Lol @ a Republican nominating an African American for Speaker, promptly comparing him to Jeffries as the 1st 2 African Americans ever nominated at the same time, then saying they don't choose people based on skin color. ahahhahahahaha

This thread.... Some of these discussions are mind numbingly vacuous. These mods need to get better at making sure banned people remained banned or at least a mute poster button.

Exactly. You said the truth and nothing but the truth
Not sure about that. At some point there will have to be a consensus candidate that emerges that can get 218 Republican votes, maybe Scalisle or Stefanik. Seems personal that they want McCarthy to go down.

He's not sufficiently crazy enough. MAGA doesn't really care about governing, just getting in front of Fox News. But Jim Jordan's speech was very interesting. Seems it had more of an air of a campaign speech for himself.

Maybe you can there and stop living in your liberal bubble and regurgitating what Dr Fauci says about covid

Your causal relationships being studied by two Jap proffesors.

1.) Dr McCullough? Literally Baylor had to get a restraining order on him to get him to stop saying he is affiliated with him.
2.) GoodSciencing? https://www.factcheck.org/2021/12/scicheck-article-makes-unfounded-claims-linking-athletes-injuries-deaths-to-vaccines/

I'm not doing this with you again. A quick google search would have stopped you from posting the nonsense above. But, I'm not sure you even research the stuff you post or have the intelligence to understand it.

You keep talking about liberal bubbles. Where the f do you think the majority of medical advances come from? Yes, liberal scientific bubbles in either liberal Ivy school sponsored research institutions or Companies started by those same grads. You really really really sound uninformed.

I try to treat everyone as a rational equally intelligent person. You've consistently proven you're neither. You're unwilling to do the work to have rational discussions or bring anything thoughtful to the conversation here. And so replying/reading what your write offers me no value. Good luck.

What is incorrect ? Misinfo is the new liberal term for maintaining their safe space
Everything you wrote is wrong. Begin by taking a course in logic and statistics. You don't even seem to understand the difference between causation and correlation. Then start by figuring out where those stats are coming from; are they accurate, did the people who died actually get covid shots. Then compare the accurate numbers to numbers from previous years. And ask yourself if there was actually a statistical increase after the covid shots. Then the next step and the next step. It's called the scientific method. I did a quick analysis of these claims, and 1.) the numbers are wrong 2.) some people int he numbers who were claimed to have died from covid shots didn't even have covid shots, some died even before covid shots were even available. And there isn't even a statistical increase from prior years.

Honestly, I'm trying not to be insulting, but you sound so uneducated right now. A lot of the fallacies in your post are things I learned in high school. It makes me realize how blessed I am at the education I received. You also seem to jump from one nonsensical conspiracy theory to another even as they are all proven to be lies. You should figure out why.

But real talk, you shouldn't be putting out medical information if you aren't a medical doctor or haven't studied it thoroughly yourself. Esp. since it can get people killed. That should be a simple thing to understand. People's health isn't a game.

That’s another point though.

But most people that buy dollars buy it because they really need it for online purchases. People don’t just buy dollars for fun. So most of those people will be forced to go to black market increasing the demand for dollars
I hear you. Another consideration is I assume when some people get to the black market and realize their purchase will be ~2x the cost, they'll rethink that purchase.

They are buying it cheap from CBN ,then instead of settling their customers international transactions ...they are selling to their friends for profit these bankers should be lined up and shot !! for sabotaging our country very corrupt ppl
Yeah, I'm sure this is one of the principle reasons the naira is so high. Until the government gets serious about cracking down on Arbitrage, why would anyone who gets forex from CBN, not turn around and sell it on the black market. That's about a ~N300 profit per dollar for doing nothing.
Business › Re: GTB Suspends International Transaction On Naira Cards by IjeBos(m): 8:46pm On Dec 30, 2022

Naira card is cheaper to use against dollar card. The option that favors naira most is using naira card to get dollar at a cheaper rate.
Now that they have stopped the use of naira card, people will be forced to buy dollar at black market rate which will further increase the demand for dollar and increase in the price of dollar
Not sure about the end of your logic. If the supply of dollars comes from the same place and people are forced to buy at the BM rate instead of the lower rates from their cards, less people will probably buy dollars. If less people buy dollars, there will be downward pressure on the exchange rate.

