tintingz: and if your son brought home ashawo, whorre gal. . .will you approve that just like that? A choice of your son?
Some people say that Ashawos make the most faithful wives because they saw it all but my take here is "Okafor's law". To me, it is dangerous.

SW peeps robbing the natural resources of SS people and not contributing a kobo to their "host upkeep"
And according to information I gathered, the SS and the SE repatriate over 4 billion naira weekly to their parent churches in Lagos area through tithes and offerings mostly with Pentecostal churches. That amounts to 16 billion monthly. Talk of exploitation of the highest order. I de laugh!
Christianity EtcRe: What Type Of girls will You Approve Your Sons To Marry by ikachi1: 8:23pm On Nov 27, 2012

RomanceRe: Have You Ever Cheated On Your Partner? If So Why? by ikachi1: 8:12pm On Nov 27, 2012
Now you all know why Nigerians are hard to trust. Look at the volume of liers here claiming they never cheated especially with girls...I can bet my last nickel that 90% of all boys and girls cheat on their partners be it marriage or courtship. Girls are worse because they like to play safe by having multiple partners. Who says it is wrong to have plan "B" just in case? Every girl you associate with claim they have just broken up with their boy friend or the boy friend is either in America or Europe. It is the same story. Haba! No be Niger? The best way to notice a girl or a guy is cheating is when the phone rings and the wrong person at that point in time is on the other end...Come see drama and change of tone...I dey laugh!

KINGwax: are u okay? Cheatin is different from takin another wife since u aint doing it in secret. Cheatin is clearly cheatin! Did somethin happened to your dictionary? It entails taking pleasure or gettin too much at the detriment and without consent of the other!
Moreover, if you decide to go into marriage with your wife, both of you are one...The woman has just you and you have just her. This is 50/50 right? This is what is called "fair or no cheating" right? Now the husband goes ahead and gets 3 more wives. The woman sticks to you and you alone...is that being fair? Now you have 75/25. That is what I call "unfair or cheating" Do I say QED here?

You have to court her right? When the courtship starts, the first wife was not informed right? The man eventually goes ahead and legalizes the cheating....My friend very few people these days walks to his village and decide to take another wife. It starts from soemwhere without the knowledge of the wife at home and mostly involves bedmatics grin...Do I make sense here?

TravelRe: Can We Actually Change The Negative Perception about Nigeria? by ikachi1: 5:55pm On Nov 26, 2012
I think we have gone beyond repairs unless a drastic action in the form of a bloody revolution “ala” Ghana type comes to play here. The job of turning our reputation around lies with the leaders and the led. Many Nigerians hate hard work but they want to live a life of kings and queens. Nigerians are the greatest law breakers God has created. We always find loop holes to circumvent the law. The wealthy flaunt stolen wealth with all impunity and are revered by the society. What kind of message does this show of shame send to the young ones? Simply said, it means we can steal, rob, kidnap or dupe without a significant amount of risk. Anywhere we go, we exhibit our trade mark criminality to the detriment of the good ones who are rubbed of the "criminals" impression. Can you imagine a country like Equatorial Guinea denying Nigerians visa? It is hard to trust most Nigerians with Government or bank money. They look at it as a part of their cake no matter what happens to the organizations they are meant to nurture.
Here is a joke a friend of mine sent to me long time ago about Nigerians in heaven:
“ Angel Gabriel came to the Lord and said, I have to
talk to you. I have some Nigerians up here in Heaven who are causing some problems. They are swinging on the Pearly Gates, my horn is missing, and they've got Maggi sauce and Ogbono soup all over their robes; hamhocks. Isi-ewu, Cow-feet and Bokoto bones are all over the
streets of Gold; some folk are walking around with one wing, they have
been late taking their turn in keeping the stairway to heaven clean. There
are beer bottles all over the clouds, some aren't even wearing their halos,
saying it doesn't fit with their hairstyles."

