It's called safe landing. Just to make him feel better. Nothing more! He was supposed to be suspended for 3months meaning all salaries and allowances would've been lost in those period. He was also supposed to be investigated for financial impropriety but all of that is no more. More like a state pardon. He'll simply continue his legislative business as a member of the house. Simple!

The case was actually over a decade ago.
The case is pending in the High Court of Benin.....it is alleged he used it to gain entry as a House of Assembly member in 2006 or so.

Immunity made them push the case sine die.

However, it must be proven.

The icpc had already concluded their case and shaibu was asked to put up his defense before he was sworn in. What amazed me in the case was when the company he used came to court to testify that he was never an employee.

For Shaibu....alleged forged tax clearance, false academic docs, MBA certificate & alleged forged WAEC.

That forged tax clearance may just end it all for obaseki. I followed that case in 2016 instituted by icpc. It was so clear shaibu was going to be nailed. He was saved by immunity after swearing in.
