InyinyaAgbaOku:And if you unmask any of them as non-igbo it automatically makes the issue they raised to go away, you be ostrich? |
chinolization:As usual you fail to address a single issue raised by skeptics, is there any sense of honor in your DNA at all? Is your name worthy of defense? Take on any one of the questions and show it is affirmative in favour of Bro. Phillip ( as we are no longer sure he has a Ph.D) |
Truckpusher:You just missed the bus, you should be knocking yourself in the head and ask what you were thinking when your brother was in charge for 6 years and only 2 weeks after his departure you suddenly realize he left nothing enduring for you all except his family. rather than start knocking his head from behind to know why he is in that position, you all joined him in revelry and never knew it was already dawn. You all joined the court jesters to deceive him that he is the greatest and failed to tell him home truth of reality that he is as naked as his kinsmen until he ran the whole country aground. Continue to bask in the queer moment of fame, at least your brother too has been president. |
zleemshaddy:Na wah o, will you be so passionate about the Phillips'cause if he were not Igbo and happens to be Hausa or Igbira. You people have refused to address one single allegation that damages the reputation of Bro. Phillip but keep spamming the thread with websites where his face appears as if those sites and bodies cannot be wrong, or CNN, or Bill Clinton cannot make a mistake when a whole USA went to war on false intelligence dragging UK along. The issues that remain unaddressed are: - Did Bro.Phillip drag his school management to court or not? - What was the substance of the case as regards award of his Ph.D? - Did he win or lose the court case? - Does he claim to be a Ph.D holder? - Where did he obtain his doctorate and in what subject? - Is Gordon Bell prize the highest award in computing as claimed on his website? - How many peer reviewed publication does he have to his name? - Did he claim to have patents on website? - How many did he claim and how many are traceable to him from public records? - Where is he currently employed or is he self-employed? - What are his latest scientific breakthrough since the Gordon Bell prize? This has nothing to do with his name or his tribe or race, most of these questions are better answered in order to quiet the nay sayers than spamming the thread with citations that does not betray any rigorous research or reading between lines |
He actually ran away from the thread! ![]() |
barcanista:You are so fake, so Jonathan did so well that immediately after an unprecedented oil boom and large foreign exchange earning, the economy is left in a quandary, many states cannot pay salaries of workers, FG takes loans to pay its workers, No refinery is working, companies are downsizing and owing salaries, many SMEs are folding up or getting less business, banks and telecoms shut down due to energy crisis, while being corrupt gives you more swagger in his time. That is his legacy of level playing field, you sound just too hollow nowadays. |
Education[edit]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_Emeagwali When did Bro. Phillip obtain his Ph.D in order to be correctly referred to as Dr.? This question and the right answer has nothing to do with tribe, i really feel pained that i invested a lot of emotion promoting this man's 'achievements' as example to youths and spent a lot of time studying his website and purpoted inventions. We are really in need of true heros. |
anonimi:It is miseducated citizens like you that make the corrupt have a free reign in our land. Where in the world does refinery TAM run for 2 years, that is 24 whole months. How long do you think it takes to construct a new refinery? 5, 10 or 20 years? How long did it take to construct the Nigerian refineries in the first place that an informed citizen will base argument and justify gutter news that TAM takes 24 months. For information of savvy readers the generally accepted timeline for TAM is 20 - 60 days yes, DAYS. Let us not we willing tools in the hands of the corrupt cabals to rip us us to our poverty. http://www.ogj.com/articles/print/volume-107/issue-2/processing/italian-refiner-lowers-turnaround-maintenance-complexity-costs.html http://www.world-petroleum.org/docs/docs/petrofed2012/Presentation/Session%207/2_Jayanti%20Vadoda.pdf |
INTROVERT:Otedola is almost always in white Kaftan |
Na wah o, even countries like India with humongous population and producing little or no oil still subsidize diesel fuel for running public buses, farm machines and factories. And they are successful with it, what is in our gene that a common government policy cannot be implemented? Do we accept that we are hopelessly corrupt and bereft of management capability to run a policy used by almost all countries in the world in different sectors to achieve certain ends? Even US government the poster child for rabid capitalism provides subsidy for farmers in different ways |
