Masterviolence:It's telling and quite peculiar that you won't say what country you are living in. It seems like you are part of the Russian troll operation talked about below. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/04/13/world/africa/russia-africa-disinformation.html
|
Masterviolence:No, I don't let people characterize things I can read for myself, so I can understand all the caveats of what the person is saying. Why post a clip of someone quoting someone else and then explaining what that person is saying? You can read yourself right? Isn't it peculiar that you quote mainstream CNN to make a point all the while calling them propaganda. And you still haven't linked the article you quoted from. This is how propaganda works. Posting articles saying someone said something or with mis/dis-information without actually posting the facts yourself. |
Masterviolence:You have a habit of making pronunciations without any actual evidence and then backtracking when you get called out on it. I asked you to name the the US journalist arrested in the US for reporting who still remains in Jail. You still haven't. Your links of course doesn't back up your propaganda because it doesn't exist. Trump (who loves Putin and many believed was at the minimum a useful idiot for Putin) and his autocratic tending administration arrested Journalists. There was a national outcry. I believe the charges were eventually dropped. I asked where you live as you don't seem to have a reference point for what an independent judiciary looks like. The fact that you think Russia is the standard is amazing to me but not surprising. It's consistent with all the other propaganda you seem to inhale and regurgitate. |
Masterviolence:I don't reply to clips of other people saying someone else said something. If you want to quote CNN, quote from the actual CNN piece and then post a link to the actual article. I don't do other people telling me how to interpret things or what to think. |
Masterviolence:Not sure what you are talking about. It's sounds like propaganda. If it is not you can list the names of all those still in jail. But reread what you wrote. Trump is like Putin. And if what you wrote is accurate (which I doubt) they were released because in the US the courts are independent and the 1st amendment (freedom of the press) is held sacrosanct. As I said journalists embed with Soldiers. That's why I have so much respect for them. They will literally be on TV 5 feet away from bullets or bombs going off reporting "I am in ___ and a bullet just whizzed by me". They are nutz. Of course they would be in Russia taking a risk for their craft. Masterviolence:Wow. Went through the normal process of the judiciary system? Lol. Russian Judicial system? AHahahahha God you have fallen down the Russian propaganda rabbit hole. Masterviolence:More propaganda. No such map was shown on US TV. You seem to watch a lot of Russian propaganda and seem incapable of separating reality from that propaganda. Also you don't seem to have a frame of reference to compare the things you hear. Let me ask you. What country to do you live in? And do you travel? |
Masterviolence:You seem like you don't. Putin came to power by bombing his own people and making it look like it was separatists that did it. As I said if he can bomb, kill and lie to his own people to gain power, he'll do worse to those who aren't. So, I discount whatever "truth" he's trying to tell me. You are making the argument that every president makes decisions based on what's good for their country but then are ignoring the economic/territorial interests Russia is seeking from it's advancement in Ukraine and other old Soviet block countries. And you are repeating an asinine reason as in "cleansing a country of Natzis" that aren't attacking you or anyone is reason enough to kill 100'000's of your citizens, have millions other flee, lift the mirage that your military is capable and throw your country into economy turmoil. Go back and look at the economic reasons why Russia would want Ukraine and maybe you'll start to understand the truth. It's the same economic reasons that Western countries would rather have Ukraine align with the West. The difference between you and I. 1.) I'm a US citizen. So with the understanding that countries do some things that aren't n the interest of other nations to propel their own interests, being a US citizen those things generally serve me. Whether I agree with them or not. You aren't a Russian citizen (well I assume you aren't). So the things they do in disservice to other nations doesn't serve you. Yet you are here supporting those actions, Why? 2.) I understand that the US has a sordid history abroad, but the values they speak to at home (outside of Trump), is one of democracy, freedom and justice. It's not a perfect country but everyday it moves closer to those ideals. What ideals does Russia hold? What ideals does Russia guarantee it's own citizens? You live in a country (I assume you live in Nigeria) strangled by the same things Russia stands for (corruption, an oligarchy and citizens struggling for basics) and somehow this is the country you think should have some moral imperative over the world? I'll pass. |
Masterviolence:Look it there is currently a Us journalist in Russian jail as we speak. He decided to stay there in danger to himself to report on Russia. I think Jornalists are some of the bravest people in the world. Especially war correspondents who literally put themselves in a war to give us first hand accounts. I don't live in Russia and neither do you(I assume) and I. So, I value the experiences those people there share. You call it propoganda. Re: Bush and Obama, It's called diplomacy. It's easy to extend a hand and hope Putin takes it moves toward you when you have the biggest military behind you. Explain why Putin wants to attack Moldova? Are there Natzis there as well. Watch Russian news if you can. It's what they talk about. And as everyone knows Russian news says what Putin wants them to. |
Appleyard:Explain why he wants to attack Moldova. Are there Natzis there as well? Or was the map that his henchman showed Us propaganda as well? Honestly, you seem quite naïve. I'm not sure why anyone would choose to trust a man like Putin unless it's where they live. Do your research. You should start with how Putin took power in Russia. Then how Russia's economy works. Then the history of Ukraine. In fact research Ukraine's culture. Watch Zelensky's sitcom (Man of the People). It's illuminative. You may understand why Putin is so upset. Then research the people around Putin and their beliefs. He believes the Soviet Union shouldn't have broken apart. Putin wants the dominance of the old Soviet Union. And part of that is the land and wealth of Ukraine, it's ports, it's grain and oil. |
