raumdeuter: Ferguson met Pep twice and got molested both times. That was when Ferguson admitted that he for the worst beating of his career ever in the hand of a rookie Pep.
Pep was the reason Ferguson went into retirement. Pep had arguably the best midfielders in the world plus Messi. Those trio in the midfield went on to win the World Cup, Euro 2012 and one more CL trophies(all without Pep). Pep on the other hand hasn’t won anything in the continent for 11 years while managing the highest spending clubs in the world in that period. Pep(since then) has lost to Ultra European giants like Spurs, Lille and Monaco. It’s starting to look like Barcelona players made Pep and not the other way round. Pep has spent £1 billion at Man City and yet he has only made the CL final once. How good is Pep outside Barcelona? To think Klopp, Tuchel and your PE teacher(Hansi Flick) have all won it since then and Pep cannot simply tells even a puppy that Pep is a nobody in Europe. |

raumdeuter: 1. The season you bought Nani and Anderson how many teams spent more than you in the league That’s your answer……Madrid were the biggest spenders in Europe and Liverpool were the biggest spenders in the PL. Yet, Alex Ferguson won the CL in Europe unbeaten while winning the Premier League too. It’s not the nonsense half measure jobs Klopp and Pep are doing now that none of them can cope with winning the two biggest trophies(UCL + PL) in the same season.

Man Utd weren’t the biggest spenders in Europe that season, Man City were in those two seasons and Fergie still beat them to the PL title. Your elephant lies have been exposed. At no point in SAF’s reign in the PL era was he the biggest spender in Europe. This is why many see him as the greatest football manager in Europe.

Abi if Haaland gets injured shey Man city will start playing 10 vs 11? It’s another CL season where Pep has the best odds of winning the CL competition. It’s been like this for the past 5-6 seasons. When he doesn’t win next year, I am sure you would cook up another excuse why he couldn’t win it. It’s either Mahrez can’t finish or Stones isn’t good enough.

Mrviktor: Make we sha no bash players like that.
We have had only one month of martinez..
In as much as he has been brilliant.. He will still get bad games.. Like the Brentford match.. They tore him into bits.. He was hooked off at halftime...
Shaw and Maguire balled for England on their euro run. Nd during qualifiers.. Same as sterling..
Once d team is performing perfectly everybody will shine.
It's wrong to blame Fred.. Nd mactominay nd shaw.. Or degea 2 years back.. Or lindelof under jose.. Or even Aaron...
When it's good it's good. I don’t care about what happens in England? Shaw has been at United for 9 years. Baring 3 months of good form when Telles was signed, Shaw has been ultra useless at United. If he wasn’t British, would he have gotten that many opportunities to rediscover himself? In England, Southgate plays 3 CBs at the back. Ten Hag is never going to play like that so what purpose do perennial failures like Maguire or Shaw serve Man Utd. United can’t keep rewarding failure year after year and demand/expect progress. The moment Shaw and Maguire got benched as advised here, the defence improved by 10,000%. |

MRTA7: The passport is irrelevant.it didn't help Henderson or Lingard get in the team. British passport is the only reason Henderson is relevant and the reason he’s in a conversation at all. United had Romero that was Argentina’s #1 at some point and was treated like shït by Ole till he sauntered off from Man UTD. Lingard wouldn’t have stayed that long at United if he wasn’t also British. We saw what happened to Fellaini who was miles better and how he was booted off by Ole. I can give you many other examples. |

Expert17: I can't waste my time writing an epistle to convince someone who thinks Maguire is a good CB
we would have won Liverpool if Maguire had played
Every week with different jokes, last week was Ter stegen and Neuer VS Ederson. Ole never beat Arsenal and Liverpool in a league game throughout his time at the club. That should tell you all you need to know. Cyberrex: I think he's not that bad, pple would argue that he's not at the level of player that should be starting for Manchester United, maybe?
but we all know most of our players were badly coached under olè, that is another angle
look at Mctominay, I was literally begging God to touch ten hag's mind not to use the boy, but somehow he's found a way round the dude(at least for now), he analysed him, brought out his pros and cons and he's prolly making a proper baller out of him, Mctominay he's the only one in our midfield that is press resistant, he'll get out of a 2/3 man press 7/10 situation, he's also an excellent ball winning, he just lose focus on the pitch, hes not an excellent passer, but he can get the ball out of a tight space while he delivers the ball bruno/eriksen or our FBs and I think ten hag has prolly assigned someone to always remind him of his zone, when he moves forward Eriksen drops to cover and add extra man to defence while also orchestrating play from deep
I know he'll start on Thursday and he'll like to make an impression, I just hope he doesn't doom himself, because that's "bye bye 1st 11" Maguire is a very terrible player. A horrible player and a useless captain. Maguire has never won player of the month at the club. Martinez did that under one month of joining the club. Bailly also won player of the month at the club under one month of joining the club. This was why the fans were outraged that it was Bailly leaving instead of Maguire. Bailly was outstanding in the preseason but he doesn’t have a British passport so he had to leave for useless players to thrive at the club. |

