You are not a fair guy, Oshiomole under APC pulled down the roof of the Edo state assembly in 2014.
Obaseki refused to inaugurate the house properly under APC as governor.
There is no political ideology, APC and PDP are just vehicles to win elections in Nigeria. Shikena!
When Oshiomole did that in 2014 did you clap for him? if not, why are you supporting Obaseki doing what you didn't approve in 2014?

PoliticsRe: Obaseki Family Endorses Ize-iyamu For Governorship by Ingocof(m): 2:36pm On Aug 01, 2020
aguele:
Prominent members of the Obaseki family have endorsed and pledged their support for the candidate f the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, in the September 19 Edo Governorship election.

The endorsement of the APC candidate by the embattled Governor's family on Saturday in a meeting at Ize-Iyamu's private residence in Benin, completes a disappointing week for the PDP's candidate which saw numerous aides, appointees, and other government officials resign their positions to back Ize-Iyamu.

Victor Obaseki, a cousin of Governor Godwin Obaseki, while speaking at the meeting, admitted that although Godwin Obaseki is a kin, he won't be getting the support of the family.

He said :"I am here today in company of my cousins to support Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu."

"Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, the executive governor, is our cousin. Generally, The Obasekis have their own way of doing things; we are a different branch of faith, we are supporting our brother, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu with an unalloyed support fully for him. I have supported him before, and I would continue to support him, we would do all our campaigns for him without let or hindrance, fully from the bottom of our hearts."

On his part, Ize-Iyamu expressed his delight at the support of the Obaseki family, stressing that this serves as a confirmation of the poor administration that Godwin Obaseki has given to Edo state in the past four years.

He also praised the Obaseki family for not allowing sentiments becloud their judgement in their support for who is right to lead Edo state for the next four years.

"Let me thank you for the endorsement. I have known some of you for many years and I am very happy that politics has not strained our relationship."

"It is true as Osaro said that far away in New York, I had the opportunity of meeting with him and other Edolites, where I shared my ambition.
Osaro has been a good gentleman and humble man, and has always declared his support."

"He came out this morning to say, Godwin has not done well, and not because they answer the same surname, would continue to support him and go through the very poor performance that we have seen in the past four years."

"They will not allow the sentiments or even deceit of brotherhood make them vote for somebody they know is not qualified for a position."
At this rate, Godwin will soon depart from Obaseki and join POI.

Napoli beat Arsenal and Chelsea to signing of Osimhen from Lille in £74m deal

The Serie A side fended off competition from Arsenal and Chelsea to sign the Nigeria international.

Osimhen was in demand after he scored 13 goals in 27 Ligue 1 appearances for Lille this season.

Napoli, who confirmed the signing on their official website, will finish in seventh place in Serie A, and will be involved in the Europa League next season.

Osimhen commenced his senior career at Wolfsburg and was sent out on loan to Charleroi, who then activated their option to sign him permanently prior to sanctioning a transfer to Lille last year.
The 21 year old has scored four goals in nine appearances for Nigeria.

Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik has been linked with a move to Juventus, while there have been suggestions that Lille could replace Omishen with Rangers' Alfredo Morelos, although such a deal has yet to materialise.

PoliticsRe: Okoudoh Patrick Iyoha Resigns As DG Of Obaseki/Shaibu Movement, Joins APC by Ingocof(m): 7:16pm On Jul 28, 2020
kahal29:
The State Director-General of Obaseki/Shaibu Movement and Board Member of the Edo State Waste Management Board, Patrick Iyoha and two others have resigned their appointments.

The two others who resigned their appointments are the Chairman of the Edo State Post Primary Education Board, Pastor Gabriel Oiboh and the first member of the board, Osanyemwere Osawe, following alleged pressure being mounted on them to defect to the PDP.

Hon. Iyoha in his resignation letter dated 28th of July, 2020, thanked the Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, for giving him the opportunity to serve the Edo people, but stated that his reasons for resignation is personal.

