Vance is being torched like a bonfire.
|
She declined to speak to Biden because , obviously Trump may get mad and she may not see that pot of gold that has been collected for her husband. Yet, Trump who was pumping his fists in the air as her husband was dying hasn't called her yet. At some point how stupid do you have to be to be a Trump follower? Jesus.
|
feedthenation:His decision has been roundly panned. How does Ohio's Senate seat work? Does Vance have to resign his seat to be on the ticket for VP? He just wan in 2022, so his next election would be in 2028. |
LordAdam16:You can't use Neocon as a negative epithet when Vance's mentor is Peter Thiel and Netanyahu used to sleep in Trump's son in law's Bedroom when he visited NY. But you also assume they know what a neocon is. |
So, it seems we had an assassination attempt a couple of days ago without an assassin. Seems all talk of the shooter has disappeared from Republican mouths. I wonder why that is. Could it be because all the evidence so far points to the fact that he was a Conservative or Republican? |
bemeruca:Let me help you with that word irrelevant. You are either filing asylum in Canada or have been deported back to Nigeria. So, what my country does is irrelevant to you. Keep cooning away for a Republican party you can't even vote for. lol You're a waste of breath. |
LordAdam16:Some decently reasoned commentary. Except anyone who's smart who supports Trump is a grifter and opportunistic. People like Vance are too smart to actually believe what Trump is peddling. Most of it makes sense if only you don't think about it. |
bemeruca:Not all black people in the US are as simple and cooning as you. God, this is racist, simple minded Tripe. |
feedthenation:Yup. He could have picked Haley. He needs women this cycle. It would help him coalesce the party. In fact, he could of picked any woman. He could have picked a black person, help with his outreach. But, he has a mugshot, and was arrested and almost shot, so of course black people should feel the kinship already. Lol. He just pays lip service to those groups because actually picking someone from them would upset his White Male Nationalistic base. |
raumdeuter:lol. Find me when Harris says anything close to this. "I go back and forth between thinking Trump might be a cynical asshole like Nixon who wouldn’t be that bad (and might even prove useful) or that he might be America’s Hitler,” The truth is everyone above a certain IQ knows exactly who Trump is. Vance did and now has to lie about it to grift. |
Laurene:This is the nuttery of the Republican party even penetrating Nigeria. Buzzwords without an actual understanding of what they mean. |
PDPGuy:Smarter though. |
happney65:Yup Part of of his allure is his connection to Peter Thiel. Trump wants his financial backing. Instead of picking a true Blue Collar type, or a minority or a women, he picks and 'elitist' Yale law school educated California venture Capitalist. Part of the financial establishment. You can't make this up. He always fools his uneducated followers. Lol. |
DaddyCoool:Since you brought your personal education into this, no insult meant, but you didn't get the formal education you needed. Look at this conversation. You have been consistently wrong about most of what you posted here. Mostly, because you don't know how to research and when you try, you don't know how to be sufficiently critical of what you read to understand the inherent biases of the writers. Those are signs of being undereducated where it matters. Look it , you want to post a video of people cheering about world leaders. What does that prove? What is the sample size of those people? Where did those people come from? To think that something like that would be dispositive of anything, is flawed reasoning. Honest, you should assume most of everything you know about the US is wrong. US was never fully oil independent. Gas prices were lower because of the pandemic, no one drove. In fact. gas prices were so low, Trump made an agreement with OPEC to cut oil supply so that the prices would rebound and increase. So US gas prices started rising under Trump. I included a couple of sources. Oil Nations, Prodded by Trump, Reach Deal to Slash Production The deal will reduce output by 9.7 million barrels a day. While significant, the cut falls far short of what is needed to bring oil production in line with demand. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/12/business/energy-environment/opec-russia-saudi-arabia-oil-coronavirus.html Special Report: Trump told Saudi: Cut oil supply or lose U.S. military support - sources https://www.reuters.com/article/economy/special-report-trump-told-saudi-cut-oil-supply-or-lose-us-military-support--idUSKBN22C1V3/ Why Trump is Pushing for Higher Oil Prices https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/13/business/dealbook/oil-price-opec-deal.html But under Biden the US is at an all time high with Oil and Energy production. In fact outside of inflation every metric is better under Biden than Trump. The US Economy generally does better under Democratic Presidents. Immigration is the only area that was doing ok and that was because the border was largely shut down due to a Covid Health Emergency law. After Covid, you couldn't use the law. The problem with the border is that asylum(look it up) is a US law. A president can't arbitrarily change that. The law has to be rewritten which the Republicans won't do. You can google most of this stuff yourself. Again, assume everything you think you know about the US is wrong. It is. |