The policy sux, but maybe the most equitable solution. People who have the ability to do international transactions shouldn't be able to get those dollars when others can't at that rate.

Nothing wrong with discussions.. we only grow/lean things by challenging our previous understandings.
That being said, this is literally the Politics thread. Probably the one thread on issues that people's opinion of those issues can effect (voting, political advocacy).

Travel › What Amazing Vacation Places/destination Have You Been To In West Africa? by IjeBos(op): 4:50pm On Dec 30, 2022
I realized I don't do a lot of West Africa travel and would love to switch it and check out some new places in 2023.

I'm looking for recommendations for any interesting weekend vacation trips I can do in and around W. Africa. Ideally the location would meet some of these criteria.
1.) Interesting - City/location/Resort with great food and something spectacular or noteworthy about it. Something spectacular could just be the local culture.
2.) Convenient - Something I can fly/drive to on a Thurs night/Fri morning and return that following Mon. morning.
3.) Safe and Nice - The accommodations have to be nice, safe and have great customer service.

Looking forward to hearing about and hopefully exploring these places.

He's not wrong. You went out in Lagos, felt nice when some random woman sat at your table, let them order at your table and them let them walk out. It sounds like you've never been out at night before. I'm at that Four Points often and unfortunately I treat every woman I meet there (there's a huge contingent of ashawo who come there), in fact I treat every woman I meet at night in Lagos as ashawo, until I know otherwise. The kind of stuff I've seen is mind boggling. Woman ordering extra meals to go home, extra meals for their husbands, mothers. Just wild. Chalk it up as a cheap lesson learned.

1) it has nothing to do with the OP. You’re too dull to realize I was dissing YOU by implying your (imaginary) girlfriend cannot even make this simple meal. Gosh you’re daft.

2) you’re proud to say your useless girlfriend cannot even cook grin I’m not surprised about that sha. Because that which does not even exist definitely can’t cook. Hahah Olodo has never even dated a career woman who can still hold it down in the kitchen. You’re a serious bolo With a worthless woman I swear.

3.) I just like you na. I don’t know why you hate me so much. It’s me and you on this nairaland hehehe.
I guess since she has house help and a driver, it means she doesn't know how to clean or drive... Your stupidity is limitless. When you get to the point where your time is actually worth something, you start deciding what to outsource as it actually saves you money(time). Hopefully you'll get there one day, but you seem more focused on wasting your time stalking me and bragging about paying 3k ashawo for sex.

But continue stalking me, I'm done engaging with you.

2.) My girl doesn't cook for herself or me (unless I ask for something particular). She has a cook for that. Learn about value of your time. But you wouldn't understand dating a successful woman, being that the closest you get to women are the 3k ashawo you pay.
3.) Continue your stalkerish ways, running through threads mentioning my name. Can you be any more of a LOSER.

Mark Meadows who derided Hilary Clinton for not retaining Govt. Records, not only copied classified documents to give out to people with out clearance, but also burned documents in his White House fireplace. I don't even think the problem are these phony politicians. I think it's the people who though they receive ample evidence that they are phony, continue to stand by them.

That’s why you keep saying things like “holy shit, in Lagos,” as if Lagos is some wasteland. I really wonder if you have been to Lagos lately to see what your mates are doing here lol. You will shit in your pants bro. Your annual salary in Murica is going down on drinks in some nightclubs on the island. If you don’t know let me tell you that for free hahah.

Sad little man. You reek of regret and desperation in all your posts attacking Nigeria and you think we can’t see it. Yea I talk about fvcking ho’s becuase that’s all this website is good for to me. What does that have to do with anything?

In another news, have you seen George Santos? Heard he's nowhere to be found.
Read an article about him today. Seems he admitted to some of the lies but intends to say in office. In a different era, he would have bowed out as his party would have forced him to. But with the advent of Trump and his brand of no accountability politics, he won't. Santos is at the apex of his power, esp. as the prospect of criminally charges loom large. McCarthy needs his vote and there is less of a chance a R will win again in that district. So, I'm sure they've made a deal for him to stay for his vote, well until he is indicted. Then he can scream witch hunt.
