Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to unleash a supersonic bomber towards Britain which can outrun the Royal Air Force’s fastest fighter jets.

The introduction of the Blackjack follows sorties by other Russian aircraft near Cornwall last month which disrupted commercial flights and sparked major security fears.

On that occasion, RAF pilots flying Typhoon jets easily caught up with two propeller-driven Bear bombers and directed their crews away from UK airspace.

The incident led to Russia’s ambassador to Britain being summoned to the Foreign Office to explain the mission.

But the Blackjack (Tu-160M) is three times faster than the Bear and can fly four times further than the fighters that make up Britain’s Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) squadrons, according to experts.

The bomber, also known as the White Swan because of its shape and huge wingspan, has just re-entered service in the Russian air force following a design overhaul.

Experts say it is now more than a match for any UK aircraft, including the Typhoon, which is used to protect British airspace.

But while the Russian aircraft has a range of 7,600 miles without refuelling, the Typhoon’s limit is 1,800 miles, meaning the Blackjack could maintain its maximum speed for much longer than its British counterpart without air-to-air refuelling.

Dr Igor Sutyagin, Senior Russian Research Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) in London, said: ‘The Tu-160M now has greater thrust and fuel efficiency and it can carry a larger payload of conventional missiles.

‘The test flights were successful and the aircraft is now very potent. There is simply no British aircraft of its calibre or purpose. It is the largest bomber in the world.’

The first two revamped Blackjacks passed a series of test flights last December and have now been passed for service.

They are being prepared for possible action at air bases in Russia that are within easy striking distance of Britain.

One, Monchegorsk air base near Murmansk, northern Russia, is just 1,000 miles from the British Isles.

Ten more Blackjacks will be modernised before 2020.

Dr Sutyagin added that the Blackjacks’ revamp was part of a plan by President Putin to boost both Russia’s arsenal of military hardware and its troop numbers.

It comes at a time of heightened tension between Russia and the West, and while Britain’s Armed Forces are shrinking due to spending cuts.

‘President Putin has prioritised areas of defence where he thinks he can be superior to the West,’ said Dr Sutyagin.

‘He has also improved his long-range nuclear missiles such as the Bulava, which is now very hard to detect on launch. It is lighter and more compact, too, so more warheads can be fitted into a submarine.

‘He has also committed to the T-50 low-visibility jet. This stealth jet could lead to potentially massive changes in the distribution of military power around the world.

‘He is doubling the number of his Special Forces troops, as well.’

A new Ministry of Defense (MoD) report circulating in the Kremlin today states that the Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief (MChS) has issued an order for all companies employers to prepare for nuclear war, while at the same time the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has slammed the US for flooding Europe with tanks and armored vehicles.

According to this report, the MChS issued their order on 16 March to companies and employers to immediately provide their workers with radiation suits and gas masks as part of the “war orders” issued by President Putin. and which we had previously reported on.

With these “war orders” being necessitated after the uncovering of a United Kingdom plot to launch a nuclear first-strike against the Federation this week, a situation made even graver after the arrest Tuesday (17 March) of US Navy Captain Heather E. Cole for her failing to, likewise, launch American nuclear weapons against Russia on Monday (16 March) this report continues, the Kremlin remains “alarmed” that no one seems to be in charge of the United States anymore.

Raising this “state of alarm” even higher, this report says, was that Federal Security Service (FSB) Director Alexander Bortnikov has still been unable to contact President Barack Obama whom he had just met during a private White House visit a few weeks ago in Washington D.C. wherein the American leader stated he may not be able to stop this war.

With massive combat operations now existing in all of the Federations 9 time zones, the MoD further states in this report, the General Staff has ordered the immediate deployment to combat status of tens-of-thousands more troops bringing the number to over 80,000 now preparing for war.

The MoD further confirms in this report that the Federations strategic nuclear bombers have been mobilized in Crimea and that Iskander nuclear missiles are now being deployed in the Kaliningrad region, which borders Poland and Lithuania, too.

Important to note, this MoD report says, are that the Federations military actions are solely in response to the aggressive war moves of the United States against Russia, which includes tomorrows start of the US Army’s 1,100 mile armored column journey along the western border, dubbed “Dragoon Ride”, comprised of American troops from the 2nd Cavalry Regiment and the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade (providing air support).

