RomanceRe: Does This Girl Actually Like Me Or Am I Overthinking? by infogenius(m): 7:15am On Dec 13, 2025
AlphaBoy:
Nairaland, abeg help me judge this matter because I no wan deceive myself.
There’s this female friend of mine in school. We read together, buy snacks for each other, gist, and I usually walk her home after night class. Cool friendship, nothing serious… or so I thought.
But recently, she has been acting somehow:
One day she told me she feels blessed to have me and even called me her role model.
Anytime we finish reading late, she insists I must walk her home.
One night, she pointed at a bus stop and said she once saw a couple kissing there. Then she faced me and dropped this line: “It’s you that don’t want to love.”
If I ghost her small, na she go enter my DM first like, “You no wan talk to me again?”
And one day she directly asked me: “Why are you running from me?”
Make una no forget — I liked her initially but didn't want to push it yet , I don’t know if she’s catching feelings.
So nairalanders, make una talk true:
This girl like me abi she just dey whine me?
Or na me dey overthink am?
Bros, make I no waste ur time: this girl LIKE u well well. No be whine, no be overthinking.

Check the evidence again:
• She calls u her “role model” and says she feels “blessed” to have u → that’s not normal friend talk.
• She insists u walk her home every night → she wants more time with u, and safe time too.
• She points at couple kissing and says “It’s YOU that don’t want to love” → indirect confession wey clear like daylight.
• If u ghost small, na she dey rush enter DM first → classic sign of person wey dey catch feelings.
• She straight-up asks “Why are you running from me?” → she don already notice say u dey hold back, and she wan know why.

All these no be “just friendship” behaviour.
Na woman wey dey drop green light everywhere but still dey do am gently because she nor wan scare u away.

The ball dey ur court now.
If u like her, make a move sharp sharp before another guy collect the hint wey u dey ignore.
If u nor like her like that, tell her clearly and gently so she nor waste more time and emotions.

But from everything, she nor dey whine u.
She dey like u pass “friend zone.”
No deceive urself o.

😊
Shoot ur shot or free her heart.

Outstanding! One question please, what do you think about the entrepreneurship/investor visa program particularly for Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Turkey etc.

Also, why is it not being explored by comfortable Nigerians? Since it's clear that most visa programs now are targeted at scooping the best talents across countries?
Thanks for the kind words and the solid question!

Entrepreneur and investor visas are some of the best options right now for Nigerians who already have money or a strong business idea. They give faster PR or citizenship, and many allow u to bring ur family. Here’s a simple breakdown for 2025:

• Canada (Start-up Visa): Perfect if u have an innovative business (tech, fintech, health app, etc.). U need support from a Canadian investor or incubator (they invest small or nothing). No big money required from u, just a good plan. Leads to PR in 2–3 years. Many Nigerians are using this quietly.

• UK (Innovator Founder Visa): For people with a new or scalable business idea. U need endorsement from an approved body. No minimum investment, but u must show the business is real and viable. Leads to permanent residence in 3 years.

• Australia (National Innovation Visa – new in 2025): Replaces the old business visa. For exceptional entrepreneurs with proven track record. Points-based, invites only the very best. High chance of PR.

• New Zealand (Active Investor Visa): Simple and sweet. Invest NZD 5 million (about ₦3 billion) in growth businesses or NZD 10 million in safer options. Very low stay requirement (few weeks per year). PR after 3–5 years.

• Turkey (Citizenship by Investment): The fastest. Invest $400,000 in property or $500,000 in business/bank. Get Turkish passport in 6–8 months. Visa-free to 120 countries and easy access to US E-2 visa later. Many wealthy Nigerians love this one.

Why aren’t more “comfortable” Nigerians using these?
1 Most rich Nigerians prefer quick passport programs (like Turkey, Caribbean) for travel freedom, not for moving abroad to run a business.
2 These visas require real business activity and proof that ur money is clean. Many people fear “source of funds” questions.
3 Awareness is low. Agents push student or skilled worker routes more because they’re easier to sell to middle-class people.
4 Some just want the family to school abroad, not to start a new business in cold weather.

But for serious business people, these visas are gold. If u have the funds or a strong idea, start with Canada or Turkey as they’re the most friendly right now.

Examples of solid skills
Great question.
Here are some solid, in-demand skills that make japa easier in 2025, based on current shortage lists for Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, and similar spots.

These are backed by official immigration data and job reports

Focus on getting certified experience (2–5 years) and IELTS 7.0+ to boost ur chances.

Healthcare
• Registered nurses and healthcare assistants (e.g., Canada’s NOC 31301, UK’s Immigration Salary List). Shortages everywhere due to aging populations—PR in 6–12 months via Express Entry or Skilled Worker visas.

Tech & IT
• Software developers/full-stack engineers (Python, Java, cloud like AWS).
• Data scientists/analysts (SQL, machine learning).
• Cybersecurity specialists (ethical hacking, network security). These top Express Entry draws in Canada/Australia and get EU Blue Cards in Germany fast.

Engineering
• Civil/structural engineers (infrastructure booms in Australia/Germany).
• Mechanical/electrical engineers (renewable energy focus). Points-tested visas love these—Australia’s SID visa processes in weeks with a job offer.

Skilled Trades
• Electricians and plumbers (high demand in UK/Australia for construction).
• Welders/carpenters (Canada’s PNPs target them for regional roles). No degree needed, just trade certs—faster than white-collar in some provinces.

Other Hot Ones
• Accountants/financial analysts (Canada’s Express Entry prioritizes them).
• Teachers (secondary/STEM, UK’s shortage list).

