Something wrong with your consciousness

She was forced to resigned after much resistance

If you feel YOU are not civilised that is your personal problem
When did she show the resistance?

Did she wait to be dragged to court by the opposition?

Did she employ SANs to defend her and help her turn black to white or save her ass with legal technicalities as is shamelessly done in the shithole you come from?

What resistance are you talking about?

If you think leaders or prominent people live on past reputation alone then you don't understand life. Go and ask Will Smith on top of the world today and persona non Grata tomorrow for slapping Chris Rock publicly.

El Rufai is damaging himself with his extremist behaviour that is going far beyond the boundaries of opposition politics. Insulting PBAT personally, making veiled threats, calling people/political Party "evil" etc. Past good name does not endure if you rubbish it with current actions.

Whatever he was before, he will reduce himself to a character the political establishment will agree to ignore same as disgraced Will Smith, an A-lister previously, is now largely ignored by Hollywood directors.
He has done nothing compared to what APC did as opposition.
They insulted both the living and the dead.
Or you have conveniently forgotten?

The kind of politics practiced in Nigeria.

Between El-rufai and Ribadu who is bigger?

What has Ribadu accomplished in comparison with El-rufai?

Both have similar demeanour but Ribadu is still an up-coming in comparison with El-rufai.

It is delibrate. Nothing frustrates criminals than mental torture.
Criminals have rights, mental torture is against such rights and can make less of the crime of suspects. Plus suspects can sue their torturers and in turn get awarded lots of damages for time spent prosecuting them.

So Nigeria is non-the-wiser torturing criminals instead of prosecuting them!

Ekpa is IPOB.

Denying him is no use .

His victims know he is the Prime Minister of IPOB.

Ekpa might have issues with IPOB but he is the first disciple of Nnamdi Kalu and operated with his blessings and knowledge.

Nnamdi Kalu would have since settled down to prison life, serving his life sentence if the country has a working judiciary.

Because Nigerian legal system is as slow as a snail, a criminal and terrorist Nnamdi Kalu now calls himself a prisoner of conscience.

Someone that deserves nothing less than a life sentence!

You are so very shameless and a disgrace really.
When was the Abuja - Kaduna rail tracks commissioned?
Very recent.
How is the derailment in your news video related to this catastrophic accident in Nigeria?
And how’s it normal for you to prefer competing in failures?

What was the emergency response and care given to the passengers of that failed train, how many hours weee they stranded in the middle of no where at the mercy of the elements and criminals?

Trains derail everywhere for known reasons of wrong routing or what we call Points failures but in Nigeria they derail because of corruption.

By the way, I just finished working trains, so I got time.

The truth? You have a point. And I concede to the point you're making.

But, your point is only valid when you look at things from a bird's eye view perspective. I am also trying to balance it with a worm's eye view perspective.

In a country where most of the systems are working; police, cctv, social security number for authentic identity, then, one system collapse is prevented because the other parts can sustain it.

But if most of the systems are in comatose, trying to bulk up just the railway system, in terms of infrastructure, compliance to standards, maintenance is not rational.

You can do your best and someone comes in the night to steal something critical and get away with it because the police system, which is not part of your own working system ooo, is not effective.

I used to design business systems for companies and I can tell you that there are just too many parts missing in the jigsaw puzzle needed to make Nigeria work.

But, once again, I agree to what you said, but only if Nigeria was already a working system that had one piece (Railway) of the puzzle missing or deformed.
You have said it all. There’s nothing more to add.
Maybe some day some how things will work and operate better in Nigeria
Maybe someday the citizens will realise that for a country to work they must collectively play their part.

TheBizGenius:
Ooohhh no. You don't get off that easy.

It's so unfair that you used your mechanical engineering background as the basis of this comment.

If Nigeria tries to fence the train tracks with concrete that runs through forests, be very sure the people living in those forests will break it during the night to pass to the other side.

If Nigeria tries to use barbed wire to fence from Lagos to Kaduna, the iron condemn guys will gut the whole fence away in one night and leave a "Thank you forever" note behind.

The issue is that as a project manager, would you suggest this solution to the Nigerian government knowing the Nigerian citizens?

PS
I have a first degree in mechanical engineering too.
You made me laugh so hard.

But let’s get serious. Lots of folks here blame vandalism for this accident but to honest that’s a very lame excuse.

Before we blame vandals, what has been done and is being done to prevent vandalism to railway lines?

How regular does the railway cooperation inspect tracks? There are even technologies that help indicate when a track loop is broken or open?

Why do we operate un-signalled railway in 2025?

Even after the accident, how ready was the railway cooperation to respond to emergencies?

You spend billions of dollars to build an infrastructure but want to save money protecting the infrastructure simply because politicians in Nigeria don’t commute on trains like their European counterparts do.

Blaming vandals is not enough, we must first put the blame on the regulators who themselves failed to factor in all preambles.

CaptainFM1:
See comparing Nigeria with England is like comparing heaven and earth. One of our major problems here is bad citizens. The tracks were properly laid to the best standard in the world but scavengers goes about stealing rail nuts and bolts are the problems.

You don't have such scavengers in England.

How many road manhole covers have you heard missing in England?
You are right about English railway, among the best in terms of durability of infrastructure and just so you know, Britain invented the railway and has continuously operated it for 200 years now.

That said, there are vandals in British railways but the system is so robust that these vandals cause minimal disruption.

One way to deter vandals as done in England is that all rail tracks are fenced and barricaded from the point of construction, not like Nigeria where there’s unhindered access to railway tracks.

So it’s about our country’s poor regard for safety of lives and property. That’s why we just build for glorification and not for service to humans as humans.

As a mechanical engineering graduate myself, I feel shame that our engineers fail the society by delivering projects with poor safety standards.

TravelRe: A Passenger On The Derailed Abuja-Kaduna Train Thanks God, Shares Photos by Immatex(m): 7:15pm On Aug 26, 2025
Very obvious that poor state of track infrastructure was the cause of this avoidable accident.

The running rails has very little ballast to hold the sleepers.

The Cess is heavily eroded and there are no embankments to protect the tracks from landslides and earth movements.

Train was also not travelling at the appropriate speed for the track conditions.

Total absence of signalling on this tracks.

Gosh, I work as a competent train conductor in England and what I see here is abhorrent and repulsive. We build in Nigeria for an opportunity to loot not for the love of country or citizens otherwise why do we always refuse to factor in safety in our building and operational activities?
TravelRe: Abuja-Kaduna train derailment: NSIB Launches Probe, confirms six injured by Immatex(m): 7:00pm On Aug 26, 2025
The cause of this derailment is very simple to determine.

From the pictures of the rail infrastructure before and after the accident, it’s easy to deduce that poor conditions of the rail infrastructure caused by a likely landslide or earth movement caused the derailment.

The pictures show that the running rails and the sleepers moved because the soil was weak and eroded perhaps by rainwaters.

The tracks had no protection by means of water channels and embankments and hence would be exposed to the effects of rainfalls and stagnant water which would erode the soil.

Additionally, with the infrastructure compromised largely due to poor engineering and environmental designs, the train itself is a very heavy machine weighing thousands of tonnes and derailed because the track couldn’t bear its weight.

It’s also evident that Nigeria Railway Cooperation is still very backward and rudimentary with regards to safety of tracks and track inspections.

Otherwise this track defects and poor engineering and environmental design inherent in the project execution process would not have happened.

Trains should be safer than roads but in Nigeria accidents happen because of negligence and corruption.

This investigation will make no difference.
