We have anticorruption agencies (ICPC, EFCC and SFU) that are saddled with corruption fight. The reason I'm much interested here is because people had to die while a few were looting. Their blood seek justice. This fight shouldn't affect governance.

My motive is for Nigeria.
i also want justice but at what price? The fight is surely affecting governance, perception is very important in government. Everybody is talking about it most, it is becoming a main distraction. Tough and wrong choices will likely increase too. Media is filled with it, Nigerians are becoming enmeshed in it, it even constitute the bulk of what is asked and talked about with government officials.
Get the sponsors of boko haram and move on.

Tonye has made a lot of points, though his motives eternally remain questionable.
My submission though is that the government focus on and punish the sponsors of boko haram and continue governance. There's too much dirt in the past and too much work to do. PMB realized these when he initially promised not to probe the past but build institutions that punish and prevent corruption from May 29,2015 and forward. We need to move on as much as possible and demand those institutions.

The days turned into weeks, and the weeks turned into months. It was the middle of Christmasless December, for the story of Christmas begins years later.
A particularly nasty harmattan wind was blowing through the garden, leaving dust and dry lips in its wake. Eve woke up early that morning and immediately proceeded to make Adam breakfast.
As she walked past the Forbidden Tree, the unexpected happened. One of the fruits dropped and rolled to her feet.

The serpent's advice resurfaced in her mind. She had never felt this way before. She cast a quick glance round her to make sure no one was looking, stooped to pick the fruit and dumped it in her basket.

Back at their open tent, Adam had just rolled out of stone.
'Morning Eve, I'm really hungry today. Must be that new style we tried out last night, huh' he said, slightly tapping Eve's wide ass. Eve chuckled and dropped the basket on the grass.
Adam noticed the new item on the menu.
'Eve baby, what fruit is this? Isn't this fruit from the Forbidden Tree?' asked Adam.
'Adamumu honey, yes it is. It dropped at my feet just as I was walking past it today. I thought it wouldn't hurt to try. Aren't you tired of eating pear and guava? Let's try something new honey'...
Such is the power of persuasion a woman possesses over her lover, that Adam didn't even think twice before sinking his teeth into it and passing it on to his wife.

And as sweet juice of the fruit touched their tongues and rolled down the back of their throats, their reasoning became complete and scales fell from their eyes.

'Eve, what the Bleep happened? I feel strange'
'Me too, honey'

And for the first time, humans felt shame upon seeing themselves naked. Through the power of reasoning which they had gained by eating from the Forbidden Tree, they devised an ingenuous solution: Tree-Wear.
Made of leaves and twigs, this classic designer 2-piece could be worn around the balls and pussy comfortably. They immediately sought a place to hide from God, for they knew that they'd done wrong and offended God.

In the evening, there was a whistling at the Gates of Eden. That was the signal that God was approaching and was in a good mood. And, yeah, he was in a pretty good mood today. Who'd have known gliding through blackholes was such an exhilarating experience.

'Kpon kpon, una dey house? Adam, Eve, where una dey, I don show o'
This was weird. Something must have gone wrong.
'Oh no, no no no they couldn't have' God's mind pounded as he called out to them..

'Yes, Lord' Adam said in a really low voice.
'What have you done Adam?'
'I heard your voice and I hid from you for I am naked?'

'Who told you you are naked? Did you eat from the Forbidden tree?'...

'No be me o. Na the woman wey you use my rib design. Na she carry am give me as I wake this morning'..

'Eve, is this true?'

'Na Snake cause am o.' said Eve, tears streaming down her cheeks.

God was sad. He was broken but not heart-broken. How could his orders be disobeyed? Who would dare do this to him? He was going to correct this immediately. He would show no weakness.

'Snake'

'Yes Papa'

'Show'

The snake bounced like a gangster towards the center of the garden where they were gathered. And God started dishing out curses like a loving God.

'Snake, for wetin you do, no more feet for you. Na belle you go use dey waka up and down. When man see you, im go kill you post picture for Nairaland. Idiot, you wan carry me play abi'
'Eve, your father yansh there, from today, to born pikin go hard you well well'
'Adam, for this nonsense wey you do, you see this ground. I don curse am join. Before you chop for this life, you go sweat tire. Thunder fire all of una. See as una dey treat me after I don take my time create una..'

'Ngwa, everybody pack una load commot this garden now now'

'Oga, even us?' tortoise asked, 'Wetin we do na?'

'Mscheew, before I count ten, make all of una commot from here'..

As the animals moved towards the gates of the garden, Angels Gabriel and Michael from Heaven Sector 1 division approached from the skies with flaming swords to guard the entrance and ensure that no one would ever step foot again into Man's first home.