These skills align with global needs like green energy, digital growth, and healthcare crises.
If u have one, polish ur resume and apply.

Doors are still open for quality over quantity.

What’s ur skill set?
TravelRe: Has Japa Finally Come To An End? by infogenius(m): 10:24pm On Dec 12, 2025
wyt:
I don't totally agree with you. Canada, Australia are welcoming more unskilled worker more thank white-kola guys. Reason being that they want to populate their own with the white-kolas first. And it is understandable. Trade skill like painting, plumber etc will get visa faster than an accountant or Data scientist
Thanks for the pushback.

U’re not wrong trade skills like plumbing, welding, painting, and carpentry are currently in very high demand in Canada and Australia, and in many cases, a certified tradesperson with a job offer can land PR faster than some white-collar workers.

But the bigger picture is this:

1 Canada
◦ Trades get super-fast processing through Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) and targeted draws.
◦ White-collar professions (IT, accounting, data science, nursing, engineering) still receive far more invitations overall through Express Entry. So while a plumber might land in 8 months, 15 accountants or software engineers land in the same period.

2 Australia
◦ The new Skills in Demand visa is heavily favouring construction and trade occupations, especially in regional areas.
◦ At the same time, accountants, data scientists, and health professionals remain on the Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List and continue to get the majority of invitations.

3 No “white-cola” favouritism
. Countries are not choosing oyinbo over black. They are simply balancing two urgent needs:
◦ Build houses, roads, and infrastructure fast → bring in tradespeople.
◦ Grow the digital economy and tax revenue → bring in tech, finance, and health professionals.

Both doors are wide open in 2025.

It’s not “trades vs white-collar” — it’s “trades AND white-collar.”

So if u’re a skilled tradesperson, japa has never been sweeter.

If u’re in tech, nursing, accounting, or engineering, the path is still very clear and busy.

Upgrade whatever skill u have, because quality migration is still very much alive.

treesun:
https://www.thecable.ng/sanusi-nigerian-leaders-see-public-office-as-family-business/
Sanusi Lamido Sanusi just spoke the plain, unfiltered truth that many politicians pray Nigerians never fully grasp.

Public office in Nigeria is no longer seen as national service; it is treated as family inheritance and personal ATM. That is why:

• Refineries remain comatose 30 years after we knew how to fix them.
• Power generation is still below 5,000 MW in a country of 220 million people.
• Every new government cancels the previous one’s projects instead of building on them.
• A governor will rather award contracts to his cousin’s shell company than fix a federal road that kills his own people daily.

Sanusi is right: many of these failures are not accidents; they are deliberate.

Because a developed, united Nigeria will no longer tolerate the kind of primitive looting we see today.

His message to the youth is the real takeaway:

This country belongs to us, not to the current crop of leaders.

They are only tenants; we are the landlords.

If we keep waiting for the political class to fix Nigeria out of the goodness of their hearts, we will wait forever.

The only way forward is for ordinary citizens (especially the young and educated) to organise, articulate a clear vision, and take power legally and democratically.

2027 is only 24 months away.

Start registering voters in ur estate, on ur campus, in ur church/mosque, in ur market.

Start demanding accountability from ur local government chairman today.

Nigeria will change the day millions of us decide that “enough is actually enough.”

Thank u, Emir Sanusi, for reminding us who truly owns this country.

The revolution will not be imported; it will be home-grown, one voter at a time. 🇳🇬💪

irumole1975:
The rise of anti immigration laws is not a news anymore. From the US to Canada to UK to Europe, nearly everyone doesn’t want immigrant no more in their country.

Is this the end of japa wave for Nigerians?
No, this is not the end of japa; it’s the end of the “blind japa” era.

What we are seeing in the US, Canada, UK, and Europe is not “anti-immigrant”; it’s anti-mass-uncontrolled-low-skilled-migration.

Countries are simply returning to the same rules they always had before COVID and post-Ukraine labour shortages made them open the gates too wide.

The new reality (2025–2030):
1 High-skilled routes are still very open
◦ Canada Express Entry points just got higher, but doctors, nurses, engineers, IT, data scientists are still getting PR in months.
◦ UK Skilled Worker visa salary threshold jumped to £38,700, but healthcare, tech, and teaching shortage occupations are still fast-tracked.
◦ Germany Opportunity Card, Australia points test, Netherlands 30% ruling — all still welcoming skilled people.

2 Student route is tighter but not closed
◦ UK banned dependants for Masters (except research courses), but the Graduate Route (2–3 years work visa) is still there.
◦ Canada capped study permits, but top universities and STEM programmes are barely affected.
◦ Ireland, Malta, Portugal, Sweden still allow dependants.

3 Low-skilled and irregular routes are dying fast
◦ Caregiver, farm worker, truck driver PR pathways in Canada are closing or heavily restricted.
◦ UK stopped most low-wage work visas.
◦ Europe is deporting faster than before.

So for the average Nigerian with BSc + 3–5 years experience in tech, nursing, engineering, accounting, pharmacy — japa is harder, but still very possible with proper planning and credentials.

For the person with OND, no skill, planning to enter through “student visa → caregiver job → PR” — that road is almost completely blocked now.

Bottom line:

Japa never finish.
Na the “anyhow japa” don die.

If u get solid skill, IELTS 7.5+, verifiable experience, and clean money for proof of funds — countries still dey call u with two hands.

If not, e go hard well well.

The wave just changed direction, it’s now from quantity to quality.

Upgrade or stay home.