budaatum:Just because I like history. Roosevelt was the last President that was shot while running for Election. He was shot, saved by the speech he had in his pocket. And with the bullet still in his chest delivered his speech for 90 minutes. He later lost the Election. <gift Link> https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/14/us/politics/theodore-roosevelt-assassination-attempt.html?unlocked_article_code=1.7U0.ziHi.YYHpZRb4W0ZR&smid=url-share |
DaddyCoool:Hmm.. what would you consider an uneducated person to be then? You think you learn necessary critical thinking skills solely by a high school education if that? Yes it is a Republican Democrat divide. And Trump is a Republican. But he has accelerated the divide. It's hard to have critical thinking skills and listen to Trump and not think he's a dumbass. It's why most Westerners in other countries dislike him as well. It's also the reason why if you look at the Economy or any issue, the US usually fares better under Democratic Presidents. The only thing Republicans do well is Propaganda and fake religion. But, you're spinning. Name one tangible thing Trump has done or one policy you think was effective for the US or that you would want to import into Nigeria, since I'm assuming that's where you live. |
DaddyCoool:Here goes some of the education polling I was telling you about. Trump does very well with White people without a college education. His supporters consist largely of the uneducated in the US. Makes sense as you have to be to support him. ![]()
|
I always find it remarkable that Trump does very well with White people with no college education. Yet these same people think it's the Biden supporters that are uneducated. Very odd. White, college vs. White, no col. (college) https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/15/upshot/kamala-harris-biden-poll.html

Just read Melania Trump's assassination statement. ...A monster who recognized my husband as an inhuman political machine attempted to ring out Donald’s passion - his laughter, ingenuity, love of music, and inspiration. The core facets of my husband’s life - his human side - were buried below the political machine. Donald, the generous and caring man who I have been with through the best of times and the worst of times...She was right there. Lol. But an assassination attempt shouldn't be the opportunity to try to rewrite who a person was/is. Trump or no candidate should be assassinated, but doesn't change the person he is. |
budaatum:She is grifting. There may be someone somewhere who saw the "fist pump while people are wounded and dying behind him" pic and changed their mind. Don't think it'll be anything of consequence. Went through her page, from her rational to switching to her praise of Musk, to her praise of Melania, seems contrived. |
FarmlandInc:Yup, looks to be her aim. Trump broke the rule of law in the US. Trump reminds me of a typical Nigerian politician. He corrupts everything around him. And Cannon, a typical Nigerian Judge. The Democrats and Republicans are playing two different games here. We just watched a Trump appointed Judge who has been roundly criticized by a Republican leaning Appeals court for her earlier rulings in the same case, delay his case, then ultimately dismiss it just in time for him to be able to announce it at the start of his Political Convention. Sounds like a script that was written in Nigeria right? The Dems need to get it together real quick. |
basilico:Most of this is wrong. At this point a lot this has been reported and the initial fake reports debunked. He donated $15 to ActBlue through an email he received for a Voter Registration drive. He subsequently deleted the profile. (My theory is he didn't know who the sender of the email was associated with or someone else donated in his stead). A few weeks later he registered to vote as a Republican. He only voted once in and that was the PA General election in 2022. He did not vote in the PA Primary. So he could not have acted as a cross party spoiler. He has never appeared in any Antifa protest. (that was a fake profile) His classmates say he was Conservative and hung out with Red Hats (people in the US don't wear Trump hats unless they are MAGA, it's like a scarlet letter). His profile, from wearing army fatigues to joining the gun club etc etc. is very conservative. Unless more information comes out that he had a recent change in ideology, it is clear he held Conservative views and was a Republican. Seems you've been fooled once again or are purposefully spreading misinformation.