poiZon:You are also free to go and roast or romance Assad with questions, your choice |
kernel504:Your definition of leadership is very poor if you are enamored by the shenanigans of Mugabe in Zimbabwe. Were even African countries like Botswana, Namibia and Mozambique not liberated from colonial powers? Which of their own founding fathers has constituted a millstone on the necks of citizens willing to drag everyone down along just to remain president? African mentality is why we remain the least achieving specie of the human race. See the way the Eastern Europeans clinically weaned themselves from communist rule, if it were Africans we'd be saddled with your type preaching respect the leaders, God installed leaders, touch then not, and other inanities. |
imhotep:Are you so dull, which power is she exercising in the running of the country? she is almost as useless as Nnmadi Azikiwe in the First republic |
Agwoden:I guess you will feel cool if Obasanjo, Jonathan or Buhari after been elected president decide they are the best thing since slice bread and refuse to hand over power again by claiming to be African leader. Will it make you a slave because you ask any of them to quit the office as at when due? Why will you recommend what you can't accept for Zimbabweans for crying out loud? |
naijainfogalery:Your write up reminds me of omissions that let Hitler become the monster he was because people that should speak up lacked the foresight and fortitude to talk when it mattered most. They went about appeasing Hitler and letting him grab whatever he wanted as far the powers that be, UK, France were not directly threatened. They even agreed with him to divide Czechoslovakia without the courtesy of even inviting the Checkz to attend the meeting and they called it the Munich agreement peace for our time in 1938. The result was war the following year. The truth is Hitler was sorely afraid of what the powers would do each time he made his probing, daring moves at land grabbing. The same way African leaders are sorely afraid of what the people would so they need moderates like you to soften and demotivate anyone from speaking up. Hitler had genuine admirers and supporters just as Mugabe has die-hard supporters and he has the mantra of liberator to the boot to continue to hoodwink people. As if colonial powers only ruled Africa, what of Asians who have since moved on and are transforming their society and building a working system not the caricature in Zimbabwe where nobody has any idea what happens after Mugabe. Can we honestly say he has with his long reign built a stable enduring system for his country or he has brought them full circle to the beginning point in 1980? Can he be classed in same category like other long reigning leaders like Yew of Singapore? If he had achieved a little of what happened in Singapore, without emasculating opposition and left at a reasonable time to allow the system he built play out before his eyes not when he is dead, who would begrudge him? Is it not obvious he has done everything including many foul means to remain in power? These are the reasons he doesn't deserve the kind of respect you mention here. And if Adeola fayehun is not passionate about African issues, you expect Amanpour to be the beacon of light and her methods the very best? As far as i know the Zimbabwean people did not bargain for absolute monarchy so comparing him with Queen Elizabeth by a previous poster is moot. |
pazienza:All the points you have listed is a no brainer though partly true. The thrust is state creation was timed to cut Ojukwu to size and i laugh at the feasibility of plebiscite at that time, the party with a stronger force will not yield to level ground with the weaker party in an unpredictable election |
slimghost:Na wah o so you are more concerned about journalism ethics than a tyrant not have free ride and not be regarded with awe. I think the whites learnt a bit of lesson with the free ride characters like Hitler to perpetuate evil. If the person of Mugabe should not concern us then we should be more concerned about the person of Adeola? How many lives is she responsible for compared to Mugabe? |
olabukola:She won't even do that with the King of Swaziland, why go that far to Saudi? I never knew they now conduct general elections to choose the Saudi king. Yes i know Mugabe "WON'' and Zimbabweans is very happy with the wonderful job in making them have the highest standard of living if not in the world at least Africa. Your type is the reason Africa is "blessed'' with Mobutu, Idi Amin, Zuma and the likes. |