TravelRe: Man Laments As Hausa Boys Block The Lagos–ibadan Expressway (Photos/Video) by infogenius(m): 10:00am On Dec 12, 2025
Glimpsetv:
A man has raised an alarm after a group of Hausa boys allegedly blocked the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, stopping all movement on both the Ibadan-bound and Lagos-bound lanes.

Crowds of people and drivers could be seen stranded on the road, standing helplessly as the Hausa truck drivers blocked both sides of the expressway with their trucks.

According to him, the boys insisted that no vehicle would be allowed to pass, claiming that someone had stolen the battery from their truck. Even when police officers arrived and attempted to plead with them, they reportedly refused to open the road or let anyone through.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnB5_xQaX0Q
This is absolutely unacceptable.
Blocking a major expressway like Lagos-Ibadan because of a stolen battery is not protest; it’s criminal extortion and reckless endangerment of thousands of lives.
People heading to work, hospitals, airports, and families travelling were all held hostage for hours over one private dispute.

If a battery was truly stolen, the correct thing is to report to the nearest police station and let law enforcement investigate. Not to turn yourselves into a mob and paralyse an entire highway.

The police on ground should have done better too. Once the boys refused to clear the road after reasonable pleading, tow trucks and arrests should have followed immediately.

Allowing this kind of jungle justice on a federal highway sets a dangerous precedent. Next time it will be a stolen phone, tomorrow a minor accident, and the whole country will keep grinding to a halt.

We cannot continue to tolerate this. The government must make an example of every single person involved: drivers, truck owners, and anyone who participated.

Heavy fines, vehicle impoundment, and jail time will send the message that Nigerian roads belong to all citizens, not to any tribe or group that feels like throwing a tantrum.

Enough is enough.

Law and order must return to our highways.
CrimeRe: How Lasisi Funmilayo & Daughter Sewa Were Killed By Boyfriend Victor Fajemirokun by infogenius(m): 6:02am On Dec 06, 2025
This story is beyond heartbreaking.
it’s a gut-wrenching reminder of how betrayal and superstition can destroy lives in the blink of an eye.

Funmilayo Lasisi, a dedicated FRSC officer just doing her best for her family, and her innocent daughter Sewa, full of promise, deserved so much more than to be lured into a trap by someone they trusted.

The fact that Victor Fajemirokun, her supposed partner, could orchestrate this horror over some twisted “glory-stealing” nonsense from a cleric, then involve herbalists like Gboyega Daramola and Sunday James to carry out the ritual mutilation—it’s pure evil that chills the soul.

Thank God the Osun State Police acted swiftly, recovering the bodies from that dam and bush, and extraditing Victor from Ghana for justice.

But no arrest erases the void left behind for Funmilayo’s loved ones.

May their souls rest in perfect peace, and may the full weight of the law crush these monsters.

To every woman reading: If a partner starts talking “spiritual attacks” or “cleansing rituals,” run.
Trust your gut—it’s often the Holy Spirit warning you.
And to our society:
We must call out these fake clerics and herbalists peddling death for “success.”

Enough is enough.

My thoughts and prayers are with Funmilayo’s family.
Nigeria mourns with you.

Bro, u’re not entitled at all.

U’re hurt because someone u trusted and helped gave u solid assurance, then pulled the rug at the last minute, and left u facing an extra year.

That’s not “friendship”; that’s betrayal.

Cutting him off isn’t wickedness; it’s self-preservation.
• He borrowed ur laptop and still couldn’t keep ₦1 aside for the promise he made.
• He knew the one that turned a simple loan into life-altering damage for u.

Do this:
1 Protect ur peace—collect ur laptop back calmly but firmly.

2 Quietly step away. No long explanation, no fight; just distance.

3 Focus every energy on finding that school-fees money before Monday (crowdfund small, beg family, sell something, anything).
U will survive this.

Real friends don’t gamble with ur future.

U deserve people who keep their word, not excuses wrapped in “sorry.

U’re not wrong for walking away. U’re wise.

This one pain go pass, I promise.

Keep ur head up, king. 🙏❤️
PoliticsRe: The Bandits Are Mostly Mercenaries by infogenius(m): 6:12am On Nov 30, 2025
@ op

Your question cuts to the heart of Nigeria’s security crisis, and it’s a valid one.

The bandits’ access to sophisticated weapons like AK-47s, rocket launchers, and endless ammunition suggests a well-oiled supply chain, often involving mercenaries who are hired for specific operations.

While definitive proof is hard to come by due to the clandestine nature of these networks, credible reports and expert analyses point to several key players behind the funding and arms flow.

I’ll break it down based on recent investigations and data.

Who Hires the Bandit Mercenaries?
Bandits in northern Nigeria (primarily in the northwest and north-central regions) are largely opportunistic criminals from Fulani herder backgrounds, driven by economic motives like ransom, cattle rustling, and illegal gold mining rather than ideology.

They recruit foot soldiers—often desperate locals or foreign mercenaries—from porous borders, paying them in cash or looted goods. The “hirers” or sponsors include:

• Politicians and Local Elites:
Many bandits are allegedly bankrolled by state governors, lawmakers, and influential figures who use them as political tools during elections or to settle scores.

For instance, opposition parties like the PDP have accused the ruling APC of shielding sponsors to avoid exposing high-profile allies.

Security analysts note that politicians provide logistics and protection in exchange for “services” like intimidating rivals or controlling mining sites.

A 2025 report by the Soufan Center highlights how communal grievances and political collusion fuel this, with bandits acting as proxies in areas like Zamfara and Kaduna.

