There's a video, might be real after all

I have a feeling a huge amount of cash has moved from Suleiman's hands to Otobo's and this charade was put up as closure to the whole brouhaha; This is best for all parties concerned

1. Otobo comes out of this richer, good business

2. Suleiman loses some money but would gain even more following from this as he's "vindicated" which in turn leads to more income so the money he paid Otobo might be insignificant on the long run; good business

3. The sheeples trust their pastor more and raise their tithe to 30% like Suleiman reportedly raised his to (who does he tithe to? well..... cough cough)

4. Pastor haters would be disappointed

5. (some) Atheists simply ask the question, why couldn't Holy Spirit reveal the truth of the matter to the congregation? to all Christians? cuz many Christians were of the opinion Suleiman is guilty while many were of the opinion that he's innocent and all of them claim to have Holy spirit that reveals "Truth" to them
I can see how disappointed you are Brother Hope.

Please truthfully answer this
What was Isa's achievement in his first coming?

Didn't he fail miserably?
I have been here before. Let me explain how it goes. They will tell you His achievement was to predict the coming of momo. And when you ask for proof of this, they will point to John 16. and when you prove to them that John 16 was talking specifically about the Holy spirit, they will tell you the we have corrupted the scriptures. So their prophet Isa's only achievement was to reveal the coming of momo and even at that Allah couldn't even keep the evidence as he let his own creations corrupt it.

Quit exposing your ignorance, there exists not a single historical source which documented the supposed crucifixion of Jesus,no historian sees the gospels-which are all of dubious origins-as an authoritative source. The main reason they could give some credence to the crucifixion story is based on the secondary grounds that xtians wouldn't have invented such shameful death of their most important figure.
Morever, there existed gnostic xtians and some gospel works existing before the revelation of of the Qur'an whose accounts of the crucifixion aligns closely with the Islamic idea. That claim of yours that the crucifixion denial is unique only to Islam is also false.

All in all the supposed crucifixion of Jesus has ZERO significance to Islamic doctrines. The crucifixion denial verse was even revealed in relation to some Jews who were boasting about his death.
For someone who accuses me of ignorance, you are extremely ignorant. The picture attached are all renowned scholars who have studied the life of Jesus. They all have written books on this and none of them are Christians. Not even one! You think the four gospels are the only sources that records the death of Jesus? And you claim there are other historical records that agree with the Quran? I beg you to give mW sources or links or names of these records or shut up and stop being ignorant! And funny how you failed to address the fact that Allah's deception actually started Christianity. Sir, stop being blind. Seek the truth and it shall set you free

Who taught our children how to hold grudges/ malice?

When they were toddlers, they were free. Forgiving. You beat them, they come back to you.

Later, without . anybody telling them anything, they start holding grudges.

Parents sat them down and taught them?
You know the funny thing about Islam? Even their Quran preaches inherited sin but they don't even know. Adam and Eve according to the Quran were made in heaven. They lived in heaven and were sent to earth after they sinned. We are all on earth now and no one lives in heaven. Aren't we suffering the effects of Adam and Eve's sins? Of we weren't, then we will be in heaven. Confused lots

A Christian asked: Why do Muslims persist in denying that the Messiah came to redeem us?

Answer:

Praise be to Allaah.

The doctrine of redemption, and the basis of this doctrine which is their belief that the Messiah (peace be upon him) was crucified, is one of the basic doctrines of Christianity, so much so that they would gamble the entire religion on this doctrine. The English cardinal Manning says in his book “Eternal Priesthood”: “The importance of this confusing topic is obvious, for if the death of Christ on the cross is not real, then the basis of the church’s doctrine will crumble from its foundations, because if Christ did not die on the cross, then there is no sacrifice, no salvation, and no trinity… Paul, the Apostles and all the churches say that, i.e., if Christ did not die then there was no resurrection either.”

This is what Paul said:

“And if Christ has not been raised, then preaching is useless and so is your faith.”

