You guys should know say na mistake

There are guys here who do not look at the substance in a post. They would rather go into unnecessary scrutiny of the English as if this place is an English examination class. English is hard to speak or write as, it is not our mother tongue. They prefer to go after the messenger rather than digesting the message. Even typographical errors are misconstrued to be ignorance. Na real waa!

Fashion / Re: Do You Feel Comfortable Wearing Trunks And Bikini At Beach? by ikachi1: 3:02pm On Jan 01, 2013
So Nigeria has degenerated to this level of hipocricy? Look at what religious bigots have gotten us to. Nudity was a part of our culture and life then was better. We have hidden our bodies so much that curiosity to see what is beneath is partly responsible for the high moral decadence prevalent every where. Why would I not put on a pant to the beach? There are dress codes for certain places and the bikini and swimming trunk for men is the code for the beach. Do we need to wear cassock to the beach?

Politics / Re: Fashola Is Not Qualified To Be A Presidential Candidate by ikachi1: 3:56pm On Dec 31, 2012
bilms: I have observed that the media propaganda of the Lagos State Governor is still enjoying much relevance, especially on nairaland despite clear failure of his administration.

Many things i read about Fashola on nairaland speak contrary of the reality on ground,a little survey among the masses in your area would speak for itself.

Just within the last two weeks, the Fashola for presidency thing has made it to the front page God knows how many times.

So i ask, what exactly has foshala done to deserve a presidency?

Is it the increment of The Lagos State University fee from 25,000 to 250,000 that made him worth the presidency?
Is it the crazy Lekki toll gate fee, which when protested ordered the protesters crushed?
Is it the promise of demolishing Katangwa market, denying over 30,000 people means of livelihood with a promise of not providing any alternative?
Is it the demolishing and killing of some residence of Makoko Community?
Is it the Ban of Okada without any meaningful steps toward re engagements of the citizens?

Many crazy things just to mention but few.

What exactly has he done to deserve this inhuman promotion? A government of oppression on the masses and the less privileged.

A government of under developing the people in the name of developing the state. A government with no consideration for human welfarism.

Anyway, no matter how much this propaganda machine tries,Nigerians are no fools..

THESE ARE THE REASONS HE SHOULD BE PRESIDENT. HE TAKES TOUGH DECISIONS THAT ARE BENEFICIAL TO ALL....I WILL VOTE FOR THIS MAN ANYDAY.

Politics / Re: Some Of The Pictorial Sustainable Development In Delta State... by ikachi1: 3:38pm On Dec 31, 2012
The inflow into Delta state coffers since Uduaghan took office is well over 1.5 trillion. This is about a third of Nigeria yearly budget. With that kind of money, Deltans have no business with bad roads, jobless youths roaming the streets, crime rate at its highest level since the state was created, a lot of fakes debts owed to the banks...and the list goes one. What is happening there in Delta is simply a sacrilage of the higest order. Ibori with all his stealing touched almost every part of Delta state one way or the other. Delta state has paid a terrible price for these impostors at Asaba. Deltans know better. Go to Asaba once the allocation arrives. There will be no hotel rooms left. All occupied by cronies and PDP predators from Abuja and beyond. In a week time, the whole place is cleared. They went, they saw and they conquered...End of story. When is the next allocation coming? It is the halmark of PDP. I imagined what Oshiomole can do with that money in Edo state and I said to myself, Tough luck!

Romance / Re: If Your Girlfriend Compares You With Her Ex? by ikachi1: 1:10pm On Dec 30, 2012
Learn to be open to each other my friend. If she compares you to her ex in a negative manner, she is indirectly saying that you need to do better. Being open minded should not be done in a sarcastic manner though. There are times and places to discuss such issues. On the contrary, if she portrays your action in a positive light, she is saying you should keep it up. There is a saying that the begiining of a solution to a problem is the acknowledgement that such a problem exists. Understanding how you feel is the key to making amend.

Islam for Muslims / Re: How An American Lady Converted To Islam by ikachi1: 10:27pm On Dec 28, 2012
Jihad to those terrorists means "Kill all unbelievers". That is not the meaning of Jihad. I am not a muslim but my muslim friend told me that Jihad can only be waged when Muslims are prevented from praticing their faith or percecuted for their faith. Just like their Mohammed was prevented from practicing his faith along with his converts and he they had to fight.

