WhoBeThisMan:The Koran is claimed to be simply the words of Allah. There are collection of books called the Hadiths. They are about the life of Muhammad. Their two trusted sources are Sahil Bukhari and Sahil Muslim. They call these ones the strong Hadiths. Then there are weak Hadiths. They call them weak because many things in them are just too plain embarrassing to even attribute it to their prophet. So they shelve these Hadiths in a corner and call them weak (meaning they can't be trusted). 4 Likes |

WhoBeThisMan:Muslims are taught to defend Muhammad to the last. So truth is, they do not see anything wrong in his actions. He is like their Moral judge. As long as Muhammad did it, it is right! So truth is, they do not see anything wrong with the above claims. So you will get anyone of the following. 1. Muslims who are truthful and know these claims do not paint Islam in a good way. These ones will avoid this thread and make no comment. Because they know you are right, but too deep in their religion to have a rethink. 2. Muslims who are blinded by their faith but know nothing about their religion and only believes what their Imams tell them. So what will they do? Attack you and not the OP you raised. Call you a liar, call you ignorant, claim you know nothing about Islam and generally derail the thread. 3. Muslims who are blinded by their faith and actually know a lot about religion. These ones are the worst. When they come here, they will defend every action of Muhammad. I watched a guy on YouTube who actually claimed Muhammad marrying 11 wives was a good thing because all of them except Aisha (who was married at six and sex at nine) were actually widows. So he married them because these women had no one to take care of them. Looking at it from that point you might actually believe him and see Muhammad as a good man, until you realize that one of these women had her husband and father killed by Muhammad. Another was the wife of his own adopted son. And when people started to raise alarm that he had married the wife of an adopted son, Muhammad receives a revelation from Allah, banning adoption in Islam. How convenient that just when you Marry the wife of an adopted son, adoption becomes a taboo so it no longer looks like he married the wife of his son but instead the wife of another random guy. So you see, these set of people will come here and spin it like its a good thing Muhammad did. They actually believe his actions are moral and right. If Muhammad did it, it must be right and these are the most dangerous set of Muslims. I recall having a discussion with one of them recently and he was so convinced that Men are superior to women and that Beating of your wife is not wrong. Can you imagine what the wife of such a person will go through? I know you opened this thread for knowledge but my bro, you will only get this knowledge from Christians who will tell you the truth about Islam. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Koran 5:51. O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you - then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people. So you are not even supposed to be my friend or a business partner or anything of that sought. And did you say anyone is allowed in the Kaaba? So if you go to Mecca and ask to pray in the Kaaba, they will let you in free of charge So finally are you saying the Shiites are not Muslims? |

hushpapi:Funny. I never mentioned anything on terrorism in my quote. You are the one bringing it up now. I only asked, who are those allowed to enter the Kaaba? And why are shites in Iran banned from the Hajj? Now to terrorism since you brought it up. I do not judge any religion by the actions of people. I judge it by the teachings. The Koran says you should not be friends with us and we should find in you hardness. I can give you many quotes from the Koran. So maybe these people are just obeying the Koran? |

But how many people can enter the Kaaba? Plus I heard Iranians (Shiite majority) have been banned from going to hajj. Are they not "equal" too? |

WotzupNG:Sir, I kindly advice you Google "satanic logos". I bet even the phone you are using has one. Does that mean you aren't filled with the Holy spirit? And looking at it from the outside, everyone is questionable. Also, I feel you are expecting perfection from this men, which is absolutely not fair because they are humans. No Pastor leads anyone to Christ. They simply show the way, and your journey from there on is personal. 1 Like |

Religion / Re: These 2 Nigerian Pastors Don’t Have The Holy Spirit In Them by ilynem(m): 3:55pm On May 28, 2017 |
alBHAGDADI:My brother, I honestly believe salvation is personal. My salvation isn't tied to any pastor whatsoever. So if they all want to be fake, they can be fake. Of course there are false prophets! No dispute! But how do you know them? You can't judge them for wearing Vasace! Even the true prophets will go thought trials, so sex scandal is not proof that anyone is false. Even Jesus was doubted and so was apostle Paul. My advise is this. Serve your God. Work out your salvation. And leave the judging for God. He knows who is real and who's fake. You need to spend less time and energy attacking our own. Redirect your strength to the obvious enemies of the church. 1 Like |