I Corinthians 15:14 – New International Version (NIV)

Just as they struggle with their belief in trinity and what it means, and how they can reconcile it with the belief in monotheism which is affirmed in the Old Testament (See the question: 12682), and just as they also struggle with everything that has to do with the crucifixion and its details, which is the basis of their belief in redemption which they believe is the reason for the crucifixion (see also no. 12615), we say: as confusion is inevitable for everyone who turns away from the light of revelation that came down from Allaah, similarly they are confused about the doctrine of redemption.

Does redemption mean saving all of mankind, as John says:

“…Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.

He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world”

I John 2:1-2 (NIV)?

Or is it only for those who believe and are baptized:

“Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned”

Mark 16:16 (NIV)?

The one who studies the life and sayings of the Messiah will see clearly that the call of the Messiah was addressed to the Children of Israel, and that throughout his mission he forbade his disciples to call anyone else. So salvation must have been only for them. This is what we see in the story of the Canaanite woman who said to him:

“… ‘Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession.’

Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, ‘Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.’

He answered, ‘I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.’

The woman came and knelt before him. ‘Lord, help me!’ she said.

He replied, ‘It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs.’”

Matthew 15:22-26 – NIV

The Messiah did not heal the daughter of the Canaanite woman, although he was able to do so, so how could he redeem all of mankind?

Was this salvation from the “original sin” of Adam only, or does it include all of our sins?

But no one can bear the sin of anyone else, or redeem him with his own self, as Allaah tells us in His Holy Book (interpretation of the meaning):

“And no bearer of burdens shall bear another’s burden; and if one heavily laden calls another to (bear) his load, nothing of it will be lifted even though he be near of kin. You (O Muhammad) can warn only those who fear their Lord unseen and perform As‑Salaah (Iqaamat‑as‑Salaah). And he who purifies himself (from all kinds of sins), then he purifies only for the benefit of his ownself. And to Allaah is the (final) Return (of all)”

[Faatir 35:18]

This is what the texts of their Bible also say:

“The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him”

Ezekiel 18:20-21-- NIV

There is no inherited sin (“original sin”):

“If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin.

He who hates me hates my Father as well.

If I had not done among them what no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. But now they have seen these miracles, and yet they have hated both me and my Father”

John 15:22-24 – NIV

When there is sin – whether a person has committed it himself or inherited it from Adam or from another of his forefathers – can this sin not be erased through repentance?

The people of heaven rejoice over the one who repents like the shepherd rejoices when he finds his lost sheep, and the woman rejoices over her lost penny when she finds it, and a father rejoices over his prodigal son when he returns:

“I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.”

Luke 15:7

God promises those who repent that their repentance will be accepted:

“But if a wicked man turns away from all the sins he has committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, he will surely live; he will not die.

None of the offenses he has committed will be remembered against him. Because of the righteous things he has done, he will live.”

Ezekiel 18:21-23 – NIV. See also Isaiah 55:7

Putting one's trust in one’s lineage without repenting or doing righteous deeds is a kind of madness; if a person’s deeds slow him down, his lineage will not help him to speed up, as our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said. (Saheeh Muslim, 2699)

John the Baptist (Yahya – peace be upon him) taught you the same things:

“You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.

And do not think you can say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.

The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire”

Matthew 3:7-10 – NIV

Forgiveness of sins through the sinner’s repentance is what befits the kind and merciful God – not sacrifice and crucifixion and the shedding of blood. This is what the Bible says:

“I desire mercy, not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners (to repentance)”

Matthew 9:13 – NIV
(the words “to repentance” do not appear in the NIV but are present in the “King James” or “Authorized” translation of the Bible).

Hence Paul says:

“Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.

Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him.”

Romans 4:7-8 – NIV

We believe that if Allaah had commanded some of His slaves to kill themselves in repentance from their sins, that would not be too much for them to do, and that would not contradict His being kind and merciful. He commanded the Children of Israel to do that when they asked to see God directly, but even then no one was to be killed for anyone else, rather a person was to be killed for his own sins, not for the sins of another. That was the heavy burden and fetters that were upon them (cf. al-A’raaf 7:157), from which Allaah has spared this ummah (nation/community).