END OF PART ONE.
Nothing in the Bible says or suggests that Adam and Eve's reasoning became complete after eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. They saw new stuff though, but it didn't help their reasoning. They did make themselves aprons, but it wasn't something or power gained by eating. It was simply a solution they devised to their new found predicament. They were maintaining Eden, remember? Today, we would need expatriates, world-class scientists, harvard and oxford horticulturists, power plants, dams, the bests of fertilizers and GMOs, millions of dollars to even mimic Edenic landscape and scenery, not to mention maintain, dress and keep.
Also, God was not in a good mood when Adam and Eve ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil(Eve ate first BTW, another mistake on your part). That must have been a very sad and disappointing day from God to man, knowing all that would follow for the next thousands of years till hell fire. Man had failed the test, man had lost possession, the only hope was redemption. That is what made man's case different from or better than satan, no Jesus died for him on Calvary. If anybody was in a good mood, it was satan the old serpent, who would rather have man go down with him. God knew from the beginning that Adam will fail(that is a liitle bit hard to explain but that is the truth). God saw him fail, God is omnipresent and omniscient. God knew Adam and Eve and knew where they were. They were a disappointment because they had the ability to pass. It's like when you invest in a project, love a team, and expect it to do well and it doesn't. It broke His heart if we may so say, but He had a solution in Christ.
Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Jesus Christ, the seed of the woman not of the man, bruised the head of satan at calvary, and eternally continues to bruise him. satan also did his bit at calvary. We also do our bits by believing on the Saviour or not believing on the Saviour.

The story of creation as postulated by Christians really has a lot going for it, only thing is the people that wrote it didn't have great foresight. Talking snakes and donkeys, while intriguing are still things that should be left in a children fantasy book not a serious book that aims to explain the why and how of existence.

@op, your story is hilarious by the way although I'm not too sure of your own aim (are you giving your own account as inspired by Lucie or just narrating how the events actually happened. Either way, it's interesting).

I also read in a different thread that you used to go by the moniker Muskeeto and if that's the case, my oga, I troway salute. (I doubt you'll even remember me).
What is your own story of creation, let's learn from this great foresight you are about to post, thanks in advance.

The Garden of Eden was the first home of mankind. Eden was a garden of many firsts: the first place man peed, the first place man had sex, the first place man called home.

Adam and Eve, the first couple, trimmed the gardens during the day and fornicated at night. The ribwoman Eve would trim Adam's beards when he was done gardening late in the evening. She'd gather fruits for her man while he trained the animals on basic garden etiquette and it was on one of these fruitgathering trips she'd meet a snake that would change the destiny of the world.

Whether this snake could talk or it was possessed by a being, we'd never really know. But this snake's IQ was definitely higher than Eve's. For, how in Bleep's name, could a creature made from a man's rib, be so easily misled by a fucking snake?

Maybe it was the legs that got her tripping. She noticed him slithering on a tree, minding his own business.
'Hi Mr Snake, how far now? Hw body?', she said, as she set her basket full of freshly plucked oranges and guava beside the tree.

'Body dey inside scale, Ribwoman, how Oga Adam? ', snake replied.

' Im dey fine o.. I just tire for this life. No fun here. Those monkeys broke a giraffe's neck yesterday while swinging on it. Adam had to explain to God that he had his hands full chasing the hyenas away from the Forbidden Tree'.

The snake took one long look at her...

She continued.
'Why is that tree forbidden? ' she asked.
' Didn't Adam tell you? ' snake replied.
' Yeah, he said God gave him instructions against eating from the tree. He was warned that it'd kill him'.

'Kill him? Hahahaa.. No ribwoman. That tree won't kill you. The tree is dangerous because eating its fruit will give you great wisdom and knowledge. You won't die but live after eating it. You go sabi better thing if you chop that fruit, wallahi sister true to God. Chop am and you go see'..

Eve was taken aback at first with shock. There was something about what this snake that sounded right and wrong at the same time.

'Honey, where are you?. She looked up as Adam walked into view in the distance.

'I'm coming boo. Just getting your favorite fruits to make a fruit salad for you tonight '.

She quickly got up, and when she turned to bid the snake farewell, he was no where to be found.
Like i have earlier stated, the garden of Eden is not your regular garden the size of your primary school playground. It was massive. It contained trees and was large enough to be irrigated by four rivers. Also, you need to find out the meaning of fornication, Adam and Eve were married.

Gen 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

The garden contained among other trees, the tree of life, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Certainly, any logic that thinks, suggests or concludes that the tree of knowledge of good and evil indicates that Adam had no knowledge of good and evil should also think, suggest and conclude that Adam had no life. That's logic, that's reasoning, that's rationale. Adam and Eve didn't eat from either of the two trees before the "fall". This clearly shows that those names are symbolic and not literal in our common understanding.

So when the clay had caked, God exhaled and the clay inhaled. Thus, the heart began to beat and pump blood, through every vein and every artery. And he opened his eyes and saw no one before him. Only a voice. And the voice called him Adam..
And soon, some creatures were gathered around him, and the voice said he'd the power to name them. He was informed that he would have to manage and take care of every single one of them.

Adam took one look at the monkeys throwing faeces at each other, the baboons and the hyenas making raucous sounds. This definitely wasn't going to be the best job in the universe. There was nothing to envy here.

'Oh, before I forget, just one thing. You see that tree right there, the one between the guava and udara tree, yeah that one, don't go near that. It ain't safe. No matter how hungry you are, I FORBID YOU FROM EATING IT. Never ever ever eat it.'

'But, why?', Adam asked, as he noticed a strange feeling rise within him.

'It's just bad. Don't do it. It is the tree of knowledge. You'd know good from evil' God replied.

'What is good and what is evil?' Adam asked. God was stumped.
'Oh, ehn, never mind, heheh, ,just stay away from that tree. It could harm you, you really don't want to know the consequence'. And God disappeared before Adam could ask any more unsettling questions.