Equally important note, this report continues, is that the threat against the Federations northern border with Norway, where thousands of Norwegian troops continue their “Joint Viking” deployment of armored vehicles and artillery against Russia, continues with no end in sight.

Most ominously, however, MoD experts in this report say, was President Obama’s order this week to immediately deploy to Germany 800 tracked and wheeled vehicles, which when combined with the 220 Abrams main battle tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles the US has sent to Eastern Europe, the 120 Abrams battle tanks and armored vehicles sent to Latvia, and the hundreds of other tanks and armored vehicles stuffed into Norwegian caves for a US Marine Expeditionary Brigade (MEB)…all within the past 8 months…the addition of these estimated 1,400 “vehicles of war” to Europe by the Americans clearly show the deadly intentions of the West against Russia.

And to anyone doubting the intentions of the US in wanting to wage war against Russia, this report grimly reminds everyone, it was just 11 months ago that the Obama regime was trumpeting its removal from Europe of America’s last remaining battle tank on the continent, and as we can, in part, read as reported by the Stars and Stripes News Service on 19 April 2014:

“Amidst the still-ongoing crisis in Ukraine, the Obama administration is moving the last U.S. battle tanks from Germany and, thus, from Europe.

At the same time, the Pentagon also is disbanding two of the U.S. Army’s heavy brigades in Germany. Last year, the 170th Infantry out of Baumholder disbanded, while the 172nd Separate Infantry Brigade at Grafenwöhr is in the process of doing the same.

I have always had my doubts about hypnotism…especially the over recycled type always told by persons who fall victim to scam artists who usually promise quick money or riches. I still believe victims of this unfortunate scam fall under the weight of their own greed than any charm but what do I know.

Yesterday, I witnessed a mob almost torch 3 suspects somewhere in Trans-Amadi Port Harcourt, for scamming a young man of his fortune.

As usual many stories abound of what really happened. Some said the robbers pushed the young man out of the car after robbing him of his money, some said the young man after giving them his money regained his consciousness just as they dropped him off and he came after them screaming thieves. Anyways, I will state the story I saw.

There was traffic caused by a large truck trying to enter one of the industrial buildings in the layout. This particular golf car had 5 occupants including the driver. The car stopped and a young man came off from the back seat but instead of walking away, he ran back to the slow moving vehicle and held a guy in the front seat by the collar and was screaming ‘give me my money…thief’. As he continued to draw attention, the driver started panicking and sort a way to escape the slow traffic. Noticing the drama, a man in a jeep blocked the golf with the help of a tricycle. People came and pulled the guy out of the vehicle and after hearing the allegation made by the victim went ahead to grab hold of other passengers in the vehicle. One of the passengers in the back seat took off, while a lady and the driver was caught.

Trust mob na…while ‘general beatings’ was going on, several ‘pressing and squeezing’ was being carried out also. Soon shouts of ‘Unclad them’ rented the air and am sure your evil mind know why…smh. How striping them Unclad relates to this case is really hard to tell but our people say when one turns oneself to jellof rice, children will treat/eat it without respect. Anyways, a police man was handy to stop them from doing just that but not before shooting a few rounds/tear gas in the air to disperse the crowd. With time a police vehicle came and took them away…and you can feel the relief in the thieves because in the hands of the police their chances are really really good… wink

The former speaker of the House of Rep­resentatives, Dimeji Bankole may have lost out finally in his bid to contest the February 28 gov­ernorship election in Ogun, as the resuscitated Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the state yesterday publicly presented incumbent Senator Akin Odunsi as its flag bear­er in the forthcoming polls.

This is coming just as the SDP said it was targeting 500,000 out of the over one million votes of the eligible voters in the state in the forth­coming governorship election.

Speculations had been rife that Bankole, who along with eight other aggrieved aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state who had boycotted the December 8 governorship primary election of the PDP, and defected to the SDP, was being favoured to fly its flag in the forthcoming governorship polls.

Series of negotiations be­tween the SDP, led by former governor Olusegun Osoba and Bankole’s group was said to have recently broken down irretrievably when it dawned on the former speaker that the party’s leadership was not ready to concede its governor­ship ticket to him.

But with the public presen­tation of Odunsi as the SDP governorship standard bearer, the hope of the former speaker of the House of Representa­tives to contest the governor­ship poll in the state may have been dashed.