Another matter that disproves the belief in original sin is the texts which mean that each person is responsible for his own actions, as Allaah says in His holy Book (interpretation of the meaning):

“Whosoever does a righteous good deed, it is for (the benefit of) his own self; and whosoever does evil, it is against his ownself. And your Lord is not at all unjust to (His) slaves”

[Fussilat 41:46]

“Every person is a pledge for what he has earned”

[al-Muddaththir 74:38]

Similarly it says in your Bible:

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged.

For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you”

Matthew 7:1-2 – NIV

“For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done”

Matthew 16:27 – NIV

The Messiah affirmed the importance of righteous deeds, and said to his disciples:

“Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'

Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'”

Matthew 7:21-22 – NIV

Similarly, he said:

“The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.

They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth

Matthew 13:41-42 – NIV

He did not tell them of redemption by which they would be saved from the reckoning.

Those who do righteous deeds are the only ones who will be saved on the Day of Resurrection from the reckoning, whilst those who did evil deeds will be carried off to Hell, with no salvation by the Messiah or by anyone else:

“… for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice

and come out--those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned

John 5:28-29 – NIV

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory…

Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels’”

Matthew 25:31-42 – NIV

The Messiah said to them:

“You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?”

Matthew 23:33 – NIV

Adolf Hernck noted that the epistles of the Apostles did not include the idea of salvation by redemption, rather they suggested that salvation is attained by good deeds, as it says in the Epistle of James:

“What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?

… faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

… faith without deeds is useless (or dead).”

James 2:14 – NIV

And Peter says:

“I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism

but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right”

Acts 10:34-35

There are many similar examples in the words of the Messiah and the disciples.

Allaah the Almighty has spoken the truth (interpretation of the meaning):

“O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable of you with Allaah is that (believer) who has At‑Taqwa [i.e. he is one of the Muttaqoon (the pious)]. Verily, Allaah is All‑Knowing, All‑Aware”

[al-Hujuraat 49:13]

What is strange is that Paul himself, who abolished this teaching and said that deeds were to no avail, and that salvation is only by faith, affirmed the importance of righteous deeds on other occasions, such as when he said:

“A man reaps what he sows

… Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up”

Galatians 6:7 – NIV

“and each will be rewarded according to his own labour”

I Corinthians 3:8 – NIV

(For more information on this matter see: Dr Mundhir al-Saqqaar: Hal aftadaana al-Maseeh ‘ala al-Saleeb)

So you have no way of resolving this contradiction unless you ignore your common sense and reasoning, and delude yourself with false wishes, as you do in the case of the doctrine of trinity and unity, which is what John R Stott advises you to do in his book Basic Christianity: I do not dare to deal with this subject, before I admit frankly that a great deal of it must remain a hidden mystery… I wonder how our weak minds cannot comprehend it fully, but there will inevitably come a day when the veil will be lifted and all mysteries will be resolved, and we will see the Messiah as he really is!

… How is it possible that God was incarnated in Christ, whilst making Christ a sacrifice for our sin? I cannot answer this, but the Apostle himself places these two truths side by side and I accept the idea completely, just as I accept that Jesus the Nazarene is human and divine in one person… If we cannot resolve this contradiction or solve this mystery, we should accept the truth as proclaimed by Christ and his disciples, that he bore our sins.”

Basic Christianity, p. 110, 121, quoting from Dr Sa’ood al-Khalaf, al-Yahoodiyyah wa’l-Nasraaniyyah, p. 238.

Yes, you and we will see the Messiah as he really is, one of the slaves of Allaah who are close to Him, and one of His Prophets who were sent, on that Day when the veil will be lifted and he will disavow himself of all those who took him as a god besides Allaah, or who attributed to him words that he did not say. At that time there were no mysteries or puzzles:

“And (remember) when Allaah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): ‘O ‘Eesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allaah?’ He will say: ‘Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my inner‑self though I do not know what is in Yours; truly, You, only You, are the All‑Knower of all that is hidden (and unseen).

‘Never did I say to them aught except what You (Allaah) did command me to say: Worship Allaah, my Lord and your Lord. And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them, but when You took me up, You were the Watcher over them; and You are a Witness to all things. (This is a great admonition and warning to the Christians of the whole world).

