Melania has her own life to live and possibly raise a son while Trump is on the campaign trail

That is why its important to have 2 adults raising kids, Only those who have raised families will know why one parent should be at home
She has to stay home and raise a son who is 18 and should be in College?
And she has a life to live which means she can't support her husband who is running for the most powerful position in the world?

Captain Intellectually Dishonesty is back at it.

Are you aware that Biden refused to provide RFK Jr Secret Service for months. After the Trump assassination they finally gave him.
After he endorsed Trump they yanked it. He is on the ballots in 40 states .
I'm surprised your family let's you cross the street unchaperoned.

There was a threshold of polling support to have Secret Service protection. Kennedy never met it. Biden gave it to him anyways.
Kennedy dropped out of the race, suspended his campaign and endorsed Trump. He is no longer a presidential candidate. You know, dropping out, suspending his campaign and endorsing someone else tells us that. So why would he get Secret Service protection?
This is the reason he shouldn't have had it in the first place. A candidate who couldn't make in on the ballot in 50 states isn't a serious candidate.
He wanted preferential treatment. He's a typical Right Wing person. Rules for thee not for me.

But this post is the same type of bile that the right wing can push out because their supporters are dumb.

So, what’s dishonest about democrats being in power for 12 out of 16 years ? And with policies that basically put the US where it is today ? - where even you of all the trolls here want a change in how the country is governed.

Kamala has little, very little chance of winning in November. No matter what stunt the democrat party plays, even if they try to rig the elections- like they did for the incumbent FJB, it just won’t work this time.
The premise of your question is inherently dishonest. If you don't understand why check out my recent posts with Captain Intellectual Dishonesty Raum. If it's because you don't understand how US laws become law, google "the branches of government". Or watch 'Schoolhouse rock - It's just a Bill'.

kkins25:
The argument on pro-abortion versus anti-abortion largely depends on how society perceives the being of a fetus. Autonomy isn't absolute. For instance, there are some drugs that the pharmacists always ask me to present a doctor's prescription before selling them to me---even against my dying wish and at no harm to society (except my own, of course).

By virtue of being part of society, our claim to autonomy is restricted, and with good reasons. You can't force people who perceive a fetus as its own person to accommodate laws that threaten the "lives" of those fetuses. Mind you, that doesn't make you any more "progressive" than they are.

Note, the argument of personhood doesn't hold water here, either. you'd have to define what you mean by person and how we can measure it.
Agreed to a point, I believe autonomy when it comes to your body should be absolute as I believe your person/body is the greatest form of freedom. So, how society views the fetus becomes irrelevant. Even though there may be another person growing inside of you, until that person becomes fully autonomous, your autonomy should supercede. It does sux to say that, but I think that makes the most sense.

So as to Society, your autonomy should only be restricted if it affects another autonomous person's right to autonomy. So, in your example of the drugs, you are asking someone else to do something for you. That makes sense for the state to regulate.
Foreign Affairs › The Ku Klux Klan Tried To Assassinate President Obama In 2008 by IjeBos(op): 6:04pm On Aug 25, 2024
Deatails of how the racist organisation the KKK(Ku Klux Klan) tried to assinate Obama in 2008 and was prevented by an FBI informant

Inside the KKK plot to kill Barack Obama — and the FBI informant who stopped it
In September 2008, members of a Wayward, Fla., chapter of the Ku Klux Klan concocted an elaborate scheme to kill Barack Obama days before he was elected president.

They planned every detail, identifying the day, time, and location of the hit; obsessing over the senator’s motorcade alignments; securing .50-caliber rifles for the deed; and arranging for the assassins’ vehicles to be destroyed afterward.

There was only one scenario they hadn’t considered: that the intricate plan would be undone by one of their own.
...
Little did his “brothers” know he’d infiltrated America’s oldest hate group as a counterterrorism informant.

“I had to follow [my orders] and do whatever it took to prevent the assassination of Barack Obama,” Moore writes in his new memoir, “White Robes and Broken Badges” (Harper, out now). “Because I was the only one who could.”
Driven by a fervent patriotism and deep disdain for bullies, Moore conducted the FBI’s first-ever undercover operation targeting the KKK.
...
Moore identified several cops and government officials who’d pledged allegiance to bigotry.
...
“I take great pride in dealing a hateful organization a devastating near deathblow,” writes Moore, who now lives with his family in an undisclosed location. “The overall movement in general, though, was far, far from dead or even in decline.”

Moore warns that his time as an inside man illuminated his understanding of just how fractured America has become, identifying former President Donald Trump as a conduit for that division.

He draws a through line from the Ku Klux Klan to modern white nationalist groups to the Jan. 6 insurrection — a connection underscored by Maryland Congressman Jamie Raskin, who writes the book’s foreword.

Do you really think at a Presidential Candidate's rally some random DJ just decides what song to play whenever? Lol. You're nutz.
Presidential campaigns are highly coordinated. The music at their rallies are highly choreographed to coincide with the themes of the Campaign.
Harris walks out to Freedom by Beyonce

Let's just be honest. If a Presidential Campaign gets a cease and desist letter and can't make sure a 'DJ' on a small campaign team doesn't play a song, that candidate does not need to run the US Federal Government with its ~3million employees. A person's Presidential Campaign is the first sign of how effectively they can manage and so manage the Federal Government.

Here is the DNC roll call.
Do you think this DJ just randomly picked this music?