Similarly, the Chairman of the State Post Primary Education Board, Pastor Gabriel Oiboh, in his own resignation letter, also dated 28th July, 2020, stated that he had considered the political happenings in the state as it affects his person, and the pressure to leave the APC, his party to PDP, a party he left since 2009.

He also stated that having prayerfully considered the options available to him, he has decided to remain in the All Progressives Congress.

Meanwhile, seven Councilors of Oredo Local Government Council, including the Councilor of Governor Godwin Obaseki’s Ward 4, have resisted pressure to defect to the PDP and joined the army of those who have decided to remain in the All Progressives Congress to pitch their tent with Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In the same vein, seven out of 10 Councilors in Uhumwode Local Government Council hav‎e reportedly pitch tent with Pastor Ize-Iyamu.

Recall that the Chief of Staff to governor Obaseki, Taiwo Akerele, two Commissioners, Hon Paul Ohonbamu, Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon Omoua Oni-Okpaku, Commissioner for Environment and Sustenability and several appointees, had resigned their appointments from the Obaseki administration.

SportsRe: Arteta Says He "Does Not Understand The Rules" After VAR Sent Off Arsenal Player by Ingocof(m): 1:46pm On Jul 08, 2020
ogbiwa:
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says he does not understand the use of pitch-side monitors in the Premier League after the decision to send off Eddie Nketiah in the 1-1 draw with Leicester.

Referee Chris Kavanagh initially showed Nketiah a yellow card for his high tackle on Justin James.

But after consulting with the VAR officials and viewing a replay himself, he changed this to red.

"In the last year I have never seen a referee check any images," said Arteta.

"I do not understand the rules. But I can do nothing now."

Arteta was also unhappy at a challenge by a Leicester player he felt should have resulted in a red card that he identified as happening between the 40th and 45th minute.

It is likely he was referring to a clash between Jamie Vardy and Shkodran Mustafi, in which the Foxes striker caught the defender in the face with his heel. This went unpunished.

"It can be a red card but then Leicester have to play with 10 men," Arteta told Sky Sports. "For an incident that happened between the 40th and 45th minute, it has to be a red card as well."

In January this year, the Professional Game Match Officials Limited, the body that manages elite referees, issued guidance that referees should start using pitchside monitors for red card decisions where it is felt they should have the final say.

Prior to that, the only time the monitors have been used in 2019-20 is by Michael Oliver in an FA Cup third-round tie between Crystal Palace and Derby County.

As a result, he upgraded a yellow card for Palace's Luka Milivojevic to a red.

This approach has not been witnessed often since then, with the most notable occasion coming in the game between Southampton and Newcastle in March, when referee Graham Scott upgraded Moussa Djenepo's yellow to a red after consulting the pitchside monitor.

PoliticsConfusion And Resignation by Ingocof(op): 10:53pm On Jul 03, 2020
BREAKING:

PDP Chieftain Tony Okonigene Dump Party, Exposes Tax Collectors Crying About Esan Agenda

JUST TO SET THE RECORDS STRAIGHT

I have received several inquiries through phone calls and personal visits as to why I decided to resign from the PDP, a party that I have laboured to keep afloat in Edo state over the years in the wilderness. The surprise is that I stood firm with the party in opposition and decided to take a walk when the party has been gifted with power in the state.

Before I progress, let me pay glowing tribute to my principal, Engr Gideon Ikhine FNSE. This is a man who singlehandedly with the help of his Edo Restoration 2020 team, brought the PDP in Edo State from the dead to life. For 58 weeks , against the hostilities of the PDP establishment from Edo to Rivers down to Abuja, Engr Gideon Ikhine and his Restoration team, traversed the whole 192 wards in the 18 Local Government Areas in the state to wake up the party members with his message of hope. It is no hidden fact that for Engr Gideon Ikhine, most members of the party including the National Assembly members, would have left because of the impunity and injustices perpetuated by Chief Dan Orbih and his cohorts during the state Congresses.

