Emoc:The last few pages of this thread.. both disturbing and depressing. Thought the holidays would at least have tempered the depravity. Guess not. I find the weakest of men(emotionally) are the most sexist. It's also odd when I hear people who actively live in Nigeria (probably their village), talk about the collapse of the USA. It's a total lack of self-awareness. The US could collapse 50% and still have better living conditions than the majority of Nigeria for the majority of Nigerians. Honestly your time is better spent focusing your energy on helping the country you and your family live in. I'm saying this as someone who loves Nigeria. |
Happy Holidays All! |
feedthenation:Who would have thunk? lol? As I keep saying, the Republican party is a fraud meant to appeal to and grift from the uneducated and gullible. No rational Republican leader really believes the nonsense they peddle to their followers, But a lot on this board swear to it. |
basilico:Have you read the whole thing? Do you know how the FBI generally deals with Companies when it comes to National Security issues? Do you know how the FBI generally repays Companies when they ask them questions? Do you know if how the FBI dealt with Twitter differs from how they deal with other similar companies? Do you know what the law requires when the FBI asks companies questions? The answer to all those questions would be a NO. And because you have little understanding into any of this, how does reading portions of the twitter files substantially inform you? The goal is to incite, because without necessary qualifications and information that's all it will do. Ex. OMG the FBI paid twitter money. Yeah, but that's general practice with any company they ask information of because it is legally required. Now, how do I know, because I wanted to understand it, so I googled it and that lady who I told you to check actually flagged it as well. Read the info on this site. You don't have to believe him. He links the law. If you don't trust that, you can go find the law yourself and read it. No, The FBI Is NOT ‘Paying Twitter To Censor’ https://www.techdirt.com/2022/12/20/no-the-fbi-is-not-paying-twitter-to-censor/ As with pretty much every one of these misleading statements regarding the very Twitter that he runs, where people (I guess maybe just former people) could explain to him why he’s wrong, it takes way more time and details to explain why he’s wrong than for him to push out these misleading lines that will now be taken as fact. And I linked the law as an attachment: Honestly, it's only fair if you want to discuss this stuff on this forum, that you do you your own homework and come here somewhat informed. And to atomically dismiss anything as misinformation without actually reading it yourself honestly doesn't say good things about your intellectual curiosity.
|
basilico:The left took over Twitter? Huh? Twitter was founded in San Francisco, CA. That should give you an idea of it's origin. But, I can't go though your post correcting it. It's a mishmash of pseudo-facts, misinformation, and weird inferences. I think wherever you are getting your info is purposefully misleading you. Try some new sources. Here is one whose legal and national security analysis I find useful and is generally spot on. https://twitter.com/emptywheel You don't have to trust her analysis, but she always links the primary sources/documents when she can. At the minimum it's a good counter to whatever info you are getting. And If you confident in what you believe, a differing perspective shouldn't threaten you. |
basilico:I'll give credit for that. basilico:1.) None of that bothers me. Twitter was started by liberals, as I said before they believe in speech and ideas and ways to have those ideas reach everyone. Those employees understood the vision of Twitter. And because it was successful, one can argue their vision was good and well executed. That being said Twitter even when it was Publicly traded was still a for profit company and the board had a fiduciary responsibility to it's shareholders and that means a responsibility to keep it's advertisers happy. If advertisers would not advertise on a site that allowed certain things like antisemitism and racism, they would filter it out. Even then, they had a deliberative process in place to deal with it. Trump, like all things he did, pushed the boundaries, stress tested the system and put the owners in an impossible situations. But, I think they did the best they could weighing all potential harms. And in the US Freedom of Speech isn't absolute in the realm of Government protected rights let alone Private Rights. 2.) All this happened during the Trump Presidency. And you are talking about a very Conservative FBI, let by a Republican Trump appointed Director. I'm not sure the argument. The conservative FBI wanted to go after conservative Trump so that liberals could win? If the FBI is that mendacious, wouldn't they have gone after Liberals to put conservatives in power all those years during the Obama administration. At some point facts have to win out. 3.) Compare the Twitter of pre-Musk to it now. No matter how many employees donated to Dems (Not saying that 95% number is accurate), how many times did Twitter leadership come out and OPENLY support Democrats? Or trash Republican Leaders? Or tell Twitter members how to vote? You seem to be looking hard and reading tea leaves for evidence of partisanship under Dorsey while ignoring the overt Partisanship with Musk. 4.) I assure you there are more ex FBI agents working in companies that favor Republicans than vice versa. And all the rest of the "twitter files" stuff seems to be standard fare amongst the FBI and US companies. Read some counter analysis/opinions on the twitter files from agents/lawyers who've worked at the FBI. |