Daily, Adam cleaned the garden dutifully. He hung out with the animals, cleaned and fed them. Daily, he walked past the three, not even so much as glancing at it for fear he'd be tempted.

One hot afternoon, Adam fell into a deep sleep and when he woke up, he found he had 6 pack abs. One was missing. Scared to death, he quickly jumped and received the greatest shock of his short adult life. If the shock could kill him, it would have. But these were times in which men lived to be 900 years old and a heart attack was just a minor reaction to too much gardening.

Before him, stood the most beautiful being he had ever seen. And God whispered in his ears, 'that's your 7th pack right there'.

The first birthday gift ever was a woman, born of rib.
There is nothing unsettling to God about any tree, He made them all.
Gen 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

God made the tree for a purpose, which seems like to test man. Exams are not made for the purpose of failing students. You pass tests/exams to be verified, certified, promoted etc. Failures are the ones who complain about exams been out to fail them.
Now, the description of Adam's work and of the garden of Eden should show anybody that truely thinks that Adam was no slowpoke or dullard. Adam was made in the IMAGE of God, He was the most intelligent man that ever lived. He had divinity oozing all over him. Here is a man with ability and capability of assembling and naming ALL beast of the field, and every fowl of the air, and all cattle. Unintelligent people do not and cannot do that. Great scientists, historians and co are the ones that gather together to TRY and do that.
Also, the garden of Eden was not the size of your primary school playing ground. This was a place irrigated by four rivers. Eden is a picture of utopia, paradise and enlightenment. This was where Adam kept. It is where he worked, he dressed and kept it. He had ability to REPLENISH the earth with it. He was given the mandate to replicate Eden all over the earth. Ignoramuses don't do that, average IQs cannot process that. Here is the man who had all the gene, DNA, bloodgroup, brain etc all in him. That is who Adam was, before the fall. And even after the fall, and before the flood, the genius was still evident in the way fallen man lived their lives. Their feeding, their health, their discoveries, their music, their science, arts and commerce which set a precedence and foundation for all generations that followed.
Finally, Adam and Eve ere created on the same day, that is what the Bible says.

It was the weekend finally. After such a stressful week creating planets, rivers, and all other nonsense, God was about to embark on his biggest project. He put on his TMIF (thank me it's friday) t-shirt as he stepped out of his magnificent palace in heaven, specially built of course, by him.

He arrived Earth in the blink of an eye, landing right in the middle of his beautiful Garden. The beauty of intergalactic superCreator travel.

Quickly, he asked the animals to gather round for the first ever meeting of the Creatures. He promised them more fruits and when the snake showed up late for the meeting, he spoke extra feet to his legs. When they had all arrived and settled, he made the announcement to them..

"Birds, fishes, respected mammals, I gather you today to bring you good news. Ever since I created you a few days back, I've been thinking that you'd do better with a manager. So I've decided to create a new specie today, one who would rule over you in my stead"

"Oh let him have my ears and hands" the monkey screamed, swinging lazily on an elephant's trunk...

"Oh no, no, no....", God replied. "I have a better idea, I've decided to make him in my own image"...

The animals all rejoiced and celebrated. They couldn't make sense of what he said, but it must be an awesome idea.

"Relax, relax " God said as he tried to get their attention amidst the uproar his announcement had made.. "It's not going to be easy, and I'll need all of you to contribute. First, I'll need some clay"

"Erm, you're standing on it" the tortoise pointed out.

"Oh yeah, yeah, thanks, I'll just start working now. So y'all can leave me alone so I can work in peace"...

And so it began. God's greatest project. Holy divine sweat dripped down his godly brows as he shaped the perfect man; face, abs and balls all carved to perfection. Just as the sun began to set in the horizon, his magnificent work was finished.

All that was left was his breath. To initiate chaos.
Man is not chaos. Also, God did not take any input from animals to create man. This is absolutely ludicrous and nothing close to understanding christianity. God spoke to God in creating man, hear Him.
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Also certainly, man was never God's biggest project. God loves man no doubt, and made him the 'crown' of earth, kind of the lord of earth, giving him the dominion. But man is no where God's biggest project being the Lord of Heaven and Earth.
Dan 4:35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
Isa 40:15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.

In conclusion,
Jud 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
Jam 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

i hope that doesn't get anyone mad wink wink wink Who determines feminine colours, good food, poverty, eternal life, sobriety, discretion and discernment? i'm glad to read that even Pastor Adeboye of the RCCG doesn't think all dance/music is okay. Hear him in yesterday's Open Heavens'devotional.

It is not all praise and worship that is genuine and acceptable unto the Lord; some are unto the flesh. I have often told my children in the faith that they should be mindful of the type of songs they sing in the name of praise or worship. Some of these songs are from the pit of hell, coated in Christian lyrics. Any song, dance, drama or general work of art that promotes promiscuity is abominable in the sight of God and will do the opposite of genuine songs of praise and worship. Our songs should come from a pure heart; its presentation should also be void of pride and ulterior motive. It is unfortunate that some so-called songs of praise and worship are the importation of songs from idol worship. They are melodious, so we embrace them without knowing the implication. From today, let us allow the Holy Spirit to give us songs that the Trinity will appreciate, and let us sing to the beauty of God’s holiness for irreversible victory over our adversaries.
As if by the Spirit, he comes in again with today's Open Heavens' devotional

Another lesson we must learn from this story is that our praise and worship must be Holy Spirit inspired; it must not be offered from our carnal man. The way we sometimes sing God’s praise confirms that these songs are carnally motivated: not seasoned with grace. It would have been acceptable if we were singing it to praise men like secular musicians do. Unfortunately, the One we claim to be praising is a spirit; He knows everything.
Enough said, thread unfollowed, and without apology.