Presenting the SDP gov­ernorship candidate and his running mate, Prince Segun Adesegun, who is also the current deputy governor of the state to party supporters at the Ake Palace Grounds, Ake, Abeokuta, Osoba said Odunsi had met all the qualities that should be possessed by the next governor of the state.

Osoba said: “You told me you want a governor who is level-headed, is that not so? You told me you want a ma­ture governor, is that not so? You told me you want a governor who has extensive administrative experience, a governor who will share the benefits of democracy equal­ly in the entire Ogun State. You told me you want some­body who will be governor of Ogun State; not governor for friends and family members. You told me you want a gov­ernor who is deeply religious in the Islamic way. Is that not so? Have you seen all these qualities in the person of Senator Kamardeen Akin Odunsi or not?”

Ronaldo: former Brazil striker eyes comeback with US team

Former Brazil striker Ronaldo has pledged to get back in shape with a view to playing for US club Fort Lauderdale Strikers.

Ronaldo recently became a minority owner with the Strikers, who play in America's second-tier North American Soccer League (NASL).

"I will train a lot, and if the coach needs me, maybe [return to playing]," he told a news conference.

The 38-year-old last played with Brazilian club Corinthians in 2011.

"It's easy to get in shape - you have to train," three-time World Player of the Year Ronaldo added.

"To play a soccer game you have to be in very good shape so I will try.

"I'll start another challenge and I'm sure it will help the league and it will help the team and help soccer in America."

Ronaldo won the World Cup with Brazil in 1994 and 2002, finishing as top-scorer in the latter tournament with eight goals.

Even up till last month, Aliyu and Lamido were still promising the G5 governors of a showdown in the PDP. The hearts of men are indeed deceitful and desperately wicked. If you have to eat with the devil with a long spoon. For Aliyu, I would rather you don't eat with him at all. Better starve to death than eat with him. If I knew, I would have listened to Adams and remained in the PDP.

Emir of Kano is allegedly suicidal and battling clinical depression

The Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has been allegedly placed under suicide watch. It was gathered that shortly after he emerged the new Emir, June 8, 2014, of which some believed was a politically motivated appointment by the governor of Kano State, the former cbn governor began exhibiting symptoms of severe clinical depression.

The symptoms reportedly grew worse, a source who spoke with 24Ureport said. “He is suicidal. He is secretly being watched by his close aides”, said the source. The source who pointed out that the seat of Emir is highly spiritual/traditional stated that the current Emir may not have been the rightful heir to the throne.

“Not anyone can just mount the seat because he can or because he has political connections with the high ups” He also explained the customs of selecting a new Emir after the death of one.

The insider said, when an Emir rules for up to 50 years, his first son ascends the throne automatically after his death without contest. Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi whose grandfather, Muhammadu Sunusi was a former Emir of Kano did not rule up to 50 years. “Ado Bayero was Emir for over 50 years.

The elders and handlers of the stool were aware of the customs and were prepared to crown the son of Ado Bayero when the Governor of Kano intervened.” He added. The former cbn boss’ name was allegedly not enlisted among those recommended by the handlers of the traditional stool to the governor for crowning as Emir.

Another insider said that the silence of the other first class Emirs over the coronation of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as Emir of Kano was a sign not to be ignored. He stated that none of the Emirs sent congratulatory messages to the new occupant of the seat of Emir of Kano. Three anti-graft commissions are said to be tasked with the investigation.

The source explained that the uncanny silence on the part of the new Emir has to do with the new unearthed information on his financial activities while at the realm of activities at the cbn. One of the many damning information uncovered included the acquisition of an Islamic Bank – while still at the CBN top seat.

There are also unclear links discovered by security operatives to groups in Sudan suspected to be securing funds for violent Jihadist operations across the African continent. This remains unverified.

The jobless man wants to be relevant in the country's politics. He should probe himself before looking for who to probe. It also dispelled the rumour that it was planning to order for the arrest of the embattled minister.

Fugar (Edo) – The head of the Akhigbe family, Chief Joseph Akhigbe, on Tuesday confirmed the death of the former Chief of General Staff, Vice Admiral Mike Akigbe.

Joseph confirmed the death in their Fugar country home in Estako Central Local Government Area of Edo.

Yesterday same family of the former Chief of General Staff described as untrue, an online report that the former number two man died in a London hospital.

The elder brother Chief Joseph Akhigbe, said that the news about his death was shocking to the family because “it is not true and it is really embarrassing to us.