LiberaDeus:OK sir. Sorry I took too long. How's work? I had a little work too myself and mine had a deadline so I had to finish it up. So let's begin from the very first. But before then, note that not all prophesies have BEEN fulfilled. As long as we are still on earth and the world hasn't ended, we can't just tick them off as unfulfilled. But a large number has been fulfilled already. So let's go. 1. Making Abraham's children like the starts in the sky. I personally think this should not be taken literally. God says Abraham's Children (Abraham apparently had only Isaac and Ismael) will be like the starts in the sky. No one tool the "children" part literally, why are we taking the stars in the sky literally? God only meant Abraham would not be able to count his children (descendants) being in Christ, means we are all descendants of Abraham. 2. About the word virgin birth. I explained this before. Almah is not the proper word but can be used also. And it seems the Jewish scholars who translated the Bible to Greek knew what God was talking about. When they translated the old testament to Greek, they used the Greek word for virgin and young woman. This was 200 years before the birth of Jesus. 3. About Damascus being destroyed. Of course this is yet to happen. But I need you to observe recent events in Syria closely. 4. About the Nile drying up. I personally believe this is yet to be fulfilled because the the prophesy talked about a wicked king and the also the Nile DRYING up. But some people talk about the construction of the Aswan Dam and the heavy effect it had on the Nile as fulfillment. But I am personally not buying it. 5. Egypt speaking the Canaanite language. To be fair I don't know much about this. But I promise to do a little research on it later. But is the Canaanite language really extinct? It might have gone through reformation but extinct? I doubt sir. But please educate me if I am wrong. 6. The uncircumcised and unclean being in Jerusalem. I think this talks about the last day when Jerusalem becomes God's own city and Jesus governs the world from it. 7. Egypt being unhabitable. Again, this hasn't been fulfilled. We all have to be patient. 8. Jews being pulled out of their land. Erm, how many times have they been "pulled" out of their land? They have been dominated but pulled out? Of course the fact that that their land is still being fought over till date, isn't that a fulfilment of another prophesy? 9. Nineveh being overthrown. There is a difference between God changing his mind and forgiven a sinful people. If God doesn't forgive then He can't be referred to as Merciful, can He? 10. Matthew wrongfully giving Jeremiah credit for Zachariah's prophesy. This is new to me. But let us look at this critically. Who says Matthew's words was actually referring to Zachariah? Yes they are similar but are they particularly the same? Nope. If we look at Jesus quotation of old testament scriptures, you will notice two things. (1) They were quoted word for word. Just as it was written in the old testament. I mean the exact words were used by Jesus. (2). He always said "it was written". Looking at Matthew, it has already failed both tests. It wasn't quoted word for word and he said, Jeremiah " spoke". Not wrote. Why are these important? Well, Matthew didn't exactly quote Zachariah word for word so it can be argued that he wasn't reffering to that exact verse by Zachariah. Secondly, you won't find that prophesy in Jeremiah because he "spoke" and didn't write. But that's my theory though. I will do a little more search and get back to you. 11. Jesus never being referred to as Emmanuel. Emmanuel means "God with us". Jesus was literally God with us. See? And yes Thomas called Him " God". 12. Jesus called a Nazarene. Again notice the word "spoke"? You do realize that there are lots of quotes spoken by prophets that weren't written down? Because they were meant to be memorized. 13. Jesus speaking a law not in the old testament? I think you should read Numbers 28:9. And before you say they aren't word for word, Jesus wasn't exactly " quoting". 14. Jesus' signs. In Matthew 24:4–31, Jesus is clearly giving a prophecy. He is speaking of future events. Jesus had already told those living during His earthly ministry that the kingdom had been taken from them (Matthew 21:43). Therefore, it is imperative that Matthew 24–25 be seen as dealing with a future time. The generation that Jesus speaks of “not passing” until He returns is a future generation, namely, the people living when the predicted events occur. The word generation refers to the people alive in the future when the events of Matthew 24–25 take place. 15. About the high priest seeing the second coming. The high priest will still see the second coming. Because during the second coming, the dead will rise. 16. Again, they will all be witnesses because the dead will rise. Again, I showed you the verse from paul about slaves and free people. When Jesus says, love your God and love your neighbor as your self, I think that included slaves as well, ya? And if you are to love slaves, then obviously, they shouldn't be slaves. Another thing you should know is that in Jesus time, the Jews were almost like slaves to the romans. So they themselves didn't have slaves. What they had were people who came to sell their labour for money which was perfectly normal. Now let me ask you. How about the prophesies that have been fulfilled? Are we just going to tick them off as coincidence? |
Religion / Re: Does God Really Love Women More? by ilynem(m): 5:38am On May 25, 2017 |
Seun:Sir, I think you underestimate the place of women in the Christian faith. Jesus had 12 disciples, all male. Fine. But you should understand that God limits himself within any context and culture to reach the people of a particular tribe. Jesus had female disciples! But chose 12 men to be with him. Let's imagine if Jesus was in today's society (which is not even as patriarchal as the Jewish society then). Imagine Jesus having 6 personal male followers and 6 personal female followers. Can you imagine the adultery scandals that would be flying about?? Luke 8:1-3 proves that there were always women travelling with Jesus, not just His personal male followers. Also one of the basics of our faith is in the resurrection of Christ. Women were the first to carry this testimony to the world. We are actually Christians because of the testimony of women. Finally in the case of women "submitting" to their husbands. No woman is a lesser human being that any man according to my faith. But in the context of marriage, the role of women is to submit to their husbands who's role is to act as the head of the home. It doesn't make them a lesser human being. It is just creates orderliness in the home. 3 Likes 1 Share |