So, now, the 'frivolities' is subjected to the youthful? How many GOs are youthful and athletic as David was when he danced that dance?
So, i thought to be nice enough to also give Gombs a last reply on this as i have done for my other friend(at least for this while).
You said "When the spirit takes over you", you did not exempt any ages like that of Gos, Jesus, Jeremiah, Elijah,Peter, Paul,Moses etc. BTW, i've known many of the popular GOs and unknown GOs, Bishops and Pastors for a loooooooooong time. Still, i have hardly seen them dance with this reckless abandon that you speak. Your initial criteria for this dance was 'the spirit', now it is age, very well.

How dare you! You're rushing into the error of Lot - seeing by the flesh. Bible says we should know no man after the flesh. As David danced, how many demons did he cast... And other vituperation of yours above?
Oh oh, now i should be afraid.

These guys did 'crazier' things when fill with the Spirit, David's case was expressed with dance. For example, Jesus just like that o... Started screaming out a message... Peter? The same guy who betrayed Jesus, go read what the Spirit did with him, Paul? Elijah? These all had their own manifestation.
What can be crazier than dancing with reckless abandon? Isn't that what you said happens when the spirit takes over you? i have mentioned people who the Holy Spirit must have taken over, none of them was said to be moved to dance with reckless abandon BECAUSE the spirit took over. David's dance was not attributed to any spirit of any kind, you can please show us if otherwise.

Yet, God was angry with David's wife... Remind me why? Remind me what David's answer to her was!
No scipture suggests that David's dance was BECAUSE of any spirit taking over, you are rehashing the thoughts of a popular chorus not scripture.

You need renew your mind o...

Lustful dance! What is Lustful about Shakiti Bobo, skelewu, shoki, alanta, etc? Because they were used in secular music videos.

When we brought cultural dance into dance to the Lord, you seemed to see nothing wrong with it, to you, it was moderate... Have you seen the ijaw female dance? Or that of the efiks? The way they shake it, you'd not believe... But for some reason you don't term these dance Lustful, because it wasn't used in clubs and prostitutes don't use them.

Ok, can you give me example of non Lustful dance we can use? A video perhaps?
Everybody needs a renewing of the mind.
Phi 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

So he spoke and continents came to being, sprawling with wildlife, rivers, the landscape was awesome. He had chosen the 3rd planet from the sun, apparently the billions of others were. just a showcase for his infinite design capabilities.

And he looked upon everything he had made and marvelled at his brilliance. Amazing. Mosquitoes and flies, rats and bats all living in peaceful harmony. It was good indeed.

But then, the boredom set in again. Millions of species yet none could acknowledge his brilliance. None could see and appreciate his work like he did.

And so he made his first mistake.

Man.
This is yet another round of misinformation not found in the Bible or alluded to. God did not create man or earth out of boredom. Also there are millions and millions of angels in Heaven and the heavenlies giving praise and glory to God, and "appreciating His work". Also, if you refer to disobeying God or displeasing God as a mistake, well it wasn't a first. Angels did that long before man was created. e.g satan.
Jud 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

You obviously do not know the Bible enough to make these conclusions, apparently you have made mistakes in your conclusions and ideas about God. God made man virtually to replace satan on earth, not boredom or mistake. That apparently got satan mad, because man is a little lower than angels and yet set to replace mr. Beautiful.
Psa 8:5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor.

Do you even check your figures before bandying them about? see all the figures in bold. what do they mean to you?

also what is there to manage in a very poorly planned budget? a budget predicated on $75/barrel which NASS forced down to $53/barrel yet we sold oil for more than half the year below $50/barrel or you don't know what the price of oil was in December? This is a budget where oil revenue was expected to account for over 60% of income.

How do you balance such a budget? Do you know the deficit that we ran based on that alone?

I don't read Aribisala on issues like this. The man is more emotional than sense. He should just stick to his penchant for denigrating apostle Paul and leave politics and the economy for those who really know. I'll listen to Utomi, Rewane etc everyday before this eccentric pastor.

In the beginning was God.

And he got bored because the world was void. God knew not how he came. He had always existed. He is, was and is.

He couldn't die, so he couldn't be said to be alive. He was. He just was.

At some point, a thought came into his head. Now one can't say where this thought came from. Or if this thought gave him a sense of purpose. But it was a good thought.

So he spoke. And there was light. And with that light, he saw lots of darkness. And space, lots of space. The kind of space that will put a smile on an Ikwerre man's face.