• Illegal Mining Cartels:
Gold and lithium mines in the northwest generate massive illicit revenue, which funds bandit operations.

Groups control these sites and hire mercenaries to protect them from rivals or security forces.

The BBC’s 2025 overview of Nigeria’s security groups confirms that bandit gangs dominate illegal mining, using profits to sustain attacks.

• Jihadist Affiliates (Indirectly):
While most bandits are non-ideological, some collaborate with groups like ISWAP or the Lakurawa network (designated a terrorist group in 2025) for mutual benefit, sharing ransom money or weapons.

These alliances provide occasional sponsorship but are more opportunistic than direct hiring.

The government has the intelligence on many sponsors but often cites “politics” as a barrier to action, as noted in a November 2025 BBC Pidgin interview with security insiders.

Who Supplies the Arms and Ammunition?

Nigeria has over 60,000 illegal small arms in circulation, mostly in the northwest, per Wikipedia’s entry on the bandit conflict (updated 2025). The supply chain exploits weak borders and corruption:

• Cross-Border Smugglers:
Weapons flood in from Libya (post-Gaddafi chaos since 2011) via Niger and Chad, with convoys escorted by corrupt officials.

A Punch Nigeria investigation (October 2025) exposed Nigerien smugglers delivering 450+ rifles and 8,000 rounds to bandits in Zamfara, Kaduna, and Niger states, protected by Nigerian military escorts.

Porous borders (only 1,950 personnel for thousands of kilometers) make this easy.

• Corrupt Security Personnel:
Rogue soldiers and police divert arms from official stockpiles. The Department of State Services (DSS) in 2025 blamed security agencies for proliferation, with cases like arrested officers selling AK-47s to robbers.

Opinion Nigeria (November 2025) calls for prosecuting these insiders to dismantle the chain.

• Local Dealers and Syndicates:
Arms runners like Jacob Adikwu (arrested in Benue, July 2025) supply bandits from hidden factories or stolen military gear.

Women are increasingly involved, smuggling ammo to camps in states like Zamfara and Katsina, per ENACT Africa reports (2023–2025).

International dealers from China, Turkey, and even Serbia contribute via indirect routes, as per Geopolitical Monitor (August 2025).

In short, the enablers are a toxic mix of political protection, economic greed, and institutional rot.

Addressing it requires sealing borders, prosecuting sponsors (starting with elites), and community development to dry up recruitment.

Until then, the cycle continues.

It's either they are flat ass like a slippers or too rounded ass like a pot.

Can't we see figure 8 again?

In the early 2000, I can count the number of figure 8 babes parading the street with God endowed body .

The cause of this amoebic shape from our girls is not far fetched.

They bleep a lot this days .

How can a 13 years old girl bleeped to the point of becoming a borehole.

It baffles me.....

Before you bash me, am worried and concerned that our men are eating left overs .

The sweet-juice has been sapped out of our girls during their early stage and left with chaff.

They use trending clothes to cover up their over used bodies and milk men of their hard earned cash.

Statistics has shown that when a women becomes sexually active too early in life, she alters her body chemistry and physiology.

That's the reason they opt for bbl.

The rate of flat ass is too much .

The rate of amoebic shape is too much

Is God punishing Nigerian men for the sins?

This really call for concern.
Bros, I don read this ur thread finish, and I just weak 😂

First of all, calm down, God never dey punish Nigerian men. Na hunger and data dey punish us, not shape of nyash 😭

Now let’s talk true:
1 In 2000s una been dey see “perfect figure 8” because camera phone never plenty, Photoshop never land, and waist trainer never trend.
The ones wey no fine, una nor dey notice dem. Now everybody dey outside with ring light, so una eyes don open by force.

2 “Bleep too much = flat nyash or borehole” – my guy, which lab do this research?? 😂
Na nutrition, hormones, and gym (or no gym) dey determine shape. Plenty girls wey never kiss boy still get flat ass, plenty virgins get natural Coca-Cola shape.
Biology nor dey read body count before e share yansh.

3 BBL, waist trainers, padded pants, shapewear – yes, plenty girls dey fake am now, but men too dey fake 6-pack with filter and wear “bulge enhancer” inside boxer. So who dey deceive who?

4 U say Gen-Z girls ugly and shapeless – but the same Gen-Z boys dey chase them like tomorrow no dey. If dem ugly, why una nor rest? 😂
Real talk:
Stop blaming “over-bleeping” for wetin na genes, diet, and fashion.

A girl can bleep zero times and still get pancake nyash.

Another can bleep 100 times and still get natural hourglass (ask some Calabar and Delta girls).

Focus on character, peace of mind, and wetin she carry for head and heart.

Nyash go sag one day, even the “perfect 2000s own” wey una dey cry for don sag now.

Make we rest abeg. Beauty standards don change, life don hard, everybody just dey manage.

Dressing boldly doesn’t automatically make someone indecent.

I’ve seen girls in long skirts and covered hair running full-time hookup packages.

I’ve seen girls in crop tops and nose rings who are faithful, hardworking, and respectful.

So yes, dress respectfully it saves you unnecessary drama.

But never confuse clothing with character.

The real red flag is still behaviour, not fabric.

Dress well, live well, and judge wisely.