‘If You punish them, they are Your slaves, and if You forgive them, verily, You, only You, are the All‑Mighty, the All‑Wise.’

Allaah will say: ‘This is a Day on which the truthful will profit from their truth: theirs are Gardens under which rivers flow (in Paradise) — they shall abide therein forever. Allaah is pleased with them and they with Him. That is the great success (Paradise).

To Allaah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is therein, and He is Able to do all things

[al-Maa’idah 5:116-120]

Will you think about it before it is too late?

“Say (O Muhammad): ‘O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allaah (Alone), and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allaah.’ Then, if they turn away, say: ‘Bear witness that we are Muslims’”

[Aal ‘Imraan 3:64].

May Allaah guide us to the truth!

I stopped reading at "The Messiah did not heal the Canaanite woman". Where did you get this rubbish from? Do you know the Qur'an is the only document that denies the death of Jesus? And it was written over 600 years after Jesus. And do you know why momo your prophet denies it? Because if Jesus died, then there is salvation and Christianity is true. But momo knew denying it plainly will only make him look foolish due to mountains of evidence of Jesus death, so what did he do? He claimed Allah made it look like Jesus died so he could hide behind the evidence. This is very foolish, you know why?
Because the Christian faith is based on the supposed death and resurrection of Jesus. So Allah making people think Jesus died actually started the Christian faith. Because people beloved Jesus died and resurrected because Allah made them believe so. So you want to know why there are many Christians today? Blame your god Allah.
And then he waited 600 years to send a prophet to correct his own error.

TV/Movies / 5 Conclusions From Game Of Thrones 705 (beware Of Spoilers) by ilynem(m): 6:51pm On Aug 14, 2017
1. Always listen to a girl's "pointless" talks : Gilly (who I think is one of the most adorable characters) went from talking about steps in the citadel, to windows in the sept of Baelor to a man's bowel movement and then gave the greatest reveal in the entire series till date and Sam ignored everyone of them. If you are man reading this, better start thinking back at all the supposed pointless chatter from your wife or girlfriend or sister, you might actually find sandwiched in them, something that can change your life grin . We all knew from last season that Jon was not just a bastard son of Ned stark but was the son of Raeghar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. But of course we believed Raeghar to be married to Elia Martel which made any son between him and Lyanna a Bastard. Bastards can't be Hiers to thrones. But Gilly finding out that Raeghar actually married Lyanna means that Jon is a true born son and has a bigger claim than Cercie or Dany. How will both parties take this news? And isn't it ironic that the real heir to the throne has no interest in it while the other two fight for it? For long we have thought Jon was Ice and Dany was fire, but this just proves that Jon is both Ice (stark blood) and Fire (Targaryen blood).
2. Cercie will be the end of Jamie: no one knows how to play the game like Cercie. She is the chief manipulator and for long she had manipulated her twin brother into doing every single thing for her. Just when we hoped Jamie might be getting out of that trap, boom! She's pregnant with a baby, tying the poor guy further to her apron strings. With that, Jamie will be ready to give his life for her because he now has one more reason to.
3. Stark/Baratheon Reunion: One of the biggest stories in game of thrones folk lore is the friendship between Robert Baratheon and Ned Stark. That friendship conquered the seven kingdoms during Robert's rebellion and smashed the greyjoys during the greyjoy rebellion. It is nice that Jon and Gendry might want to replicate that friendship. Would they together rebuild the seven kingdoms like Ned and Robert did? Seeing Gendry with the exact prototype of the war harmer Robert used was also refreshing.
4. Littlefinger is still Littlefinger: Well here I was thinking the former master of coin was losing it. But this episode showed he still has his game on. Turning both sisters against each other was a master stroke. Arya and Sansa never had the best of relationship from their young age and playing on the friction means that Littlefinger gets to make Arya look like the enemy while he keeps Sansa in his pocket. The letter he let Arya see was the one Sansa was forced to write from kings landing to her Robb stark back in season 1, detailing how Ned connived to steal the throne from Joffery. This will definitely not go down we with Arya stark. But I still can't shake the feeling that this plan will be the end of Littlefinger.
5. Next episode to see the death of major Characters: I love how fast paced this episode was and it was full of excitement. The meeting of major characters makes next episode even more intriguing due to the formation of what I call the Suicide squad. The wolf, The bear, The Hammer, The Priest, The deadman, The wildling and The hound. These are men that have absolutely no reason to like each other. Gendry should hate the brotherhood for selling him to Melisandre. Tormound and Jorah should be on each other's necks. But they have united for a common course. Jorah and Thoros of myr should know each other well from their battle against the Greyjoys. But who will make it back from the wall? I am only certain of Jon and Sandor Clegane. It will be cruel to bring Gendry back, tease a possible friendship with Jon only to have him killed immediately, but that is something Game of thrones can do. Sir Jorah is certain to die as I believe he will be a complication to Dany at this point. Beric will die and can't be brought back to life if Thoros dies first. And Thormond? I don't want him to die. I love him, but Game of thrones love breaking our hearts.