So off to work he set. A planet here and a planet there. The world was his creative playground. All he had to do was speak and it became. The original talk and do.
Most of your presumptions and assumptions are wrong and a product of half-baked Bible knowledge. Your theology is evidently wrong, skewed and flawed. That implies that eveerything else, especailly your conclusion about God may be wrong. Read along.
The beginning referred to here is the beginning of earth, man's earth. not of God or Heaven or angels. God has no beginning, He is the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. After the beginning, the earth BECAME without form and void. The word "was" used in verse 2 is haw-yaw better translated as BECAME. And the earth became without form, and void. This point is a little bit important as it helps you understand/appreciate better that the earth was not created 5literal days before man. The earth was created in the beginning, then at some time it BECAME without form and void. The '1st day' is from verse 3. So what happened, why did the earth become without form and void? Judgement happened, satan happened. There used to be an angel Lucifer controlling earth possibly among others, he used to live and reign in Eden. This is corroborated by other passages like the below.
Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Eze 28:3 Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:
Eze 28:6 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;
Eze 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
Eze 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Eze 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
Eze 28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
Eze 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
Eze 28:18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffic; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

What indictment? That the previous administration borrowed money and left about 1.5billion into the TSA and Buhari toured the world with nothing right?

From May till December, Buhari had been in possession of all the budgets made for 2015 and he had mismanaged them.... He resumed May and extracted unplan levy to revamped Aso Villa and now, he's making another budget for it.

Secondly... The FG was able to close budget with about $3.2trilion.. How did Buhari meet N1.5Billion and close with $3.2trilion? And upon this, he borrowed more $2.3tirllion for capital projects... What're the long term investment that Buhari is meaning to spend high budgets for? Oh I forgot, discovery of oil from north. #Silly!

There you go, that's the indictment. Now stop quoting silly and baseless figures and come back with facts.

Luk 2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Luk 2:14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Rev 5:11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
Rev 5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.

Isa 6:2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
Isa 6:3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

I'm so awed at this submission.

When the spirit takes over you... You'd dance with reckless abandon...to your father, not to the admiration, support or opposition of men.

David danced... Bible said like a mad man, what form of reverence were you even talking about?

You, from the above writ about angels, makes me certain you have no idea about them, their operations.. Neither have you seen one.

When the Bible says angels REJOICE before the Father when a soul is won... What did you think Jesus meant? The angels will all stand, and probably bow and then shout with joy (all in reverence) ... That's all?

No, sir... They dance... In fact they do better owambe!

Luke 15 Msg
The Story of the Lost Coin

8-10"Or imagine a woman who has ten coins and loses one. Won't she light a lamp and scour the house, looking in every nook and cranny until she finds it? And when she finds it you can be sure she'll call her friends and neighbors: 'Celebrate with me! I found my lost coin!' Count on it—that's the kind of party God's angels throw every time one lost soul turns to God."
i'm guessing most of our GOs, Bishops, Pastors etc do not have enough of the spirit then. i hardly see them dance with this reckless abandon that you speak. Those that do so are usually some youths, or some attention seeking fella, who have worked liitle or no known miracle, cast out no demon, have no victory in their personal life over anger, prayerlessness, lack of Bible study, money management etc. Just my observations, hope i'm not harsh. i hardly see any other Bible character involved in this reckless abandon, perhaps they do not have enough of the spirit like we posit; Jesus, Peter, Paul, Elijah, Jeremiah, Moses etc. i do not really need to lecture you on what really and usually happens when the real Spirit takes over. No scipture suggests that David's dance was BECAUSE of any spirit taking over, you are rehashing the thoughts of a popular chorus not scripture.
i've never seen an angel i guess, at least not a dancing one smiley smiley smiley i've seen precious things though. But the people who claimed to have seen angels in the Bible do not speak of them dancing FRIVOLOUSLY. Being happy or joyful doesn't necessarily translate to the extremes i refer to. These lustful dances that are for only prostitutes and club houses. Again moderation is key.

Excellent bro. But one can also disregard one too many aspects of Christianity since it is all about faith that pleases God. One may shun fellowship, prayer, fasting, witnessing because it is all about faith and so forth. And if I may mention it, even faith that moves mountains without love is in vain.
Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
i think it is unfair to compare dancing as on the same scale of relevance as fellowship, prayer, fasting and witnessing.

In the light of such clear testimony of scriptures about dancing, from Exodus to Psalms, I'd be very interested in their reasons for not dancing.

And exactly how is what scripture 'lamely twisted'? Do you mind giving refreshing us with the untwisted interpretation?

PS
I'm having a ball reading a not-so subtle censure of dancing from a supposedly neutral or indifferent arbiter
Interesting, the assertion that is. The 'lamely twisted verse' was generic.

Yes David fell into adultery. Does that subtract nothing from the fact that an entire chapter is dedicated to his dancing and celebrating before the Lord?
How is it hyped?
Did David err in any way by your estimation?
Whatever amounts to 'vain lifestyles' to you, what is wrong with dancing before the Lord?
Okay, so i will be nice and answer all the posts before this my post, after that i have not much to say, i have other pressing issues and clients to attend to than to spend so much time on nothing much. i have clearly said that there is nothing wrong with dancing just like there is nothing wrong with sex. And for the records if i have not already said it, i dance and i enjoy dancing. What i speak against is the misuse and abuse of the dance, the introduction and addition of all sort of frivolity and worldliness in the name of "David danced". The subject is easily a thing of discernment than long epistles cleverly written, yet another reason not to waste my time too much. cheesy cheesy If you don't get it, well you don't get it sorry. i believe you got something more important. There is nothing wrong with dancing before God. What is observable is sinners and unserious/carnal christians being careless and flippant and then taking Bible verses like these to justify their carnality, frivolity and lasciviousness. You never hear grammar oh. Dancing some worldly "baby your booty" in church is not liberty or dancing like King David. These is what many people do in the name of dancing like David danced. These same people will not give like David gave, or think like he thought, or live like he lived, in courage, faith, trust, penitence, reverence, meditation, patience, kindness etc

