Well given that Biden got out of the race the 21st. It would assume most of the polling was done prior to that decision and prior to people being fully aware. The polling started July 19th and ended the 21st.

I hope you can figure out why polling done a full day after Biden exists the race may be more representative.

I'm not arguing the swing is accurate, but Polling fully done when people are clear that Harris is the nominee may account for that.

Here is the original schedule the Debate Commission sets. The Debate Commission used to set the schedule for these debates. For this cycle, it was set in 11/2023, when there was no nominee on either side. Trump and Biden chose not to use them and debated even before they were nominated.

I lost a very close family member. I can remember the exact day, can remember what happened that day, but the year, if I think hard enough and base it off of other things that happened in my life. Sure, maybe. I'm not even sure why that is. But, I'm not alone in that. Other people who have lost people have said similar. I'm sure some psychologist has some explanation why it fades for some people and some people remember the day/year exactly.

But for Hur to mention it and play armchair psychologist and then to use it as a means to attack Biden's memory is disgusting. Death is traumatic and everyone handles it differently. The death of family esp. children should be off limits in politics.