Appleyard:Didn't you prove my point. Your argument is that everyone is lying except the head of the country who censures the media and lies to it's own citizens. If you understood Russian history or who Putin was you'd understand that he is attempting to reconstruct the USSR. There is even a video of Putin puppet Lukashenko showing off a map where they are not only attacking the whole of Ukraine but they have plans to attack Moldova next. I guess they also want to "denatzify " Moldova as well. Here is a link with the pictures of the map. You can google and find the actual video as you'd probably say the pics are made up. https://nypost.com/2022/03/01/belarus-dictator-alexander-lukashenko-appeared-to-show-russian-plans-to-invade-moldova-through-ukraine/ General life rule. People won't treat you better than how they treat the people they care about the most. If Putin censures the truth from his own Russian citizens why do you think he's telling you the truth? And honestly, I blame you being ignorant more than the Russian citizens. They have little choices. You have access to information they don't. |
Everyone should watch that interview. It was a shitshow. Not just for CNN and the mistake it made but for Trump and the Republican Party. Trump seemed more deranged than normal. He rambled and lied and repeated those lies over and over forcefully (I won the election), then at times would shift his position from moment to moment. It was a master class in lying and shamelessness . The Republicans in the audience (and it was only Republicans in the audience) cheered for everything he did. They cheered as he called Collins a "nasty woman", cheered when he said he would pardon J6ers, cheered when he called the black officer who shot the protester a "Thug", and cheered when he was making fun of the women he was found civilly liable of sexual harassment. He could have pulled out a gun and shot Kaitlin Collins and that crowd would have cheered him on. The heart of the Republican party has changed and so the heart of a chunk of America has changed. Trump promotes a lawless, win at all costs and an "ends always justifies the means" mentality. He promotes a nastiness that is also seen on this forum. I think it more broadly speaks to why the country is in this moment of "rage and violence". I don't see how Desantis beats him. Trump is that schoolyard bully and Desantis seems the type who would get bullied. But I don't see how Trump wins any General. Seeing him again will trigger the PTSD he gave us. |

Not sure what CNN was thinking. Kaitlyn Collins was the wrong choice for that. They put her in a terrible position. They decided to have a crowd filled with Trump friendly Republicans and Republican leaning independents. That allowed Trump to bully Collins with the crowds support. I think that's why she stood up to level the power dynamic. She was visibly upset. This also allows Trump to pretend and his supporters to amplify the message that he went into hostile CNN, took on the hostile moderator and had the "CNN" crowd cheering for him in the end. Terrible for CNN. Edit: Will give Collins credit. She did try to fact check him. But it was a tsunami of lies. And the composition of the audience made it worse. A more seasoned interviewer may have fared better. But in the end CNN provided a psychopath a platform just to get ratings. I'm happy he did well though (in the deranged MAGA way). It will help him get the Republican nomination. |
Appleyard:You're spreading misinformation. Reading your post, you seem like you've swallowed Russian propaganda whole. It's odd seeing you don't live in Russia (maybe you do) and so your news sources aren't restricted. You even have the ability to hear in native Russian what the Russian troops on the battle field are saying that isn't censured. You can even watch Russian news and see the panic there even given their news is censored. So, no matter what I say or proof I give you'll call it Western propaganda. So, hopefully you'll diversity your sources of information so you won't repeat stuff like Russia didn't set out to control all of Ukraine or that Russia is just trying to "de-natzify" Ukraine (if you believe this you should probably do a lil research on the Wagner PMC and their neo-Natzi connections). You can start with google and just type (Russia's goals in Ukraine). Here is one article: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-56720589 |
Appleyard:Most of this is wrong. Should probably get better sources of information. If you are not a Paid Russian Troll you should stop reading Russian propaganda. |
uunwanaobong3:Nonsense. Russia sent hit squads to assassinate Zelensky at the beginning of the war. This is getting dangerous and dirty? Russia invaded and is destroying/killing/raping/pillaging a country that didn't attack it. And you think it is getting dirty now? And Russia has some reason to be crying that they may have been attacked? Nonsense If the US had carried that out, it wouldn't have failed. And Russia is struggling to fight Ukraine equipped with old weapons and some donated B-stock Western weapons. What would you think would happen if it faced American's actual trained soldiers and offensive weapons? America spends more on it's military yearly than the next 10 countries combined including China. There was a good article recently on Russia's desire to spread propaganda in Africa by the use of paid trolls and media. I can see it is paying off. |
IMAliyu2:Generally agree with your position as well. But there is one caveat, I think people from both parties should be prosecuted/investigated equally for the same things. We are here talking about Hunter Biden and money he accepted with no discernable policy decisions made on it. While Kushner who worked for the Fed. government, which made very questionable policy decisions vis a vis Saudi Arabia during his tenure received 2 billion from the Same country after he left and a ton of much needed financing for his 666 Fifth Ave holding. Not including the money Trump continues to make from the Saudis for his LIV tournaments. etc. etc. |
IMAliyu2:This is from the House's report. Basically, Biden's family received money. They didn't investigate it but they know it is bad. Usually people don't release stuff like this without an understanding of what the money was for and/or the actions were illegal. Usually, investigations don't happen without a predicate. There is no accusation of a quid pro quo agreement, no accusation that he did something that was contrary to US policy for money. Here they are investigating someone because ...? “The amount of money involved in these financial transactions is significant. The wires and money transfers range from approximately $5,000 to at least $3 million. Any services provided for these fees would likely have corresponding invoices, and the companies may also maintain books and records detailing the use of such funds. The parties should have contracts, agreements, or other communications setting forth the terms of the engagement and expectations of the parties. The Committee intends to obtain those materials—to the extent they exist—as part of its investigation.”https://oversight.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Bank-Memorandum-5.10.23.pdf |
Here is Allen police on the Allen Mall Shooter. Since some people get their info only from videos: "We do know that he had Neo-Nazi ideation. He had patches, he had tattoos, even his signature verified that."