Yet for no just cause but selfish reasons, some of these leaders fought night and day to frustrate his ambition.

The high point was the selling of the party to the APC faction led by Governor Godwin Obaseki when they saw that Engr Gideon Ikhine was set to win the primary. For them, anyone can get the ticket but not Gideon Ikhine.

With all the blackmail by the leaders of the party after collecting huge amount of money from the governor ( which prompted Governor Wike to refer to them as tax collectors), Engr Gideon Ikhine stepped down without collecting nor demanding a dime. His only demand from the governor was a promise that he would handover to the Edo Central Senatorial District after his tenure. He even handed over his ₦500million campaign headquarters to the governor.

I have asked the leaders of the PDP severally ; What is the pact agreed with the governor, safe guarding the members of the PDP who have stood firm in the wilderness years, before trading off the governorship and deputy governorship tickets? Nobody has been able to give any answer. The reasons are not far fetched. There was obviously non.

While the National Assembly members were concerned about the governor securing their third tenure bids, the party leaders had their eyes set on the money the governor brought. They had no time to think of the political security of their followers. The PDP leadership was so divided along personal ambitions that they went to negotiate with the governor individually and not collectively as a party. Thus the welfare and political security of the faithful PDP members were relegated to the background.

Personally, I had the opportunity to continue winning and dinning at the top based on my position and relationship with the powers that be. My principal Engr Gideon Ikhine is currently the Co-DG of the Edo State PDP campaign team. That places me in a vantage position as his spokesman. I have had a 40 minutes personal audience with His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki on his invitation to discuss the way forward. There is virtually no top leader in the party that I cannot relate with but what of the teeming PDP faithful who have stood with the party?. As at today, not even the state chairman can tell how the campaigns will be executed. The party has been sold to people who do not believe in the ideals and manifesto of the PDP but rather see it as a vehicle to hold onto power at all cost. Our leaders are overwhelmed with the euphoria of entering government house after a long time and the expected state funds.

One of my driving motives in the PDP was that I saw it as the quickest road to realizing the Esan Agenda. This was practically within our grasp but was scuttled by leaders who put forward their personal ambitions before the collective progress of the Esan project.

Now that two candidates have emerged from Edo South, we are faced with the inevitable to choose between waiting for 8 years or 12 years to realize the Esan Agenda. I will in due course explain more on this.

The treatment meted out to the delegates by the APC members was as a result of the blank cheque given to them by our leaders. The delegates were put in pairs in hotel rooms in this COVID 19 pandemic period even when we were reliably informed that money was made available for one person per room. There was no arrangement for feeding. After much protests, they came to start sharing #1,500, #2000, #3000 as the case maybe. No explanation was given. The expectations of the delegates were short changed round. The next day delegates from Edo Central were ejected from their rooms and forced to risk their lives to go back to Ishan late.
All through these ordeals, our PDP leaders did not bother to come and check on how the delegates were coping. No one has deemed it fit to apologise or explain what happened. No meeting has been called to explain to the people the terms negotiated with the governor. As a member of the state exco, I cannot tell where we are going. Not even the state chairman nor any leader of our party can say what the next step is. We are all waiting for strangers to lead the way. It is as if the PDP never had members nor structure in Edo state.

I have considered and reflected on the events and current status of the PDP. I am one person who discharges his responsibilities to party passionately. My spirit does not align with the PDP as currently constituted. I cannot in all honesty come out to campaign for a man I campaigned against in the last election.

I wish the PDP in Edo state the very best. It is time for me to take a bow and I believe that the ovation is loudest at this time.

I wish to thank the leaders and members who have stood by me throughout. Space will not permit me to start mentioning individuals.

God bless us all.

TONY OKONIGENE
Former Edo PDP State Executive Member