He said “My brother is stabilising in an American hospital and not even London as erroneously reported. As I speak to you now, the report in my opinion is pure speculation, the paper said he died in a London hospital but my brother is in an American hospital and he is stable

But toady Tuesday the story has changed same elder brother Chief Joseph Akhigbe said that “At about 1 a.m, Mike’s first son called me from the U.S. and said that his father, my brother, is dead,’’ he said.

He said that his brother’s son told him that Akhigbe’s remains were still in the U.S and that no arrangement had been made to bring it home.

The family head said that a condolence register had already been opened in the family’s compound in Fugar.

Sympathisers, including Mr Emmanuel Momoh, the Chairman of Etsako Central Local Government visited to condole with the family.

Momoh described Akhigbe’s death as “a big blow to Estako people and Nigeria in general’’.

Also the Nigerian Navy on Monday urged the public to disregard the story that Vice-Adm. Mike Akhigbe, a former Navy Chief of Staff, was dead.

In a statement, the Director of Navy Information, Commodore Kabir Aliyu, said the report in the media was misleading.

“The Naval Headquarters has made concerted efforts to authenticate the story with the admiral’s family in the U.S. and it was found out that the admiral is alive,’’ the statement said.

It noted that the report appeared on the front page of a national newspaper, adding:“ This shows that the reporter who filed the story did not cross-check his facts with the family before going to the press.

“The publication has, therefore, caused the Akhigbe family and Nigerians in general unnecessary embarrassment.’’

The statement advised journalists to authenticate their stories with relevant authorities, especially the death of prominent citizens, in the spirit of objective journalism.

Residents of Soka area, along Ire-Akari Estate, Ibadan, Oyo State, were shocked to hear that one of them, a popular shoe maker in the area, Mr Kazeem Bamidele, also known as Kazzy International Shoe Works, had been arrested with human parts.

Saturday Tribune learnt that Bamidele was arrested on Monday night in connection with the alleged murder of a Northerner, said to be an okada rider. The police, it was gathered, led him to his wooden shop on Friday morning and, according to sources, discovered fresh human head and legs of the victim where they were kept inside a bush behind his shop.
Sources further informed Saturday Tribune that Bamidele and his accomplice were busy perpetrating this criminal act on Sunday, around 1.00 a.m, when two vigilance members serving as security officers in the area became suspicious, and asked them why they stayed so late in the night.

According to sources, the vigilance group members saw two people around the bushy path in the area, one holding a knife while the other was holding a gun.

The two vigilance group members were said to have been surprised to see one of the two men aiming his gun at them. The vigilance group members then demanded to know what their mission was in that area at that time of the day.

A source told Saturday Tribune: “On that fateful day, some members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) who are also vigilance men in this area saw the man (Bamidele) with another man in the night. When the OPC men asked them what they were doing in the middle of the night, one of them who was holding a knife told them that he wanted to use it to cut coconut. His partner was holding a gun.

“We were told that the OPC men had to confront them that almost everybody living around the area knew them as security guys; that the suspects themselves could not deny that they knew them. After minutes of conversation, Bamidele and his partner could not hold it again, giving the OPC men opportunity to move close to them. That was what gave them the opportunity to look through where they discovered what they were doing.

“They saw a body of a human being whose head and arms had been cut off. They (Bamidele and accomplice) were still trying to cut something from the victim’s throat. The area was littered with blood, and at that point, the OPC men raised an alarm, arrested them and attempted to invite the police.”

Police sources confirmed the development and informed Saturday Tribune that the suspects were currently under interrogation.

When Saturday Tribune visited Sanyo Police Station, the case was said to have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Iyaganku, Ibadan. On getting to the SCID, it was discovered that the suspects were under interrogation, new discoveries having been made on the matter.

“The case is still under investigation, especially when new discoveries were made. There can’t be any comment on it now until the completion of the on-going investigation,” a police source said.

Meanwhile, some of the residents who spoke with the Saturday Tribune under condition of anonymity said nobody noticed that Bamidele was involved in such act. They said the story was like a rumour to them until Friday morning when some people suspected to be police officers came in company with the victim and fished out fresh human parts where they had been hidden in the bush behind his workshop.

One of them said, “Everybody believed it was a rumour until this morning (Friday) that we saw the fresh human head with the man. That means one must be very careful in this area.”

When Saturday Tribune visited Bamidele’s shop on Friday morning, one young man who refused to give his name, but was described as his (Bamidele’s) apprentice, was seen in the shop.