That’s the full peace. 🙏🏾

Bro, this list na pure comedy mixed with 1800s village gossip 😂

If we follow ur logic:
• Any girl wey wear leg chain = automatic witch
• Nose ring = confirmed marine agent
• White toenail polish = direct ticket to Babylon
• Extra ear piercings = she don sign contract with Lucifer

Meanwhile the same streets full of “decent hijab girls” wey dey run package, “daddy’s girl no piercing” wey dey collect money from 7 boyfriends, and “Jesus baby bio” wey dey do hookup sharp sharp.

Truth is:

Red flags no dey hide for jewellery, tattoos, or toenail colour.

Dem dey hide for CHARACTER.

Real list wey go save ur life:
1 Liars
2 Cheaters
3 Entitled people
4 Manipulators
5 Bitter souls
6 Users
7 Disrespectful partners

These ones fit wear hijab, suit, or full church gown.
Or fit wear leg chain and nose ring.

Judge the heart, not the fashion.
A good woman go always be a good woman, whether she get 10 piercings or zero.

Stop running from earrings and start running from bad behaviour.

That one go save ur life pass any village WhatsApp broadcast. 😂💯

OBA2503:
Having a high body count does not favor both the man or woman.
Having experiences only results to having unnecessary emotional complications that could be avoided.

For women, there are certain factors to consider.
A focused and responsible woman will prioritize her future and personal goals over sexual satisfaction at the early stages of her life.
This is where having a good home and upbringing is important.

A proper girl-child between 16 and 21 should be focused on getting a good education, skill acquisition, moral upbringing and spiritual balance in her life. These attributes will help her in the future and attracting the right type of partner and relationship.

Upon completion of studies at 21-22 years of age, the woman is at an age of full maturity emotionally, spiritually and physically where she can make decisions of how she wants to pursue her sexual and relationship priorities.

During this period, a woman can decide to engage in sexual purity or sexual adventure depending on her personal preference.
It is expected a Godly woman will most likely get married after 1/2 relationships which will eventually lead to marriage.
The unlucky ones might end up having between 3/5 relationships before getting married or having a child.
The unfortunate ones depending on their upbringing (poor spiritual life, broken home, lack of finance, incomplete education) might end up with 6/12 dating episodes leading to emotional and distorted sexual experiences in todays world.

You find these categories of women from between 21-35 years of age.

So, for a man to choose wisely, if you want to second guess a woman's body count, check the below parameters and thank me later;

1. Educational Background
What age did she complete university with respect to the age you met her?
Is she educated/partially/Incomplete?

2. Family Background
Are both parents still married?
Is it a polygamous/monogamous setting?
Do both parents live together?
Are the siblings close with their parents?

3. Financial Situation
Are they rich/comfortable/poor?
Do they own their home/rent?
What type of business(es)/job do the parents operate/own?

4. Spiritual/Religious Background
Christian/Muslim?
Level of spirituality (Liberal/Moderate/Extreme)

For instance, if a girl is a graduate from a rich, spiritually moderate, monogamous family, chances her body count will be between 2-4 count.
If a girl is a graduate from a poor spiritually extreme, monogamous family, chances are that her body count could be between 1-2 count.
If a girl is not a graduate from a poor uneducated, broken home, chances are that her body count could be between 4-9 count.
If a girl is uneducated from a liberal, divorced home, chances are that her body count could be between 10-18 count.

In conclusion, the family background, home training (moral upbringing), spiritual impact and educational quality plays a big role in raising a proper girl-child whose body count will not be a source of worry to her personal growth, potential suitor and future.

Please Note: My analysis is not 100% accurate.
Bro, with respect, this one na 2025, not 1925.

Checking “family background, education, spirituality” like CV to guess body count is the same energy wey dey make people check skull for phrenology or tribe for destiny.

Truth:

A girl from “rich monogamous Christian home” fit get 15 bodies before 23 if she get phone, data, and Lagos nightlife.

A girl from “poor broken home” fit reach 28 as virgin if she get discipline, focus, and fear of God.

Body count no dey written for surname, church attendance, or papa’s bank statement.

Na personal daily choices, not family résumé.

The only real way to know who someone is today?

Watch their fruit now:
• Are they honest?
• Are they disciplined in other areas (money, time, words)?
• Have they owned their past and changed?

Anything else na guesswork wey go disappoint u.

Judge the person in front of u, not the stereotype u read online.

That’s the only parameter wey never fails. 💯

You are naive I must say, unfortunately what you said up there women don't give a shit about it. Ask a typical woman about what she wants in a man , 99% will tell you money then ask men what they want in a woman 99% would even mention money it is what it is and not what it ought to be.

It's like saying women should bring equal amount of money in relationships and non compliance is a no no, I bet you the world will go extinct because majority of the women would rather die than to do so. What men want in women is different from what women want in men, most women don't care whether he is an armed rubber or a thief in government as long as he is a billionaire but you are bringing equality when you haven't done justice to equality in financial contributions. If you have done this then I would support your opinion hundred percent
Bro, I hear u loud and clear, and u’re not wrong about the real world today:

• Plenty women will overlook a man’s 100-body count, side chicks, or even shady money once the private jet and Birkin show up.

• Plenty men will scream “body count matters” but marry the same high-count girl the moment her papa get oil block.

That one na pure hypocrisy wey dey happen every day. No argument.

But here’s the thing:

Two wrongs no make one right.

Just because women sometimes ignore men’s dirt for money doesn’t mean men should now use that as excuse to keep double standards on sexual discipline.

If we want better women, we must first become better men who hold ourselves and each other to the same fire.

The moment men start rejecting billionaire runs girls the same way we reject broke ones with high body count, that’s when the game truly changes.

Until then, we’re just shouting “equality” when it favours us and “biology” when it doesn’t.

