Trump is back to sporting the ear band-aid. Maybe the healed ear relapsed. cool cool Every Media outlet should at this point question him about this and that 'injury'.
And doing another interview with his running mate.. I'm sure the people who criticized Harris will criticize Trump.

Seriously, Basilico and Bemeruca, get some help.

The problem is the ice and not weed. Ice is a dangerous drug and very addictive. Beating him won't solve anything. He would have started stealing and selling properties to fund the behaviour.

He's currently behaving irrationally because of his dependence on ice.
I wouldn't underestimate the weed as well. There was a study that linked weed with triggering and worsening psychosis and schizophrenia.

My fellow nairalanders, I seriously need help with my younger brother. He has practically gone mad due to substance abuse. He takes weed like water and not only that, he also takes ice (mkpulu mmili).

We are tired of talking. Even our village vigilante had arrested him and beaten him in the past yet nothing changed.

He no longer behaves normal. He doesn't bath. He no longer does his mechanic work (which he was very good at). He now chases customers away.

Please does anyone know anything that can be done about it? I have thought of taking him to a rehabilitation centre but there is none that I know of. Meanwhile he's in Enugu in case anybody wants to make a suggestion.

I need recommendations please, aside prayers because we have been praying about it already.

Thank you all.
Sorry to hear this.
Unfortunately it's a hard road. The problem is that until he decides he wants to change and work on his addiction, anything you try to force on him will be a short reprieve. You have to see it as someone who is sick.

The goal should be to get him to want to get better and stop using. How? That's the hard part. You may try with having family members he cares about/likes talk to him when he is not on drugs. Don't berate him, just try to get him to understand the pain he is causing himself, the effects the drugs is having on the things he cares about and and having on your family. And maybe a whole family intervention, again with family members he likes.

It's a long road. I've been through it with a family friend. Brilliant mind.
Unfortunately, I don't think his family handled it well. All the Nigerian stigmas surrounding Mental illness played a roll. So , despite, multiple short and long term hospital stays we still lost him. These type of addictions can lead to very bad outcomes. Saying that so you can have clear eyes. I know these stigmas in our community do exist, hopefully your family's primary focus is on him getting better.

Remember his initial drug use was a symptom of something else.

Is "just a show" your new adjective (sentence) to describe Kamala's interview?

It's not really an adjective, mind, and its very weak, like the sort of adjectival sentence one would use to describe what musk did with dump if you asked me, though that is better described as a 'rambling shît show' despite and because of its length.
It's the same misogynistic racist tropes they trot out when a woman or black person is running.
When it's a woman, she cackles. Google Hillary's Cackle.
When it's a black person, he/she is dumb. Obama was a terrible student, not good enough for Harvard. He stole someone's id to get into Harvard.. blah bah.
And they are always only successful because of outside factors, DEI, Affirmative Action.
Same old tropes, just repackaged.

He has always been.

Move onto the next lie.
Yeah? Maybe you want to tell the people in the Pro Life movement that.
Isn't it odd that everything you think you know is bullshit.

‘It Is Not the Job of the Pro-Life Movement to Vote for President Trump.’
Trump once said he had “great admiration” for Lila Rose’s work. Now he’s lost her support.

...
If you look at the 2016 campaign, he was much more vocally pro-life than he is now, and he had more public promises to do pro-life advocacy. Now he’s changed his position. And he is not only not saying pro-life things — he’s actively saying he would support pro-abortion policy. That’s a very important distinction, and no amount of “Well, it’s just politics” cover up that fact. Vance has come out and said that [Trump] would veto an abortion ban, that he supports abortion pills, that he supports “reproductive rights” without clarifying what that means. [Trump] was behind the RNC platform being weakened on this, which for four decades was strong on life, and now it’s been weakened.
...
People will need to vote their conscience in November. We’re over two months out, so there’s a lot of things that can change. I think that it’s the job of the pro-life movement to demand protection for pre-born lives. It is not the job of the pro-life movement to vote for President Trump.

But Trump taking a photo at the graveside is such major news.
Why don't we fire the same person who was responsible for the 65 deaths in Afghanistan during Trump's presidency.

It gets worse. (The grave in question is circled).

Trump Videos at Arlington Stir More Fallout After Gravesite Visit
The family of a Green Beret buried there expressed concern about videos and photos taken by his grave. And a cemetery employee declined to press charges after an altercation with the Trump team, fearing retribution.