Good move and good intention of getting a better force and more literates employed. The down side of this is that the better educated, the more sophisticated the crime would be. Look at the kidnapping business, these guys are always step ahead. We thought that SIM registration would be good enough to identify callers but they started using the victim’s phones. They have now devised new method where the kidnappers, the ransom negotiators and the collectors are distributed in three states. Statistics of caught kidnappers shows that over 75% of them are either young university graduates or students in our tertiary institutions. Effect of GOOD Government..... undecided

Religion / Re: Is the Catholic Church the One And Only True Church? by ikachi1: 8:40am On Dec 09, 2012
I am a proud Catholic gbam! When properity preaching and fake miracles exploded in Nigeria in the 70s, a lot of catholics left the church seeking for immediate solution to their problems as usually promised by these preachers and the catholic church population plummeted. Today most catholic churches can not cope with the reverse migration and have been creating more masses in each parish to be able to cope. I have never heard a catholic priest conderm other churches. In fact the appostles creed of the catholic church makes it clear that they believe in the holy catholic and appostolic churches. 2000 years of existence and over 1.2 billion people? Surely God has His hands here.

M.U.M.U, you think you have written something sensible abi?. If Apostle Paul that wrote 2/3 of the New Testament still has a Tent Making Business and preaches, what is wrong in Bishop David Oyedepo having Businesses?. Your Catholicism creed of denial and poverty is just a concept of your denomination, which some of us versed in the things of the Spirit know that it is balderdash

My religion teaches me a bad thing. Forgiveness! Boko haram does not deserve this. They have tasted the waters and have seen that we Christains can do nothing but talks and condemnation. The only language they understand is revenge. One maxim I so much respect is " The best form of defence is to attack" It is working for the Isrealites. These lunatics are seriuos about their jihad and islamic injunction to kill christains and other non believers in Islam. Na small small, we go soon run from our houses and churches here in the south.....I de look.

Politics / Re: Sanusi: Reduction Of Political Appointees, Not For Sack Of Civil Servants by ikachi1: 3:03pm On Dec 01, 2012
I see your point Emir Sanusi! This is the power of being heard. I was really astonished at the insinuation that he called for the elimination of 50% of the civil service work force. I think he has not said anything strange or new here. Nigerians have been crying of these bloated numbers of political appointees in all levels of government. A nation where recurrent expenses far outweigh the capital one is obviously towing the wrong path. I also think that the cost of corruption in this country overshadows our needs for infrastructural development. If we cut down on corruption by 50%, the savings and effect on our economy could be unimaginable.

Politics / Nigeria Is The Worst Place To Born! by ikachi1: 3:22pm On Nov 30, 2012
Best place to be born in 2013? Switzerland.Though America may be the "land of opportunity," Switzerland will be the best place to be born in 2013 according to a quality-of-life index from the Economist Intelligence Unit.

The EIU, a sister company to The Economist magazine, determines quality of life based on surveys of the population covering 11 factors including wealth, crime, family life, trust in government and the stability of the economy.

Best U.S. states to live in 2032

Income estimates for babies born in 2013 are based on projections for the year 2030, when those children will come of age.

The top ten best places to be born in 2013:
1. Switzerland
2. Australia
3. Norway
4. Sweden
5. Denmark
6. Singapore
7. New Zealand
8. Netherlands
9. Canada
10. Hong Kong

With its small but very stable economy, Switzerland comes in first, wealthy, healthy and trusting of its public institutions. The United States, "where babies will inherit the large debts of the boomer generation, languishes back in 16th place," the EIU explains. Feeling the effects of the European monetary crisis, "the largest European economies, France (26), Germany (tied with the U.S. for 16) and Britain (27), don't do particularly well."

The quality-of-life index also reflects changes in the Middle East and North Africa, where "life expectancy continues to increase steadily and political freedoms have spread across the globe," though Nigeria comes in as the worst place for a baby to be born in 2013.

Other interesting ratings include China, coming in at 49, and Russia, coming in at 72.

Back in 1988, the United States was in first place, with France in second, and West Germany in third. Zimbabwe was last, with Iraq second to last and Iran third to last.

For a more detailed explanation of how these numbers are calculated, see "the lottery of life methodology."

All said, the takeaway from the index seems to be that in today's world, a country's stability and trust in public institutions results in the best quality of life for its citizens.