TV/Movies / 5 Conclusions From Game Of Thrones 704 (beware Of Spoilers) by ilynem(m): 9:41am On Aug 07, 2017
1. Game of Thrones is the greatest show ever made: Yes! I know this is becoming cliche now, but it can not be emphasized enough. In most movies and shows, there is clearly the good side we all root for and then there is the bad side we all want to see die, but not this show. While there are some characters we all wanted to see die (Joffery and Ramsey), there are also some we all wonder why we want to keep seeing them alive. Take Cercie for instance, at some point we all concluded she was the most evil human ever, but most of us rooted for her against the high sparrow. Now take Jamie who is an even more confusing character. This is a guy who attempted to kill a 10 year old by pushing him out of a high window, raped his own sister in front of their dead son, killed his own cousin just so he could escape, but still my heart stopped when Drogon almost roasted him alive. Speaking of Drogon, just as we all cheered when Arya, a supposed 16 year old committed mass murder at the start of the season, I was also cheering in this episode when a dragon kept roasting hundreds of people alive! The conflict of emotions is just amazing. I went "burn them all Drogon", to " No Drogon, don't kill Bronn", to "Bronn don't shoot that damn dragon", to " No Drogon don't kill Jamie". You can't just pick a side on this show and I sincerely feel for those who don't watch it. You all don't know what you are missing!
2. Advantage Dany: The last two seasons have been about Cercie having the upper hand against Dany, but this season, Dany delivered a serious blow that Cercie might not recover from. Funny how taking Olenna's advise to "be a dragon" instead of Tyrion's clever plans have worked for her. Right from season one, Robert Baratheon had emphasized the dangers of meeting the Dothraki in an open field. And here we are, six seasons later, Jamie and his army witnessing it first hand and even without the help of Drogon, the Lannisters would have been swamped. So what now for Cercie? She still controls the seas with Euron, but Dany will now realize it is madness to try to take the seas from Euron, as she will keep her army on the land where she knows she has the advantage. As cercie told the Iron Bank man, she has contacted the golden company to come "help her recover" something. My guess is, that "something" is the North which Jon holds. But that is a terrible, terrible idea. She should ask Stannis how foreign soldiers fair in the North and especially now that winter has come, the golden company will not stand a chance. Her only hope is the guy who controls the Vale and he is in serious Danger!
3. Littlefinger's end is near: "Chaos is a ladder". Little finger first made that statement back in season 3 (or was it 4?) to Varys and it is clear that it has been his watch word from the get go. Robert's rebellion was a huge chaos that moved the unknown Littlefinger to from a nobody to master of coin in kings landing. It could be argued that he actually started the war of five kings and this chaos first made him lord of Harrenral and now protector of the Vale. His next target is the North and he figures marrying Sansa will give him that (as long as he can get rid of Jon somehow). But now our favourite Evil man is surrounded by the pack of wolves. " when the long night comes, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives). Here we have Sansa who currently knows him in and out, Bran who can see things and would probably soon find out Littlefinger betrayed their father and caused his death and then there is Arya who is a killing machine. I am willing to bet that this man will not survive this season as he has started to lose focus.
4. The stark name coming to an end. We have seen extinction of some great houses. From the Baratheons to the Tyrells to the Bolton's. There are only three Lannisters left but the stark name is also on the brink of extinction. With Bran being the three eyed raven and Jon not really a stark, Arya and Sansa are the only two true starks left. Sansa (if she survives will probably marry some Lord and will change her name, and I don't see Arya doing same as "that's not her". There are no males left to keep the stark name going and I have to say, I am genuinely sad for this.
5. Game of thrones is really, really too short: Guys, there are three episodes left. One, two, three! And there will be no game of thrones till 2019 (there are rumours that there will be no game of thrones in 2018). I need to lie down and cry.

