whizzler: We need to encourage our own to grow. Then if the foreign companies (not particular to any pls) are to renain they should he taxed as they taxed heavily especially as regards funds dent to their countries. President Tinubu should surround himself with people who have the foresight to explore avenues to grow this economy. Government has been taxing MTN or do you want the FG to overtax them? Glo should sit up and compete against mtn. I wish Dangote is the owner of Glo, I can bet my money Glo would have floor MTN by now |

They overwork them to achieve such enormous profits. Are you working in MTN or you know who's working there? MTN knows how to run a business. Glo should sit up instead of people attacking MTN. People have been complaining about Glo network issue all this while and there have been a little improvement on the issue. |

Victory662: And the Nigerian owned telecom network is just a trash. GLO can't last a day in my phone; their service is so irritating and network speed is zero. Airtel is a better competitor but then they are not Nigerian owned too, prolly not even African. So I love my MTN! I love MTN too, I only use MTN and Airtel. Is no one's fault Glo have choosen not to improve all this while. If Dangote is in charge of Glo, Glo would be at the top right now. Adenuga Glo is not interested in competing with Airtel and MTN, he's comfortable with the market share he controls and not ready to level up. |
Politics › Re: Every Year, MTN Nigeria Limited Makes ₦2tn In Revenue From Nigeria- Reno Omokri by Ikaeniyan0: 1:18pm On Jul 19, 2023 |
Housing: Reno makes lots of sense. Tax and business policy is about national interest first and foremost.
Likewise reprocity of policy to every Nation in terms of dealings be it economy, migration, defense and coalition.
Nigeria need to put South Africa in it's place.
For those shouting Glo and Airtel are not good enough. If you know how MTN use to frustrate every new entrants into the communication business you will credit those that survived the onslaughts. MTN will deliberately not allowed other network connect to it's line. My main line is MTN which I bought at 18k in early 2003. With over 20years of using that network it's good but with negative competitive policy same goes to DSTV You guys are just jealous of MTN because they know how to run thier business. What Reno is asking for is not feasible. MTN has done their job right, so they deserve to be at the top. |

Reno has really been making alot of sense. I really hope president Tinubu is listening and reading How's Nigeria doing father Christmas to MTN? Is it MTN fault Glo is useless and has failed to compete with MTN? |

As a citizen, one of your democratic duty is to protest in hard times against bad policies. But will they ever be ready? toneroforever: Please stop misinforming people with such mathematically impossible points.
FYI, losing in all the states & the FCT implies that either Obi or Atiku won in those places.
So on what basis will Tinubu emerge as winner by the end of the day.... except of course the only way he knows, which is by hook or by crook. Go through the result of each state and see how Tinubu won. Tinubu won in the south west, north west and north central. He's tye only candidate who have more than 25% of the votes in 29 state. You people can't use propaganda to change stats on ground. |
Politics › Re: What Is Wrong With Those Supporting Tinubu At The Tribunal? by Ikaeniyan0: 8:52am On Jul 18, 2023 |
TokunboCarsOnly: Some Nigerians are some set of headless jokes sincerely. Sometimes I feel very depressed and ashamed remembering that I share same country with these set of creatures. How can anyone in his right senses be supporting Tinubu and wishing that the court gives judgement in his favour? A man who knows in all fairness that he robbed Nigerians of their mandate.
Walahi, some beings are cursed from their mothers womb. How can Tinubu who lost woefully in states he should ordinarily win as his strong hold be enjoying any form of support from anyone whether alive or dead? Tinubu lost Lagos his strongest hold. He lost Abuja the seat of power where he is even more prominent than some of his opponents in the election. Tinubu lost Nasarawa where the chairman of his party hails from. He lost Plateau where the Director General of his campaign came from. He lost Rivers and a host of other states. If he lost in all these places so where did he get his votes from?
As simple as the above question, it is difficult for some half heads to comprehend and to answer. But they keep forgetting that sensible and objective Nigerians are smarter and know who they voted for. You won an election, yet you were decleared winner in the middle of the night when all men were at sleep. By the time people woke up in the morning not a single jubilation anywhere. Even the people supporting him couldn't even celebrate it. They forget that as bad as Buhari was after his first tenure, there were pockets jubilation when he was announced winner for his second term. Again, Tinubu swearing in was another mourning mood because Nigerians with soul were not happy with INEC declaration. Yet these people wants us to forget and move on like nothing ever happened because the world revolves around them. You have not been able to show nairalanders how Tinubu lost the election. |
