Who exactly is a night crawler? Its someone who is awake through out the night and getting involved in different activities (good or not too good). Well, in this particular case, its about my lovely #firstimebaby (the night crawler). He has recently developed a habit of exercising himself by crawling at night. Midnight actually. Yesterday was very unique and new experience for me. I got back from work(my parents place) around 5pm and was welcomed by my cousins and aunt. They have been around since noon and they have had a nice time. He was in a jovial mood (obviously, he had eaten and was well fed) and must have played very hard. Upon seeing me, he struggled to come over to me. Well, it has become a tradition that he cries for my attention whenever he sees me. This annoys his mum a bit though because she is like “I have been with him since morning but he runs to you anytime he sees you”, but she knows its only natural he loves me. http://firstimedaddy.com/2016/10/19/new-experience-slept-bath-yesterday/ |

Putting your baby in the car seat may just be dangerous for them. It just so happens that newborn babies may slump forward in the seats while you are not watching and block off their airways which in rare circumstances could kill the child. Research has shown that babies under two months, that are left in for half an hour in the seat, have lower amount of oxygen in their blood while their heart rates increased. Related Post: Five more Reasons Babies Cry It is therefore advisable that an adult sits next to the baby in the seat to make sure the infant is breathing properly. The Research, carried out by Dr Peter Fleming, of Bristol University, warn: ‘There have been reports of deaths of infants who have been left in a sitting position, including in car seats – both on journeys, and when parents have used it as an alternative to a pushchair or cot for the infant to sleep in. http://firstimedaddy.com/2016/10/07/car-seats-might-be-harmful-for-your-baby/

Cutehector:What exactly should he wait for? Being ready for marriage is not determined by age. You can be 40 years and not be matured enough while a 19 year old might be. I believe that they are adults and they should be advised on the benefits of marriage and every other angle to it. It's left to them to decide. Why hold them to ransom and psychologically inflict pain on them. |
Benita27:I am not sure if u have a research project survey that backs up your 80% claim. Secondly, I tell ladies that if they wish for the death of their mother in laws, may they not have sons or may they also pass on before their sons gets married. It's heartless to think mother are just harsh for the sake of it. Though they must know their limits, they should not be wished away. |
NevetsIbot:Okay but I am avoiding it since that 'my pikin' saga I no longer trust any form of teething powder. The last 5 days have been hectic for me. My boy has been running temperature , refused breast milk he even had to do a blood test today meaning that blood had to be drawn from him. He is responding now and I am documenting this new experience of mine on my website http://firstimedaddy.com/our-blog/ So that he can read all about it later. |
NevetsIbot:Does teething powder really work? |
Teething for babies can be a traumatic experience. They go from stooling to increase in temperature to a point that as a parent you would be bothered. My baby is currently experiencing this and I truly praise parents. I have not had quality sleep for more than 3 days now. Though he eats well, I am still concerned. There are a lot of reasons why your baby could cry. As a FirstimeDaddy, there would be numerous times where you would just not know what to do to stop your baby from crying. It happened to me a couple of times but the ones I dread the most is when the crying starts in the middle of the night. You would start by checking the nappies, from there you check if he was hungry. Assuming you resolve these two issues, you would think everything was settled. Not every time. Read more here: http://firstimedaddy.com/2016/09/29/why-do-babies-cry/ |
007Nasky:Well, the guy is a big Nigerian boxing legend. |
Few Doctors, Plenty Patients I really praise our health practitioners. When my wife went to deliver our baby at Somolu General Hospital, I noticed that there was just a single doctor in the labour room. He has a junior (sort of) but he was the only one attending to over 9 women who were in various stages of delivery. I actually believe that is inadequate and the government and private individuals can do more to bridge whatever gap that exists in the health sector. In 2014, when the Federal government ordered the sacking of 16,000 resident doctors across the Federation, there was a huge outcry not only from the medical community, but from the entire health sector. The decision was not only considered drastic, but ill advised and potentially catastrophic because resident doctors a.k.a. trainee doctors, constitute the main support force and backbone for medical practice in the public sector. |
Imaging having to attend to over 20 patients on a daily basis in the delivery room. Just one Doctor! This was the situation at the General Hospital where my wife was delivered of our baby. This can be really stressful for the individual who has to see to different emotions of all the expectant mothers Read more below: http://firstimedaddy.com/2016/09/23/a-case-for-medical-practitioners/ |
