The are levels of dishonesty in everything you write. It's as if you know how bullshit your support of Trump is so the only thing you can do is lie.

Senate approves Ivanka Trump-backed paid family leave for federal employees
https://www.cnn.com/2019/12/17/politics/ivanka-trump-federal-paid-family-leave/index.html

While paid leave has consistently had the support of Democratic lawmakers, supportive Republicans were harder to come by.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senate Democratic negotiators secured a tentative agreement for the National Defense Authorization Act to include a significant provision requiring 12 weeks of paid parental leave for all federal employees. A Republican source confirmed that paid leave would be included in the bill.
You are like most Republicans. You vote for Republicans who couldn't give a shit about you while trashing the Democrats who fight for you even when you fight against them.

You're clearly used to talking to people who don't know what the fux they are talking about. Just like you don't.

1.) Trump passed his bill through a process called reconciliation. The Majority of legislation can't be passed that way.
Budget reconciliation is a parliamentary procedure in the United States Congress that allows for the quick passage of certain federal budget legislation in the Senate. The process was created by the Congressional Budget Act of 1974 and has been used to enact laws since 1980, including the 2017 tax act.
Budget reconciliation allows for the consideration of bills that implement policies from a Congressional budget resolution. The process begins when the House and Senate Budget Committees include instructions in their annual budget resolution for other committees to develop legislation. This legislation can affect mandatory spending, revenues, or the debt limit.
Reconciliation gives the Senate advantages for passing controversial budget and tax measures by overriding the Senate's filibuster rules. Reconciliation bills can pass the Senate with a simple majority of 51 votes, or 50 votes plus the vice president's tie-breaker. The scope of amendments is also limited.
If there is anything else you want me to school you on, let me know.

How long were Republicans in control of Presidency Senate and Congress in the last 16yrs vs how much Democrats were

Yet they still whine and complain about not doing it

In 2021, Democrats controlled all level, why didn't they do it?

Because it's not their priority they just lie to electorate

Their priority is to win election and whine for the next 4yrs then blame the party not in power all over
Again, more posting dishonesty.
Can you make any point without being dishonest about it?

1.) In 2021, the Dems 'controlled' the Senate just because Kamala Harris in her capacity as Senate President was the tie breaker. It was a 50-50 Senate. Or 50 Republicans, 48 Democrats and 2 Independents who caucused with the Dems.
2.) There is a 60 vote threshold to break a filibuster. You pretend you don't know the filibuster exists. To fully control the Senate the Dems would have needed a 60 member majority.
60 votes because that is the threshold to pass a bill because that is the threshold to break a Republicans filibuster. As Republicans filibuster most bills. Hence the reason the Dems are being pushed to kill the filibuster.
So, no the Dems did not fully control the Senate in 2021.

But again you knew all this. You just chose to post what you did in some quest to 'appear' right.
Intellectual Dishonesty seems to be your calling card.
Again, if you can't defend you support of Republicans without being dishonest, you should really question that support.

You support things that Dems prioritize. Yet find reasons to lie about it so you can support Republicans who don't support the things you do. That some nasty work your mind is doing.

Ok, so you admit they were Dem priorities. Good.
Now ask yourself why if there were Dem priorities and they controlled the White House for 12 of 16 years why it didn't get done.
Because they didn't fully Control the Congress.
So the Republican Congress who you support blocked these policies which you think are important. Yet you will stuff vote and propagandize for Republicans.

But you already knew that.
You really are a dishonest poster. You push a lot of sound bytes like "Democrats were in power 12yrs in the last 16 and didn't do it", when you 1.) know that it just means that there were Democratic Presidents in those 12 of 16 years.
2.) You already know that Congress is the only one who can pass Legislation and Democrats didn't fully control Congress.

Why do you chose the path of purposeful misinformation, propaganda and intellectually dishonestly?
Do you get paid to push these dishonest posts?
Cuz, I'm not sure why you would come on a discussion board just to be intellectually dishonest. It's clearly not to promote real discussion.
If your views were sufficiently defenseable, you wouldn't need to be dishonest to defend them.

This is what happened this year under a Dem President for a Dem Priority that you promoted in defense of having Trump elected.

