That's reporting and News. Fox nor CNN will never put out a statement stating the true reason they let them go. Some for legal reasons. Reporters will get the information from some internal "source" who generally has an ax to grind or wants to deflect blame.

You just have to decide if you trust whatever outlet is doing the "reporting" and how it's sourced.

While Fox seems to have made a wise business decision. They are in a precarious position. They just settled for 700 Billion. Have another case for the same thing coming up where they could easily lose another $700 Billion. They have a shareholder suit in progress for how they handled all the election lies. They have a suit by a top producer ready to spill tea on all the racism, sexism, and machinations that happened in the company. And amongst all this they are renegotiating rates with Cable and Network providers.

I think this was their attempt to get in front of all of it and look like they are being responsive. And honestly, I think Fox made Tucker more than the other way around. Bill O'Reilly was before Tucker and got similar ratings before he was fired as well.

To my surprise, the guy who regularly calls me a token Nigger, who attempts to make fun of my mom's abuse and who regularly calls my g/f and family poverty stricken (though they have no relation to this forum), reported me for the post below in an attempt to get me banned (which he has acknowledged). It worked, which surprised me as well. Now, I can understand if he cared about level of discourse on the forum but esp. given his relationship with SLY we know that's BS.

But that brings me back to the what is going on in the US. Just like Republicans who are incapable of winning arguments because their arguments are weak, they instead attempt to weaponize what they can to win elections and reduce the voice of their opponents. Whereas it be gerrymandering, making sure minorities don't vote, college students don't vote etc. etc. It's an acknowledgement of their weakness such as it an acknowledgement of your weakness Ben.

But what's any forum ban esp. when you're on vacay in the UK? Ben, it's clear this forum means more to you than me. You should try to get off it more often and live real life.

The Judge has already ruled the statements were false, all that is left is for the jury to decide if the statements were made with actual malice. Given the evidence not sure that is a big hurdle. The Judge also sanctioned Fox's attorneys for lying and hiding evidence.

The issue is not just the 1.6 billion they are suing for. It's the penalty damages which are uncapped I believe.
Also, can Fox settle and admit they lied if there are two other companies suing them as well? I don't see Dominion agreeing to a settlement without that admission unless Fox shoves tons of money at them.

Also a lot of this is nuttery. When I was in undergrad I got to spend some time in the UK. Growing up in the Catholic environment I did, I felt like a prude while I was there. The UK's view of sex is much different than the US and their society is still around.