Eziachi:You hit the nail on the head, the mentality diplayed by many here is the main reason thogs like Abacha, Mobutu, ruled Africans for a long time. They are the orders from above type of citizens, legality of such orders doesn't concern them. |

Since Tom Ikimi was unable to manage his electoral loss for APC chairmanship and made it an excuse to embrace a sinking party, it seems he was not even given any noteworthy role in PDP. Has anybody heard him congratulate APC for it's resounding victory at the polls? |
WombRaiders:The average Nigerian will hardly get your point as we have difficulty in strategic thinking and analytics. What many Nigerians don't realise is that contrary to thinking the devil is pushing them to set bomb, they only do it for psychological warfare as they claim responsibility in the name of their organisation. Each time they grab the headline in news report it is a sort of victory for them and they get it without paying a penny for advert slot. Try and get your own cause on national paper reports and see how much they will charge you. A simple reference to terrorism by certain groups in the North east would have suffice for the occasion. Now the organisation name has found permanent home in such an epoch making occasion for Nigeria. Same issue played when Obama refused to attach Islam to ISIL atrocities, but the truth is ISIL craves such attention and feel shortchanged when you don't mention Islamic in describing them. It will be a surprise if the average Nigerian understands this |
I don't take the Igbo hues and cries serious at all, as they are not organised in the real sense of it. They were very close to the GEJ administration and well favoured and yet never got any enduring policy to make their region more autonomous or win more powers. They have always been about more appointment for individuals than issues that will benefit them region wide. That's why they always angle for control of Secretary to the FG because they only think of the porridge of now not what happens afterwards. One would have excused them that under GEJ government they have low numbers in the Legislative arm so any attempt to reduce Federal power in favour of states might not pass. The National conference organised by GEJ would have been a great opportunity to harness their tghoughts and push through their agenda, but what did we see? The truth is they have no strategic agenda and many still romaticize about the failed Biafra approach once again. Igbo delegates voted against state police, regional structure, and any othersuggestion that would have given them the closest thing to independent Biafra. Why? maybe because those position aligned with the position of the Yoruba delegates so the feel obliged to naturally oppose it even if it will be in their own interest. They mostly voted to retain the current structure of Nigeria, then many of them come online to shout about the inevitability of Biafra, very unserious bunch. Watch as Tinubu and Yorubas will utilize the current position of things in Nigeria. You think Tinubu wants his man as speaker because he desires a share of the speaker allowance or National assembly contracts or appointment for his cronies? Not at all, he recognizes the long term impact of changing laws to suit the agenda for development of his region than appointment for the sake of it. Can anyone tell us the strategic advantage to Ibo of control of Senate presidency for 8 years under Obasanjo other than sense of belonging of being number 3 in Nigeria finish, and maybe influence a few appointment or employment for a few community people. Ibos need to start getting their acts together articulate waht they want and go for it, there too many cacophonous voices from across the Niger. |
hotmas911:I disagree sir with you on this, how much of American, British, German lands are owned by foreign nationals? Lets go to pseudo 3rd world nations how much of Brazilian, Indian, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malaysian lands are ceded to foreigners because they have no idea what to do with the wasting assets? How much will it cost us to develop capabilities necessary to multiply knowledge for increased agricultural outputs? How many acreage of Arabian oil assets are owned by Africans? Why should we be longing for Arabian oil money to be invested in Agriculture when we mismanage the one we get from same oil? Not everything we own should be saleable just because there is a huge demand for it. The Arabs became wealthy when they realized the importance of their oil to world economy and decided to make it sought after and valuable. What is wrong with the approach to control our land, train our farmers increase output and control food sale to the Arab lands, why should we hand over our lands to their control for money that will soon finish. Why should we share our potential wealth with them now that our land is about to become valuable when they have not shared their own wealth with us? I realise land sales is your business and you stand to make a killing with influx of foreign land grabbers, but i plead you see these from the angle am seeing it. I prefer you and any other national owns 1000's of acres and farm it than some indian, Arab or soever owning farms in my native Ogbomoso. There is nothing the Indian will do with the land that you don't have the capacity to also do if you try. More of the wealth you derive from that land will remain to the benefit of Nigerians including my friends and family. If they want to invest, finance industry and manufacturing is still open. |