2. In December 2019, Trump signed into law a measure that provided 12 weeks of paid parental leave for federal employees
This shit is kinda wild. The two policies you listed were Democratic priorities.
1.) The FMLA(Parental Leave) part was passed because Ivanka pushed it. Ivanka who won't be in the new administration. She got Republicans to agree to pass it.
Senate approves Ivanka Trump-backed paid family leave for federal employees
https://www.cnn.com/2019/12/17/politics/ivanka-trump-federal-paid-family-leave/index.html

There is no way that ear looks like that even if a bullet grazed him. And no way he wore that big pad on his ear during the RNC for that.

My best guess is shrapnel from a bullet that hit a stanchion near the stage or the station itself that hit his ear (shrapnel hit other police officers there as well who had to be hospitalized) and he embellished the rest to get sympathy.

I think Wray's initial statement was correct and they backed down to say it was a bullet or bullet shrapnel when they got Political pressure. Harris needs to fire Wray.

34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
You seem to have also distilled the Bible to hate and judgment and believe somehow Abortion was the only thing Jesus talked about. It wasn't. In fact the word abortion isn't even in the Gospels. The one thing Jesus regularly spoke about you seem to fail in abundance.

As to the Catholic Church. This is what the Pope said about Conservatives.

Pope Francis has suggested that his conservative critics in the United States have a “suicidal attitude ,” in an interview with CBS News.

Asked about criticism from “conservative bishops” in the US who have opposed Francis’ more progressive papacy and efforts to reform the Catholic Church, the Pope paused on the word “conservative, ” saying a conservative is “one who clings to something and does not want to see beyond that. It is a suicidal attitude .”

There is an important difference between taking “tradition into account” and being “closed up inside a dogmatic box ,” Francis emphasized.

Bros, what has the Bible got to do with this ? I mean I’ve read a lot of the arguments about abortion.
You are talking about evil and morals, so I'd assume the basis would be the Bible esp. the Gospels. I grew up in the Church and that is what shaped my view of social justice and made me a Dem. The Dem party though imperfect is closer aligned to the Gospels than the Republicans. Even moreso now with Trump at the helm.

ono:
And of all I’ve read so far, raum’s views stand out. Balanced and well thought out. But we all know, except we want to lie to ourselves, that the vast majority of abortion cases in the US, in fact worldwide come from promiscuity, illicit sex, peer pressure, evil, and demon worship and sacrifice - all that you can think of that definitely does not edify, uplift or build one’s love for what’s good.

Only very very few abortion cases are related to unwanted pregnancies from rape, incest and the likes. Maybe 0.2%.

So, you ask yourself, at what point did America got it morally wrong that something sinister, evil and lewd, gory, vile and disturbing is what they’re now putting up for ballot. Can you imagine this?
As to Abortions, when you start talking about morality, you start talking about Religion. America isn't a Christian country. Our constitution specifically protects the free exercise of religion. We shouldn't be dictating to people what they can do with their bodies based on our own views of Religion. Do I wish there were less abortions, Yes. But, what I can do is try to make it easier for those who may want to keep the baby to do so. The rest is between them and God.

And I don't believe fundamental rights should be balanced. And I think bodily autonomy is a fundamental right. What else as a human should we have sole control over?

But, I guarantee if there was an instance where someone was trying to control your body you'd fight it tooth and nail. Your views are derived from the fact that you are misogynistic (that's what you basically proclaim in your quote below). You don't fundamentally believe women are your equal and have their place. I understand it, I see it alot in Nigeria. I also assume it also speaks to your support of Trump. But, I think that view is outdated.

ono:
Even the Lord God Himself said women should not be allowed to speak in His congregations. Women are not allowed to lead in churches - or even mosques for that matter.

Now this is me o, personally, I dislike it when women lead countries. Yes, some have proven to be good leaders and all, yet, I don’t like it. Not that at this point in the world there’s anything I can do about it anymore. It will take God himself coming down to earth to let humans know his desires - since His words have now been relegated to the background.

And say what you like, I will go with Vance, even though it will be good to know why the woman, Kamala does not have any child (adopted or biologically given birth to) in the first place. Yes, I’m “insensitive” “callous” “mean” etc etc. I don’t care.
