Earlier today, I accompanied the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, CON, as he commissioned the Ogbo Central Smart School in Ipupe, Ubakala, Umuahia South LGA. This is the first of 20 Smart Schools to be delivered across the 17 Local Government Areas and three senatorial districts of Abia State.

The future belongs to societies that invest in knowledge, innovation and technology. That is why we are transforming public education into a technology-driven system that prepares our children not just to earn certificates, but to compete, innovate and lead in a rapidly changing world.

Each Smart School is equipped with interactive learning boards, tablets for pupils, trained teachers, a sick bay, modern security systems and a learning environment that promotes creativity, excellence and character.

Yesterday, we launched the Manufacturing Technology (Manu-Tech) University Innovation Pod (UniPod) at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, with the support of the Federal Government, TETFund and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Today, we commissioned a Smart School. Together, these investments reaffirm our commitment to building human capital as the engine of sustainable economic growth.

We continue to dedicate 20% of our annual budget to education through improved infrastructure, teacher recruitment and retraining, and our policy of free and compulsory basic education. Every child in Abia deserves the opportunity to dream, excel and succeed.

I urge parents, guardians, community and religious leaders to join us in shaping children of character and protecting these public assets. Anyone found vandalising school infrastructure or extorting pupils or parents will face the full weight of the law.

I thank the Honourable Minister for honouring us with his presence, and commend the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Goodluck Chinedu Ubochi, and his team for their dedication to this transformative project.

Tomorrow is the reward for the investments we make today, and together, we are building a brighter future for every Abia child.

S&P moved Nigeria to Standalone Market status in 2024 due mainly to foreign exchange restrictions that made it difficult for foreign investors to move money in and out.

How many times have we heard Governor getting their cuts from contract giving to major companies.
So why I should I be surprised Mr Adeyemi said he bribed Gbajabiamila who's in a big govt capacity to do that.

Let me tell you a little story.
I was once a commercial driver, driving in Lagos. I retired just last year. Any driver in Lagos will tell you the hell we go thru with Lastma and police.
But let me tell you the truth, I used to engage with war of words with my fellow drivers concerning lastma issue.
And what are the things I do said that always triggers them. I always tell them, there's no one of our drivers that Lastma or police have arrested or stopped that hasn't done at least any small offense.

No Lastma or police just wake up for the day's work and say it's you particular he wants to arrest and make you pay one or two money, you must have done something.
And I am a big example, all the time I have been held by them. It's either I parked wrongly, pick up passengers at the wrong place, cus some little traffic, overload or my conductor hanging. Either way there's something you must have done which most of my colleagues drivers don't like admitting to. Yes I will also agree with them that some of our drivers gets away from this lastma and police with bigger offense, but it happens when the driver knows some top notch men above.

And as I learn about it too, I join in making myself known to some top brass so that my everyday work will be going smoothly.
So why did I bring up this story in connection to what we're on.
Mr Adeyemi couldn't have just wake up and say let me rubbish and defame Mr Femi Gbajabiamila. When Gbaja didn't collect his wife, or anything.
So before he boldly came out and said he gave Gbaja #400m, there must be an atom of truth in it.

Then here is another place I think I can somehow try and exonerate Mr Gbajabiamila. Truly Mr Adeyemi may not have met Gbaja face to face, even though he said they spoke on phone. But the truth I want you to know, that #400m change hands thru that late intermediary Mr Tanimola.
Why I said this is bcus, if that money hadn't reach the intended recipient, the budget allocated to that ministry wouldn't have been approved.
Now the bizzarre thing there is, did the money get to Gbaja thru the late Mr Tanimola, we don't know.
Who silenced Mr Tanimola forever (cus I can beat my chest he was assassinated) we don't know.

The silencing of Mr Tanimola is between one of Gbaja and Adeyemi to cover their tracks. But the truth is, that ministry and the bribe money exist and was paid.
So with everything I have said here, I hope you can get where I am going.
I don't know neither Gbaja nor Adeyemi. And they don't know me too, so there's no gain or lost for me to anyone of them that's vindicated.

By any global sensible metrics, 15th is different from 18th position, and an improvement.

18th position: Bottom 15%

So even with your conjured numbers, maths still proves you wrong.
As to S&P ratings, the broad hierarchy is:

Nigeria is currently in the Standalone market. Moving Nigeria to the frontier is an improvement. You can't rub it as you're not improving. Frontier markets are investable markets and more accessible than standalone markets. Your self acclaimed bottom percentile tag shows you off as unreasonable and maybe envious.