basilico:You are tiresome. You really googled it and picked the part that you thought would help your argument without actually fully reading or understanding it. Harry Reid ended the Filibuster jut for non-Supreme Court justices because Republicans had weaponized it. Mitch McConnel then ended it for Supreme Court justices. You should have already learned not to argue with me. |
basilico:Factually wrong. Mitch McConnel ended the Filibuster for Supreme Court Judges through the Nuclear options when Trump was elected after not allowing a vote on Obama's Supreme Court pick Merrick Garland. Google is your friend. |
And worse. (My highlighting)
|
Wow. And the only reason the IRS started the audits is because Congress requested Trump's taxes and information about the audits of the taxes. Here was the post. The thing with Trump, it's always turns out to be worse than you imagined. Expect more shoes to drop. IjeBos: |
Obrigardo:I'll find my post later. But I mentioned this was one of the legislative purposes that the Congress was seeking his taxes... to see if in fact he was being audited like he was supposed to. |
Introductory Material from the Jan 6 committee final report. https://www.npr.org/2022/12/19/1143650032/read-an-executive-summary-of-the-jan-6-committees-final-report *Haven't read it yet |
benalvino3:I think it is more than symbolic. But yeah, the DIJ can choose to or not to do anything, separation of powers and all. But, that being said, the DOJ has to do something, maybe not indict Trump, but they have to make it clear that this type of stuff can't happen again. Put the fear in people. |
PDPGuy:Could of had a quid pro quo. I endorse you, you pardon me. The only problem is the pardons don't stop State Level prosecutions. |
Tesla Buyers Are Bailing Because of Elon Musk, the 'Worst Troll' Tesla salespeople say "a lot" of customers canceling orders blame Musk's Twitter behavior. https://www.cnet.com/tech/tesla-buyers-are-bailing-because-of-elon-musk-the-worst-troll/ https://www.cnet.com/tech/tesla-buyers-are-bailing-because-of-elon-musk-the-worst-troll/ Same here. Was looking at a Tesla for early 2023, but can't give my money to someone like him. Going to test drive other electric/hybrids out there. Problem for Tesla, there's some good competition.
|
Obrigardo:Unfortunately, the Feds are scared to go after wealthy individuals esp. Republican ones. Look at Trump and how far he's gotten. But you're right about the intervention. I actually think one did happen and this poll is a pretext for that. He loses, he leaves, he wins, he shows the people who tried to intervene he is right. Either way he wins. But I may be wrong. Edit: The Tesla board should have had him removed already. Imagine the CEO of TESLA talking about owning the libs. Does he understand who buys and has supported TESLA. It's those libs in those Blue states who represent a large part of the US economy. In fact it was the subsidies and Green policies by Dem Presidents and Dem Governors that supported TESLA. |
All so normal. But conspicuous that it comes after his trip to Qatar.

SlyFoxxProblem:Good question. Tell us all. Why is it that you come on here and lie to complete nobodies in a faceless forum? I have my theories but you should sit back and explore why you do it for yourself. SlyFoxxProblem:Hmm.. If there was only a global incident that happened recently to explain why someone would have chosen not to travel as extensively for a 1.5 year period. Hmmm.. I wonder if such a GLOBAL thing occurred. Lol. You are such a tool. SlyFoxxProblem:So, you want us to believe that you are back in London for the 1st time in 2 years and decided to spend one of your weekend nights in London with your Goons, while living your international Big Boi life, talking sh*t to people on NairaLand? And then the next day in the middle of the World Cup while chilling with your friends you haven't seen in 2 years write a term paper from the small screen on your phone? Yeah, that totally makes sense now.. Lol. #StoriesFromAFakeInternationalBigBoi SlyFoxxProblem:Ahh, you initially threatened to have me arrested as I got off the plane, now you'll do it if we meet up? I see you're already shifting the goal posts. Lol. #StoriesFromAFakeInternationalBigBoi |
SlyFoxxProblem:You posted online at 11:30pm about how you were in London, with your goons, spending money, while online on Nairaland. Nothing wrong with being on Nairaland, but lying about what you are doing to perpetrate some fraud.. yeah there is. Same nonsense you were doing when you said you were at some "Big boy" wedding in Abuja while typing away on this Forum. Btw, I was in London in Sept. did I mention it? No.. because to some, it's just life. And your still talking about that "money" in "your" London account (notice the quotations)? Add 2 zeroes and then get back to me. SlyFoxxProblem:But aren't you tired of the same insults and threats? They aren't even creative and they're getting repetitive. "Rape your mother/sister" (what type of person even thinks that?), "wipe ass"(as if people who take care of others or just hustle in that way aren't to be celebrated). The stuff you write just reveals your adolescence and the depravity of your soul. But continue. SlyFoxxProblem:Promise eh? Lol. Just to show your impotence, I'll post a couple of pictures when I'm in Nigeria. Serious question though. How are you this much of a Loser? |