Let’s fix the whole system, not just the half wey dey pain us today.

I completely accept and think your take on this is the most reasonable here compared to the gobbledegoop that is the OP. However, I have a question about something you indicated there regarding this "waiting for the right one" state. Why does it seem to me that you are suggesting that someone in that state is not expected to explore fully his/her sexuality — not cheating, of course — during that period? undecided
Good question, and I’ll answer straight:
Nobody is saying u must stay a monk or nun while “waiting for the right one.”
Exploring ur sexuality as a single adult is normal and fine, as long as it’s honest, consensual, and doesn’t involve deceiving or using people.

The problem starts when:
• U rack up 30–50 bodies while claiming every single one was “I was looking for the right person.” That’s not exploration; that’s lack of boundaries.
• U treat every partner like a test-drive instead of a human being. That pattern usually follows u into marriage (comparison, boredom, cheating).

So explore by all means: date, have fun, learn what u like, learn how to please someone.
But do it with self-awareness and respect, not on a reckless scoreboard mission.

A reasonable body count while single = normal life.
A sky-high body count while single + the excuse “I was just waiting” = usually a red flag that discipline was never there.

That’s the difference.

Explore responsibly, not recklessly. 💯

Unfortunately, the equation can never be same for men as it is for women.
You may argue it for as long as you want, but nature didn't create it so.
Infidelity in men is not equal to infidelity in woman. One carries a graver consequence.
Nature made one thing clear:
Only women get pregnant.
That’s the only real asymmetry.
Every other “consequence” people talk about (reputation, emotional damage, family shame, risk of cheating again) applies exactly the same to men and women once the child is born and the home breaks.
A man who sleeps around can bring:
• surprise pregnancy from side chick,
• DNA drama,
• STDs home,
• divided inheritance,
• broken children who grow up resenting him.
Those consequences no dey lighter because he get Y chromosome.
The idea that “men can cheat but women can’t because nature” is not nature talking; na culture defending nonsense.
If the rule is “don’t destroy the family,” then it must apply to both genders the same way.
Anything else is just convenient excuse, not biology.
One standard for all, or no standard at all.

You might be right in some aspects but this theory here is flawed.

Reasons:

— A repentant 50 body count lady is quite different from that of the man. A man can have sex with 20 women without being emotionally connected. He can sleep with them without remembering their names but only the feelings. Meanwhile if a lady sleeps with more than 10 men, she’ll be emotionally connected to at least 3 or 4 of them. The issue now arise when there’s need for true partnership. Since she’s connected to more than one, she’ll always want to relive it. Remembering Charles performance and how caring Richard was. If the man doesn’t portray true leadership, she’ll cheat. A woman that has her heart divided into 4 different men that can turn her on, do you think it will be very easy to stick to one?

‘Habits are easy to form but hard to break’ You don’t just develop discipline out of the blue, it’s something you’ve been trained for long. A woman that has 50+ Body counts, how many years do you think she’s spent accruing this counts? Sometimes it might take all her adolescent age and it will take probably divine intervention before she can truly change and not relapse. This applies to both male and female.

— Male inexperience is not advisable when it comes to sexual dynamics. That’s the truth and nature. Because we do the work. A lady can just lie and enjoy sex but if a man doesn’t master the skills, there’s no textbook or video that can help. A man learns through experience. If you watch porn or seen one, the only sex skill that really involves a lady is the cowgirl and reverse cowgirl which a lot of ladies still don’t have experience (but they enjoy sex) meanwhile all the thrusting is done by men.

Sex to a man is about leading and if you give the steering to the lady all the time. She’s bound to look for a good driver.
Bro, with all respect, ur argument still dey one side:
1 “Women bond emotionally, men don’t”

Science nor Bible nor life experience support that one.

Oxytocin (the “bonding hormone”) releases in both men and women during sex.

Plenty men catch feelings, stalk exes, cry for months, or even kill over one woman.

Men just hide am better because society calls am weakness.
Emotional damage no get gender.

2 “A woman with high count go always compare”
Same way a man wey don sleep with 50 women go compare John wife’s waist movement with Chioma, her head game with Sandra, and her cooking with Blessing.

Comparison na human being problem, not vagina problem.

3 “Men need experience to lead in bed”

True say practice helps performance, but skill ≠ body count.

One man wey study him wife well for 10 years go perform pass playboy wey don taste 100 women but never cared to learn any of them.

Real bedroom leadership na attentiveness, not mileage.

4 “Repentant high-count woman hard to change”
If we use that logic, repentant high-count man (or former womaniser, Yahoo boy, cultist, or cheat) can never change too.

But every Sunday church full of testimonies of ex-wicked men wey turn good husbands.

Grace nor dey discriminate.

Bottom line:

Sin na sin, growth na growth.
A former runs girl wey don truly repent and submit to one man is better than a “low-count” girl wey never taste many men but still get pride, bitterness, or secret malice for heart.

Judge the fruit u are seeing today, not the root wey don die.

A changed person is a changed person—male or female.

Anything else na just ego defending double standard.

Let’s keep that same energy across board. 💯
RomanceRe: The Real Red Flag Isn’t Body Count But The Pattern Behind It by infogenius(m): 6:21am On Nov 27, 2025
Dpsychologist:
In today’s relationship landscape, too many people argue about “body count” like it’s a moral scoreboard.
Wrong metric. Wrong debate. Wrong focus.

The real issue is pattern count, the behavioral blueprint that explains why someone accumulated that body count in the first place.