You are not against dancing? Cool. Do you dance before the Lord? If you do, briefly distinguish your dancing from 'all the frivolities that go on today'. And if you don't dance, briefly explain why you won't indulge in something you are not against

I'm yet to see anywhere God disapproved of David's dancing. You may want to quote it. How does God approve of it? First, He never stopped David. Secondly, his detractor wife was cursed with barrenness. She probably had studied and mastered your vocabularies of 'frivolities', 'moderation','sobriety' bla de bla and went a step further and rebuked David.

You obviously wish there was no record of this, don't you?
It does not matter how many times it is quoted as long as it is NEVER misquoted. Do you have a particular frequency verses should be quoted before they become 'paralytic and parasitic'?

You are a professional at making up strawmen. Nobody has claimed that he danced his way to that position. What is clear to us for an example is the lifestyle of the man after God's heart; he was a dancer who cared the least about decorum when it comes to worship. David danced vigorously and he wrote about dancing in Psalms. What else do you want before you can get off your sanctimonious rear and dance before the Lord? An inspired dance video from biblical times? cheesy
The number one thing you said i should meditate on was that God approved David's dance, i asked that you please show me where specifically. here you were asking questions but in your later posts, you simply made unfounded assertions about me, what happened? You couldn't wait or didn't want to wait for answers? You'd rather believe what you want about me, you see, that's one reason you're allowed to believe what you want about the topic as well. There was no straw man, We are not told that he danced his way to that point/position. We can only assume so. That is a fact.

Vigorous enough to be noticed by his wife
Let me be nice. Give me a single reason why you won't dance because I know you don't
i don't recall David's wife accusing him of his dancing, it was more about his dressing that she had issues.
Politics › Re: Reply To Interrogating The Budget Of Buharinomics, By Femi Aribisala by Image123(op): 11:18pm On Jan 10, 2016
If you were of the view that the president has spent too much of his honeymoon period gallivanting abroad this year, think again. N1.4 billion has been allocated for his travel expenses in 2016; N470 million more than that of Jonathan in 2015. The maintenance of the 10 aircraft presidential fleet that the president attacked as wasteful when he was asking Nigerians for our votes will cost N3.6 billion in 2016. N764 million is budgeted for the construction of recreational facilities just for Mr. President.

The same lavishness is also proposed for the vice-president. Not to be left out, the National Assembly will cost us nothing less than N115 billion. These are the kinds of changes the APC has in store for Nigeria in fiscal 2016.
Most of these are more lies, kindly wait for the budget to come out before all these unfounded speculation and gimmick.

Voodoo Buharinomics

Where is the money for all the extra expenditures in 2016 supposed to come from given the sharp reduction in our income? There is a lot of talk about squeezing more money out of taxation, creating greater efficiencies in the MDAs, and generating more income from agriculture and solid minerals. But it is just talk.

Only N29 billion is devoted to the Ministry of Agriculture, while more money, N39 billion, is earmarked for Ministry of Information and Culture. But of course, Lai Mohammed has already told us he plans to have one cultural festival a day, 365 days in 2016; although he has already missed a few days.
Another set of lies and half-truths from a so called christain and man of God. capital expenditure for ministry of agriculture is 47billion while Information &Culture is about 6billion, these are the real monies for work/change. The half truth quoted is recurrent expenditure, these are largely monies like salaries paid to workers from two ministries merged to one. This shows more the folly of the past governments in employing so many unnecessary people doing virtually nothing into these ministries. If the FG sacks them, it is still chief wailers like these that will complain first. If the FG reduces their salaries and allowances, it is wailers that will complain most and the others like the State governments will follow suit, they are already threatening with minimum wage reduction in their states.

Principally, the government has decided to go a-borrowing. It proposes to borrow N1.88 trillion in 2016; 30.9 percent of the total budget; N1 trillion more than was borrowed in 2015. This is where the whole thing gets even more ludicrous.

When the APC came to power, the first thing it attacked was Nigeria’s debt-profile under the previous Jonathan administration. Vice-President Osinbajo complained that: “Our economy is currently in perhaps its worst moment in history. Local and international debt stands at $60 billion.”

The APC answer to this predicament is now to borrow more in 2016 than we did in 2015. Osinbajo complained that our debt-servicing bill in 2015 was N953 billion. How then are we to understand the APC decision to increase that debt-servicing bill to N1.8 trillion in 2016; an increase of nearly 100 percent. Osinbajo complained that our debt-servicing bill was 21 percent of the budget under Jonathan in 2015. But now Under Buhari, 30.9 percent of the total federal budget in 2016 is going to be financed by debt.

Suddenly, the same government that complained it inherited a huge burden of debt from the PDP now argues that Nigeria is under-borrowed. That is the new truth now being dished out by government spin-doctors. Kemi Adeosun, the new Finance Minister, now says Nigeria’s debt to GDP ratio is low at 12 percent. She compares this conveniently to Angola (57 percent) and South Africa (48 percent).