SlyFoxxProblem:You're in London, with your "goons" sending messages on Nairaland at 11:30pm on a Sat. night? Does any of that make sense to you? Lol. Hopefully you're just lying about where you are, the alternative? .... As I said before, you need some more work on this "international big boy" fraud of yours. |
benalvino3:Both stories are perfect for the cult of personality. Elon's doxing story is especially perfectly tailored for non critical minds. Musk is/was the richest person (outside of putin) in this world. I'm sure he has Top-tier security. What would someone do with his plane details anyhow? (In fact before I head to the airport to pick someone up, I put their flight number in google and can easily find out where it is). Assuming he is the one on the plane, when he gets off, you'd have to first find him and then deal with his private security. There are probably far easier ways to get to him, like just following him from his house or following his kid to/from school, or just going to one of the places where he has announced he will be. It's an utter nonsense story. Here is Musk entering then almost immediately leaving a journalist's Twitter Spaces chat after getting questions. https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1603612770892918784 |
When a conservative loses Drudge, they're in trouble. That being said Drudge is trying to give him an out with the Ambien talk
|
wirinet:This isn't the worst part. The major announcement? Trump trading cards for sale. I kid you not. I am embarrassed for him. The con that keeps on conning. The Grifter in Chief.
|
Obrigardo:It's like he really didn't believe all that talk about free speech and was just trying rile up the Trump base. Who would have thunk? |
adamusuleiman1:Twitter has become almost unusable for me since after the merger. I used to go on there for news or analysis on things. Now it's just full of random adverts and random posts from right wing nutters. He definitely changed the algorithm to make it less predictive of things you'd be interested in. Don't see myself using it much longer if this continues. |
feedthenation:Probably more indicative of which countries have more readily available data/internet. That being said, the US is also a very repressed country. |
Obrigardo:Every election. Do their viewers every wonder what happens to the caravans after the elections? A friend of mine who does charity work in Haiti, believed during the last election there was actually US conservative money that funded the Caravan. She was telling me that she was hearing (while in Haiti) people getting messages telling them the US border was open to them and they could get to the US legally. She wondered who was funding those messages and why. I'm not sure.. but.. |
benalvino3:Real question. How do you any of this? Did you take a US Justice class in Nigeria that specifically dealt with FISA courts? Explain to me how you know any of this if you did not go to the internet to look it up? And, how did you know any of this before I explained it to you? You seem to still not even understand how the court works. benalvino3:It was not 11 judges. "The Court" is not what you think it is. "The Court" consists of 11 judges, not all 11 judges rule on every case. One judge is chosen to hear the matter. And a Federal Judge is a Federal Judge. In fact to go deeper, In the US (where I live), Liberal judges are more inclined to side with defendants than the FBI/Police when it comes to individual rights. Conservatives and Conservative judges are more inclined to as you've heard "back the blue", side with law enforcement whether they are police or the FBI, and give them more leeway when it comes to individual cases. The judge saw all the evidence. Period. I've explained to you how. Lastly, the FISA court was setup so there would be a process that introduced some checks and accountability in a process where the target is unaware he/she is being surveilled and has no way to contest it. But at the end of the day, if the FBI goes to a FISA judge for a FISA warrant, the implication is that there are NATIONAL SECURITY matters at hand. The FISA judge will most likely grant it if the application doesn't look too crazy. benalvino3:So then, why don't you tell us all what Clinesmith did. And how you think what he did was tantamount to a Coup. I'm clear you don't really know or you wouldn't be contorting yourself in a pretzel like this. You seem so focused on defending your wrongness than challenging it. Not a healthy way to live. |
