Your question really points at me i won't lie to you, i don't know how to cook much cos i have sisters and aunt surrounded by me so why would i go into the kitchen for them?
How about for YOU?

Every man should know how to take care of HIMSELF in every regard and that includes cooking. fast food can kill ya'

Hope you don't mind and you don' have to answer but, how old are you? or just the general age range? (not meant as an insult apologies if it seems like one).

Possibly because they grew up having sisters and mothers slaving away in the kitchen for them.  As for me, my son will know his way around the kitchen as soon as he is tall and old enough, I want him to be able to take care of his kitchen and not wait for anyone to do it for him. . . . . . . this is important to me!!!
They should always be prepared to fend for themselves in any case.

SIDE QUESTION

Directed mostly to Tosin

As boys are Nigerian men made to help out in the kitchen as the norm? even if they are the only son amongst plenty sisters?
RomanceRe: Can You Cook? by Imari(op): 10:38am On Mar 15, 2011
Tosinville:
89% of nigerian men can cook thats why don't a women who can't cook as their spouse.

Hey Roymary

Where you at mah! homie? your lady is where.
So many Nigerian men have their ladies back in the kitchen.

That's good to know.

I was under the impression that many Nigerian men don't know how to cook since I seen such an emphasis put on if the lady could cook.

***
roymary finally pulled him someone?   Nice to know, but unfortunate for the lady.
RomanceCan You Cook? by Imari(op): 10:15am On Mar 15, 2011
I have had this question asked of me by men many times since I've been here at NL.

So, now I ask it of the men here: Can you cook?

It came to mind that there are many instances when men should/could put on meals for their lady.

Like after having a baby, her birthday, Mothers' day (here in the U.S.,? if she's a mother and the kids are too young to cook),  breakfast in bed,  a home cooked surprise lunch together at work, a romantic (just because "I love you"wink dinner, etc.

For the ladies:

Do you find any of these or any other instances of your man cooking for you romantic?

Thank you all for any replies.
RomanceRe: Smokers: Would You Quit Smoking For Your Dreamboat? by Imari(f): 10:08pm On Mar 14, 2011
deal_ordea:
If the woman/man of your dreams was a non-smoker and couldn't tolerate the smoking, would you consider quitting for them?

A friend of mine would quit every time he got a new luuuuv interest, not by the girl's request, but just because he knew she would appreciate it. He's currently in his longest/happiest relationship and it looks like he's quit for good. Thoughts?

Non-smokers: If the man/lady of your dreams was a regular smoker, would you be able to cope? grin grin grin grin grin grin
Nope.

My cigarettes are my release, my pleasure and my addiction.

He will have to not be in the area in which I smoke as I would only have a place in which I smoke.

As for it being dangerous,  life is in general and anything can/will kill ya' even the water you drink.

I live while I am alive and can't do squat about my time and how to die.

Mrs.Chima:
Trust me nothing thin about my skin.  Improve your self esteem maybe you wouldn't have to go manliness shopping online.

Chin up, it is okay. Somebody gotta be suckered and unfortunately it was you.
I would rather "trust" your desperate need to make snide, off topic, long ago closed topic and plain old replies to my comments especially long after your making the statement of "let me conclude this". smiley

All it took was a flick of that chip and you jumped through my hoops at my will because as I said, you have a thin skin.

RomanceRe: Baby For Sale by Imari(f): 1:32am On Mar 10, 2011
Mrs.Chima:
Let me conclude this:

I got a chip on my shoulder because you repeated the same thing three times and then added something that I or anyone ever said.  Then get salty because I asked you what did you say that you didn't repeat three times and then added that if I haven't seen my baby, I will abort it if I am not ready for it but if I have my baby and seen my baby I will not sell it.

Uhmmm (doing  Rickey Smiley facial expression when he was talking to William Hung on American Idol)

Gotcha.  Moving right along.  I guess some things do have an expiration date.  Unfortunately.
I will make this as clear for you as I can since you OBVIOUSLY don't comprehend anything only what you imagine you do.

The religion viewpoint came from ME
YOUR chip is showing in the FACT that YOU don't know how to DIFFERENTIATE between MY WORDS and YOUR CHIP showing by making the statement that I WAS TRYING TO PUT WORDS IN YOUR MOUTH

Now, you continue to show your ignorance of that by once again mentioning that "not you nor anyone else said". When I long ago corrected you on who said what, whose words they were.