midolian:A fitting name will be 'Okwonkwo' because he will be a stern ruler. No time for jollification |
Gerrard59:I am not blaming the foreigners one bit, it is us who lack foresight. No matter how much i make even if save $1 Billion i cannot own a square foot of land inside Abu Dhabi main city, they would soon be edged out if they allowed it. There is something a people must hold dear as comparative advantage, everything should not be for sale to anybody. Imagine what was going through the mind of our fellow Africans who sold their compatriots to Europeans whom they have no idea where they came from? Slavery was practiced in Africa before they came but took another dimension with the arrival of slave importers. |
Agwoden:And when the prosecution agencies do such a shoddy job the president too will siddon look and still sign their promotion papers and give some of them other juicy appointments, abi? Have you heard about any police or EFCC head sacked because they did poor investigations? Even the main suspect in Nyanya bombing that was purportedly extradited to face justice, extremely shoddy investigation was the reason the judge set him free, all the policemen and their bosses simply went back to their jobs to conduct the next worthless investigations. That is the situation created by an unconcerned, lame-duck presidency. Also remember the reason Bola Ige's murder remains unresolved is lack of diligent investigation. |
ichidodo:People like you like fraud and being deceived in monumental scale, Nigeria's true daily consumption of petrol is just over 29 million liters daily http://www.indexmundi.com/energy.aspx?country=ng&product=gasoline&graph=consumption at 159 liters in a barrel. One of the big lies them Dieziani told us is that our refineries even if working at 100% capacity cannot meet more that 50% of our needs. But nameplate capacity of the 4 refineries is 450,000 barrels per day, that is 71.5 million liters of crude oil per day. Some refineries with cracking by FCCU can yield up to 60% of the crude as petrol, but i will use conservative 45% yield from our own refineries which should give us 71,500,000 x 0.45 = 32,000,000 liters Considering 20% yield of Diesel we should also have 71,500,000 x 0.20 = 14,300,000 liters of Diesel All this is possible if we give the TAM of the refineries to competent hands like companies who built the plant not political jobbers. Any new refinery will only be as buffer and to take of growing demand and export. To account for any growth in demand ideally we should not be importing more than 10 - 15 % of our current consumption. There is no reason why we should not be monopolizing the West African fuel market by ensuring we refine the oil we cannot sell due to OPEC quota. ECOWAS agreement means we can export petrol duty-free and sell at a price differential that will keep American/European suppliers away and make the incentive to smuggle from Nigeria too low. With this, we can circumvent OPEC quota and the government can earn about twice what it can currently earn while creating hi-tech employment for Nigerians directly and spawn many industries based on the by-products of the refineries like petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, synthetic rubber and plastics. It is unfortunate the disastrous government we have had in the last 16 years has as many clueless supporters as the quoted poster. |
ichidodo:The demonstration was a wake up call to Jonathan to start governing the country rather than handover to cabals and untouchables, apparently he and people like you did not get the message. See where it has led him and his presidency, i know it is still painful but start thinking straight. We can as well disband the customs and allow smugglers a field day since we are finding it difficult to stem the tide of smuggled goods. I have never heard of a government abandon it's policy not because it cannot afford but because it is impotent or unwilling to enforce it. |
Orunto:False whatever you choose to pay is not 'tithe' to a true Christian. Even Jews no longer pay tithes, which one be Christian own? |
Abuamam:And will he dip hands in my pocket? |
pinkycute:Looks like a Hologram of Obama, as a patron of the initiative |

.. jeeezzz ymodulus you better change.