Cyberrex: on maguire issue, let's be critical, is it the inability of him to read the game? or the fact that he's overdoing things? or he's just a person that should be led and not leading?
whenever I look at his structure, his built, he's supposed to be one of the most feard defender in PL, but opponent attackers always like to press him, because he's error prone
but I think he will be essential for Erik's style No pace, no agility, no athleticism. These lack of defensive attributes makes him a liability. PL is very tough and with very smart attackers. Even an all rounder looking Saliba got ruined by Rashford twice. If Maguire didn’t have a British passport, he would be playing in League 1. |

Thank God his no longer here And whenever I curse Ole here, his fans are quick to defend him to let it go. The damage he’s caused still has a ripple effect. melodyogonna: I no sabi that one, you'd have to ask Ralf as I don't think Maguire was any better than any defender last season. Maguire is the worst defender at Man Utd. When it was confirmed that Bailly was going to Marseille on loan, there was outrage on social media with people asking why him and not Maguire? Luke Shaw has had only 3 months of a decent season in 9 years and he’s still at the club. He’s given chances after chances after chances to redeem himself but Bailly is the one sidelined because he neither has a British passport or friends in the media to hold a brief for him.

You fight for your place. I'd take Maguire over Bailly any day. I'd take Varane or Martinez over both. He was speaking about last season. Obviously he’s no longer here. There was no Martinez last season and Varane was always injured too. What logical explanation does anyone have to start Maguire or Lindelof ahead of Bailly? |

As I've consistently said here. He plays at a world class level one week, then consistently make school boy errors the next, then get injured the following week. If Bailly is reckless and impulsive, what does that say about Maguire, Jones and the Swedish Lesbian?

He was only injured for 13 days last season. 13 days and I remember the decade useless Jones starting ahead of Bailly at Anfield in a 3 man defence, only to lose 4-0. Even if a player is injury prone, play him till he gets injured again cos his value is on the pitch, not on the bench. Bailly is better than Jones, Lindelof and Maguire so why didn’t he get any chance to play last season? |

I dont think he has a future at the club though and I think he knows that. He was only injured for 13 days throughout last season and he made only 4 PL starts throughout the season. If this isn’t xenophobia, I don’t know what else to call it. He was the best CB at the club but when you don’t have anyone at the high table defending your name, nobody would care. The ever useless Maguire hasn’t played in 3 games and every British pundit is asking why and some are even saying Maguire has been maltreated. That’s the power of the British passport. |

Lana1: The vision from Bruno to not pass it in between White and Saliba where he will easily get marked out, but to put it behind Saliba where Rashford can easily run in 1-on-1 needs to be talked about more.
This na the normal straight pass that someone's grandfather can make. Is that why ur darling manager chose to sign Bruno instead of ur grandfather?
https://images2.imgbox.com/92/f0/g4oRb3S0_o.gif There are many many midfielders in the PL that would screw up that pass. McFred would have either delayed the pass or overhit it. The brilliance of this pass isn’t only the vision, it’s the execution. The trivela technique was the reason why the ball went around Saliba. You have to also consider the weight of the pass. If applied wrongly, it would be underhit and the 2 Arsenal defenders would have cut the pass out. If overhit, if would have gone straight to Ramsdale. When Fred got the ball on the left channel and Ronaldo was free in the centre. Fred screwed up the pass and left Ronaldo frustrated. If Fred could apply the trivela technique with his right foot, he would have put Ronaldo through on goal. Bruno deserved MOTM for his application alone. |

The one midfielder without a replacement in the team is Eriksen. Crazy he came on free.
Rising tide lifts all boats. Even Rashy don rediscover him form. Waiting for Sancho to cook proper.
-Lord The offensive side of Eriksen is well known to every football fan, his defensive side might yet cost the team. He needs to be more aware and stronger on the ball. That incident with Odegaard. He shouldn’t be getting bullied like that. Another referee would stick to his original decision and that could have changed the tide of the game. |

These are the names. I think Malacia also did well. It’s not easy marking Saka. Saka can go inside and outside and I think they both got the better of each other.
