Expert17:The through pass that found Eriksen free for the 3rd goal was also executed by Bruno. Ronaldo was just fouled and that area of the pitch was crowded. Bruno saw Eriksen and made that pass. Bruno is king. He just needs to calm down sometimes. |
Expert17:VDB is a very good player though. I think he will fit perfectly into Barcelona or Man City. |
Expert17:VDB is a low risk footballer. He would rather keep possession than risk a trivela. |
Rashford would deservedly get MOTM(1 assist, 2 goals) but McSauce battered Arsenal in that midfield. This has to be his best game in a red shirt. Arsenal later crowded him out and took control of the midfield until Fred and Casemiro provided some balance. This was a very exciting game. The moment Arsenal met a decent side, they wilted as I predicted. Arsenal don’t do well in Manchester. You can put a team of Elangas out there today and Arsenal will find a way to beat themselves. |
Expert17:If KDB made that pass, they would be saying he’s a ballon d’Or candidate. That Trivela pass from Bruno to Rashford was filthy. His ceiling is as high as KDB’s, his lower bottom level is why people don’t rate him. |
kokaneprodigy:I told you on the day Maguire might start and he didn’t. And when he came on, the blood pressure of every United fan went 30 points up. |
kokaneprodigy:No Maguire, he got it right and you were beaten hands down. |
Expert17:Maguire and Shaw don’t have any talents that can be organized. How do you organize the lack of recovering pace? ![]() |
Expert17:He’s a leader until that jobless Norwegian bandit demoted him for questioning the attitude of the team. Meanwhile, has any GK dropped this level of disaster class since OPTA started?
|
Expert17:He’s a leader, he would take responsibility for everything even when he’s not at fault. |
larride:Henderson has now conceded the most league goals in Europe. |
Cyberrex:If Eriksen should have done better, why is the blame on DDG? A press resistant midfielder couldn’t beat a press and the goalie is blamed for passing the ball to him. I will never understand such argument. You people need to rest already. The first goal was DDG’s fault. I will never blame him for the 2nd. Ederson makes passes into the hot zone every time and his team mates don’t lose the ball. |
eph12:Eriksen is the most comfortable player in possession out of all the options DDG had and it was Eriksen that demanded for the ball the most by sprinting towards DDG. If DDG gave that ball to Maguire and he got caught in possession, you people would still blame DDG that why didn’t he give it to Eriksen. I hate this revisionism fans and some analysts do whenever a goal is conceded. DDG had few seconds to decide whom to play the ball to. Shaw and Maguire have let him down in the past and Eriksen looked ready to receive the ball. Why was passing to Eriksen a poor decision in that scenario? Eriksen should have handled himself better. It was his fault. If he wasn’t ready to receive the ball, he shouldn’t have showed himself for it. |
Expert17:All we are saying is that Alisson is better than him in sweeping. So the only thing Ederson has over Alisson is distribution. One attribute! Ederson go chop bench tire at the World Cup. |
Android22:Eriksen showed for the ball. He wanted the ball and DDG gave it to him. Any journalist can say it’s a wrong choice now because Eriksen got caught in possession. Any elite midfielder would turn the marker like amala there. Xavi did this for almost 10 years when markers pressed him. He would just turn into a safe zone and take the ball with ease. |
Android22:DDG completed a pass, Eriksen didn’t. |
Expert17:What has this gotta do with sweeping? ![]() |
The people saying Ederson is 9.9/10 in sweeping are just being economical with the truth. He’s good but he’s not that good. The data is out. ![]()
|
Android22:Eriksen was branded press resistant. Xavi, Iniesta, Pogba get this amount of press on the pitch all the time and they beat it. Why is Eriksen making that full speed towards De Gea if he’s not ready to receive the ball? Look at the strides he was making towards DDG for a goal kick? |
Android22:Eriksen was supposed to get to the ball before the defender. He was 2 yards ahead in that image. If he was fast enough and he made a one touch pass to Maguire, the goal doesn’t happen. |
Expert17:The damage had already been done here in your image. Check my image before the ball left De Gea’s boots. Eriksen ran towards De Gea to receive the pass. He’s touted as one of the best ball players in the league and he’s better on possession than Maguire or Shaw. De Gea trusted him but Eriksen betrayed that trust. |
Android22:If that pass had gone to Pogba in the same circumstance, he would have maneuvered his way out of the press through sheer strength and his love for ground duels. Eriksen was a wet pipe. Rodri, Fabinho, Kante, Casemiro and even Partey would have received that ball, beat the press and move the ball along like the incident never happened. No player should be comfortable on the pitch thinking he won’t be pressed when receiving the ball. It was Eriksen that actually demanded for the ball by darting towards De Gea to receive the ball. How is that De Gea’s fault? You can see Eriksen running towards the ball in this image even before the ball left De Gea’s boots. He demanded for the ball and then lost the ball. De Gea could have ignored and passed to Maguire but he doesn’t trust neither Maguire or Shaw.
|
Expert17:It wasn’t a red zone, Eriksen wasn’t strong enough. OPTA had it as Eriksen’s error. DDG completed a pass. |
Expert17:I have told you many times, that wasn’t a De Gea mistake. It was Eriksen’s mistake. De Gea passed to Eriksen, Eriksen got the ball and his pass to another defender was intercepted. |
neztar:Alisson is the better keeper overall. He has at least 8/10 in every goalkeeping attribute. Ederson has 9/10 with his feet but he’s average in every other goalkeeping attribute but Pep doesn’t mind. Ederson’s good footballing ability suits Pep just fine cos he’s going to hug possession 80% of the time anyway. Opponents will have to make every chance count to get the better of Pep. They will have to produce 2 or 3 goals with their 20% possession which is very very rare and Pep is fine with that low probability than getting an actual goalkeeper. |
Expert17:We can both agree on top 15. ![]() Android22:You said his mistakes with his legs are zero but there are plenty of mistakes with his legs on YouTube. It’s just that those mistakes weren’t punished but they were mistakes regardless. |
Android22:That’s not what I read. I saw someone wrote he has never made a mistake with his legs. When the correct statement should have been the mistakes he makes with his feet have never been punished. |
Expert17:That’s Pep’s opinion and what works for his style of play. Ederson won’t be in my top 10 of the best goalkeepers in Europe. We are discussing his legs instead of his hands. Why is he even in a conversation of the best goalies? Dean Henderson is a better shot stopper than Ederson. |
Android22:The crux of this discourse is that he makes no mistakes with his legs. He does but he’s not been punished for it. These are two different matters. Has Ederson made mistakes or miskick a ball? Yes. Has he been punished for the mistake? No Lack of punishment does not mean he hasn’t made a mistake. |
Expert17:If Ederson plays for Man Utd, he would be winning golden gloves too behind Maguire and Shaw? I posted a stat that he faced only 88 shots in the league last season and you are telling Pep’s style doesn’t protect him. Why is he facing less shots than his colleagues? Opposition strikers love him or Ederson uses charms on them not to take shots? |
Android22:Inconsequential mistake. If any outfield player made that mistake leading to a shot on target, you would curse him out. But the majestic Ederson has no blame if he misplaces a kick that barely missed the target. Everybody makes mistakes. |
Expert17:There are plenty of errors. I don’t watch City that much. |
