ODJ124: The law said so long as he sort for nomination in the the first party he isn't suppose to contest in another party... For the same election I know this will form part of the petition before the tribunal. It's going to be very interesting in the weeks ahead. Election is a process and not an event. Seeking for nomination by buying, filling, returning the form and presenting yourself for screening is part of the election process. |

fubsy: Inasmuch as Gov. Obaseki may be saying the truth, if I have the opportunity to advise him, I'll tell him to leave the past and focus on the future. He should go back and check the list of promises he made during his campaign tours and manifestos and start carrying out the promises. He should please not bother about the areas that voted him or not. He should just fulfil his campaign promises across the state. Gov. Obaseki is currently a symbol of hope for the Nigerian electorates. The hope of the Nigerian electorates will be complete when the governor performs according to his promises. Please governor, leave issues of Tinubu and Oshiomhole alone. Let the people decide their political fate. Just focus on governance. Thank you |

Your will soon find out that all parties in Nigeria have party leaders including your PDP. I think you should just get to work. There's so much to be done. Politics is deeper than you're taking it. You've only just won election, your seat is not as safe as you think especially in this era of judicial abracadabra. Go and ask David Lyon and Emeka Ihedioha. Tinubu and Oshiomhole are not people you can just knock out with a single punch. They may assume more powerful and influential position than you in 2023 and come back to haunt you down. Just imagine tinubu becoming president in 2023 and Oshiomhole a key member of his cabinet! Your last one year in office and any intention to have a preferable successor will be ruthlessly fought. Focus on the Edo people for now. Besides,I don't think you should bother yourself with Apc and how they run their affairs. We're expecting so much from you. |

Whoever made oshiomhole the national chairman of Apc actually set him up for destruction. That was where his downfall started. There's time for everything under the Sun. I guess his time has come to an end in the political space. Let others learn from his numerous mistakes. Tinubu should respect himself because the gang up against him ahead of 2023 is swelling. The dead man in Aso villa has killed Apc though. |
Politics › Re: APC National Leader, Releases Statement After Edo Election Loss by Indispensable85(m): 4:04pm On Sep 21, 2020 |
seunmsg: The outcome of Edo election has no bearing on Ondo election. When APC lost Ekiti in 2014 to Fayose, the party restrategized and won Osun a month later despite the heavy handedness of Jonathan in that election.
APC's major problem in Ondo is the internal wraggling within the party. As things stands now, they have been able to achieve about 90% reconciliation. The outcome of Edo will even push them to unite and for more for the party. The fact that the current deouty governor is contesting is also a plus to APC. Those opposed to the governor's re-election will share their votes between Jedege and Agboola. I can't see a path to victory for PDP in Ondo election. Agboola just helped aketi to get reelected. If he had stay put in pdp with jegede, aketi for see oba |

Miracle1991: Buhari should be suspended from the party. He is useless to the party,he played antiparty in Edo. It's not Buhari but the presidency. There are people who do the interference for the president. They did it for yahaya bello in kogi. For them to not do it this time, it means there's something underneath that we might not know yet. It will manifest in the coming months before the presidential election. You'll see the difference in ondo election. |

IamCookie: Afterall, every battle Oshiomhole has fought, won and lost, is because of Tinubu.
As APC chairman, he fought Tinubu's battles. All the Governors and Ministers that had/have 2023 Presidential ambition, automatically became Oshiomhole's enemies, and he tried so hard to wrestle the APC party structures from them, in their respective states.
He did it with Ibikunle Amosun in Ogun state, Yari in Zamfara state, Rotimi Amaechi in Rivers, Rochas Okorocha in Imo.
That is aside the dirty work in places like Lagos (to silence Ambode), Oyo ( to silence Tegbe). The only reason Fayemi got the APC ticket for Ekiti was because Buhari was behind him gidigba.
Tinubu and Oshiomhole were fronting Segun Oni. Opeyemi Bamidele even got shot in the arm by unknown people during a rally for Fayemi.
So, Baba Tinubu just go and calm down abeg. Absolutely correct! It was segun oni that Oshiomhole and tinubu wanted but Buhari came through for fayemi. I still see fayemi getting the apc presidential ticket. He seems to enjoy the support of most of the apc governors. |

You can trust the devil more than the Nigerian politician. Any of them can cross at anytime with ease. You will think you're dreaming. Just wait and see what happens as we move towards 2023 presidential election. There's no political party in Nigeria. Politicians use them as vehicle to get to their destination. When people like tambuwal, ortom, saraki, kwankwaso, governor Ahmed ,dogara and so many others moved in 2015, you would think they've found respite in their new place. But in 2019,they all moved again. Nigerian politicians nor get shame, you'll soon see them by 2022/2023. Shameless people! |

TheTrueSeeker2: ................Gov Obaseki may remain in PDP until the calculations for 2023 begins.
When that time comes even Gov. Wike may switch camp and so many in APC right now even Amaechi may reconsider their current positions all in their bids to achieve their selfish interest The type of drama that will take place before the presidential election will be unprecedented. |

Goke7: How else can they win? Very simple! They have many very capable hands in the south. They should pick one of them and pair with kwankwaso as vp. The failure of Buhari is enough to make them win. But if they field another northerner,it will lead to serious revolt from the south and it's going to be spontaneous. |

So this man is serious about his presidential ambition? Hmmmmm.... I prefer him to the old man in Lagos though. But the apc is dead as a result of Buhari performance in office. But the pdp should not make the mistake of fielding another northerner after 8yrs of Buhari. We're not in Hausa Fulani nation. |

But Kwankwanso now in edo suddenly becomes Oshiomole headache that his Nairaland spam bots are having sleepless night Kwankwaso is not an is due in Edo election. Have you heard Oshiomhole made any mention of him in all his campaigns? If he couldn't do it in his state is it in a state he doesn't know that he'll make any substantial impact? As a matter of fact the arewa community has been represented handsomely in every campaign of the Apc thus far. Go to geetv Africa service and watch all Apc campaigns there. |

And oshiomole was able to win all the national Assembly seats for APc and Buhari right.
Sense will soon find you If you were not foolish you would've realized that it was only Edo that Buhari got a sizeable vote in the whole of southsouth and southeast.Buhari was a name that nobody wanted to hear in those areas in 2019 but Oshiomhole's influence gave him about 47% votes to 51% for pdp and 2% for others with less than 10k votes difference between pdp and Buhari. At least even if kwankwaso failed to deliver Kano, he should have at least gotten the required constitutional 25% minimum spread for his Pdp and atiku. You're obviously a neophyte in politics. You know nothing. Receive sense! |
