Sanwo olu have underperform in my own personal opinion. The blue and red rail line are not still ready after he has spend more than 4 years in power. Is so sad there's no serious opposition in Lagos.

The sheep belong to the natives. Fulani herdsmen don't raise sheep. The natives should be allowed to graze their livestocks on their own land as they wish. Everyone knows that the aggressors and killers are the Fulani herdsmen who go to lands that don't belong to them and graze their cows without permission. The biased military should stop punishing the natives for crimes committed by Fulani invaders.
The Fulanis are the ones rearing the sheeps and cows

Was it the animals that were killing people?
When will they arrest the barbaric terrorists?
This is how the conflict do start. The herdsmen will graze on people farmland and the owners of the farmlands will retaliate by killing the cows and sheeps.

Buhari indeciveness made the herdsmen very bold, the FG was always giving excuse on behalf of herdsmen ruining people farmland instead of stopping them from doing so.

Any cow that graze on farmland should be confiscated.

Petrol Stations should work on converting to cooking gas and CNG stations. There is no much profit in petrol stations especially if it is private ownership. They practically now in same status as random retail businesses you see around.
The Private petrol stations needs to start leasing out their petrol stations to the NNPCL, so that they won't be run out of business.
PoliticsPlateau Unrest: Military ‘arrests Over 1000 Cows, Sheep’ Grazing On Farms by Ikaeniyan0(op): 9:39am On Jul 20, 2023
The military task force responsible for the maintenance of peace in Plateau State, code named Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) says its troops have ‘arrested 1000 cows and a large number of sheep’ grazing on farms belonging to natives at Dumunan village in Bwai District of Mangu LGA of the State.

DAILY POST recalls that Mangu LGA has been facing security challenges for over two months, which has claimed many lives and properties.

The OPSH through its Media Information Officer, Captain Oya James disclosed in a press statement and video made available to journalists in Jos, the State Capital, on Wednesday.

It reads: “In an ongoing efforts to address the security concerns in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) today arrested over 1000 cattle and a large number of sheep grazing on farmlands belonging to locals at Dumunan village in Bwai district of Mangu LGA.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that these cattle and sheep came from Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi LGAs respectively, and are currently in custody for necessary action.”

“Recall that the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division NA and Commander Operation Safe Haven, Major General AE Abubakar had promised to seriously tackle the root causes of the crisis and block anything that could lead to renewed attacks in Mangu general area”, he maintained.

PoliticsBandits Flee As Over 100 Soldiers Storm kaduna Forest by Ikaeniyan0(op): 9:29am On Jul 20, 2023

Bandits were said to have fled from their hideouts around Kagarko, Iche, Taka-Lafiya Gidan Makeri and Janjala communities in Kaduna State after over 100 troops stormed the forest in Kagarko LGA.

City & Crime had reported that many rural communities in Kagarko Chiefdom had been under siege by bandits who abducted residents and farmers a few months ago.

But the situation was said to have been contained after troops raided their hideouts and some rural communities and arrested some suspected informants.

A traditional title holder in Kagarko, Suleiman Aliyu, while speaking with our reporter through telephone on Wednesday, said the troops, who drove into Kagarko town at about 11 am on Wednesday in Hilux vans, trucks and motorcycles, moved straight to Iche, Taka-Lafiya, Gidan Makeri and Janjala villages around the forest to hunt down the bandits.

He said the troops moved in after they got intelligence information that some fleeing bandits from the far north were relocating to form a camp around some villages in the area.

Aliyu, while commending the effort of the troops, noted that since some informants were arrested a sigh of relief had come the way of residents of Kagarko Chiefdom.

A source from the palace of the Emir of Kagarko, who preferred anonymity, told our reporter that, “Yes; some troops in their large numbers entered the forest today, possibly raiding the bandits’ hideouts.”

There was no response from the spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command over the incident at the time of filing this report.

PoliticsRe: NNPCL Boss Mele Kolo Kyari OFR Is The One Fixing Fuel Price by Ikaeniyan0: 5:44am On Jul 20, 2023
DeLaRue:
It is not as simple as that.

Before Nigeria started producing rice in large scale a few years ago, we were spending over $2 billion dollars a year importing rice.

If the last administration had not banned import and encouraged local production, we would probably be spending $3 - $3.5 billion now. And the amount would have continued to increase every year.

Now, we are able to produce a lot of rice, with tens of thousands of farmers gainfully employed and hundreds of billions invested by large corporations too.

Besides the above benefits, producing our own rice means we are less dependent on other countries and it improves our food security.

Now. do you prefer that we throw all these away, send $3.5 billion to Thailand to keep their own farmers employed (while ours lose their jobs) and also strengthen their economy while destroying our currency just so we can buy a bag of rice for may be N30, 000?

And every month the whole country will be monitoring the news to check whether the ship from Thailand is on its way to Apapa, or the country goes hungry.

Do you really prefer that?

Governing a country is far more complex than some of the simple solutions that we are so sure will work.
Government won't be subsidizing the rice, importers will be the one to sourve for thier own dollar. Rice is too expensive in Nigeria, I agree with the OP, the FG should let importers import rice from our neigbouring countries. Our farmers have been giving enough time to grow, rice is extremely expensive for Nigerians presently. When the Dangote refinery start operation, it does not mean the importation of oil will be banned in Nigeria.

fineboynl:
NNPCL Boss Mele Kolo Kyari OFR is fixing Fuel price anyway as he likes. And I every other marketer follows.

The NNPCL pricing is now the template for other marketer, ha has been defending the fuel price and defending and determine dangote selling price that is yet to come on stream. From his projections severally was that dangote will not sell for lower price to what they are already selling to Nigerians and his reasons and claim is unthinkable. Comparing imported commodity to import commodity.

I think government should subsidized the tools for convertion of CNG to Nigerians so that many people can convert to CNG especially the commencial operators.

My worried is that anything that goes up never come down in this country. A bag of local rice which no body wanted went up from 4-5k to 40k. A local quality for that matter. After the ban of foreign rice of 8k within 8years.

This same thing will likely happen to locally produced fuel when dangote come on stream is there is a ban on import fuel or other items.

Rice and Garri are the appex food commodity that influence the price of other food commodity because they are the first choice. Anything that affect their pricing will affect other food.

My suggestion. In Other to bring the price of rice down. Remove the restrictions from the imported rice. And watch ss the local rice price crashed.

When the price of rice crash other food will follow as people move to eating rice.

The same thing will happen to fuel when people mice to CNG.

It was the price of kerosene that Push all Nigerians to using LPG. Today all House hold don't make use of kerosene with cooking anymore. Since gas is cheaper.
If you have a car and you do buy fuel, you wont have created this thread. The price of petrol is not the same at every filling station.

The Fuel Subsidy cabal are fighting back because Tinubu has taken over their feeding bootle used to siphon the Nation cake

Tinubu needs to sack the NNPC officials in the Pocket of the fuel Subsidy Cabal because the demand for Oil has fallen and this Scarcity is an artificial one deliberately designed to pressurize FG to return to fuel Subsidy