Your lame attempts to show that that chip does not reside with you are a bit pathetic to say the least.
RomanceRe: Baby For Sale by Imari(f): 1:04am On Mar 10, 2011
Mrs.Chima:
You repeated the same thing three times so what is it that I didn't get that you didn't say three times?

I have concurred that you believe that because you haven't seen a baby that makes it okay to abort it and if you seen the baby that makes it repulsive to sell it.  Was there something else you added before you went on a Religion Crusade?   undecided undecided undecided

LMAO@chip on my shoulder. Okay. Sure.
Save the back peddle.

You should really get a very clear understanding of what "my viewpoint" mean.

By doing so you would not in the future demonstrate that you really didn't understand me and that you do indeed have a chip on your shoulder.

Really, lose that chip it does you an injustice.
RomanceRe: Baby For Sale by Imari(f): 12:14am On Mar 10, 2011
Mrs.Chima:
Not one time I mentioned Christianity and even Muslims and Jewish believers think abortion or selling babies are wrong.  I said MORALLY WRONG not necessarily ethically wrong has nothing to do WITH CHRISTIANITY NOR RELIGION.  Please do not put words in my mouth.

If you feel that having abortion is the way to go and selling babies is wrong.  GOOD THAT YOUR BELIEF.  I am saying no WRONG IS GREATER OR LESSER than the other.

Got it now?
Slow your roll.

You jump hostile as though that counts for anything with me.

If you wasn't chip on your shoulder about my comments you would have shown that you recoginze and comprehend those words of mine in the parenthesis that show that I have no need to "put words in your mouth" when I am very capable of using my very own.

I fully "got you" when you said it the first time, on you that you don't ever get me.
I can see why, but that is all on YOU
RomanceRe: Baby For Sale by Imari(f): 11:56pm On Mar 09, 2011
Tosinville:
Hey imari
Hi, there  smiley

Mrs.Chima:
Selling babies and having abortions is morally wrong not exactly ethically wrong but morally wrong.  There is no such thing as a wrong that is "less" reprehensive than that.  A wrong is a wrong is a wrong.

You can slice it or dice it will still be an onion.
The only slice n dice going on here is what your are doing.

Of course you do realize that not all people have the same "moral" values?

Which I see most who want to "dictate" their values (my observation from a U.S. viewpoint)  upon others come from a Christian viewpoint and we all know or should know that not everyone is Christian or even religious.
Thus those who choose their way in their lives are somehow morally bankrupt or "wrong".

So YOUR "wrong" or MY "wrong" does not equate to everyone elses' that don't hold the same values or morals "wrong".

Less reprehensible is only relevant to the values you hold and not the judgment of others, it is something set in stone.
RomanceRe: Baby For Sale by Imari(f): 7:38pm On Mar 09, 2011
If you can have an abortion, you can sell the baby.

That's two separate issues.

A breathing baby that you've seen, held in your arms, etc. is not the same as a baby you abort sight unseen.

I could have an abortion for a host of different reasons it would probably bother me that I had to do that but "selling" any of my babies once they are born into this world is reprehensible for any reasons.
RomanceRe: How Come Ladies Don't Like Men Who Play Videogames? by Imari(f): 12:01am On Mar 09, 2011
Spare time, weekend or even with his girl is enough time for any man to spend being a gamer.

If he knows ALL the gaming secrets and is on level 101 shocked, then he is indeed childish & immature.

Mrs.Chima:
This question came up because there is a huge trend of parents or "baby pimps" selling babies and I was wondering if you ever met someone that sold their baby and you know about it would you have a child with that person or continue dating that person?
Imari:
As a woman I would NEVER consider a man who sold his child to feed himself.
If he was to sell himself (trick off) I could accept that.
Mrs.Chima:
This question is NOTHING compared to MOST OF THE questions asked on this site.
Well, I haven't been here that long so I will have to get use to "most of the questions asked" here.

So, from my perspective an in many aspects, it seems unusual.
RomanceRe: Baby For Sale by Imari(f): 7:21pm On Mar 08, 2011
It's an unusual question

What is your thoughts on the subject?

For me, Never

I don't know how things work out in Nigeria but if I had to turn every trick in imagination to feed my child (I would eat limited) I would bed all comers.

The monies or food will only last so long anyway.

You (the parent) have no idea if that child would be taken care of and not abused by the people you sold them too.

As a woman I would NEVER consider a man who sold his child to feed himself.
If he was to sell himself (trick off) I could accept that.
