US was never fully oil independent. Gas prices were lower because of the pandemic, no one drove. In fact. gas prices were so low, Trump made an agreement with OPEC to cut oil supply so that the prices would rebound and increase. So US gas prices started rising under Trump. But under Biden the US is at an all time high with Oil and Energy production. In fact outside of inflation every metric is better under Biden than Trump. The US Economy generally does better under Democratic Presidents.

Immigration is the only area that was doing ok and that was because the border was largely shut down due to a Covid Health Emergency law. After Covid, you couldn't use the law. The problem with the border is that asylum(look it up) is a US law. A president can't arbitrarily change that. The law has to be rewritten which the Republicans won't do.

You can google most of this stuff yourself. Again, assume everything you think you know about the US is wrong. It is.

Been explained here that in Pennsylvania one needs to register as a voter to participate or rather spoil the votes of your different party by fronting a weaker candidate. Nikki Haley had majority democrat voters in some primary states.

His classmates say he was Conservative and hung out with Red Hats (people in the US don't wear Trump hats unless they are MAGA, it's like a scarlet letter).
His profile, from wearing army fatigues to joining the gun club etc etc. is very conservative. Unless more information comes out that he had a recent change in ideology, it is clear he held Conservative views and was a Republican.

Judge Cannon just dropped the Trump Documents case citing that the Appointments clause used to appoint Jack Smith was unconstitutional.
This was the same appointments clause used to appoint Hunter Biden's Prosecutor, that got him a guilty sentence. And the Special prosecutor that investigated Biden.
And she did this all before the start of his convention.

Feelings against him now are really set in.
Not sure how this changes the vote of people who really really dislike him. Or makes him any more a palatable person. And I may be wrong, but historically I don't think an attempted assassination has helped any candidate.
And I also think Trump can't help himself. So any sympathy he may have garnered would go away the minute he reverts to his old self.

If this classmate is to believed, it seems like he was a Conservative in High School. With the army fatigues he wore in school, the t-shirt he wore the day of the shooting, shooting guns in Highschool and his gun club membership, it seems the picture may be getting clearer as to his political leanings. That's not America. That's Trump and his MAGA base. Democrats respect people who gets things done over the fakeness. Trump is more fake bravado than actual get it done.
