Senseless audio bill. This bill was signed in with tribal sentiment and not public consideration.

4m for a 4 years programme and you're not sure of employment. Why would a young Nigerian graduate have a debt of 4m without any hope of meaningful employment.

Our uni sch fees are not as big as the USA.

It's just another wild goose policy by Tinubu

It won't work.

What they need to give students should also include feeding loans... Without that na rubbish.

And provide jobs too. Imagine finishing on loan yet you no get job to pay off the loan.

What about peoplewho drop out while on this loan. What's their fate.

USA is trying to cancel their student loans because of the debts users incur while using it.
I'm curious to see how this is going to work here in 9ja.

This your comment reminded me of NYSC in early 2000s. They will post Rivers indigenes to the North to serve in schools there and post Northerners to Rivers to serve in Oil companies. After service, the Northern corp members will be retained in oil companies and Riverians will return back to Rivers state and start seeking for jobs only to be informed that employment happened during service.

So you're suggesting that Riverians should leave Rivers state, the second richest state in Nigeria and move where?? To Ekwulobia? grin or Njikoka? grin cheesy

Ibu onye ara. grin

Ewu, second richest state na statistics. Those in the creeks follow for the richest people? Rivers second richest state, yet all it's youths depend on imposed community levies to survive.Mumu.

I doubt OP is Igbo, but he desires to marry an Igbo lady. The question is: what stops you from marrying a lady from your ethnic group? Is there a law banning such from happening? Or wouldn't you rather avoid having tainted babies with nyamiris? Some ret@rds are saying Igbo girls are promiscuous, fine. So marry your prudish ladies and leave the lascivious ones for dem Emekas who don't know how to string a complete sentence.

I think opening thread about igbos are the only way these people experience happiest in their miserable lives. They can say all the trash they want but the fact still remains that all the ethnic groups have leaders whose wives are igbo. If Igbo ladies were that bad they won't be married to those men.

Nice one Enyimba. Surprisingly all victories have been in 2000s.

I grew up on the same street with their no 1 Victor sochima. His mother and sister still live there till now. I'm happy to see him shining. He totally deserves the national team call up.

They have their people scattered all over the world but when they migrate, the move with Capital for businesses, capital made from their country compared to your loud mouthed brothers from your shiithole region that move to other states with absolutely no cash and a malicious intention of exploiting people

That's why i said we're wealth creators. While the indigenes lazy about drinking and depending on levies for survival,we're making wealth.

we don't move out because we have everything we need in our state. How many Americans, UK, Canadians or Australian citizens move out of their country? Your states are poverty ravaged shiitholes that's why your people move out to make ends meet

Mumu even all these countries have their citizens scattered all over the world.

[quote author=Ttipsy post=123741433] what dress do USA officials wear?? Can you answer that yourself? Even South Africa, Kenya etc .

We were our traditional wears to offices looking like masquerade does that make it any better than them in terms of governance?

It's not about governance. It's about our identity as a people. We shouldn't replace our identity to fit in.
I have the same opinion about people who bear foreign names or surnames. They lose their identity and authenticity.
When slaves were brought to America abd Europe, the first thing the white masters did was force them to change their names because without their names, they lose their identity and become easier to control.

How many people of Rivers descent are in the south east compared to the number of south easterners in Rivers? If people are dying of cancer in Rivers, best believe your Igbo walk about brothers who can't sit their ass's down in their states will be affected

Why would known lazy drunks like you move out of your comfort zone. You rather fight over land levies and pipeline dues than making a real living for yourselves.
Having a huge number of south easterners in your state doesn't mean your state is great, no, we igbos believe we can go to a desert and make water. We're not lazy drunkards like you.

But your south east is a shiithole, why are your people averse to living in the shiithole south east

No shiithole in the south east is worst than your creeks. You fools are getting exactly what you deserve. I hope you can afford facemask before you get cancer from soot.

suit is a global wear okay.. it gives decency in dressing, appearance and lot more..

If we accept the western practices, like democracy, system of government, way of life, education then why can't we look and emulate how their officials dress;
We have our officials here dresss like one who's going for a traditional function or masquerade show ...

Suit is an European wear adopted globally. All African dresses are decent and can be worn at all occasions.

Accepting Western practices doesn't mean we should lose our identity too. Look at USA for example, why don't dress and act like British. The only i love about Northern politicians is that they don't conform to these dress patterns no matter the occasion.

I used to think like Ttipsy. The reason is because there are laws like that in Asian countries and I can tell you now that their cultures are deeper than ours. But you will never find a Chinese or Japanese politician dressed in traditional attire.
However I now realise that the Europeans actually now are starting to appreciate our culture. I once dressed in my isi agu in Australia and many white people kept telling me how they love it.

Yes even when if you didn't get positive compliment, that shouldn't stop Africans from being true and authentic. African wears should be encouraged. People will respect you better if they know you're true and authentic.

Our entertainment industry needs to start appreciating our culture. They have the spotlight on them now. It's time to show the richness in our culture and traditions.