Let’s be clear and data-driven:

A high body count in a woman is rarely an accident.
It’s a pattern of decisions, and patterns reveal more than confessions ever will.

It signals:

1. A history of low sexual discipline
Multiple partners over a short timeline shows one thing, judgment compromised by her impulse.
A woman who says “it just happened” twelve times isn’t unlucky.
She’s undisciplined.

2. A track record of emotional volatility
Jumping from one man to another is often a coping mechanism.
Breakup → rebound → situationship → reset → repeat.
That’s not romance.
That’s instability disguised as “experiences.”

3. A pattern of allowing easy access
You can’t accumulate a long list of men without being easily available.
Availability is a decision, not destiny.

4. A long-term problem with accountability
Most high-count women blame “toxic exes,” “bad choices,” or “not knowing better.”
But the common denominator in every story is the storyteller.

5. A consistent inability to say no
If a woman cannot say no to men, impulses, attention, or temporary validation,
she will struggle to say yes to discipline, loyalty, and partnership.

See the pattern?

A high body count isn’t just a number.
It’s evidence, a trend line which shows consistent patter..
And in business, leadership, and relationships, trends predict outcomes.

You don’t evaluate a candidate by one mistake.
You evaluate them by their pattern of decisions.

Relationships are no different.

Men must start thinking with strategy, not sentiment.
Numbers don’t lie.
Patterns don’t lie.
History doesn’t lie.

If a woman has a consistent pattern of saying yes to multiple men, multiple situationships, multiple impulses…
You’re not the “one.”
You’re simply the next.

Choose wisely.
Not based on what she says now
but based on what her pattern already proved.
Cc nlfpmod seun
Pattern matters, yes.

But let’s keep the same energy both ways:

A man who has slept with 50+ women while “waiting for the right one” is showing the exact same lack of discipline, impulse control, and accountability he’s accusing women of.

Same pattern, different gender.

If “easy access” is a red flag in her, serial cheating and “body count hunting” is a red flag in him.

The real metric isn’t body count or even pattern alone; it’s growth.

Has the person recognised their old pattern, owned it, and changed?

Or are they still repeating it while pointing fingers?

A repentant 50-body-count person who’s now disciplined and loyal is safer than a “low-count” person still stuck in pride and excuses.

Judge patterns, yes.

But judge ur own too.

Fair is fair. 💯

My brother, welcome back home (even if na temporary) 😂.
I feel ur pain, and I’ll give u the straight Naija-to-US advice wey dey work for 2025.

1. U are 100% correct about the visa risk

The visa type u’re eyeing (most likely K-1 fiancé visa or even CR-1 if u later marry) hates any evidence of traditional marriage or bride price paid.
USCIS officers dey hawk Anambra wedding pictures for Nairaland, Instagram, Facebook, even WhatsApp status like FBI.
One auntie wey post “My daughter’s igbankwu today” with plate number visible = automatic refusal + 10-year ban risk.
U nor dey play with that one.

2. Her parents insisting on village = tradition + pride + small “show-off”

To them, doing it in Lagos is like collecting Liverpool jersey but hiding am for drawer. Anambra people no dey joke with “going home to marry.” Na identity matter.

Here’s the practical moves wey dey work right now:

A. Offer serious “penalty money” with respect
Go back to them with ur people (at least one uncle wey sabi talk) and say:

“Daddy, Mummy, we love and respect our tradition pass anybody.
But this visa no be today matter. If we do full ceremony for village now, USCIS will see am and scatter everything. We fit lose years.

So we are begging: let us do small wine-carrying for Lagos, just immediate family (max 15 people), no asoebi, no IV, no Facebook live.

After she land America and we do court marriage, we will now come home with full force, rent the whole village square, kill 10 cows, block road for one week.

Any fine wey village go charge that time, we go pay double plus extra kegs of palm wine as apology.”

Sweeten am with immediate cash gift to her dad and mum “for the inconvenience” (₦500k-₦1m each no too much for this kind matter). Money dey cool hot temper fast.

B. Give them something to save face in the village
Tell them u will still send full bride price list money to the umuada and elders for village RIGHT NOW, plus extra “penalty” wey dem go share. Just the physical ceremony go shift to Lagos.
Many families don accept this arrangement since 2023 because visa wahala don too much.

C. Worst case – do the village one SUPER quiet
If dem no gree shift, then beg them make e be 15-20 people maximum, no professional photographer, no videographer, no asoebi, no IV, everybody must sign NDA (for real). Phones go dey collected at the gate. Then pray make nobody leak am. Risky, but some people still pull am.

D. Last card – change visa strategy small
If her parents too stubborn and village ceremony must happen loud, then forget K-1. Do legal court marriage for Ikoyi registry quiet-quiet, file CR-1/IR-1 spousal visa instead. E dey longer small, but once USCIS see legal marriage, traditional one nor dey too disturb them again.

Bottom line:
Beg, pay fine, shift ceremony to Lagos with heavy respect money, promise the mother of all igbankwu when she land.
90% of Anambra parents don bend once the cash and respect land well.

Make dem nor turn love matter to visa denial matter.

U go dey alright, odogwu! 💪

Any update, holla us.

Nairaland dey ur back.

Bros, ur idea is wild but I see where u’re coming from.
Marriage these days feels like a lifetime trap for too many, and that “for better or worse” vow often turns into silent suffering.

Renewing licenses every 5 years could indeed shake off the complacency, force couples to check in, and make exits cleaner without all the courtroom drama.
No more faking happiness just to avoid stigma; just a handshake and co-parenting vibes if it flops.

