It is called manipulation. IBB na MARADONA
Very true.

IBB said Nzeogwu was more Hausa than Igbo but yet betrayed the Hausas.
His reason was that Nzeogwu grew up in the North, was from Delta and understood Hausa. Very funny. It's like saying someone is not Nigerian because he grew up in Europe.

A 25 years old new army officer's view? How old was Gowon then? So a 25 years officer is a kid in your eyes
He said it himself in the book.
PoliticsRe: Ethnic Bigots Are Upset That IBB Debunked The Igbo Coup Narrative - Rufai Oseni by Image123(m):
really? A 25 year old new army officer's views? He clearly mentioned that he was speculating and that events that unfolded afterwards tended to support that the rumours may be true afterall. Anyway, let bygones be bygones.

PoliticsRe: It’s Not Too Late To Punish Babangida For June 12 Election Annulment- Sowore by Image123(m): 10:25am On Feb 22, 2025
Why? Punished for what? He said "it wasn't me"
All our unfortunate leaders tried to make Nigeria better IN THEIR OWN WAY, including Abacha. They all claim that what they did was what they thought was the best for Nigeria. What did IBB do that Gowon isn't somehow responsible for worse? Today, Gowon can confidently walk up ANY church's pulpit and pray for us. Everybody should just go and sit down o, don't vex us. Only God can judge Nigeria matter.

All the village clowns that want to merge for a better Nigeria went to IBB book lauch to flex muscle of mega party, thinking that Buhari and Tinubu cannot attend but will send representative. Tinubu outsmarted them all AGAIN and instead, they were standing on his mandate. Anyone fighting that one politician is a saint is very dull.
PoliticsRe: How Biafran ‘ogbunigwe’ Shell Nearly Took My Life – IBB Recounts War Experience by Image123(m):
IBB's book is telling us how he tried to make a non-northerner win but the South-East didn't want it. Nzeribe the rich man started the ABN movement that clamoured for military rule to continue, while the South-East stood behind Northerner Tofa so that Abiola the man with the muslim-muslim ticket would not win. History unfortunately finds a way to sickly repeat itself.

PoliticsRe: There Was No Igbo Coup - Rufai Oseni by Image123(m):
From IBB's autobiography book

Those who argue that the original intention of the coup plotters was anything but ethnic refer to the fact that the initial purpose of
the plotters was to release Chief Obafemi Awolowo ‘from prison immediately after the coup and make him the executive provisional
president of Nigeria.’ The fact that these ‘Igbo’ officers would do this to a man not known to be a great ‘lover’ of the Igbos may have given
the coup a different ethnic colouration. But, again, I may be wrong here since this view is speculative. I admit that my position here may
be the naive insights of an unsuspecting young officer who viewed events from a distance!

I recall a particular incident that I shall never forget. Some of us young officers had gone out one evening for drinks at a nightclub
near the Ahmadu Bello Stadium. As we settled down to our drinks, we were confronted by passers-by who recognised us. They rained
abuses on us, calling us ‘big fools and cowards’ for not doing what they thought we should do. Articles in newspaper pages were replete
with scorn for us northern officers. Stories made the rounds that even the wives of married officers fought their husbands, calling
them cowards and threatening to withhold conjugal benefits from them! It turned out that the wives of Igbo officers, quite insensitively,
had been taunting the wives of northern officers about what had occurred to officers of northern extraction.

Meanwhile, the rumour mills went into overdrive with conspiracy theories. There were rumours that officers of Igbo extraction were
planning a second coup to kill more northern officers. Unfortunately, in the absence of an official federal government announcement about
the fate of the soldiers killed during the January coup, rumours were rife as to whether they were dead or alive.
There was also a rumoured plan to swap the 1st and 4th Battalions and rotate the military governors of the different regions.
These rumours were amplified by stories of some Igbos gloating over the January killings. Contrary to a promise given after the coup was
quashed that the coup plotters would be tried, none was ever brought to trial, although some were detained. On the contrary, a few of the
coup plotters were promoted. These confirmed rumours that an Igbo domination of national affairs was in the works.

Go and ask Tinubu that said its Yoruba turn and his turn.

I can bet you have never voted an Igbo man in your life for tribal reasons
Tinubu said it is HIS turn(and he was referring to an internal APC agreement that he had with Buhari. He never used that in the national campaigns), he did not mention tribe. No need to lie to make a point.

PoliticsRe: Natasha Akpoti: Akpabio Clashed With Saraki (Throwback Video) by Image123(m): 11:33am On Feb 21, 2025
Natasha is still wrong. Akpabio was wrong here and he apologized and kept quiet until seating arrangement issues were resolved. He claimed that the clerk allocated the seat to him. He didn't accuse anyone of trying to silence him, or bring up sentiments about denying his constituency and his gender. Nobody allocated the seat to Natasha.

If you listen to her, you will know that Akpabio has been trying to silence her voice, she used that opportunity to speak her mind.

Same thing Ireti Kingibe complained about SP
They are opposition, it's expected of them. The point is clear, sit in your allocated seat like everyone else and make your voice loud and clear. What's so important that she wants to say that she's been silenced? Is she not on social media? Can she not grant three TV interviews tonight if she chooses to? Let's not be sentimental with the truth please.

beardedboy:
Except you deliberately want to humiliate someone, there's no reason a good leader will act as Akpabio acted.

How can you act so condescendingly to a colleague like that and think it's normal?

What Akpabio did is called public humiliation and disgrace. It should only be done to serial and stubborn offenders. Except Akpabio can prove that she does this repeatedly despite being called to order respectfully and privately, his act remains unworthy of leadership.

Moreover, this isn't the first time he's having a cross fire with the woman. So it's easy to assume this was a deliberate witch-hunt.

This man has never been on the news for anything good since he became senate president. He should better try to fix his battered image. Oh, we're in Nigeria, there's no accountability here so he's immune to reckless and dirty PR.
Did you follow the story at all? About two members defected to APC which necessitated change of seats according to senate in house rules. Seats were changed, only Natasha refused to move and is claiming been silenced. From nursery school, the head of the class changes our seating arrangement without issues. How do you manage to politicize and feminise a change of seats for crying out loud?