Its unlikely. She doesn't even know the kind of poison she drank. You have to be a poison's expert to know that kind of thing.

JbravoAdodger:
wow! Im glad i ignored your spoiler warning. i havent seen this yet, but actually got is probably the only series you can still enjoy even with spoilers.
very interesting points you brought up.
while im here let me tackle your points 1,3 and 4.

1. ive been waiting since forever for my favourite male and female characters to finally meet, always wondered wht kind of chemistry would spark up between them even tho we recently discovered dany is Jon's aunty. but if u know the history of targaryans you will agree interbreeding is kind of a trend. still rooting for tht hookup between ice and fire.

3. danaerys has no choice but to cede the north. even aegon the conqueror with his 3 dragons and 2 good riders with him never conquered dorne so the queen should just manage with 6 joor.

4. And lastly, as much as I would love the remaining living starks to all reunite in one big happy reunion scene I don't see it happening. remember rickon? hate to say it but with the timing of Jon leaving winterfell just before arya arrived, and knowing ahead of time how sadistic the world of GOT is, I fully expect Jon to never see his closest sibling again!! hope I'm wrong sha.... maybe we should pray on it...
.....fin
In one of the trailers, Jon was fighting in the north. I don't know if that was beyond the wall but it was definitely north. He will go back to the north at some point and let us hope Arya is there waiting for him. As for the Jon and Dany hookup, I will hate to see that happen. Too predictable. Let's hope the writers have something up their sleeves.
TV/Movies / 5 Conclusions From Game Of Thrones 703 (beware Of Spoilers) by ilynem(m): 7:16am On Jul 31, 2017
1. Ice meets fire It was so funny to watch Missandie read all of Dany's titles and then watch ser Davos just say "This is Jon Snow, King in the north". But this has to be the most iconic moment in TV history. We had waited six full seasons to watch this two finally meet and we have to give credit to the writers for a job well done. The parallels between these two characters over the years have been amazing. Jon was regarded as a bastard and an outcast same as Dany who was married off to the Dothraki and Jon joined the Night's watch. Dany turned her misfortune to her advantage by taking over the Dothraki and sailing them to westerous for the first time and Jon did the same by becoming Lord commander of the Night's watch and letting the wildlings into westerous for the first time before becoming King in the north. Now to business! Like I predicted last week, Jon will not be interested in the wars for the iron throne as his focus is north of the wall and this is playing out. Allowing Jon mine the Dragon glass was a smart move and now I am sure she will demand something from him next week. War advise maybe? As tyrion is really failing at it.
2. More Advantage Cercie. Talking of Tyrion, anyone noticed how well he handled diplomatic relations between Dany and Jon? Brilliant! That is where Tyrion's strength lies, not Battle plans. From day one I have been drumming the need for a real battle commander at Dany's camp as Tyrion does not cut it. Cercie has Jamie, Euron, Randyl Tarly and even Bronn all with Battle experience. She has the psychotic Qyburn to look for more ways to handle the dragons. But what does Dany have? Tyrion who has won only won Battle that even needed his father to save him. We all thought the plan to take casterly rock was a brilliant one but as usual, Jamie was one step ahead. Now the Unsullied are trapped there with no food and no ships to sail away while Jamie has the "food mine" which is High garden and the loyalty of the lords of the Reach. Oh! And they now have the Iron bank on their side again. The last time the iron bank supported someone in battle, he lost. Let us hope this is good omen.
3. Dany will Cede the North Desperate times call for desperate measures and at the moment, Dany will be getting desperate. She needs Jon snow's wisdom more than ever and will this make her give him the north? Dany has shown she could compromise in the past and this is a situation she really needs to. But there is another complication. Who really should be King in the North? Now that Bran is back, a lot of things will be revealed and one of them is Jon's real parentage. How will the northern Lords react to the fact that the King in the north is a Targeryan Bastard?
4. Stark reunions, best thing on television Last season we saw Jon and Sansa being the first starks to reunite since season one. Now we have just witnessed Bran and Sansa and it was just as emotional as one will expect. At least we are expecting one more reunion if Arya finally makes it to winterfell and one has to wonder how Sansa will handle the change in her siblings. The last time she saw them, they were adorable little kids and now, Bran is the three eyed raven while Arya is no one. But let us look at the possibilities that might occur with Bran's return. Not only does he know that Jon is a Targ, he would also know that Littlefinger betrayed Ned stark. If this is true, then surely the end is near for the master of coin.
5. RIP Queen of thorns: I do not think there has been any death as gangster as Lady Olenna's. We knew we had an insanely good character the first moment we saw her back in season 3 at the garden in kings landing. Ever since she consistently delivered the most iconic lines and gave us sheer entertainment. She also masterminded the death of the most despicable kid in TV history and we all cheered for her. Her last line was definitely her best! "I want Cercie to know that it was me". Lady Olenna is making sure Cercie still has it worse even though she had succeeded in killing her. We will miss the Queen of thorns greatly. Cheers to the most gangster death in game of thrones.

