From everything I have read on this thread, especially the statements credited to Paul Unongo & Yakassai, it is obvious that the 'juju the Yoruba people cooked for the Igbo, was done before the war and it is still going strong.  A lot of people from minority groups like mine, have often wondered what could have been responsible for the obsession the SE chaps, have for those in the SW. Now we know the reason. 
I mean, if not for this 'juju how can a man (Awo) say that his own people will pull out of the federation, if your own people in the SE are allowed to secede, and on the basis of that, you (Ojukwu) decided to go to war?  Did he promise you ammunition, fighter jets, funding, soldiers, bombs, resources and other equipment to fight the war? Na simple question, I dey ask, o!
How can that same man (Awo) still go back to talk to you (Ojukwu) to jettison the idea of secession, only for you to ignore his latter advice, and still go to war, believing that his people will follow you to pull out of Nigeria?

Exactly! Thank you for your apt observation. I create threads directed mainly at minorities and Urhobos on Nairaland. But these IPOB youths somehow manage to get in and derail it. Yet they say I am the issue. How many times have I derailed an Igbo thread on Nairaland?

The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ahmed Makarfi, has said the method of agitation being employed by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, is worse than that of the Coalition of Arewa Youth Groups.
Makarfi said this on Friday during a live television programme on Channels Television titled, ‘Sunrise Daily’.
The northern youths had in Kaduna three weeks ago issued an ultimatum to all the Igbo people living in the North to vacate the region before October 1, 2017 because of the renewed Biafran agitation.
Makarfi, who is a former Governor of Kaduna State, said although he was not in support of the ultimatum, Kanu’s approach was more infuriating than that of the northern youths.
When asked why the Arewa youths had not received enough condemnation, Makarfi said, “What he (Kanu) is doing is different from what the youth in the North have done. The youth in the North, may be 10 or 15, did a press conference.
“Nnamdi Kanu is holding people to ransom, bringing economic activities to a standstill, holding what will look like a mini rally. None of that is happening in any part of this country. All the leaders in the South-East have said yes we have concerns but the way you are going about it is wrong.
“The northern boys are just press (sic) and they dispersed, period. I am not in support of what they did but I am talking of the manner of their action. Whereas Nnamdi Kanu and his people are consistently holding people to economic hostage and at a particular time, they held the South-East down for a day.
“You don’t find such not just in the North but any other part of the country. You cannot behave that way.”
Makarfi praised the South-East leaders for coming out to state categorically that Kanu lacks the authority to speak for the Igbo. He said agitations are legal but must be done with decorum, devoid of hate speeches.
The PDP chieftain added, “We cannot wish away any agitation, but as part of the South-East, let them come together and approach the government for the implementation of the recommendations of the 2014 National Conference report and demand an amendment of the part that is of concern to the South-East but that amendment must also be generally accepted by Nigerians.”
The PDP chieftain supported calls for restructuring but argued that the terms must be clearly spelt out because different people had diverse opinions of what restructuring ought to be.

The Financial Secretary of the Abuja Branch of the NBA, Mr. Ebuka Nwaeze Esq. has dragged the Department of State services (DSS), the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Attorney General of the Federation [AGF] to court over the quit notice issued to Igbos by Arewa Youths Coalition. Mr. Nwaeze is seeking the enforcement of his fundamental rights of life, freedom of movement, freedom from discrimination and ownership of property. The applicant brought the matter by way of an originating motion in the Federal High Court under the Fundamental Rights and Enforcement Procedure Rules (FREP rules) FHC/ABJ/CS/560/2017. He sought for certain reliefs in the “statement” annexed to the motion. Among the reliefs sought are: - a declaration that the statement made by members of the coalition of the Northern Youths at Arewa House, Kaduna, on the 6th day of June, 2017 is unconstitutional and a grave threat to the rights of the applicant as stated above, and as guaranteed and protected by the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the African Charter of Human and People’s Right (Ratification and Enforcement) Act; - a declaration that the respondents being the DSS, IGP and Attorney General of the federation have an obligation under the said Laws and all other Laws of the federation enabling them in that behalf, to create and maintain for the applicant and all those against whom the “Kaduna Declaration” was directed, a general satisfactory environment favourable for their development in all parts of Nigeria; - an order mandating the DSS and the IGP to arrest, restrain and investigate the makers, signatories and sponsors of the speech termed “Kaduna Declaration” which has threatened the rights of the applicant, and those of the southern origin of the country, particularly the Igbo extractions and, - an order mandating the Attorney General of the Federation to investigate and prosecute those involved. On the grounds upon which the reliefs are sought, the applicant emphasized the fact that against the call of the Kaduna State Governor and other political leaders to arrest the said violators, the 1st and 2nd respondents, being the DSS and the IGP neglected and/or refused to carry out the lawful duty in that regard. The processes which were supported by a 26 paragraph affidavit sworn to at the Registry of the Federal High Court, Abuja on the 22nd day of June, 2017, included the text of the said declaration that was circulated in a video. Marked also as exhibits are newspaper publications that the applicant intends to rely on to prove his case. The application was also supported with a written address canvassing issues bordering on the likely contravention of the said rights. Recall that a declaration was made at Kaduna by some northern youths, giving quit notice to the Igbos living in Northern Nigeria to leave the Northern part of Nigeria within three months of the giving of the notice. The said declaration draw the attention of many from far and near, giving warning to the signatories, makers, and sponsors of the declaration and advising same on the need why Nigeria should remain an indivisible unit. There were also reactions from the international community asking the perpetrators to desist from all manner of hate speech that could lead to division in the country along tribal lines. The Kaduna state governor also charged the security officers to arrest the said youths responsible for the making of the declaration. However, despite these calls, not one of the makers, signatories and sponsors of the declaration are so far arrested. 1 Akwa Ibom: They have the largest oil wells in Nigeria and they are assumed to export about 530000 barrels of crude oil per day. This will be amount to about 2.5billion naira per day which will generate up to 70billion naira per month.
2 Delta : the second largest exporter of oil. They export about 400000 barrels of oil per day which will result to 65 billion Naira per month.
3 Rivers: the third largest exporter of oil. About 360000 per day which will generate about 60billion per month.
4 Bayelsa my land: fourth largest exporter of oil. About 340000 per day. This will amount to about 59billion per day and due to it smaller population and if her politician are generous and also have the fear of God, almost every citizen will live above average just like Singapore.
5 Lagos: logos has not crude oil, it is number five , because of her multiple industries which will enable them generate billions of revenue through taxation. It is assumed that logos generates about 25billion Naira per month.

Obiano will still be Governor until March 2018 if the election is boycotted. till then he has all the opportunity to extract committment from the FG on a Biafran referendum date if he wants to continue as governor.