In a statement from Sergeant Marckesano’s relatives after being contacted by The New York Times, his sister, Michele, said, “We fully support Staff Sergeant Darin Hoover’s family and the other families in their quest for answers and accountability regarding the Afghanistan withdrawal and the tragedy at Abbey Gate.”

“However,” she added, “according to our conversation with Arlington National Cemetery, the Trump campaign staffers did not adhere to the rules that were set in place for this visit to Staff Sergeant Hoover’s gravesite in Section 60, which lays directly next to my brother’s grave.”

Sergeant Marckesano’s sister continued , “We hope that those visiting this sacred site understand that these were real people who sacrificed for our freedom and that they are honored and respected accordingly.”

Ijebos, the subject of our discussion was never a fundamental right. A fundamental right in USA is constitutional, like the gun 2nd and no slave 13th, a privilege my body my choice has not been given yet.

Still, someone else can not dictate what fundamental rights I have, can't you see? Or don't you think I can tell you to go fuq your dictate and do what I want? What control do you have then when I can choose (either to illegally do what I want to my body in the state your dictate be damned, or move my body out of the jurisdiction of your stupid dictate)? You gonna throw my body in jail for an abortion and hope to win a future election with lots of mes campaigning against you from prison?

Think of it this way. In order for others to have control over my body, I first have to relinquish control over my body. And I am telling you that I am not willing to relinquish control over my body to others who vote to control my body.

My name is not Toby. I am Kunta Kinte! And we shall fight this until I get my 28th even if it takes me losing both my feet and my uterus in the battle.

In fact, that's an idea. You go low and ban abortions and I'll just go high and remove my baby making organs so I can't get pregnant in the first place, lol, though thankfully, there's condoms and the pill. Either ways, your dictating state's population will fall along with your tax revenue and we'd see how they like it then when you pull up a chart showing the poorest states are those with "my body state" laws.
You keep jumping from place to place.

Roe v Wade did not "guarantee Reproductive Health as a fundamental right", Ijebos. If it did, this Supreme Court would not have "said that Constitution did not find that Reproductive Health was a fundamental right".
Huh?

Roe v. Wade was a Supreme Court Ruling.
It decided that abortion was a right vested either under the Right to Privacy or under the 9th amendment (those rights reserved to the people).

The current Supreme Court revisited that Ruling and redecided it saying that abortion was not a right guaranteed under the Constitution as "deeply rooted in the Nation’s history and tradition" and not "implicit in the concept of ordered liberty".

You are not arguing what Roe v. Wade found with me. Pick another hill to die on.

Under the very unfortunate circumstances the very corrupt maga majority supreme court has created, my answer is yes. And the intrinsic contradiction is not missed.

Imagine the majority decide my body their choice, and minority I insists, which I can, on having my choice. The worse they can do is arrest me and jail me, but can you not see how stupid and absurd they'd be when their jails are full of my choice women?
And this is where you argument purposeful or unpurposefully breaks down.
If someone else dictates what fundamental rights you have, even if it is to agree to allow you those rights, then it wasn't a fundamental right and you don't intrinsically have control over that thing.

I guess its impossible for you to understand that "the state" is We The People who get to vote at the next election to decide what our state does. That's democracy, whether you like it or not.
At this point I think you are purposefully conflating these points.

No one is arguing democracy. But there is no We in personal rights.
You do no have freedom if anyone else can decide even through a democratic process what you can do.

Roe v Wade guaranteed Reproductive Health as a fundamental right under the privacy implied in the 14th Amendment. Your body your Choice.
This Supreme Court said that Constitution did not find that Reproductive Health was a fundamental right. Therefore they did not believe you had an absolute right to control your body. So because of that, the states could decide how much control you have over your body.

No one is arguing Democracy or how Democracy works. The question is, if something can be put for vote and decided on my by the majority of that vote, can you intrinsically have personal control of that thing?

Why continue this. It's not what you have been saying all along. This is the specific part I told you I had issue with that you didn't include in this iteration of your remarks. The Supreme Court did in fact say the constitution doesn't grant you the right of control over your body, and so they have allowed each state to decide what control you do have over your body.

budaatum:
This is not what I understood the Supreme Court to have said! The Supreme Court has not even decided what control I have over my body, and have not endorsed my body no choice, yet.

What the Supreme Court said was each state must decide if I have the freedom to control my body or not. And since We The People is the state, they've actually said I should decide. And see us registering in droves to go decide come November.
