The emotions were mixed, I was joyous and excited. At the same time I was confused.
A Baby is Born - first blog post

Very confused. Why was I confused? Well, I had just been told my lovely wife, the woman I had known since her innocent days, my better half has been delivered of a baby boy. Our very own brand new baby was born on Friday 26th February 2016. It has been a journey of over five years and we had just been gifted a bouncing baby boy by the Almighty.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE A DADDY FOR THE FIRST TIME?

It takes a lot of preparation mentally, physically and financial to become a daddy for the firstime.

You would need to be ready for the changes to come like lack of adequate sleep, inability t determine what I wrong when your baby cries etc.

www.firstimedaddy.com would educate you based on real life experience.

It's my way of giving to the society. My baby is seven months old now and being a daddy for the very first time has been a wonderful experience.

CelebritiesWho Knew Bash Ali Used To Be A Wrestler? by INFOTECH2(op): 5:31pm On Sep 18, 2016
You started as a wrestler. How did you get into boxing?

Boxing was a total coincidence. I was a wrestler when I left Nigeria. In fact, I left on a wrestling scholarship. Mildred Burke Professional School of Wrestling in the USA gave me a scholarship and I left for America in September 1974. But when I got to USA, I saw the wrestlers, all 6feet 9inches, 400pounds, and here I was, 160pounds. I knew they would simply kill me. So, I went to school and was looking for work one day when I saw a poster of Mohamed Ali on the wall and I went in and saw two guys in boxing bout. So, I told the supervisor I would like to spar with one of them, and he told me to come the following day.

I had seen Mohamed Ali, Ken Norton, George Foreman and Joe Frazier on TV. I was excited. But it was not as easy; the first guy I fought nearly killed me.

My first pro fight netted me just $400, and I nearly cried because I had promised my mother I was going to send her money to buy a car and do other things! The guy who fought in the main event netted close to $300,000. So, I decided to take up the sport full-time and also to work hard and be very good at it.

Boxing Record:

Regional and Minor Titles Won

December 03, 1980, USBA Cruiserweight Title
June 19, 1985, NABF Cruiserweight Title
September 23, 1988, Nigerian Heavyweight Title
February 23, 1990, WBC International Cruiserweight Title
July 31, 1993, African Heavyweight Title
September 11, 2000, WBF Cruiserweight Title

Nigerian girls are not smiling o, even in this harsh economic situation angry

Yesterday being Saturday, i decided to hang out a while. I was sipping my cold goldberg peacefully at one of the joints in town when my phone rang, saw it was a flash and decided to call back to knw who flashed me since I didn't save d number. I got to knw it was a girl I met a week ago, Jennifer, a student of Uniben as she claimed (because I've strong doubt now). She asked me where I was and i told her the place, giving her description. In less than 40 mins she appeared on a keke. I paid for her fare and asked her what she wuld like to have. She requested for the biggest size of the peppered fish that was available, with cabbage and other spicy stuffs (3, 500 naira). She also asked for 2 bottles of Snap drinks (500 naira) i come look am with one kain bad eye, when she talk that one. I don vex by that time.

Nonetheless, I didn't bother much because I thought both of us wuld still be the ones to enjoy the delicious fish. I started realizing the scam when she insisted that she want to take the fish home so that her friends culd share with her, saying they're "friends for life" angry E come be like say na film i dey watch. My eyes come dey turn me up and down because Naija economy no get joy now.

What was on my mind now was to make her pay for her greed in the bedroom because the waitress clearly stated that there were other cheaper ones but she displayed greed by going for the pocket-wrecker package!

I was now thinking of how to convince her to sleep over at my house since it's weekend. i gathered courage and made the request. To my greatest surprise, she didn't object but said she wuld get to her house first and drop the fish for her friends. My adrenaline was high! I stopped the nearest keke after footing the bills. She was directing the keke rider. we got to a street and she asked the keke rider to stop in front of a house, she requested that I give her 2k to sort out some things with her friends. I didn't hesitate since she wuld be sleeping at my place. She went into the building and that was the end! I waited for long, by then, the keke man was getting worried. I went into the building and discovered that the fence at the back of the compound had fallen. I met a young man washing clothes who told me she saw the girl entering the next street through the building. When I told him that she's the one I've bin waiting for, he told me that people normally pass through the compound to the next street, that it's a short-cut road!

Each time I call her line and the other line she flashed me with, different girls keep picking the calls, telling me that is it because of my small money that I'm disturbing their lines! I now feel she belongs to a cartel of runs girls who will stop at nothing to milk any hustling guy dry. I've made a resolution that any day I see her anywhere as far as we are both in this country, I'll make sure she vomits my 6k in cash or kind! No be 4 dis harsh economy o!