This had me chuckling. Rules for thee and not for me.

New FBI ad. This is what Republicans have wrought on the USA. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeOdxKozra0 |
1stGenAmerican:Lol. Would have expected a little more commitment to the Lie. 1stGenAmerican:Unfortunately that's the currency of weak "men". And this thread seems to attract them. |
feedthenation:Happy she got some justice, but a little nervous that some Republicans might peel away since I want him to be the GOP nominee. Who am I kidding. They're Republicans. He'll probably get a "grab her by the pu**y" bump. |
Weregonnalose:Thanks for asking. 1.) I mentioned I liked the bottle. Went to the bathroom. And the bottle was there when I got back. I smiled and snapped it. That imaginary g/f of mine bought it for me. 2.) Had no need to open it there. That imaginary g/f of mine got us an all inclusive package which included Top shelf liquor, any food at all the restaurants at the resort and room service. Drank and ate from morning till night. 3.) That price is in Mexican Pesos Keep crying and I'll keep sharing. |

Fascinating interview with the creator of a Justice Thomas documentary. One interesting take away was at one point he only listened to his wife and Rush Limbaugh. https://www.msnbc.com/morning-joe/watch/clarence-thomas-documentary-charts-the-justice-s-controversial-path-173481541857 |
benalvino3:You spend day and night here discussing US politics. Post after post discussing US politics. This US thread is the the only thread you post in on Nairaland. You supposedly visit the US for the first time ever, you post on this thread while you are in the US, yet didn't discuss your visit. Can't answer what state you were in and post a pic of what looks like someone's house near a bush. Next you'll claim you got a degree while you were there like others in this thread. Is any of that reasonable? The lies people tell in this thread. |
benalvino3:No coke but at some point will open this. Keep crying. Did you ever figure out what state you were "in"? Lol.
|
SlyFoxx447:Mr. Femi Ajose. The fact that you think anyone has to troll Instagram to post my pics is a testament to the life you life and your believe that you have to lie, post other peoples degrees, passports, etc. in order to live well. Knowing people like you exist is depressing. Maybe if you spent 1/4 of the time you spend on various forums discussing the US hustling, maybe you'd have more than 15,000 Naira in your account(which your mom sent you) and would be able to afford some of these things yourself. Or even be the guy those woman went on trips with instead of drooling over their pics. |
benalvino3:So what made you take or post that picture of that "Bush"? I guess poverty is what makes someone post pictures of a broke down looking house in the bush while pretending that they are in the US. Like all conservatives don't pay attention to what they say, look at what they do. Like you and these pics and you and your "Christianity". |
benalvino3:Envious of what? You stupidity is only matched by your delusion. If you don't want me posting pics or talking about my life, you should STFU about it then. No one asked you to lie about being in the US. No one asked you to post a pic of a house in the "bush in the US" to augment that lie. Now that you're called out, your camera broke and you don't know what state you are in. Lying seems to be a common trait amongst those who live in this forum but don't live in the US. |
benalvino3:Mr. Mental Midget indeed. I project what I suffer from? Below is what I was suffering this weekend . Your story is not credible. And there are no amount of phony pics you post that will make it so. "Birthday loading" trip from my imaginary g/f
|
budaatum:I'm not sure what Republicans are thinking. They are marching straight to a loss and then the inevitable the "election was stolen." They believe America is going to vote for a man who is most likely going to be indicted 2 more times and who was probably one of the worst presidents in History. The Republicans I know are even tired of him. He's an exhausting person. |
