yorke:Oh well. |
Ooooh, I love K'naan, Tinie Tempah, and Mr Husdon. I kinda like N-Dubz when their not acting like i.diots |

Bella87, I love your profile pic ![]() |
yorke:Get over yourself. I wasn't bashing you. Had the thread been about men and their wishes in women you wouldn't have said that. Did it suddenly become a crime for a woman to wish for something nice in life? Its no different from a man wishing for something nice in life. If you wanna take my comment personally be my guest. |
but friendship can lead to a relationship?
Ok, but that doesn't mean it needs to be referred as 'friendship'. What it seems like is intentional/unintentional flirting. Every time I keep hearing guys and girls on NL talk about 'friendship', it throws me off when I read certain things. Its seems like the term 'friendship' is used very loosely around here. |
@OP: No, you are not being insecure. Based on what you have said she's told you, you have every reason to be somewhat anxious about her relationship with these male friends. I'm not saying that you should tell her to stop hanging out with her male friend you might wanna have another talk wither her about how its making you feel. There's nothing wrong with having male friends, but it appears that she may unknowingly be walking a fine line between friendship and unintentional flirting. Let her know that you have thought this through and that its not coming from a place of insecurity but rather its coming from a place of love. Perhaps letting her know that there are certain things that she has said that may somehow lead this male friend to want to take things a step further. Try to explain to her or ask her how she's feel if the shoe were on the other foot. Let her know that had you been in the same situation she wee in, you wouldn't have acted in the same manner that she did. |
yorke:I suppose you should keep on dreamin' when you think of being with a good woman. Stop tryin' to rain on peoples' parade. Smh. |
swiftycool:Lmao, nah I wasn't livid just felt like writing that. I've only slapped one guy in my entire life and that was back when I was 11 years old. I have no problem wit heartache in a relationship. If a relationship doesn't go well, all I can do is move on and live my life. If I can learn something positive from the relationship then I'm good |
I want a man who is tall, worldly, intelligent, compassionate, and open minded. |
debbybos:Sorry debbbos, bu I can't really find much about jojoba oil in Nigeria. I think the only way you'd be able to purchase it is online. While searching online, I found a website that has distributors in Nigeria that sell sunflower oil which is also good for the skin. Here's a link to the site >>> http://www.alibaba.com/countrysearch/NG/sunflower_oil.html . If you're going to purchase from them, I would suggest you purchase the unrefined one sunflower oil. |
To any of the rubbish men I have encountered and perhaps will encounter in the future, I apologize for not slappin' the hell out of you sooner. Have a wonderful life after I introduce you to my hand. With love, Inked_Nerd |

OFF TOPIC: Why do you people on Nairaland refer to a potential relationship as 'friendship'? Umm, last time I checked when a person is trying to get in your pants or trying to date you, it wasn't 'friendship'. |
Personally, I think Miss Nigeria looks better. I'm not saying it because I'm Nigerian--I'm saying it because that's just my opinion. With all honesty, I just don't see what you all see in Miss Ivory Coast, she practically looks like she's falling asleep in the photo. |
Personally, I would/could never be with such a man. If we are in a committed relationship then it is a partnership. I wasn't raised to be submissive to anyone whether male or female. If I am dating someone we are in the relationship as equals and should respect one another as equals. Like I've always said, I'd never treat anyone in a manner that I know I wouldn't want to be treated. |
afime:^^^ Well said afime. @Morayo2006: Just be yourself. With time your love for her son will show and she will see that you genuinely want to be in a committed relationship with her son. I will advise you though to brush up on Yoruba culture. There are some things that may seen "normal" or acceptable within your culture but totally out of line in another culture. Gook luck, hope everything works out. |
Hehehe, its kinda funny. It reminds me when I was with my Ghanaian dude and he speaks to is family on the phone. I know he's not talking about me but kinda makes me giggle, I don't know hwy though. I guess that's the beauty of language. |
MzDarkSkin:She's not African but she is biracial and of African and Italian decent. Technically speaking, she is an American who just happens to be of African and Italian lineage. |
