The newly registered political party, Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance held its first National Executive Council(NEC) meeting in abuja today and resolved to field a credible candidate in the forthcoming Anambra governorship election.

The National Chairman during a press briefing at the end of the NEC meeting which was attended by 31 state chairmen of the party and National Working Committee members said the party will be involved in all subsequent elections as the party is reaching out to Nigerians to trust them as the best alternative party for Nigeria after trying both PDP and APC.

The NEC also resolve on the need to start harmonization of state chapters structures so as to get every stakeholders in all states of the federation to get involved in the party activities and take ownership.

The chairman also added his voice to the restructure debate by saying that Restructuring is part of the manifestos of APDA but ours is “Restructuring for development and not for division of Nigeria where various state resources will be used to the advantage of such states in terms of its development “

This man is nuturing his presidential ambition by building bridges across the ethnic divide. This is what the igbo's ought to do if they want to smell the presidency. They should learn from hausa and Yoruba's on how to play politics. Presidency is not given on a platter, you work for it by shunning politics of hate and tribalism. The sense of entitlement of the igbo's won't get them anywhere in the political scene. They feel they should be compensated with presidency because of the after effects of the civil war but they're wrong if they cant get off their butts and work towards aso rock. Their patriotism is questionable also because how do we entrust presidency on a people that scream biafra or death today and tomorrow they are back begging for unity? Pictured is Serah John (Awa) who's among the women abducted by Boko Haram. Fourteen women were kidnapped in a raid by the militant group on a military/police convoy in Borno State some weeks ago. The incident took place a few kilometres outside Maiduguri, on Damboa Road.

It could be recalled that a large convoy travelling from Maiduguri to Damboa under a military escort was ambushed on June 20 by Boko Haram gunmen some 31 kilometres from Maiduguri.

Some of the travellers, including a police officer and a soldier were killed in the ambush.

The anambra man accepts other igbos more than the enugu, abakaliki, abia and imo people will ever do. A paranoia and fear about the anambra man dominating exists. Abia state sacked anambra indigenes from their civil service, my aunts were affected as teachers, no one is talking about it. Mbaise refuses to accept an anambra bishop, they claim they want a 'homegrown' bishop, no one is talking about it. Enugu and ebonyi state have a discriminatory employment system, they employ there indigenes first no matter how more qualified you are. Even within their state, they are not united, too many camps- nsukka, awgu, udi, achi- all having separate meetings and agendas in government establishments to perpetuate their people.
