Sorry to hear about this. Did you apply using the new portal? How many weeks/months were you in Canada before you applied? I will share my experience with you and hope it helps you. I had a similar experience. My spouse and infant daughter were refused the same day biometrics was done, we applied using GCKEY. As if IRCC refused the application upon submission and just waiting for the biometrics to be done before they post the rejection email. The reason for refusal was the same with yours except that ours dint include travel history. Some persons said I got quick refusal because I applied within 5 weeks of landing in Canada, that I should have allowed more time. I contacted the MP to find out more details from IRCC why my application was refused. One week after, I got a detailed response from them which I addressed in the next application. We reapplied since 9 November 2021. We reapplied using an RCIC consultant my supervisor recommended for me. I got a support letter from my supervisor as well. The consultant could not use the new portal because IRCC gives RCIC a different portal for their application. We are still waiting for a decision. My advise is that you get a detailed feedback why it was refused and reaply. Jxool: |

Greetings everyone. Please I need your advice. I am an international student in Canada. On the 9th of November 2021, I used the service of a registered Canadian Immigration Consultant to submit a visitor visa for my spouse and 1 year old daughter for the purpose of family reunification. The application has passed the normal processing time and no feedback from IRCC. I Have received 2 updates about the application via MP. In the first update on 12 Dec 2021, they said IRCC is reviewing for eligibility. In the second update this week Monday, they said update received from IRCC is not different from what they received in Dec 2021(which suggest no progress since then). This week, my consultant sent a webform to inform IRCC that the application has passed the normal processing time but no response yet. The application was submitted via a designated portal for registered Canadian Immigration consultants. Please is it advisable for me to submit another application using the new portal such that I have two active applications? I will really appreciate your advice. Thanks a lot. 1 Like |

From my observation, most of the visa application that was approved this week is for mothers of Temporal or Permanent residents. That of spouses was mostly refused. |

Good morning my people. I am in Canada studying and recently submitted a Spousal Open Work Permit for my wife and Visitor Visa for our infant daughter. I submitted it in one application with my wife as the principal applicant. However, IRCC gave my wife (the principal applicant) an application number without UCI but gave my daughter both UCI and application number. Please is this normal? |

I got my confirmation of enrollment letter through the self-service option after logging in my student account. I got the letter of authorization by emailing the international students service unit of my university. They asked me to send them some documents (like passport data page, visa introduction letter, student number etc) after which my authorization letter was issued. The letter just says that I should be allowed to enter Canada because the reason is non-discretionary. patty10: |

Dear all, please I need your advice on how I can buy Canadian dollars at a good rate. My degree is for a minimum of 3 years so the options which require me to present a return flight ticket could be challenging for me. Thanks in anticipation of your advice. |

Thanks. I did not submit anything and did not say anything about how my family would be sustained when I leave. I just decided to keep the application as simple as possible. My SOP was just one page. Oyesquare10: 2 Likes |

I attached my masters transcript and highlighted where it was written that English is the means of communication and instruction. I tried to convince them in the letter that I am proficient in English and all my education prom primary to masters has been in English. However, I attached proof of registration for IELTS to be written on 18 August. I registered for the IELTS not for study visa but because I intend to apply for PR through EE shortly after I land Canada (the Goal is to become a Citizen before completing PhD). On 4 July, I sent my Covid Vaccination completion Certificate (online copy with QR code) through webform.
