The man wants to be president so he can loot his own billions 😆😆 How can he want to be a democratically elected president of a country like Nigeria and can't see a very simple thing that majority cannot vote for him with his attitude? A man cannot see this simple thing wants to solve what? Does he think it's military decrees he'll be making as president? |

VTJN: Tinubu, NASS and the governors are the ones eating the subsidy money not the masses. Even in developed countries their government still subsidised some things for their citizens. Almost two years in office and the masses can't point at what they're benefiting from a government. The Npower every government used to support the masses, it got to Tinubu turn he removed it. He refused to pay their outstanding money. Money budgeted already under Buhari o. I know some people that got elevated through that Npower program. Some were able to raise capital from the money. Some got permanent government jobs after the program without knowing anyone (connection). Even a 10 years old child can differentiate Buhari and Tinubu government in terms of dividend of democracy. Make i no talk too much jare
We go meet for 2027 Lolz, it seems this npower thing is really personal for you. Anyway, they are working on doing npower again. NELFUND is a much better and visionary programme in my opinion and hundreds of thousands of students are already benefiting. |

VTJN: That is the same question op was asking and we're yet to get any response from anyone. He gave examples of how the masses/common man benefited from free education, cheap and subsidised fuel, subsidised electricity, cheap cost of goods and services, lower inflation etc were enjoyed under Buhari. There are so many other policies of Buhari enjoyed by the masses o, like Npower and the likes
President Tinubu is still borrowing money despite removing subsidy from our crude oil, education, electricity, floating the currency, increasing tax etc. He's still borrowing like past leaders that gave the common man free education and subsidised fuel, electricity and didn't float the currency. President Tinubu debt profile so far is hitting over 145 trillions barely less than 2 years in office.
The common man are not seeing the outcome of the tough choices made. He still borrow money like every other past leaders that gave us free education, subsidised fuel, subsidised electricity, lower inflation, cheap and affordable cost of goods and services. Tinubu has taken all of these away from the masses which the past leaders gave to us freely and he's still borrowing like the same past leaders. Removal of subsidies means that he doesn't need to borrow for that one as well. And also, try to get the debt in dollars before talking about 145 trillion. That should give a better perspective and maybe balance. Nigeria IS broke and WAS broke. It's like a broke man that was paying rent in a luxurious hotel that left to live in his uncompleted one bedroom. He's no more paying rent to the hotel, but he's still broke and has to borrow to build his house and other expenses that crop up, like transport, electricity , security, maintenance, that he seemingly wasn't paying in the hotel. Oga common man, previous governments don borrow your future. Even money made from crude oil sales was borrowed into the future. |

tctrills: As I proved earlier, it does kill especially in a country like Nigeria even if it's only 0.001% of you budget flushed down the drain in unaccounted Charity projects. I have nothing against individual charities but tax payer money must be spent in the most accountable and sustainable way. The debate here is not about what makes sense to me or what makes sense to your thousands of corrupt politicians and their followers, it's about pulling this country from the mud and saving us from leaders who use their shady charities to loot and their supporters who would go to any length to defend them online. Oga, do you in your honest mind believe that N2. 48 trillion is enough for the health sector? After that money is spent, would our health centers look less shity? The amount may seem big to you but is it big enough for the purpose it was meant for? If yes, then we can talk about your charity project and only if your process is transparent. You've not been able to prove how it kills except to keep whining that money is not enough for other important things. This is a well known fact for centuries, nothing new, money can never be enough. Given people money is not flushed down the drain. The government has been accountable enough with the monies, at least people know the amount and hundreds are involved in the process across states, parties, religions and tribes. It is nobodies' fault that you don't agree with it, your disagreement is not a definition of accountability. 2.48trillion budgetted for the health sector is monstrous compared to the gnat 9.74billion you are whining about, that was the point. It's the highest budget ever for health in Nigeria. You may contribute your savings or earnings to make it enough. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Can Christian Brothers Plait Or Colour Their Hair? by Image123(m): 9:14am On Jan 26, 2025 |
It's dicey as there's no very clear Bible rule with this. We have very strong traditional Christian views about it though. Length of hair and what you do with it are not SPECIFICALLY gendered in the new testament. In fact, the one that is supposedly quite clear about head covering is not observed, not to mention the one that is grey. Personally, i can't plait or colour my hair as a conservative believer. i would also not recommend it or wish it for anyone around me. But i can't condemn another for doing it as it's not explicitly stated in the Bible, at least in my understanding. |

But you claimed on the other thread that the delay in salary was due to software i clearly explained that it is commonsense that there'll be a shortage after increase in salaries and minimum wage by over 100% compared to what was budgetted. The news also mentioned that payment platform added to the delay. It's not mutually exclusive, i mentioned the two. |

Ojuntana: Keep quiet 🤫 The salary was delayed due to lack of funds which was requested for when the initial approved amount was expended The lack of funds was due to need to borrow to find the supplementary budget of 2024 or were you under a rock when these things were announced?
https://tribuneonlineng.com/2024-supplementary-budget-fg-seeks-2-5bn-world-bank-loan-to-augment-n50bn-pidf/amp/
Meanwhile the 50bn initial funding for the supplementary budget was dividend from the SWF started by Jonathan after the whole ECA brouhaha led by APC looting governors Yet you're claiming PDP did not do anything. If Jonathan and Okonjo Iweala had looted that $2.5bn like your APC thieves do, where will the N50bn come from Still nothing stating that the FG borrowed to pay salaries. Common sense is indeed not common. |
