Princedapace: U are the funniest human on earth. The topic here is fixing electricity for Nigerians, period. Abandoning it while not fixing our electricity is the deal. What dey Bleep is wrong with u all who try to support politicians here? Is it truly true that some of u are paid? Our sit of power using Solar where they spent 17b of tax payers money is evil. Nigerians sleep in darkness, doing this is pathetic. And yes, them dey take light for Aso rock that is why they spend heavily on fuel and gas. Look at this one, even national hospital dey use gas and fuel for alternative electricity becus they dont experience 24/7 electricity there from our national grid. They were budgeting reportedly about ₦47 billion per year for electricity. Someone said let's get solar for 10billion to stop spending 47billion yearly. And you are hear complaining that i am paid. In your mind now, you are abandoned and jilted. They are with you in the struggle when they budget 47billion yearly. Okay. So gas fuel and generators is not electricity in the school you went. Oh my days. |

So, what now happens to millions of nIgerians who cant afford over 10m to install proper solar? From business to homes, how do we cope? Or we are condemned to sleep in darkness and and in heat? AustineE1: Alex Otti has transformed Abia State through an aggressive infrastructure overhaul, including completing over 140 road projects, rehabilitating key Aba roads with reputable contractors, and initiating 24-hour electricity via the Geometric Power Plant. Initiated the reconstruction of over 170 primary schools and 51 secondary schools, along with hiring over 5,000 teachers. In health, he revamped various hospitals and primary health centers, improving access to healthcare. I don't want to go into how clean Aba has turned out to be over night, his use of modern waste management system, modernizing of trading space and industrial layouts to international standard....the list is just endless. That guy is a square peg in a square whole. All these successes you mentioned are things achieved by many lcda chairmen in Lagos. Sorry, nothing new. It's on every Nigerian govenors CV. Young people are still moving to Lagos in droves. |

We should all be happy that billions should no more be budgeted for electricity bills but here we are. Some people think they are fanning themselves in darkness in Aso Rock, waiting for nepa to bring transformer. Really, this is not quality opposition. Complaining, agitating and threatening about everything is not opposition or productive. Why not suggest good alternatives or accountability. For example, ask NICELY that this 47billion saved, can we/state house use it for specific projects in all the 36 states plus FCT? For instance, 47billion naira is about 1 million dollars each when divided by 37(36 states and FCT). You can lobby the FG to provide this for 3 to 5 years. Ask AI or something if you're lazy. This is better than just wailing like people possessed with witchcraft.

my point in clear terms, Bvas by default or design was meant to E transmit, citing network is no longer tenable in 2026 .. If bandits can upload videos of over 50mb inside forest no village in Nigeria is poorer beyond a Forest
By the way where is INEC in all of this, Only INEC is in best position to tell what Bvas can do or not, have Inec say it cant work. your excuses are 1. Poor Network 2. Hacked
Are they fixable and preventive ... absolute YES
1. Network ; With a budget of 1 trillion to Inec, why cant inec meet with choice service provider, give them a list of all polling centers and engage them to identify areas with poor network, prioritize nd upgrade those places .. is it rocket science
2. Hacker concern : it just shows how myopic or naive these people are, In the world of tech we have hackers and we have Firewalls experts
Once upon a time Dongles hack Dstv and we watched dstv premium for free, Dstv did not shut down nd cry we no do again instead
Dstv engage experts to come up with the strongiest Firewall to cut off all dongles ..till today nobody as succeeded to jailbreak Dstv channels again ... it cost Dstv Money not blood, So why cant INEC do the same or is 1 trillion budget chicken change Explain how it's the backbone. How it stops rigging any better. Explain how it's a loophole and doesn't work. Do this and stop stammering, or keep quiet. Your analogy is poor, whatsapp primary function is communication and sending messages via internet. Elections on the other hand have been carried out for centuries without internet. It can not only be imagined but also practiced without internet. BVAS only increases electoral integrity. How? By electronically verifying and accrediting voters using biometric authentication. Hope you are not like Obi who doesn't know what it is or the meaning? BVAS (Bimodal Voter Accreditation System). This helps prevent multiple voting or inflation of votes. Like i said earlier, it doesn't exactly stop rigging but minimises it. BVAS can also be used to capture and upload polling unit results to INEC’s server (IReV portal). In the last elections, many polling units, particularly in rural areas, experienced poor or unstable internet connectivity. BVAS devices could not upload results immediately. Some uploads were delayed for hours. In certain cases, results were uploaded later from different locations. These has little to nothing to do with INEC's fault and can still happen in future. Reason why MANDATORY e-transmission has issues. Elon Musk is a computer guru, he has no trust in using these kinds of processes and i know we are not mature for such also. Hear him yourself. Bosun Tijani is a Dr and computer guru, he is the current minister of communications, innovation and digital economy. Just yesterday, he felt he made a helpful and important announcement. You can check the complaints about no accessibility. This is just yesterday oh. IREV also experienced slow loading times, upload failures, some results appearing incomplete, camera error, battery failures, device freezing. There is also human factor errors. These will still repeat themselves, as we both know. Not to mention the elephant in the room of cybersecurity issues like denial of service, viruses or other attacks. Cyber attack is not preventable my friend, it can only be minimised in impact. And it depends on who is attacking. |

If Bvas e transmission will work or not ... why not lets try it let All use our eye to see.
National assembly are elected to represent the people not there father .. if the people want e transmission give them e transmission thats democracy

donself9: Are you a toddler or a day old baby, what do you mean by explain, explain what exactly if you lived in Nigeria for the past 10yrs, you want to tell me you dont know how rigging nd altering of results are carried out e
the Ec8 paper you keep mentioning .. is the loophole/target because it can be altered or re written on transit or swapped
No be this Nigeria we dey .. wey people go sit inside one room dey write Results nd that is what inec compute n announce, weytin our eye never see
The Bvas captures the true Result n stores it, Nobody can edit or altered what is captured by time, The Bvas E transmission insures the EC8 is protected, what you count at the polls is what you get on Announcement no surprises thats All
So why are these rogues hesitant and making up cilly excuses it wont work ... we budget trillion for 2027 election nd they dont want e transmission .. does it make sense Explain how ec8 is a loophole and what changes with e transmission. In election, who Has EC8 Copies During an Election? 1. Presiding Officer (PO) Completes Form EC8A at the Polling Unit (PU) after counting. Keeps one official copy for INEC records. 2. Party Agents (ALL Parties Present) Each accredited party agent at the polling unit is entitled to a signed copy of EC8A. This is crucial for transparency and later verification. 3. Polling Unit (Public Display) One copy of EC8A is pasted at the polling unit immediately. This allows: Voters Observers Journalists to see the results publicly. 4. INEC Officials at Collation Levels Different EC8 forms exist for higher levels: Level Polling Unit EC8A Ward EC8B Local Government EC8C State EC8D National EC8E As you may observe, the EC8 form is well documented and severally duplicated. Any party claiming otherwise is either playing to the gallery or unserious to start with. If you photoshop EC8 claiming it was changed, you have to produce original that aligns with what everyone else has. Naturally, as the true winner, you should have majority of proof and overwhelming evidence on your side, not just threat to judges and boasts to burn down the state and kill people. You gerrit? Like i said, mandatory e transmission is not practicable. Some communities and polling stations don't have access to such facility. Please, be reasonable. i have helped you attach what an EC8 form looks like.
