Inked u tink pls bcoz your mouth is wide u can use it 2 bash on pple n say trash? Are u d only 1 here? Pls nxt time dnt quote me.
Get over yourself. I wasn't bashing you. Had the thread been about men and their wishes in women you wouldn't have said that. Did it suddenly become a crime for a woman to wish for something nice in life? Its no different from a man wishing for something nice in life. If you wanna take my comment personally be my guest.
but friendship can lead to a relationship?
Ok, but that doesn't mean it needs to be referred as 'friendship'. What it seems like is intentional/unintentional flirting. Every time I keep hearing guys and girls  on NL talk about 'friendship', it throws me off when I read certain things. Its seems like the term 'friendship' is used very loosely around here.
RomanceRe: Is It True That I Am Insecure? by InkedNerd(f): 8:26am On Oct 23, 2010
@OP: No, you are not being insecure. Based on what you have said she's told you, you have every reason to be somewhat anxious about her relationship with these male friends. I'm not saying that you should tell her to stop hanging out with her male friend you might wanna have another talk wither her about how its making you feel. There's nothing wrong with having male friends, but it appears that she may unknowingly be walking a fine line between friendship and unintentional flirting. Let her know that you have thought this through and that its not coming from a place of insecurity but rather its coming from a place of love. Perhaps letting her know that there are certain things that she has said that may somehow lead this male friend to want to take things a step further. Try to explain to her or ask her how she's feel if the shoe were on the other foot. Let her know that had you been in the same situation she wee in, you wouldn't have acted in the same manner that she did.

Wow Inkie, that sounded kinda livid, never really seen u this way, hope u got a good one now tho  wink
Lmao, nah I wasn't livid just felt like writing that. I've only slapped one guy in my entire life and that was back when I was 11 years old. I have no problem wit heartache in a relationship. If a relationship doesn't go well, all I can do is move on and live my life. If  I can learn something positive from the relationship then I'm good wink

@inked thanks so much i truly appreciated u wink
Sorry debbbos, bu I can't really find much about jojoba oil in Nigeria. I think the only way you'd be able to purchase it is online. While searching online, I found a website that has distributors in Nigeria that sell sunflower oil which is also good for the skin. Here's a link to the site >>> http://www.alibaba.com/countrysearch/NG/sunflower_oil.html . If you're going to purchase from them, I would suggest you purchase the unrefined one sunflower oil.

OFF TOPIC: Why do you people on Nairaland refer to a potential relationship as 'friendship'? Umm, last time I checked when a person is trying to get in your pants or trying to date you, it wasn't 'friendship'.
CelebritiesRe: I'll Go For Miss Cote D Ivoire In Miss World: by InkedNerd(f): 6:21am On Oct 23, 2010
Personally, I think Miss Nigeria looks better. I'm not saying it because I'm Nigerian--I'm saying it because that's just my opinion. With all honesty, I just don't see what you all see in Miss Ivory Coast, she practically looks like she's falling asleep in the photo.
RomanceRe: Can't A Woman Have A Say In A Relationship by InkedNerd(f): 4:24am On Oct 23, 2010
Personally, I would/could never be with such a man. If we are in a committed relationship then it is a partnership. I wasn't raised to be submissive to anyone whether male or female. If I am dating someone we are in the relationship as equals and should respect one another as equals. Like I've always said, I'd never treat anyone in a manner that I know I wouldn't want to be treated.
CultureRe: The Age Gap And Meeting The Mother For The First Time by InkedNerd(f): 4:14am On Oct 23, 2010
afime:
Interesting! Where are you from? I posted a comment a few days ago about my age gap relationship with my husband. I am from the caribbean and he is a lovely Igbo man. He is considerably younger than me and we have totally different backgrounds (although some things are quite similar). I was nervous about  meeting his parents for the first time. The way I handled it was to just be myself. Where I am from, we do not bow. I have never bowed to my mother in law and don't intend to. I don't even bow to my husband. To do so would mean I am being fake. To me it is not necessary to do that to show respect. I love my Igbo family dearly and they love me too.   I called her mama from our first meeting and I did buy her a gift, some chocolates and a toiletry set. I am learning Igbo but I didn't greet her with the language. I greeted her in English because that is the language I speak. Since we have been married for a while now, I do say the odd word to her in Igbo and she appreciates it and helps me with my pronouciation. My MIL does not judge me. She's a beautiful woman and the best gift I can give her is by looking after her son and grandchildren to the best of my ability. MIL's will know if you are faking it so just be yourself. Don't over do it - it will be to obvious. Keep the conversation general. Believe it or not -age gap relationships in Nigeria are not that uncommon. If it's to be it will be - no matter what the ages of the couple are.

Personally, I couldn't give a raas what people want to say about me and mine. We have lasted longer than most. However, if you look like an old hag and your boyfriend is fine -you are bound to have problems grin Look after your body oh!
^^^ Well said afime.

@Morayo2006: Just be yourself. With time your love for her son will show and she will see that you genuinely want to be in a committed relationship with her son. I will advise you though to brush up on Yoruba culture. There are some things that may seen "normal" or acceptable within your culture but totally out of line in another culture. Gook luck, hope everything works out.
CultureRe: Is It Rude To Speak Your Language With Your Friend When No One Else In The Group by InkedNerd(f): 4:05am On Oct 23, 2010
Hehehe, its kinda funny. It reminds me when I was with my Ghanaian dude and he speaks to is family on the phone. I know he's not talking about me but kinda makes me giggle, I don't know hwy though. I guess that's the beauty of language.
CelebritiesRe: Amber Rose (Kanye West's Girlfriend) by InkedNerd(f): 3:17am On Oct 23, 2010
MzDarkSkin:
@Sean T Amber Rose is African. She is from Cape Verde where a lot of the population is Bi-racial or creole (when deeply mixed biracial ppl have children together). She is also bi-sexual and a stripper (how Kanye met her).
She's not African but she is biracial and of African and Italian decent. Technically speaking, she is an American who just happens to be of African and Italian lineage.
