zamirikpo: hi guyz, ive been using an 07 camry alias spider since 2011 and ive not changed anytin, just engine oil and filter, but i kip readn abt gearbox oil nd d likes,pls....am i supposed to service my gearbox after sometym or do i wait til it givs a sign .....infact wot shld i do as regards d health of my gearbox having driven it since 2011 witout an issue. thanks.
Please do you have the gear in your custody? i will like to have it if you dont mind?
Kashif: What is the relationship this noise has with engine and vehicle speed? From your explanation, it is not looking like a gear ratio-driven noise, since its there in 3rd, albeit lower. Can you maintain an average RPM from takeoff during another test? On the other hand, can you maintain an average speed? For instance, drive hard in first to attain about 40km/h, and then maintain it there while the car gets to 3rd? I suggest you drive it with the lever in 3rd.
Trying to pinpoint what drives this noise.
With the vibrations at higher speed, TCC comes within radar.
I think i will try that.( when ASA i close from work)
But do you think the Torque converter or transmission pump can cause such whine in such circumstances?
Please note that when the car is in park or Neutral, there is no such noise when i rev the car to the limit.
GAZZUZZ: let me give you a better deal, I'm in PH and saw a 1zz-fe amongst other engine my friend stocks in his workshop, I asked him about it and he says it's a toks engine. give him a call, PH is closer than Lagos and you might get a better deal + a guarantee on the engine.
Kashif: Shuo! All these conditions for free lunch?!
If there is a planetary failure, the transmission will have serious driveability issues. A common problem (which I don't think your model should have) is pinion getting lose in carrier. Another thing to bear in mind is this - there is no planetary gear that is exclusive to 1st and 2nd ratios. There is also no holding member (clutch or brake) so dedicated. This means that if this is coming from a planetary, it wont be heard in 1st and 2nd alone. This noise should show up in at least, one other ratio.
If you say bearing well, I am not able to figure out which, unless you are referring to roller ping bearings. Noise from these should be very minimal.
Clunking noise on rough terrain will not come from differential. There is no tolerance to allow that. This whining noise may come therefrom, but you need to confirm if it is there when the transmission is engine-driven(accelerating) or wheel-driven(coasting).
Finally, the mounts are my prime suspect.
Bros, na Buharinomics i dey practice na
Thanks for your response. I actually have the bearings as my prime suspect in this case. The whine is first heard in first gear, then it becomes very loud(i.e the whine) in second. In third gear, it becomes very faint, then it is non-existent in 4 and 5.
The funny thing is, when the accelerator is depressed when it is in 1 or 2, it becomes very audible( even when the glass is wound up). but when it is in gear 2 for example , and i release the pedal, the noise disappears. If i depress again , i hear it until it changes to gear 3 where it becomes silent.
I too do not really suspect the differential , built rather the inner CV joint, as i hear some rumbling noise and experience vibrations when accelerating to high speeds (45-70 mph), am i am 100 percent sure that it is not a tire balance problem due to the fact that the vibration stops when i lift my foot off the accelerator pedal. i am only thinking that the whine may have contributory effects though through the diff?
As for the mounts, the 4 are all in perfect condition, as i even recently changed the dog-bone mount.
i am in need of a used (or will i say bad) of the aforementioned transmission(with torque converter), preferably removed from a 2002-09 Toyota Camry( 4 cylinder) to be dashed to me or sold as scrap( i will pay for shipping). i want to salvage the pump and the torque converter. the A541e is used in the 1999 to 2001 toyota camry v6.
The following criteria for the transmission goes thus:
1. it must have been removed from a working vehicle
2. prior to removal, there should have been no whining, or grinding noise (signalling mechanical failure)
3. the trannsmission problem must be valvebody related( in other words it should have generated valve body or solenoid codes, preferably P0776, usually caused by very dirty transmission fluid), as i know say other sensor codes on transmission body no go wan make u change am
koboko69: The late President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua became Nigeria's president on May 29 2007. As at the time, he met an external debt of about $3,348.22 billion, and foreign reserves of about $45.0 billion and also a growing oil price of about $90/barrrel.
The Nigeria's Bonny Light Crude Oil Spot Price FOB which was $95.16 per barrel in January 2008 rose to $146.15 in July 2008 before declining to $76.24 per barrel by October 17 2008. Thus, within four months, it had lost 50% of its peak price.
Within this period, Yar'Adua was able to grow the external reserves to about $64 billion.
During the global financial crises, Nigeria capital markets, and banking industry were hit, coupled with the dwindling oil prices. The nation‘s foreign reserves decelerated from $64 billion in August 2008 to $47 billion as at March 2009, a 27% decrease, as the government had to resort to the ECA which is also part of the national reserves.
However according to records by CBN; Nigeria’s growth trajectory was not significantly impaired. The real Gross domestic Product (GDP) growth rate which averaged 6.29 percent between 2004 and 2007 declined marginally to 5.99 per cent in 2008 rising thereafter to 6.9 percent in 2009. This is often attributed to the impressive performance of the non-oil sector, particularly, agriculture and the continuous implementation of sound macroeconomic policies. The external reserves was, however, still able to support at least 15 months of imports.
In conclusion, the foreign reserves played a major factor in the survival of the economy before the early dismiss of President Yar'Adua.
Goodluck Jonathan's takeover;
After President's Yar'Adua's Dismiss, President Jonathan took over May 05 2010. He met a foreign reserve of about $47. 7 billion and external debt of about $3.94 billion Dollars.
While Jonathan was unable grow the foreign reserves like his predecessor during the oil boom remains unclear.