The Presidency has described former Head of State and presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.), as the major sponsor of the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram and a leading protagonist of violence. It said that apart from his ambition to rule the country again, Buhari had refused to contribute meaningfully to actions capable of ending insecurity in the country. Buhari, a National Leader of the CPC, had, on the Hausa service of the British Broadcasting Corporation on Monday, said that the Federal Government should be blamed for the lingering security challenges in the country. According to Punch Newspaper, Buhari also flayed the Goodluck Jonathan administration for what he called “poor handling of insurgency” that had led to the death of many Nigerians and destruction of properties. While reacting to this, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, said it was unfortunate that such a statement could emanate from Buhari. Describing Buhari as a man he respects so much, Okupe added that he had no option but to reply to his accusations against the Federal Government and the President.

He reminded Nigerians that Buhari had previously been credited with a statement that he would make the country ungovernable if the last presidential election did not favour him. Okupe said, “Everybody in this country knows that it was Buhari who vowed that if he did not win the election, he would make the country ungovernable for this President. It was this same Buhari who said during the electioneering period that if the votes were counted and he lost, people should go for blood. He is not in any position to apportion blame on the issue of violence in the North or in Nigeria in general. He is a protagonist of violence. The only solution he sees to his not being President is to call for violence. This government has tried to contain some of the repercussions of the unguarded statements made by Buhari and I don’t think anybody in Nigeria will take him seriously on this allegation.” The presidential aide added that if there were those to be blamed for the insecurity in the country, the name of Buhari should top the list. Okupe wondered why the Katsina State-born general had refused to visit states like Borno and Yobe despite the fact that he hails from the northern part of the country. He said, “As a former Head of State, have you ever seen him (Buhari) visiting Borno or Yobe States? Have you ever seen him show sympathy to people, either Christians or Muslims that have been killed during these attacks by Boko Haram? Have you see him as a leader, a man who traversed the entire length and breadth of the North especially to canvass for votes seeking an end to the violence? Why is it that he cannot use that same clout that he has to get leaders together and say we must put an end to this carnage? He finds it comfortable to shift the blame to other people. What has he done as a leader, who is from that region to help Nigeria and the North out of this unfortunate development? Nigerians should ask him, as a former Head of State and stakeholder in the Nigeria project and a man who wants to be President again, if he would want Nigeria to be destroyed up to a point before he can try to wade in? It does not work that way.” Okupe said that as a leader, Buhari should stop apportioning blame, but should do something crucial to bring the carnage in the country under control. He reminded the former military ruler that during the crisis in Niger Delta, leaders from the region went into the creeks and discussed with the militants to lay down their arms. “Has Buhari done that? When Christians were killed, he kept quiet, when mosques were bombed, he did not say anything. He doesn’t have any other interest in Nigeria but his inordinate ambition to rule,” he added. In his reaction, Buhari said there was no way he could be involved in the discussion on how to end the carnage since he was not part of the problem. Buhari, who spoke through the National Publicity Secretary of the CPC, Mr. Rotimi Fashakin, also said it was apparent that those responsible for the crisis in the Niger Delta were the ones that volunteered to end it.

He said, “When the Niger Delta militancy reached a crescendo, some notable people from that region went into the creeks as he (Okupe) alleged. The question is: ‘Who were the people who started the Niger Delta imbroglio ab initio?’ If the people that initiated and executed a problem decided to resolve it, what can anyone do about it? This is totally different from the Boko Haram palaver.”

Nude Beach Shut Down, An infamous nude beach in southern Wisconsin has been shutdown on weekdays after a spate of illicit outdoor sex, public drug use and cruising.

Nudists from around the country have been traveling to Mazomanie Beach for decades, but the state Department of Natural Resources is fed up with the sordid behavior and today announced it was putting a stop to it.......dailymail.co.uk.

'The goal of this closure is to make Mazomanie Beach a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone who visits or floats past the area,' said DNR Conservation Warden Nate Kroeplin.

On its website, an organization called Friends of Mazo Beach writes: 'We oppose any action by the DNR or any other public officials to restrict or eliminate such usage.'

The beach is located along the Lower Wisconsin River in the northwest corner of Dane County in the Town of Mazomanie.

Kroeplin said nudists from as far as Florida have traveled to the beach in search of a sexual encounter.