But let’s think deeper: drafting sex frequency and duties into a legal contract? That sounds like turning romance into a corporate KPI meeting 😂. What if life hits—illness, job loss, or just aging—and someone can’t meet the “quota”? Fines on top?
E go cause more wahala than it solves, plus courts already overloaded with real crimes. And kids? Shared custody is ideal, but in Naija reality, it often means one parent (usually mum) carrying the load while the other ghosts.

Ur point on collective sadness dragging the nation down is spot on—happy homes build strong societies.
Maybe start with better pre-marriage counseling, easier no-fault divorces, and therapy access instead of fines.

Necessity breeds invention, true, but let’s not invent a system that fines love out of existence.

What do u think, folks?

Would u renew ur vows every 5 years or nah?

1 You’ve only known her 3 months, you never still enter the main road, you don reach junction to dey fight leg-chain and phone password. My guy, this is just the trailer o.

2 Leg-chain no kill person. Nose ring no steal destiny. If those small things dey pepper you now, wait until bigger issues land. Focus on character, not accessories.

3 The phone lockdown + the abortion search you saw + the “my friend used my phone” story + constant sickness + pale face = 99% she did abortion recently, probably for the ex she claimed she “broke up” with.
She’s still bleeding physically and emotionally. That’s why she’s weak and hiding phone.

4 You asked all the right questions before dating and she gave you half-truths. Now the full picture is coming out in pieces.
This is not “small lie”, this is foundation problem.

5 You’re already policing her body jewelry and begging for phone access at 3 months. That energy go tire you when real trust issues show face.

My honest advice (no sugar):

Bros, let me give it to you straight with correct pepper 😂:

You’re in love with a woman who has four kids (eldest 15), and she’s nice, caring, homely, understanding, cooks premium jollof, and still doesn’t clear your account.

My guy, this one na WIFE MATERIAL with four free bonuses attached! 🤣

But let’s talk like men:
1. Four children no be beans. When you marry her, you’re signing up for a whole starting XI. School fees, JAMB, “Daddy I need iPhone 16 for assignment”… all of una go dey speak English together.

2. The 15-year-old go soon reach 18 and fit dey call you “bros” while still raiding fridge at 2 a.m. 😂 Are you ready for that energy?

3. She’s been separated over a year and doesn’t stress you for money? That’s a massive green flag. Many with one child will reset your account before you spell “babe.”
This one is managing four and still has love left to give you. Protect her!

4. The real question isn’t “should I continue?”
It’s: “Can I love these four children like my own, even when they’re forming Gen-Z and dragging me on TikTok?”

If your heart says YES without you first checking Bet9ja balance, then bro, you’ve found a rare treasure.

If you’re already sweating when you calculate school fees, quietly love her from afar and let another man with deeper pocket and stronger heart carry the baton.

Bottom line:

EducationRe: Side Chicks, Fear! Nigerian Wives Can Now Cash Out From Your Adultery — Legally! by infogenius(m): 2:00pm On Nov 26, 2025
Naijalegal:
NIGERIAN WOMEN, GATHER HERE!
You see that side chick stressing your marriage?
You and your children can actually collect LEGIT MONEY from her under Nigerian law!

Yes oh! Under Sections 31 & 32 of the Matrimonial Causes Act, a wife can drag her husband’s side chick to court as a co-respondent for adultery — and the court can award DAMAGES for trying to scatter your home!

And guess what?
That money no be for you alone — you can beg the court to increase the damages for the benefit of your children. Because under Nigerian law, children have the right to grow up in a stable home, not one where side chicks are running up and down causing gbas gbos.

Forget all these side chicks forming “soft life.” Some of them can do anything to destabilize a marriage. ⚠
That’s why the law is very clear:
Don’t just cry. Don’t just pray.
CARRY THEM TO COURT.
Husband + Side Chick = Co-Defendants.
Let the court help you collect your peace and your money.

When courts are calculating damages, they look at the value of the spouse being “stolen” (See Oliver v. Oliver and Scott v. Scott).
Meaning:
You must show the court what you stand to lose if the side chick succeeds — school fees, rent, feeding, holidays… bring all the receipts!
This is how the court knows how much pepper to pour on the side chick.

But hear this part well-well:
You must file your case within 3 years of discovering the adultery.
And you must prove you did NOT condone it.

When the court finally awards you damages?
Just carry the court order to her bank or workplace and seize all her money legally. No shouting. No dragging. Just clean cash.
Sisters, let’s talk like adults for a second.

Yes, the Matrimonial Causes Act technically allows you to sue a side chick for damages (it’s old British law that never got removed).
But in real life, 2025 Nigeria?
Here’s what actually happens when you try:

1 You’ll spend 2-7 years and millions in legal fees chasing someone who has no assets in her name.

2 Most judges will laugh the case out or award ₦200k-₦500k “damages” after you’ve spent ₦5m-₦10m fighting.

3 Your husband (the real problem) will still keep cheating, because the law can’t force love or fidelity.

4 Your children will grow up watching mummy dragging aunty Rose to court on Instagram and newspapers.
That’s the “stable home” you want them to have?

The same energy you want to use to chase side chick, use it to:
• Secure the bag in your own name
• Document everything and file for proper maintenance/child support
• Build yourself to the level where no man can afford to lose you
• Walk if you need to walk (quietly, cleanly, legally)

Chasing side chicks with outdated law is noise.

Securing your future and your children’s future is power.

Collect money from the real source (him), not the symptom (her).

That’s the real flex. 💯