There's a cover up here. Take a look at it, something's definitely not right and lots of people are already asking questions, even maga clay Higgins is shocked at the secrecy on the whole matter.
So, I agree when it happened that it looked off. The hand pumping, the lackadaisical behavior of the agents after the shots. Trump pumping his hand in the air. But, I think most of that is that the Secret Service (SS) is broken and undertrained. They are probably exhausted from the nonstop campaigning for Trump for 4 years. We've never had an ex president behave that way. It must put stress on the whole Secret Service core. I especially believed this when I saw the nonchalant way the let JD Vance walk up to the Vice President Harris's plane. Whoever Vance is, Harris is a constitutional officer and outside of Biden should be a principal protectee. They should probably rotate in different agents so that the teams are getting fresh perspective. After what happened on Jan 6th with Trump's SS team, the SS probably needs to be overhauled.

But these type of conspiracies usually require a lot of people to pull them off. And generally when more people are involved in criming, someone opens their mouth, esp. given that Trump, who doesn't know how to shut up, would have been involved. So, if there was an active conspiracy it will come out in due time esp. esp. given someone died.

So, I'm always cautious of conspiracies (though understand the doubt surrounding this one). And I'm willing to give the FBI/CIA the opportunity to investigate it and see what their findings are.

Also, yes, I don't understand why the Media isn't asking more questions esp. about the shooter. I think Trump has broken the Media too. They are scared of him and his followers. Scared to question whether he overhyped the shooting. The same way the FBI was when they changed Wray's initial assessment that it was shrapnel, to it was a bullet or bullet shrapnel (which would still be shrapnel). No one looking at Trump's ear now can rationally say an intact Bullet hit him.

Of course California probably has the highest amount of probably everything as they have the largest population by far. ~2x the population of Florida.
The stat you are looking for is the welfare recipients per State population. That metric actually helps you differentiate between large states and small states.

I've included the relevant statistic from US News and World Report. 4 out of 5 of the states that have the greatest percentage of SNAP recipients are Republican States.

Among America’s “Low-Information Voters”
https://www.newyorker.com/news/letter-from-the-south/among-americas-low-information-voters

Some interesting sections.

By 2016, Fording told me, low-information voters appeared to be moving to the right. (His analysis specifically examined white low-information voters, whom he defined as those unable to correctly answer two of the three following questions: how long is a U.S. senator’s term, which party currently controls the House, and which party controls the Senate.) “Trump’s whole playbook was to attract these people,” Fording stated. Low-information voters, he found, are more likely to embrace stereotypes of other groups, and less likely to fact-check claims made by politicians. “Trump was kind of the perfect candidate for them,” he said. After the “Access Hollywood” tape leaked, and voters largely stuck with Trump, Fording dug deeper into the low-information category. He came across a metric in psychology called the “need for cognition” scale. “A question that really caught my attention on the scale is an agree or disagree: ‘Thinking is not my idea of fun,’ ” Fording recalled. He and a colleague ran a study to see whether agreement with the statement correlated with support for Trump. It did .
I asked a woman named Juanita, pushing a cart loaded down with watermelons, where she got her political news. “My husband watches it sometimes,” she said. “Trump news. . . .We don’t have Internet.” She continued, “I usually get my news from the Bible. ” A Kroger official briskly approached us. “It’s the end times,” Juanita added. “It’s almost here.”

While paid leave has consistently had the support of Democratic lawmakers, supportive Republicans were harder to come by.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senate Democratic negotiators secured a tentative agreement for the National Defense Authorization Act to include a significant provision requiring 12 weeks of paid parental leave for all federal employees. You're clearly used to talking to people who don't know what the fux they are talking about. Just like you don't.

1.) Trump passed his bill through a process called reconciliation. The Majority of legislation can't be passed that way.
Budget reconciliation is a parliamentary procedure in the United States Congress that allows for the quick passage of certain federal budget legislation in the Senate. The process was created by the Congressional Budget Act of 1974 and has been used to enact laws since 1980, including the 2017 tax act.
Budget reconciliation allows for the consideration of bills that implement policies from a Congressional budget resolution. The process begins when the House and Senate Budget Committees include instructions in their annual budget resolution for other committees to develop legislation. This legislation can affect mandatory spending, revenues, or the debt limit.
Reconciliation gives the Senate advantages for passing controversial budget and tax measures by overriding the Senate's filibuster rules. Reconciliation bills can pass the Senate with a simple majority of 51 votes, or 50 votes plus the vice president's tie-breaker. The scope of amendments is also limited.
If there is anything else you want me to school you on, let me know.

Because it's not their priority they just lie to electorate

Their priority is to win election and whine for the next 4yrs then blame the party not in power all over
Again, more posting dishonesty.
Can you make any point without being dishonest about it?

1.) In 2021, the Dems 'controlled' the Senate just because Kamala Harris in her capacity as Senate President was the tie breaker. It was a 50-50 Senate. Or 50 Republicans, 48 Democrats and 2 Independents who caucused with the Dems.
2.) There is a 60 vote threshold to break a filibuster. You pretend you don't know the filibuster exists. To fully control the Senate the Dems would have needed a 60 member majority.
60 votes because that is the threshold to pass a bill because that is the threshold to break a Republicans filibuster. As Republicans filibuster most bills. Hence the reason the Dems are being pushed to kill the filibuster.
So, no the Dems did not fully control the Senate in 2021.

But again you knew all this. You just chose to post what you did in some quest to 'appear' right.