Judge Cannon just dropped the Trump Documents case citing that the Appointments clause used to appoint Jack Smith was unconstitutional. This was the same appointments clause used to appoint Hunter Biden's Prosecutor, that got him a guilty sentence. And the Special prosecutor that investigated Biden. And she did this all before the start of his convention. What Serendipity (wink). This will be appealed.
|
kkins25:Do you really think that makes your case? Go through her feed, her life would be cancelled if Trump won. And given that she seems intelligent, I am guessing she's either grifting(increasing her profile) or trolling. |
budaatum:Before they knew who he was. Feelings against him now are really set in. Not sure how this changes the vote of people who really really dislike him. Or makes him any more a palatable person. And I may be wrong, but historically I don't think an attempted assassination has helped any candidate. And I also think Trump can't help himself. So any sympathy he may have garnered would go away the minute he reverts to his old self. The climate here is pretty hot. I hope people tamp this down somehow. If not, it looks like it may be a pretty brutal election season. |
ufotunang:Wrong. The current reporting is that he was a Conservative who registered to vote as a Republican, who hung out with Trump Supporters. With the gun shooting, military fatigue he wore and gun club membership, it looks right now he was a real Conservative. And you just don't hang out with Red hats (people who wear Trump hats) randomly. Red hats are pure MAGA. https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/14/us/trump-rally-gunman-thomas-crooks-invs/index.html
|
Some more details. He hung out with kids who wore Trump hats. A third classmate, who asked not to be named, said that Crooks was very smart, took honors classes, and was shy. She said that he had a group of friends who were fairly conservative, some of whom would wear Trump hats.Only voted once in the PA General Election as a Republican. Didn't vote in the Primaries as some suggested here. Later that year, a week after turning 18, Crooks registered to vote as a Republican, according to a listing in Pennsylvania’s voter database that matched his name, age and address. Crooks only cast a ballot once, in the 2022 midterm general election, an Allegheny County spokesperson told CNN.https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/14/us/trump-rally-gunman-thomas-crooks-invs/index.html
|
If this classmate is to believed, it seems like he was a Conservative in High School. With the army fatigues he wore in school, the t-shirt he wore the day of the shooting, shooting guns in Highschool and his gun club membership, it seems the picture may be getting clearer as to his political leanings. Time will tell. https://www.inquirer.com/news/pennsylvania/thomas-matthew-crooks-trump-shooter-id-butler-20240714.html

budaatum:Based on what? Is there a historical context you're basing this on? Millions of Americans will just elect a man who they think is wholly immorally unqualified to be President because he was almost assassinated? This is Aug. there are more than 4 months until the election. |
Bemeruca. Here is a thread designed for the England game. You don't have to pretend you live in the US and post about it in the US politics thread. FYI. The US and UK are different though the share a letter. |
kkins25:That's not America. That's Trump and his MAGA base. Democrats respect people who gets things done over the fakeness. Trump is more fake bravado than actual get it done. And his bravado is belied by the fact that when he had the opportunity to serve and really show bravery, he said he had bone spurs in order to dodge the military. But that's the difference innit. Real heros in that situation think about protecting and serving. And you don't have to be trained to think so. You just not have to be a sociopath and can about other people. Some people run into a burning building to save lifes, others put their hands up and pose for pictures of it. |
bemeruca:This is why I think you are broken mentally. You are posting about an England match in a thread on US Politics. US. Not UK. You need real friends around you. You clearly have none. |
