the US nor US politics. 1.) What the Republicans and Democrats stand for is clear. There is some overlap but not enough to make a difference. Just look at all the major pieces of legislation the last 20 years and who falls on what side. Take ObamaCare for one. 2.) I don't know what illegal immigration you are referring to because you sound like you don't either. Most of the immigration that is happening is through the Asylum process. Immigrants who are granted asylum are let out due to the 4 year wait to process the claim. So, even if they file false claims they still can be in the country for 4 years. But because the law allows for it, they are legal. 3.) I think you should do a search for Japa on this site. You seem to be not aware of all the people who left Nigeria or want to leave Nigeria. Yes, some of my friends left very well paying jobs in the US and went the other way. Came back to Nigeria, while plenty of people are trying to leave. But I'm sure you are aware of all that. That you think me saying "eschew" is similar to white supremacy is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard. Goes back to you having no concept of life in the US. You are right, you control your time. Everyone is welcome to make a fool of themselves. |

kkins25: Trump supporters and the majority of American people are not satisfied with the illegal immigration. You paint it as if Americans don't want immigrants. Please, keep the "illegal" part in there. When you yourself are there living as an immigrant. Has anybody come there to send you home, yet?
Again, majority voted toward curbing the influx of illegal immigrants. We know the elections were fair and square, and represent the will of the people. If the people say they are concerned about illegal immigration, it's your duty, as a representative of the people, to either inform them enough of the cons of quickly shutting down the borders, or finding an alternative.
You have failed at both. Therefore, here's your sack letter, well-deserved.
According to Pew Research Center, Most Americans agree that Illegal legal immigrants fill jobs that Americans don't want. Nobody has denied this, not the republicans. However, more republicans are willing to take on those so-called jobs compared to democrats. 37% of Republican voters would like to have those jobs that you claim only illegal immigrants work at.
www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2024/10/21/most-us-voters-say-immigrants-no-matter-their-legal-status-mostly-take-jobs-citizens-dont-want/
I can't beat them, so join them?
Americans, rebups, and a smaller percentage of demos complain about illegal immigration. Trump spotted the train and rode it for free. You were more focused on things Americans weren't concerned about.
Are the cost of living between these states the same? I don't have to be an American to apply the 2+2 that works over here, there. The average income of residents of Lagos is higher than others. The cost of living is equally high.
So, someone earning 100,000 Naira in Kaduna, purchase power parity wise, actually has better standard of living, than his counterpart in Lagos. I think I understand basic economics.
Blue states have in general have higher cost of living. So, the higher wages, isn't that Dems are better people, it's that anything below what it pays now is slavery. And, no American wants to live in Blue and earn like they live in Alabama. It's common 2+2!
Like I said, go to drawing board, and come up with a different solution.
You've seen my comments here. We all know, bar Trump hardcore supporters, that misinformation was at's it's pinnacle during this campaign. But, misinformation, itself, wasn't what drove Americans to Donald.
And, concerns about illegal immigration. Key word = illegal
As a business, yes. As a social platform and it's impact? I don't think so. You lost the elections, didn't you?
If you somehow device the ability to eliminate the ability to feel emotions and that component that makes people go "Us versus them," from people, then that'll be great. Otherwise, stop smoking blunt.
It will happen, but by then, both our bones would have turned to fossil fuel.
I do help Nigeria. For example, some of it's inhabitants can't fund their education. And, I help Nigeria by helping her fund the education of those inhabitants. I've taught over 300 students, with many coming back to tell me how I impacted their lives in ways no other teacher has, even though I spent just a measly two years with them. Girls are comfortable enough to discuss mensuration cycles, relationships, family drama with me. Boys don't use "bitch" "hoe" to refer to women because I instruct them not to. Boys and girls study hard to make at university level and show me their results because I encourage them to.
I don't just help Nigeria, I extend my impact on youths all the way to America. I write about personal finance, self-development, etc. for an American teenage audience. Likewise, I help write practical guides on exercising for American Seniors as well. Oh, I do write introductory guides about investing for American adults as well, my guy.
The difference between me and you are just circumstances and age. Nothing much!
I reject your argument that it is either I accept racism or leave to a country that people can't afford to eat. Everyone should be able to live in a world where they are not discriminated by the color of their skin and also be able to eat.
I cannot travel to Saudi Arabia, where I know they hate blacks and demand that they treat me with respect. While it's a lovely ideal to have, it's just not realistic. If you don't like what they offer, leave. It's their country, not yours.
You can come back here, where you'd be loved, and welcomed with open arms. Plus, Instead of staying in America and whining about racism, you could help Nigeria, by helping it become a better America.
You seem to feel like you don't deserve more.
Everybody deserves more. The illegal immigrants, whose governments have turned them to peasants begging to come and enslave themselves so you can live comfortable lives with low cost of living, deserve more than just wiping ass and picking oranges. The people who voted for Trump deserve more. The democrats deserve more. I deserve more. You deserve more. We all deserve more.
But, Manna doesn't fall from heaven.
It looks like Nigeria has broken you. I guess hunger can do that.
Tell me more about racism.
If there's anybody on the planet that society cannot break, it's Nigerians! That's why you can go there and excel even better than Black Americans. Have some faith in us! I skimmed this. You seem to have some idealistic view of Republicans that isn't matched by who they are. You are talking about exploiting immigrants while Republicans have been trying to erode child labor laws in Republican states. In MA where the minimum wage was increased, some Republicans voted against it. You preach the policies of Democrats while voting Republcians who constantly erode them. And it's clear you don't understand the immigration problem. You are legal and/or not legal by how the law defines you. I'm a legal citizen because the law allowed me such through the Naturalization process. A lot of the "illegal" immigrants that you keep describing are here legally. They have legal status as they are legally allowed to apply for Asylum. You should probably go read more on it before commenting. But that goes to my point. It's commendable you like US politics. But how can you really speak on a place you have never been to nor understand the culture of? Read about the Puritans and why they came to the US and maybe you'll understand it better. Listen, let's leave who does or doesn't do for Nigeria. My point is that you are on the ground and I'm sure the energy you spend here can be used there. And I do have faith in Nigeria. I have faith in people like my friends who decided to eschew life in the US after college to move back to Nigeria to make a difference. And they are. I don't have faith in people like you who live there, see the struggles and the effects of corruption and cheer the same type of person and system in the US. Either you can't see it or do and think it's ok. Either way Nigeria can't succeed with people like you. |