benalvino3:It's like explaining Us government to you. You spin like a top. 1.) You don't seem to understand what the FISA court is. The FISA court just consists of individual Judges who are picked by the chief Justice to rule on FISA applications. Because of the secrecy of the matters before each Judge, the Judges have to trust the things the FBI tells them when seeking applications. There is no adversarial system, no defense council, just the FBI asking the court to allow them to invade our rights. So, lies or omissions in the applications are serious, BECAUSE THE JUDGES HAVE TO TRUST THEM . That is what they were speaking to. But you can prove me wrong, by just posting the part where they say "they wouldn't have approved the application based on the omission". Again, you are inferring things the statement does not say. How the court works: https://www.fisc.uscourts.gov/sites/default/files/Leahy.pdf 2.)Now Boasberg is a federal judge. He may be appointed to be on the Fisa Court next. Who knows. But when a matter comes before a Federal Judge, he gets to see everything no matter how classified. So, this Judge, who saw everything, then decided that he believes, it wouldn't have changed anything. What is the difference between him and the Judge who initially ruled on it? They both had the same information. None.. just you deciding to call him Partisan because he doesn't believe what you want him to believe. 3.) Example: A kid tells his mom his friend said their teacher says they need $20 for a field trip tomm in school. The mom asks the son if he asked the teacher directly. The son, not wanting to take the time to ask the teacher says yes. The mom gives him the money. The mom later finds out that the son lied about directly asking his teacher. But the Mom also does know for a fact the teacher did say they needed the money. Does the boy lying about asking the teacher mean that Mom wouldn't have given him the money knowing the teacher said it was needed? That situation is akin to this one. Which you are making like there was some coup on the US. Without the omission, the underlying facts supported the application. PERIOD |
benalvino3:And in your own words, please explain to me what the FISA court slamming the FBI has to do with the Boasberg belief that the Clinesmith's conduct wouldn't have changed anything? You know both can be true. The FISA court which relies on the truth in FISA documents can be upset that FBI submitted a non FULLY factual application but that even if the APPLICATION was submitted without the offending part it would have still been approved. See; Adults CAN REASON. benalvino3:1.) I don't prove negatives. The 2 Not Guilty Jury Verdicts I've already talked about above would be sufficient for a rational person. 2.) Durham did not find Clinesmith's FISA court "lie". The Justice Department Inspector General did and it was forwarded to Durham. Soo you must clearly have Dementia. Try to prove me wrong. 3.) Now, show me outside of Clinesmith (which Durham himself did not find) what Durham found. Not the nonsense he put in briefs to rile up his base. But convictions he got based on those facts he put in his briefs to rile up his base. I'll help you there was NOTHING . And if you really want to understand the rather complex issue that is the Carter Page, Clinesmith and the FISA application. Here is a good article. You don't have to agree with his analysis of the facts. But look at the facts alone. This is really a NON ISSUE. The Trump Administration’s Double Standard of Justice https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/12/kevin-clinesmith-doj-sentencing/617350/ Edit: People constantly lie to you. And you regurgitate those lies. When called out, you double down on those lies and then go back to those people that lie to you for more lies. What would you call someone in a relationship that did that? |
benalvino3:Where did you get this from? Point to your source? Here is my source; a Federal judge who looked at all the evidence. Boasberg agreed on that point as well, saying he wasn’t convinced that fully disclosing Page’s relationship with the CIA would have led to the surveillance of him being denied or ended. “It is not at all clear to me the FISA warrant….would not have been signed but for this error,” the judge said. https://www.politico.com/news/2021/01/29/fbi-lawyer-trump-russia-probe-email-463750 Oh yeah, Boasberg must be a Deep State Asset. benalvino3:Let's assume you are 100% right in this in this nonsense. What was Durham's(who had all the same power Mueller did) reason for not finding anything? Oh yeah, he must be a "Deep State" Asset as well. Or all the Judges he faced were "Deep State" assets as well. Maybe the "Deep State" rigged the jury process. Or maybe the "Deep State" just paid off everyone involved. You see how lazy your logic is. Instead of actually justifying your indefensible position with a coherent argument, you just yell "DEEP STATE". You are in Nigeria talking about "deep state" conspiracies in another country. Mental illness is real. Get yourself checked. |

Lol show me where I have ever mentioned taking any drugs on Nairaland asides alcohol and a little Mary J. Lol. You must think I am one of your crack fiend mother’s customers or something. Hahahha. Anyone comparing the quality of my posts, opinions and vocabulary to yours can only come to the conclusion that you are the one with a history of drug addiction. What else explains your constant irrational and maniacal ranting and hyperventilating about republicans in this forum all day, everyday? You are a complete waste man and don’t even know it.