In which case, our indebtedness is no longer an albatross. Since the APC has replaced the PDP at the centre, we can now borrow as much as we like. This is all well and good. Except that it is exactly how we got into the debt predicament of the 1980s and 1990s. It means in 2016, we will spend N4 billion every day on debt-servicing.
These is a set of silly rants, we clearly do not have money. That certainly means that we have to borrow even though we do not want to. The past government borrowed even when they did not HAVE to. They borrowed in the midst of plenty, they borrowed to pay salaries and to feed on their greed, they borrowed to buy arms, they borrowed while oil sold for over $110 per barrel. that is the complaint, they borrowed when we should have been saving and left the country in huge debts and problems. For any meaningful change to occur, the present government has to initially borrow. And of course service the debts, i hope this man knows the meaning of debt servicing.

Productive debt

The government promises that, this time, it is only going to borrow for capital projects. But it cannot tell us precisely what these capital projects are. All we have are promissory notes that they will be for infrastructural projects like roads, rails and power supply. However, promissory notes from this APC government are no longer worth a dime.

In 2015, the federal budget was N4.5 trillion. Nevertheless, the government was able to gather as much as N1.5 billion into the TSA account. This represents money not spent from previous budgets. This should tell us that we did not even have the capacity to spend what we earned. Monies voted for recurrent expenditure gets gobbled up more or less. But capital projects are either ignored, uncompleted, or big chunks of the earmarked money are stolen.
This is an indictment on the previous government, thank God we voted them out.

What the government now proposes to do is to increase even that usually unspent money, without first fixing the underlying lack of capacity-utilisation. Since the government actually has no structural anti-corruption policy, beyond declaring its enemies guilty without trial, all that might happen here is that we are simply making more money available for graft.
You must have heard of zero budgeting, read up on it.

Then there is the brilliant idea of employing 500,000 graduates as teachers in the rural areas. Quite apart from the difficulty of assembling and equipping these graduates, the cost of the project is prohibitive. A modest 50,000 monthly wage bill will come to N300 billion per annum, while the total amount allocated for education is N369 billion.

My conclusion is simple. The APC won the election in the wrong country. The government should be shipped elsewhere; perhaps to France.

http://blogs.premiumtimesng.com/?p=170314
Wailers must wail. See someone wailing about plan to employ half a million graduates. these are the same set that will complain with the other side of their brain/mouth that the APC has not employed millions of graduate annually. There is no difficulty in assembling or equipping job seekers. Bring out the vacancy and watch them assemble. Just fix logistics and planning, that's all. There is a special interventions funds budgeted for these kind of projects BTW about 600billion naira or so. And BTW, i am sure the government will not be paying salaries for these people from January. The programme may like start around the middle of the year with training and prunning and then they perhaps resume work around september, starting a new session. No need to jump the gun and be all pessimistic. Nigeria can be great but we need less of foolish criticisms and more of constructive and sincere criticism and encouragement where needs be. The way things are going with the so called opposition makes one afraid for Nigeria. because the opposition is so plain silly and ridiculous, and that will backfire badly/terribly if they are wrong. What will happen then is a literal worship of the current FG, mass hype, sycophancy and a tendency for the dreaded third or everlasting term for our only 'messiah'. The PDP and co should kindly get their acts together so that we avoid this.

If there is anybody I can vouch for in Buhari’s Cabinet, it is Senator Udoma Udo Udoma. I have known him, and his best friend Keem Bello Osagie, for 30 years. All three of us are graduates of Oxford University, England, although I was there before him and Keem. Udoma is as sharp as a razor; he is one of the most intelligent people I know. Better still, he is a man of unimpeachable integrity. Udoma cannot be bought. He has a very successful law practice; the last thing he would do is fiddle with public funds.

Udoma was a two-term Senator of the Federal Republic, where he distinguished himself representing Akwa Ibom. His people would always remember him as the man who ensured that Akwa Ibom now receives one of the biggest, if not the biggest, share of oil money from the federal government. While many of his Senate colleagues pocketed N50 million bribes to support Obasanjo’s dastardly third-term bid, including those who nevertheless voted against it; Udoma rejected the bribe and joined the campaign against the scheme.

Thereafter, he knew even his re-nomination as PDP Senate-candidate from Akwa Ibom would be blocked. So he quietly bid the Senate and politics goodbye. But righteousness will always exalt a man. Udoma was sought after by blue-chip companies. He re-surfaced as Chairman of UAC and a Director of Unilever. He also became in 2010 chairman of the Governing Board of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
This comedian Aribisala should go and sit down, or maybe cool off in detention or something. All he managed to tell us here is that he also went to Oxford. All the other flattery of Udoma is not selling. It is contradictory to what follows next. Udoma is smart, sharp, trusted, can't be bought but is in charge of all you are writing against. Senseless and caseless. An unintelligent way to absolve his so called friend of blame.

Planning in a hurry

On November 11, 2015, President Buhari appointed Udoma as Minister of Budget and Planning. Six weeks later, the president presented the 2016 budget to the National Assembly. This makes the budget an inevitable casualty of timing. A new Nigerian president is sworn in at the end of May in an election year. He is expected to have his cabinet in place by June. That would give a Minister of Budget and Planning six months to work on a budget.

