just one of those things - a well known fact in advertising.
however, the imported products [from the west] dont always have this problem. I take it you're in nigeria.

also, some other items like bournvita, etc are ok, at least when i was there.

there was this cookie [actually a cookie] which i used to buy ages ago. Made in nigeria.

i cant remember the name, but it had very plain packaging [no photos or anything sef- just the name and other info] even though it tasted as good as any chocolate chip cookie found in the west.

fan ice also has plain covers but produces quality stuff, to the best of my knowledge.
Delebayo:
undecided I have always wondered that, biscuits and most sachet meals look good on the outside than the actual content. The saying "don't judge a book by it cover" is absolutely true, really we are not getting value for our money angry I'll make sure i see shocked what before buying
It has nothin' to do with country. Its just false advertising. I remember a couple of semesters ago, in my print making and packaging class we were taught how to make things how to either look like what not or be what their not. Its nothin' new. Its all about sellin' the product and makin' money. Ahhhhh this is why I love adverting so much. Can't wait to graduate and put my degree to good use.
CultureRe: Why Do White People Get Scared Of The African Americans? by InkedNerd(f): 10:16am On Dec 13, 2010
lovelylady:
I have always wondered the same thing. One day I was going for one of my walks minding my own business. I had to cross the street and ended having to walk in front of this older white lady's car. As I walked across the street I heard her doors lock. I just looked at her and shook my head. From what I have been told white people think that we are violent people.
Gee, that's funny given the fact that they have done their fair share of violent acts all over the world.

@OP: Its all based on racism. There's always the belief/notion that all black people are the same. I was once at a Chinese restaurant with a group people [mostly black] and there was a white man with family. The moment we walked into the restaurant, the man's eyes widened. We were seated next to the white man and his family. For a couple of seconds, the man and his wife stared at us and although their food was still being given to them, he quickly gathered his wife and son and left the restaurant. When my white friend looked at me then whispered to me, "What a racist!!! Look at how just he up and left because he saw some black people." I've got a bunch of other stories similar to that one a well.

Hav tried lot of things antibiotics, Benzoyl peroxide, clindamycin gel, accutean et.c but all seems to prove negative. Just dont know wat 2 do again
Eh ya, sorry to hear that. Have you tried to changing your diet? For example, I noticed that if I eat food that has a lot of dairy or eggs, I break out a bit. It usually clears up though in about two days. Have you tried rubbing fresh lemons, apple cider vinegar, or garlic on your acne? FYI, it may sting a bit if you try it. Here's a link for some info >>> http://www.ayurvediccure.com/articles/acne_cure.htm and www.acne.org/ . What methods have you tried / used in order to try and get rid of your pimples?

You don't have children? You can adopt me grin
Lmao, OP adopt me too grin.

@OP: I understand where you are comin' from but you need to keep in mind at the end of the day, a dog is animal and like most animals, it can fend for itself. All animals are genetically Just like feral dogs, they can always fend for themselves. Do you honestly think that that dog will miss you. What some people seem to forget is that the reason these animals show you affection is because you show them attention. They are only reciprocating what you put out. I honestly think that money would be better suited for a charity [even if it is an animal charity] than to go to your dog. You can always give your dog to someone who you know is a dog lover and can provide a care for it. Ultimately, the decision is up to you.

Just wondering, now if you leave your money for your dog and so someone can care for it when you pass on, what makes you think that person won't run off with your money and disregard your dog?

NAJALYN:
Hi johndoe200, your post dated December 03, 2010 states "Sorry to have to correct you, I am a Nigerian. I can see from your post that you are either a semi illiterate or a blind fanatic (I bet you are a "born again" Christian). Look you go on about Nigerian Culture and Christianity on the assumption that everyone agrees that these are intrinsically superior to the cultures of other people. Well sorry, I don't agree. I am not canvassing the introduction of polyandy in Nigeria, but I can appreciate that for those people and in those places where this is their culture, there is nothing that makes them the epitome of evil on earth. Nor do I believe that God (theirs or yours) has or will punish them for their culture." Looking at your posts johndoe200, you are in support of polyandy. So why say you are not canvassing the introduction of polyandy in Nigeria? The fact remains that God MUST punish anyone who goes contrary to his laws, & you can not change that. And for the records, it does not portray you in good light to pour insults on fellow Nairalanders. Responding to your aspersions cast on my person will only make me a worst offender. We are in a forum here, not a battle field. All the best.
Lmao, let 'em know.

FoodRe: Advice Pls!nutritional Meal For A 2yr Old by InkedNerd(f): 2:33am On Dec 13, 2010
@OP: The things you mentioned for lunch and dinner aren't particularly healthy for a 2 year old, especially the Indomie. Things such as Indomie should be eaten in moderation since they tend to have a lot of sodium in it. When I was two years old, my mom fed me a lot of fruits vegetables, grains, legumes, and nuts. Use this food pyramid as a guideline when you feed him. For more info, use the information provided on this site--its got tons of helpful stuff on nutrition for children in different stages >>> http://www.mypyramid.gov/kids/index.html