However the immeidate past Finance minsiter in her response to Obosanjo's accusations about Jonathan squandering $55bn said below
In conclusion again, according to Okonjo here, The national reserves played a major role in defending the economy.
[b]THE REALITY TODAY
Buhari met $32 bn as external reserves and $63 billion esternal debt even though Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, promptly rose to the defence of Mr. Jonathan’s administration, saying of the $63 billion debt, the administration only incurred $21.8 billion. How the external debt rose to an alarming rate remains unclear. Buhari also met a subsidy debt of about N600bn. How subsidy claims rose from N320bn to a whooping 2 trillion Naira under his administration remains unclear till this day.
Buhari also took over with oil price selling below $50/barrel whch later dwindled to as low as $28/barrel. The price of crude remains below $50/barrel today.
The current oil production rate have also dwindled with the renewed activities of some misguided, and deluded criminals in the name of Avengers in the ND region.
FINAL CONCLUSION
In conclusion and in the reality today, President Buhari have been trying his best to move the nation forward. Alot of leakages have been plugged, and a solid foundation is being layed down. It will be hypocritical and unfair for anyone not to expect the economy woes of today with the above analysis. With the indications above it is not out of place to say President Buhari inherited a virtually empty Treasury.
I urge every right thinking Nigerian, to criticise this government in good faith and not born our of tribal hatred or the hangover of the fact that the last government was booted out of office. The Economy woes experienced today should be expected by every right thinking Nigerian.
Even the immediate past Finance minister celebrated by some section of the country, warned severally about a very tough econmy.
Lets pass a vote of confidence in President Buhari by clicking Like!!!!
Kashif: In as much as many transmission issues are without code, are you sure you are using a capable scanner? Ask the mechanic to disconnect the transmission control harness (not the range connector) and drive it.
Can you provide more details? When it gets hot, does it lose mobility entirely, or does it just stop selecting? Does turning the ignition off and on change anything?
But I thought a 2007 Camry should be running on U760?
the 2007-09 with 2AZ-FE Engine is actually coupled to U250E transmissions
the one you mentioned is for the 2.5l (code name?) engine found on the 2010-2011 camrys.
timonski: I got admission in 2014/15 session, but deferred until this session because I had many older siblings still in school. Well. My mom was hoping to raise some funds for this session but all our efforts fell short. It seems i may lose this admission since there is no money to even defer this session. My course adviser told me that once exams are through all patments and registrations are definitely over. Please I don't want to lose my admission or this session. I don't want all my efforts to go in vain. All the chemistry practicals, Engineering stress, etc all about go with the wind. ;( Please, I beg of you, come to my aid. I need N80000 to complete my fees. Please I know it is a huge sum of money to give out but I pray that God abundantly bless whoever considers my case. Before anyone would consider your plight as being credible enough, kindly post the following
1- you admission/certification letter into the said institution ( include the institution's name) 2- copies of paid fees so far( and all these must have your name on it)
freshvine: His car is a fantastic engineering model and he owns 1 out of thousands manufactured along it through out the world. The car is not alien.
Secondly, owning big and flashy cars do not make one a big boy. Most of the people that uses latest model of cars under use these cars, as the mostly drive to their offices in the morning and park and after work they're headed home straight. Some uses them for weekend runs and school chase and at the end the cost of maintenance is meagre compare to a hustler who uses old model of car for his shuttles, fuel, service and maintain and he's always on the move. Do the cost analysis on specified owners and tell me who actually is the big "oga"
What I am saying is that I'll respect a building contractor who owns and drive a 1999 camry to a banker that uses 2012 hyundai i35 base on car maintenance analysis or "big" to buttress my point.
Tbells91: Truthfully, these things you listed here happen and it can be frustrating at times! But there are some things you as a lady dating a broke guy should know and do. First, you knew he is broke before going into a relationship with him cz you saw something other than money.. Why not focus on that and find other means to get money, you can start a business or just manage your allowance from your parents to maintain yourself. (you don't have to share that with if you're not cool with it)
The issue of buying things for your friends to impress them is so unnecessary, is it to get their approval to date you or what? I guess you're just trying to boost your own ego. Know his capability at that time you're asking him to buy things and still insisting shows you're not considerate and that will definitely cause fight cz he'll feel bitter about his status and it's a damage to his self-esteem and ego and you're not helping matters. What I do in situations like that is, whenever I have money, I'll buy things for my friends, what I know they'll appreciate, and tell them it's from my boyfriend. I'll tell him he's owing me and trust me, I always know how to get it back.
Another thing is a guy wey stingy as e broke go stingy if he get money! By stingy, I mean not sharing the little he has AT ALL.. Always saying he has plans!
If a guy is not lazy and things ain't just working yet, it's better. But if you're dating a student who is not working, my dear, na to just enjoy any other thing he has to offer or join the next train. All in all, A woman has got to be independent too! Work for yourself, spend money and live your financial life like you don't have a boyfriend, that way you won't think of his brokeness cz you're paying your own bills yourself!
Shout out to all the ladies dating broke guys! It's not easy mehn!
You are very lucky that i am married.
If not i would have seized you and would have paid your bride price this very hour!( regardless whether you are married or not)
What a damsel with a beautiful mind! (yes i say this without even knowing you)

evergreen247: I disagree with this parmutation. Euro classification is based on CO2 emission and CO2 emission is not proportional to mpg especially when comparing old engine with newer engine with a lot of improved technology to reduce emission. in nutshell that two engine has different; Euro 4 can be more efficient than Euro 5 but the clasiffication show Euro 5 has lower co2 emission. And lets not forget that in latest engine devolopment, there a lot of l4 turbo that has power of v6 with efficiency of l4 likewise v6 and v8. and most importantly effient also depend on engine manufacturer.
