There’s nothing wrong with your friend but poor planning and execution of plans.

Your friend has always being in a hurry, and over ambitious. He didn’t let time and patience mould him into a capable man which is why he jumps into any seemingly promising opportunity without first building from bottom up.

If he had stocked to one thing, patiently but diligently done that for 5 years, he would have past this stage.
If he had perhaps learnt a trade or skill, if he had sort help with customising his CV for each job search and not randomly using same CV for every application, he might have landed a job. If he had asked friends like you for referral to a vacancy, perhaps someone would have given him a job. He could have even volunteered to work for free in any job he needed experience on to better his employment prospects.

Obviously he ventured into things he had little or no experience and guidance on, burning his fingers and loosing both time and money.

Even so, all hope is not lost if he has character and not ashamed to start anew but now with experience. He should keep a low head, stay humble, stay honest, never maltreat his wife, don’t venture into illegalities, go slow but steady and between 12-24 months he can be on the path of recovery.

It might not be a miracle but with prayer and working towards his prayers, he will overcome.

Repealed law or not, Nnamdi Kalu and his supporters never envisioned a day will come when he will held to account before the judges he consider lesser humans.

He was set free by bail under well spelt out conditions which included limiting the number of people he held an assembly with. Nnamdi Kalu in contempt of court held rallies, traveled the length and breadth of the East, preached civil and armed rebellion and even operated an army of his own - things he won’t tolerate for a day as Supreme Leader.

When the government came for him, unlike Jesus who surrendered to the government, Nnamdi Kalu sent his poorly trained foot soldiers to confront the government, sacrificing their lives for his own a escape - very typical of a coward lion.

Upon his disguised escape he continued from overseas to coordinate his group, issuing death orders and canvassing funds for arming his forces, only to be recaptured in a purportedly arms exchange meeting.

If only the people who keep shouting about the unfairness of repentance in the north and repression in the east, could just read your words.

Expecting justice to take its course with Kanu does NOT mean that one supports allowing northern terrorists to "repent" and avoid justice.

Maybe, now that there has been a major shake-up in the Nigerian military, the era of "repentant" terrorists will be replaced with true justice.

The accused has no right to accuse others and insist he shouldn’t be tried because other criminals who are guilty are escaping justice.

The wheels of justice are very slow in Nigeria and sometimes never come, but whoever is unfortunate enough to be held should be tried conclusively without prejudice.