The Lord said, "I made them special, as I did you, my angel. Heaven is home to all my children. If you really want to know about problems, let's call the Devil." The Devil answered the phone, "Hello? What the....!, hold on one minute." The Devil returned to the phone and said, "Hello Lord, what can I do for you?" The Lord replied, "Tell me what kind of problems you are having down there."
The Devil said, "Wait one minute," and put the Lord on hold.
After 5 minutes he returned to the phone, and said "Okay, I'm back. What
was the question?" The Lord said, "What kind of problems are you having
down there?" The Devil said, "Man, I don't belieee.....hold on, Lord".
This time the Devil was gone for 15 minutes. The Devil returned and said, "I'm sorry Lord, I can't talk right now. These Nigerians put the fire out and now they are trying to install air conditioning! They even bribed my guys!!"
grin

Christianity EtcRe: Do You Believe In The Holy Trinity ? by ikachi1: 10:28pm On Nov 25, 2012
Has anyone seen God? We all work by faith and faith is believing in those things not seen. We are all here killing ourselves on existence of trinity or no trinity. As a Catholic, I believe in the doctrine of trinity because I have faith that it is correct. God Himself has appeared to us in three ways. He has Himself, through His son Jesus Christ and through the Holy Spirit. We invent everything controversial and not useful in this country and we are taking the lead in re-inventing Christianity. It is not a place of worship any more but a place for business and class display.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Have You Ever Been Falsely Accused : What Was Your Reaction? by ikachi1: 2:25am On Nov 20, 2012
I have been wrongly accused several times but the most painful one was when I just came out the secondary school and went to watch television in an uncle's house. Some money got lost and I was accused of being the cuprit. We ended up at a native doctor's house only for the guy's wife to find the money behind the television. I have not gotten past that experience till today and I hate that man even till now.

funkybaby: OMG !

is there really a university in Nigeria named FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF PETROLEUM?? shocked shocked

who are the people setting up such universities and coming up with such names?

what next will they come up with ?? FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF BITUMEN or FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF COCOA ? undecided

smh !
Where is this person from? There was petroleum training institute for years in Nigeria and there was no coal, bitumen, cocoa or tin training institute. This institute has been upgraded to a university just like Yaba tech, Tai Solarin College and other institutes. You need to visit this school at Effurun near Warri in Delta state and you will be amazed. There are institutions dedicated to petroleum studies all over the world. At least I know of American Petroleum Institute, Institute Francais du Petrol, Russian Petroleum Institute etc..The list goes on. May be it should have been sited in your place to make it meaningful. Bad belle!

CrimeRe: Four Armed Robbers Caught And Burnt Alive In Mushin, Lagos (Picture) by ikachi1: 3:51pm On Nov 04, 2012
I really do not regret saying this but kudos to jungle justice for these robbers. I was on my way from PH to Lagos when I met 5 dead bodies on the road. I was made to understand that they were shot by robbers because they failed to stop when ordered to. This was a whole family wasted here. They were the father, the mother, two kids and a driver. What is the difference between shooting them at sight and lynching them at sight?

Rubbish! How many Nigerian girls and men are virgins at twenty three years? If I am convinced the lady is my wife to be, I will not wait. It is better to do it with your wife to be than to lust around.
PoliticsRe: Commissioning Of The Remodelled GAT, MMA, Lagos by ikachi1: 10:37pm On Oct 29, 2012
Did you guys notice the quality of the material used in the framing stage? To make matters worse, they were put together with a high level of Neolithic incompetence and devoid of anything decent in a construction industry. Every step they took was devoid of any known standard. A friend of mine did his safety project there and what he noticed was a shame. He talked to the construction workers there and they were neither issued safety shoes nor helmets and not even other basic personal protective equipment. Heaven knows how many guys there had their lives had made more difficult through unnecessary injuries during the construction stage. Basic electrical standard terminations were like a dream out there. It is fully clad now and looks like a master piece which it is not. Edifices like this should be given to reputable companies because they portray the image of the country to first time visitors. I bet with the amount of money used here, Nigeria could have gotten something close to what obtains elsewhere. Now the question is "What is the life span of this building"?