raumdeuter: Search result Raumdeuter + homosexual Only 1 post which was my latest post replying you
https://www.nairaland.com/search?q=raumdeuter+%2B+homosexual&board=0
Now search Ijebos + homosexual. Over 2 pages of posts This is the childish gaslighting you do. Do you think you have to say the word homosexual in a post to be talking about homosexuality? You talk like a child for someone so old. It's always games and gaslighting. Why don't you stop the tomfoolery and fill your mind with actual substantiate things so you won't have to revert to ChatGpt to write posts for you. Can't imagine being as purposefully dumb as you are as I get older. What was this post about? raumdeuter: Pick up women here? Do you identify as a woman now that you feel someone is trying to pick you up? Looks like I broke you totally and you are now starting to imagine things like me picking you up |

raumdeuter: Let anyone do a search on my post and find how many times I posted about homosexual and now do the same for you
That is what we call projection. No one is concerned about your sexuality, who you sleep with or who you dont. Na you get your anus I think everyone on this thread is clear who talks about homosexuality more. For someone not concerned about who I sleep with, a large swath of your posts are dedicated to it. Almost sounds like jealousy or envy. It's wild how you lie and then think you can bend reality to your lies. I feel sorry for anyone who has to be around you constantly. You're like a masterclass in gaslighting. |