However, when Buhari became president in the middle of an economic crisis, the first thing he did was to squander the first five months. In that time, anti-corruption propaganda became a substitute for policy. The economy nose-dived; going from bad to worse. Queried about the delay in choosing his cabinet, the president bad-mouthed anticipated ministers as “noise-makers.” When he finally succumbed to the Constitution by unfolding his Cabinet, the year had virtually come to an end.

Udoma is a man well-prepared for public office. However, in the short-term, he will have to defend as, a team-player minister, a budget unlikely to be his brainchild. Udoma could not have known he would be the Minister of Budget and Planning. But now he has to defend a budget he could not have planned. Frankly, there are a number of things in this budget that are indefensible.

In the medium-term, Udoma is in the unenviable position of being an economics minister to a president who clearly has very limited understanding of economics. Worse-still, he is minister to a president who castigates ministers as noise-makers. That indicates Buhari is not likely to be open to wise counsel. It would not surprise me if schemes like the ante-diluvian counter-trading are mooted again from Aso Rock sooner or later.
A round of foolish rant begins. If the President has not yet presented the appropriation bill, this fellow will be among the chief wailers complaining about slowness and ministers not hitting the ground running. It is not compulsory or in the constitution that ministers must be put in government June. What if the President himself was sworn in in November for instance, we must wait six months before the next year budget or there are no persons working in that ministry and office? Udoma is not complaining or resigning but this busy body is. Also, counter trading is not antediluvian. Countries all over the world are involved in counter trading. Even the past PDP government did some counter-trading. This man should focus on his seminary work and stop displaying his rustiness all the time.

Pretend Budget

The first thing that becomes noticeable in the 2016 budget is that it is a budget of pretension. Nigeria is still a monocultural economy. The oil, on which the lionshare of the nation’s income depends, has suffered a drastic decline in price in the international market. But the government has decided to pretend as if nothing has happened. No austerity whatsoever is entertained. As a matter of fact, in the name of stimulating the economy, the president has decided to present a budget that assumes Nigeria has suddenly become richer overnight, when in fact we have become poorer.
Actually, there is no pretense. Anybody that reads the appropriation bill document sent or listened to the President's speech will see that there was no mincing of words. There were comparison with the previous budgets, there was talk about us been in hard times and there is a lot of borrowing stated to be done. That is not a pretense of been rich. That is the reality we face. Anybody that uses his brain will realise that our economy needs money to be pumped into it to resuscitate. The oil is not expected or depended on for the lionshare of the nation's income again. Oil is just about 30% of the budget estimates for revenue.

This is a very neat trick. In 2015, the total federal budget was N4.45 trillion naira. In 2016, in the middle of an economic downturn, this has been increased dramatically to N6.08 trillion. The new 2016 budget is based on the price of oil being $38 a barrel, ignoring the fact that the price has already fallen below that to $36. Indeed, the IMF projects the price might fall even further in 2016 by $5 to $15; bringing it down to as low as $20. But the government is not prepared to contemplate that eventuality. How can the APC enjoy the trappings of power if, after so long in the political wilderness, its turn is now to be constrained by austerity?
30% of total budget is not a major constraint. The FG is planning to source 70% from other sources and means. The money from oil also factors on plugging leakages of corruption in the oil sector, pipeline vandalism, increase in production etc. It all balances even when the crude price drops. This is even better than the sham the harvard professor coordinating minister presented to us for 2015 budget. You can recall that she initially proposed at $78 per barrel. After different complaints, she came down to $65 per barrel and went about defending it talking about her having intelligence report. They also fixed at about N165 to a dollar after devaluing currency to 199naira to a dollar. Thanks to the Senate that finally approved a $53 per barrel budget, that is about $25 removed for her. Yet 2015 still saw us selling oil for way lower. The Harvard professor and other so called professionals budgeted at oil revenue to be 1.92trillion naira and non-oil to be 1.68trillion naira. So the generated revenue had about 53% expected from oil. Compare to Buhari's 2016 budget that expects about 36% from oil. Only a joker will not see the evident change and less dependence on oil.

Therefore, observe the following contradictions. In the middle of looming economic adversity, the government has decided to be even more profligate than the previous administration. For example, in 2014, the budget for Aso Rock was N12 billion. In 2015, President Jonathan judiciously reduced this to N6.6 billion. But in 2016, Buhari has raised this by 50 percent to N18 billion. One of the more ludicrous aspects of this is the N3.6 billion earmarked for the purchase of an unspecified number of BMW saloon cars!

Clearly, there will be no austerity in Aso Rock in 2016. As a matter of fact, it would appear that elephants will be on the menu for lunch. A whopping N1.75 billion has been budgeted for feeding in Aso Rock in 2016. Goodluck Jonathan was pilloried for spending N1 billion in 2011. He reduced this to N717 million in 2013; N542 million in 2014; and N530 million in 2015. But now Buhari has decided to increase this by more than 100 percent. N115 million is budgeted for foodstuffs and catering materials for President Buhari alone, an increase of over 64 percent above that of President Jonathan.
These are all mere speculation and beer parlor talk without proof. The appropriation bill is easy for anyone to download and verify. A so called pastor should not be lying unnecessarily. The presidency's non-debt recurrent expenditure is about 20billion while capital expenditure is about 19billion. Total recurrent was about 24billion in 2015.
