Greetings my people. I and my wife are PR in Canada. We would jointly like to invite two of my siblings for our wedding anniversary celebration coming up in April this year. We would be responsible for all their expenses and they will stay in our apartment. Should we submit their visa application some weeks apart or submit just one application and wait for approval before submitting the other application? If we submit some weeks apart, will it affect the chances of them getting the visa? Thanks for your advice.

Hello Friends, I shared my situation before but here is an update and some questions.
June 30th, I was asked to submit my passport in 30 days- I had to Fedex it yesterday because they didnt have any date open for me go submit in person. My question here is what next after submitting via Fedex? Also how long between when i sent my passport to when i get it back? Will they message me to come pick it up myself?


Side Note- how many years Visa does Canada issue for visiting ? My new passport expirers in 10 years lol...I had to go get a new one because the old one i had would expire in 2024.

Yes, the child will need it since he or she will be traveling as a visitor.

Although I entered Canada this Monday and wasn’t asked to show a return ticket, I still believe those traveling with visitor visas need to have one in hand in case they need to show it.

Some airlines will not even allow you to check in if you don't have a return ticket.

You have earlier sent an e-mail / reminder to IRCC that triggered this response. You must have sent some documents to them in that e-mail.

They want you to raise a webform and resend your request/enquiries to them re-attaching those documents (i.e the flight ticket you mentioned etc.) you sent to them. They are not referring to all the documents you submitted in your application.

A family member who applied in Dec 2021 to visit us just got PPR request today. We've been the filling the webforms (Nairobi, London, Accra, Lagos) all this while, bugging the MP's office and emailing the various country email addresses but decided to do the following yesterday:
1. FIlled the new webform: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp?v2
2. Emailed ABUJA-IM-Enquiry@international.gc.ca
3. Reached out to the MP's office. MP's office replied yesterday that they reached out to IRCC to either treat the application soonest or get back to us if they need more information