kkins25: You know, for people clamoring for equality and taxing the rich more, I'm curious, why y'all insistent on exploiting illegal immigrants to perform such jobs? Let's stop this "whitewashing" and call it what it is---exploitation. You need to exploit poor immigrants to do the dirty job.
Not only would you exploit said individuals through labor, you'll also exploit them to contribute to Social Security. Jesus! As the self-acclaimed morality police, y'all are really nasty. Colonizing exploiters!
Is that the best all you can do? Is that the only strategy there is---exploitation? Can't y'all think of something else besides this 21st century slavery?
Americans don't like your plan. Maybe they no-longer want to exploit people. You have your homework. Go back to drawing board and figure something out. And, make una stop they disturb us danallah!
Haba! After all the bragado, una lose. Una don con turn Apostle John wey dey drop apocalyptic revelations upon revelations.
X will not collapse. Ya'll already wailed when Musk took over, and it's doing okay.. More than okay.
There's Racism on X? You put a large demographic of people from all walks of life in one room, what do you expect? Kumbaya? There's tribalism pro max on Nairaland, why don't you leave? You all have exchanged derogatory non-sense with each other on this very thread, but you don't leave, why?
X is the perfect reflection of what America is, you could also leave America and come down here where it's less racist. We don't have racism down here, just occasional lack of health, electricity, education, etc. Feel free to join us, anytime! If you so much love Africa.
Abegi, write me a book of lamentations! 1.) You've assumed too much. My argument isn't with the pay, it's the contradiction of Trump supporters who say inflation is high, yet want to create policies to make it higher. Or say they don't want immigrants doing certain jobs, like in Ohio, but they won't do those jobs themselves. But as to that point, where do you think Walmarts were best situated? And who do you think is buying goods at the Dollar Tree? Are those places not exploitative if the people in the factories making their goods? Most Dems I know are comfortable paying a living wage. Massachusetts just increased the minimum wage. It's generally Republicans arguing against it. If you want to make a point at least make it consistent with reality. For Trump supporters, this isn't an argument about not exploiting immigrants. It's the belief that the US is giving them too much and that they don't belong or xenophobia. Look at what happened in Springfield Ohio. You keep trying to make these high minded arguments to support Trump. Give it a rest. 2.) X is collapsing. It's been devalued at 75% since musk bought it and after what he did during this election I'm sure will decline more. Yes, I expect Kumbaya. I expect people not to see people based on the color of their skin. 3.) Maybe instead of lecturing me on what the US should look like without an understanding of what the US was founded on, you can take that energy and focus it on doing more to help Nigeria. I reject your argument that it is either I accept racism or leave to a country that people can't afford to eat. Everyone should be able to live in a world where they are not discriminated by the color of their skin and also be able to eat. You seem to feel like you don't deserve more. raumdeuter: If you are the topic then its sensible to see homosexuals especially with an incel like you who fantasy about imaginary ex-gf. No one on this forum has posted about "ex-gfs" as much as you and it only shows one thing you are an incel feeding off his mom
A fruit never falls too far from the tree You woke up today and the first thing that came to mind was homosexuality. How many men talk or write about homosexuality the way and amount you do? You're even an absurd caricature of those anti homosexual conservative men who keep talking about homosexuality and to no one's surprise have been sleeping with a man the whole time. |

budaatum: Funny that. I cancelled my Wapo months ago and kept my Guardian instead. And while I don't post on x/twitter much, I too have moved to blue. Ditched Twitter, still debating NYtimes, on Bluesky I think we have to live our values. |

After the election I had to think hard about who/what I supported. I couldn't support X/Twitter any longer because of esp. the condoned racism found on the site. The Guardian made the same move. Funny how everyone else sees the racism of Musk's X except the self hating African men on this platform. Why the Guardian is no longer posting on X
We wanted to let readers know that we will no longer post on any official Guardian editorial accounts on the social media site X (formerly Twitter). We think that the benefits of being on X are now outweighed by the negatives and that resources could be better used promoting our journalism elsewhere.
This is something we have been considering for a while given the often disturbing content promoted or found on the platform, including far-right conspiracy theories and racism. The US presidential election campaign served only to underline what we have considered for a long time: that X is a toxic media platform and that its owner, Elon Musk, has been able to use its influence to shape political discourse. https://www.theguardian.com/media/2024/nov/13/why-the-guardian-is-no-longer-posting-on-x |
