steel is not "far superior" than concrete. All building materials have both advantages and disadvantages.
One of the reasons has to do with the client. Sometimes before the client even request for a design, he has already purchase masonry blocks and other materials.
But then again Nigerians don't like to challenge themselves. Concrete is the default "comfort zone".

There's alot to this government honestly. The north is actually being ruled by two governments, the federal government and a network of terrorist organizations.

Money was not involved in the negotiations, they probably called a truce, settled for coexistence or whatever. The sad thing is that the innocent are the ones suffering.

The northern youth should come out and fight for thier future, it's so unfortunate that they are blinded by religion and political frivolities that they don't know who the real enemy is.

A break for what exactly? Has he done anything to deserve a break? Dest has more attacking prowess than somebody that is supposed to be a winger.

Trincao is just running up and down doing juvenile and unproductive dribbles, then he will finally make a bad decision.

He doesn't deserve a break.
i thought am the only one that don’t like that guy. Fati and Dembele should come back jor

Is Messi doing this intentionally?? Its very clear that he is the captain today and he is really into the game. I think it's somehow hypocritical to say that Puig is better than Pedri. We are just lucky to have a lad like him. And he is just 17, but u will think he is 24

Can this man listen to himself. So Buhari is pleased with the job of the service chiefs. God will judge them. The wrath of God will visit them. The bleeding blood of those farmers will be on thier head. The only thing they think about is the opposition party and 2023 elections.

Buhari can easily travel to Ebonyi state to celebrate and congratulate umahi for joining APC. To him, he has provided the necessary funds for military in borno so they can go Bleep themselves. I remember the 2015 election. How children from this state came out to vote him

The misinformation and miseducation in Nigeria is just too much. With the way you are saying all you just said, one would think you have direct experience or contact with the alleged "money ritual" in real life.

I can bet 100% and i 100% guarantee that everything you know about "money ritual" is based on "hear say" and "Nollywood movies"

If you think I'm lying in my assertion, there are Escrows we can use to deposit the money for the bet. After that, we will meet at a place to be agreed by us so that you can show everyone the truthfulness or otherwise of your assertions that "money ritual" is real.

Romance / Re: Anything Wrong In Me (a Female) Deciding Not To Have A Partner? by Ikennablue(m): 7:34pm On Nov 10, 2020
Anonnn:
(LONG POST)

Growing up, I have never seen myself to be someone that would one day get married and live with a partner (no, I don't have any unpleasant past experience). I have only had 2 serious relationships and let me just say I did that because I wanted to see if I could overcome my fears by having a taste/feel of what it's like to have a partner.

I'm currently in the second relationship which is gradually moving to marriage and I must say the guy is a very great person. The problem is, even though I have tried to suppress all the feelings that it is not what I want, people I share it with keep telling me that it is not normal for me to say I do not want to have a partner. I have come to realize that the reason why they are saying this is because society has made it look like getting married is a huge goal ( I don't know the word to even use here)!

I'm left to wonder, why has society made it look like it is "compulsory" to have a partner?

Why has it been normalized in our society? Like, anyone who is probably "of age", or done with school, or has a stable source of income is expected to have a partner, or planning to get settled down with one (well except you are going the religious/clergy way). Sometimes, people do not even want you to finish school or have a stable income before they come with the question of when you want to get a marriage partner and settle down.

Why is it sometimes termed abnormal when someone thinks or says they do not want to have a partner?
Why is there also some stereotypes hanging over people who decide not to get married (I can't go into all that to not make this post longer than it already is)?

So, I'm really concerned, can't one just decide to live a single life without getting married or going the religious way? Of course, if one is scared of dying alone, there is always an option to adopt a family or an orphaned child you can train and grow old with.

Can't one just choose to stay dedicated alone; focus on themselves, live a good life, build a great career, render help when necessary and just not bother about having a partner?

Is there really any consequence for not deciding to settle with a partner or go the religious way?

Why has society made it look like you need a partner to be "complete"? Or to even be respected in some settings no matter your class/status?

Why are people who decide they do not want to have a partner always looked at like they are not normal?

I am yet to see where it is stated that it is actually compulsory that one must have a partner or be in the religious line as the case may be (please, let me know if I'm wrong).

__

Yeah, I know I have asked many questions already, but they have all been pressing on my chest for long and I really needed to get them off to make a longterm decision.

I also apologize if some people see this as rude, I don't mean it to be that way.
And, if you do not have an open-minded comment/response, please, don't bother.
Thanks.
you are probably in your twenties and presumably, you are well Educated. You have you have to be careful in decisions like this. Am not a very religious person but I'll advice you to be careful how you write religion off in matters like this.

As much as your happiness matters, you can't change what the society accept as normal and abnormal. You can't change how the society see you. Marriage is not a bed of roses that you go into to be happy. It is the original plan of God for everyone. The truth is, there are so many failed marriage these days that the idea of marriage doesn't sound serious anymore. Just go for what will make you happy, especially when or as you get older

Hi friends, I need your suggestions and advice.
So this is my story.

I'm Olayemi(not real name) and I'm in my mid-twenties. While growing up, I wasn't the type that had so many friends, though I wish I had but due to my upbringing and personality, I couldnt.

While in the Uni, I made an handful of friends but after we were done, we couldn't keep up with the friendship as before due to many reasons.. choice(some kept their distance) and physical distance. Just a Hi-Hello conversations once in a while.

Straight to the point. Now I work from home and I don't have the opportunity to go out and interact with people because most time, I work till evening. Sometimes, the only time I step out of my house is on Sundays, when I go to Church.
On Saturdays, it's either I go visiting a friend, mall, market or I stay back at home doing chores and relaxing.

I'm bored with this lifestyle, sometimes, I crave for human interaction. You know that feeling when you've been on the pc for hours and you just need to clear your head.
I strongly believe in interacting with people and building great relationships.

I know gym is an option but...for now, I can't keep up with gym.

Online… tried initiating conversations with new people but not that encouraging…
Some are just disinterested… I don't blame them, we all have our choices and preferences.
I have a lot to talk about but let me stop here.
If you are or once in my shoes, how did/do you cope?
How do you meet people to interact with?

Thanks for your contributions.
i can relate to this because am practically walking into your shoes. Mine is worse. I don't even come out most Sundays. Most of my friends have labeled me a snub. But am not. Am a very friendly and accommodating person. Am even a talkative.

I think the best solution is to come out. For me (a guy) am thinking of joining a football team. From there I'll make new friends. I'll create time and probably party with them. Work is important, but work shouldn't be everything. A balanced life is better

Thanks guy. But Nigeria has shown us that we have to stick to logical reasoning. Gone are the days of being whatever u wanna be. Some jobs are practically useless in the job market, hence studying such course will only lead to regrets.
And pls does Architectures only deals with drawing building plans? Cos i keep on wondering of how many houses are being built in Nigeria per day in relation to the number of architects we have.
Thanks and its a Lady not Man
my dear. Architecture is one of the greatest thing that has happened to me. Forget all those market things. Be careful in what you believe in and what you tell yourself. Am still a student. But i hardly sleep these days because of the works on my table. Just believe in what you do

its not for fun. You can see it in his face that he is worried. That guy need a time off to put himself together. He seems to be under a lot of pressure and you can do well in this kind of pressure. This is the same thing that happened to Messi in the world cup final

I saw that goal coming. Roberto is very confused. It's foolishness to have a right-back like Dest and still play Roberto in a match like this.

Griezman's problem is spiritual.
Somehow, i pity him