Your plant is lacking in nutrients...Once this happen, they are prone to diseases and pests attack. What you can do to savage the situation is to use Ginger and garlic extracts on it to reduce the fungi effects troubling the plant...then of course neem oil to handle pests, plus a good dose of liquid fertilizer to resuscitate the plants. You can learn how to make your own organic fertilizer from my thread here https://www.nairaland.com/3004153/resources-organic-farms but if you need ready made ones you can connect with me. I market the All Farmers Association of Nigeria Organic Fertilizer attached below.

Meanwhile, you have to water your plants very well to avoid stressing them. If you don't, no matter the nutrients in the soil, the plants will not be able to use them.
Thanks @organicfoods

I have applied fertiliser like 2weeks ago and I am really not sure it's nutirent issue.

On thing thing discovered though is that my staff used the sprayer that he used to spray maize(nicogold) without rinsing properly.

Nicogold is used to kill weeds on maize fields.

I just found out now so that's another lesson learnt and I have warned him seriously.

Any solutions please?

Couldn't have said it better.

@op: no union is without it's challenges. You don't throw in the trowel at the first major hurdle - especially not with kids involved. Besides, you both have coped thus far without family interference - not an easy task - kudos to you.

What you're facing right now are symptoms of existing issue(s) that have gradually cropped up over a period of time with or without your noticing. Your reactions so far are knee jerks. Like Thorpido mentioned, calm down, find a suitable time when you won't be interrupted, and have a deep heart to heart discussion with your wife to get to the root cause of the problem.

Make sure it's a two way discussion where you both LISTEN to each other. No cutting off the other in mid sentence, definitely no shouting. This isn't the time for point scoring and I'm pretty sure you'd be surprised at what might come out of the discussion. Things either of you probably took for granted.

Remember the saying men are from Mars and women from Venus? That's what happens when proper communication wanes or fizzles out in a union. You aren't mind readers so you do need to have this proper talk to iron things out.

Stay calm and all the best.
Very good advice up there

Secondly note that whatever the outcome. Y need to go back to your family (ies).

You guys are already married against their wishes and I am glad your Wives father s delegates to the wedding.

Retrace your steps to your root. Very important.
AgricultureFarmers : How Do You Stay Healthy? by INFOTECH2(op): 2:17pm On Jun 12, 2016
Farm work can stressful for the farmer especially for the ones that like to get their hands dirty.

Imagine getting to the farm in the morning and you remain busy till evening doing a lot of tasks on the farm to ensure a bountiful harvest.

It's easy to say that everyone should know his or her limits but how do we ensure that we remain strong health wise so we can chop the fruit of our labour.

Even if you have capital to get labour t do all the menial jobs, you would still need t get involved from time to time.

The following steps would guide farmers on how to improve our health:

1. Rest- As simple as this sounds most most us ignore our bodies and simple push on to achieve more results but a simple 15mins breaks on the farm can go a long way to help you maintain good health.

2. Medications- Remember to use your vitamins and painkillers (don't abuse drugs). Our bodies would be tired after a days work o the field especially for the aje butter farmer :-). Its important we visit the clinics for better consultation if we truly feel I.

3. Fruits and Vegetables- if you farm any of these ensure you load up enough (it's not about the money alone). Your immune system would thank you.

4. Sleep- Six hours of sleep is the minimum we need to sustain a healthy body. Get as much as you can.

3. I think i am doing more than what i can control and nobody to help
Health is wealth. You must always ensure you are in good health.

You need to find a helping hand. Labour to work with you on the farm. Visit farms around you and ask for how they source for labour.

Even with labour, we still fall ill.

About the weed, kindly do something fast, since the did not make ridges, get a hoe and uproot them because they will hinder the early growth of your maize.

The same Lord that sat and look on as people victimize and abuse him in the name of this same Lord? His rescuer is a tattooed scantily dressed oyinbo woman. He owe his life to her cos if not for her he would have died a useless death in the name being a witch.
It's the same Lord that put the Jews in the hands of Egyptians before rescuing them.

It's the same Lord that will test you and uplift you once the test has been passed. The Almighty will always test us all. We just need to be steadfast.

It's also true that we have twisted the religion(s) to favour our selfish motives a that is why we humans are so wicked.

This is the best Practical answer yet. Well, I would go into vegetable farming after securing water supply.

Vegetables such as Ugu, water leaf etc and cucumber. Turn them over for two seasons and expand by getting more land and start looking at the export market.