1. Advantage Cercie: Like I predicted last week, the war is closer than we all think. Dany will not "crush" cercie like we were all predicting, instead it will be a very close one. I highlighted the need for a real battle commander in Dany's camp and the stupidity of Yara, Elaria and the sand snakes just makes this even more obvious. They were no match for Euron and the Iron fleet and they were defeated with relative ease. Now all Dany has are foreign soldiers as Jamie is trying to rally the reach to his side through Randyl Tally. People who have read the books know that Randyl Tally (Sam's father) is no push over and another very strong commander with lots of experience. He was actually the only one who won a battle against King Robert during Robert's rebellion. Add to that the Dragon killing thing created by Cercie's hand, and Dany should be really afraid. She needs a Jon snow in her camp.
2. A distracted Jon snow: Talking about Jon snow, Will he support Dany in the war for the Iron throne or is he more concerned about the threat from beyond the wall? Like Sansa stated, the north is part of the Kingdom Dany is fighting for and Jon snow will never cede the north to her. And this means he will never join her in her fight against the iron throne. Even if she agrees to give the north independence, will Jon snow sacrifice more men in a war that he sees as irrelevant? KingRob pointed out last week that Jon would join forces with Dany to take the iron throne but westerous is running out of soldiers as it is and I do not see him taking part in that war.
3. Hope for Dany: Funny enough, the only hope Dany has for an experienced battle commander is at the Citadel currently covered in greyscale. The only hope they have is Sam's ability to work a miracle. And talking about Sam, will this give him more respect and attention at that God awful place because he really needs it. If Sam can successfully cure Jorah Mormont, this will give him more respect and attention which means the Citadel will take the threat of the white walkers seriously and this would also mean Dany would have to depend on a man she banished twice to take the iron throne. A lot depends on that fat man.
4. Varys to outlive Littlefinger: I placed a bet with a friend of mine back in season 1 on who would die first, Varys or Littlefinger. I placed my bet on the Eunuch because I felt he had no personal ambitions unlike Littlefinger who has eyes on the iron throne. Ambitious men are more prone to danger and It looks like the end is coming near for the former master of coin. His weakness was once Catlyn stark and this made him engage in a stupid duel for her hand in marriage that almost got him killed. This was something the normal Littlefinger will never do as he is usually more calculating. Now he has a new weakness in Catlyn's daughter Sansa. Telling Jon snow that he loves Sansa was a very stupid move not expected from him. The guy is starting to make mistakes and lose focus due to his love for Sansa who is obviously now smatter than she was before and this would be his end. Varys on the other hand is among friends. Looks like I am winning this particular one.
5. The humanity in Arya: The Arya the went to Bravos is obviously not the same one that came back. This one is cold and only motivated by revenge but it looks like that humanity is coming back to her. Last week she sat with lannister soldiers (and Ed Sheeran) realizing that not all Lannisters are evil. Today her reaction in seeing her long lost friend simply showed the girl from winterfell had very little love left in her. But it took news of her family retaking Winterfell for her to get back to the Arya of old. Don't get me wrong, she is still a cold hearted killer, but at least there is still a little humanity left in her. Also seeing her long lost wolf would also help and now she will be eager to get back to winterfell to be with family. But there is bad news. She will definitely run into three people still on her list. The Hound, Thoros of myr and Lord Beric Dondarion. Eager to see how that pans out.

You forgot the Grey Joy girl who has joined forces with Daenerys.

Now Daenerys has the wisest and most diplomatic man as her Hand, the Imp.
Yara is pretty good. But she is no match for her uncle. Same with the Imp. He is smart. But when it comes to battle, Jamie will best him easily

1. Women will eventually rule everything: During the early seasons, game of thrones was seen as highly misogynistic and got lots of criticisms from the feminists and girl power movements around the world for its supposed degrading of women. Scenes like Ramsey raping Sansa didn't help matters. Fast forward to season 7 and Cercie is queen of the seven kingdoms (three according to Jamie), Dany is in dragon Stone with the largest army in the world, Sansa is lady of winterfell and teaching Jon snow how not to die like their father and brother, Lyanna Mormont is shutting grown men up and Arya stark is a killing machine. The feminists are having a party right now.
2. Euron is the new Evil in Westerous: Game of thrones have always had sick bast**d killers in the past. Joffery was a sick psychotic killer everyone loved to hate. He died and Ramsey took over the Mantle. And now, we have the king of the iron islands even looking more badass than those before him. For those who haven't read the books, Euron Greyjoy is one of the most notorious killers in the seven kingdoms and bringing him on screen just continues the tradition of having at least one sick character everyone loves to hate. Plus, it would be nice to see him drive a wedge between Cercie and Jamie. I have an army with two good hands? Ouch!
3. Sansa will save Jon's life: The little argument between Sansa and Jon got me worried that theories of a Jon and Sansa rift were true. But I couldn't be more wrong. Jon is so much like Ned and Robb his stupidity will get him killed. Hell! His stupidity has gotten him killed before by trusting a man like Aliser Thorne to be first ranger in the nights watch. Sansa has learnt the game from the best (Cercie and Little finger) and her wisdom and experience will help Jon a lot if he is to rule the north.
4. Dany is a true Queen: Daenerys said just three words during the show, "Shall we begin" and it got our juices flowing. But there was something about her scene that struck me. She got into dragon stone and there was a throne ready for her to sit and rule. But instead of sitting (or resting after a long journey by sea), she walks past the throne into the room with the large table map and immediately wants to start planning. No rest, No fooling around, just straight to the business at hand. That my friends, is the quality of a true ruler and Dany will be a pretty good one. No wonder Tyrion believes so much in her.
5. Cercie can't be written off: At the end of season 6, we all had this feeling that Cercie was done for. Dany had an army of Unsullied, the Dothoraki hoard, The Martels and the Tyrells by her side, some Iron borns and three dragons. Cercie also had to deal with the Northerners who now had the vale with them (even though they were preoccupied by talks of the white walkers). But Cercie's chances to win that war were slim at best. But from now, you can see with Jamie who is a proven battle commander and Euron who no one can best at sea, she still has a chance. Jamie already has a plan to take high garden. This is strategic as High garden still posses the best supply of food to the Lannisters. Also taking high garden and killing the last Tyrell, Lady Olenna will mean that the lords of the Reach flock to the Lannister's side. Most likely, Dany will send Theon and Yara to battle their uncle Euron on sea and they stand absolutely no chance against him. For all of Dany's strength, she doesn't have a proven battle commander at her side (too bad Jorah is with greyscale and she left Dario at Meeren). Tyrion can try, but can never beat his brother Jamie at the art of war. The odds aren't looking all that bad for Cercie at the moment! But still, Dany has three Dragons!
