OYINBOGOJU:What do you mean? His family didn't have a problem with us being together. He just wanted me to meet his grandmother first because he was very close to her. |

damas11111:Lmao, we don't need to sit and wonder. We already know what type he is ![]() |
googles:Hmmm, I still would have called those dragging guys and make sure they drag am well well . Next time he go think twice before he go borrow money ![]() |
Aladunni:Hahaha ![]() favouredjb:Hmmm, interesting combo. I'm gonna look into that . |
googles:What?!?!?!?! Ok, now I feel like beating you with a stick . Ah ah, why didn't you get your money? If I were you, I would have found those guys that were dragging him around so they can drag him some more. |
googles:Eh ya, sorry to hear that. . . I'm not gonna lie though, I giggled a little when you called yourself mumu . |
i was going to ask that but knowing how daring some people are willing to go as regards to certain 'cures' you'd be surprise they wouldnt mind "paying" young girls for their blood or even going through the trash to pick used pads
Lmao, let them pay for menstrual blood. Hehehe, it would be funny though if there was actual information to back up the poster's claims. |
Oh my Lord. Let the fighting begin. I'm gonna keep an eye on this thread. |
OYINBOGOJU:Hmmm, well like I said, they no better than to question me about me dating people of other ethnic groups. I have never had a situation where I wasn't accepted by my boyfriends family. I had a Mexican boyfriend before but his family didn't seem to mind that I was black or Nigerian and well, my parents just didn't care. As a matter of fact, the first person he told about our relationship was his grandmother and she was totally cool with it. By now, they've [my parents] pretty much figured out that I'll do whatever I want . I've never had a moment where I had to defend/not defend my relationship or the person that I am with. |
@OYINBOGOJU: I've never had an experience like yours, but one of my cousins has a girlfriend who is a white English girl and his mother is giving him hell about his relationship with the girl. The poor girl sends me messages because she's so torn up about the issue because she's afraid of driving a wedge in out family. My parents and friend know better than to question my relationships with people of another ethnicity. |
I did say something. Did you see that I edited it? ![]() |
Hmmm, sorry to hear that ![]() |
michelin89:I understand what you're saying but ultimately it is up to her decide. There are many couples who don't share the same cultural and moral values and still manage to make it work. For example, my mother has a Jewish co-worker who is married to a Muslim man. When they first wanted to get married, the Jewish woman's mother gave the same warning as the poster's mother. In the end, my mother's co-worker followed her heart and went with her gut despite what her mother had told her and till this day they are still married. By the way, the mother of the Muslim man was against the relationship/marriage as well. Unfortunately, for her, she passed away before she could see what their relationship had grown to be. |

The topic was interesting though, just didn't wanna answer the question. I was curious to see what everyone else's opinions were. |
ElRazur:Hmmm, ok. Well, I'm kind of in a situation like that at the moment. With all honesty, I wouldn't mind giving it another go. Some years ago, there was a Cuban guy that I met. Upon meeting this man, we really hit it off. I liked him and I knew that he liked me but at that time, we couldn't really be together and it seemed as though after some time we grew apart. Just recently I saw the same guy I had met years ago, on the train while I was on my way home one afternoon. I was very tempted to go speak to him and perhaps rekindle our lost relationship, but I decided to kept quiet and act as casual as possible. Usually I try to go with my gut when it comes to things of this matter. Whether or not I try to rekindle a romance with an old flame will/may depend of my past relationship with that person, how the person is presently [if I am aware of how their life is going], and whether or not I truly want to be with that person. |
torjim:Oh no . I noticed there's lots of Nigerians there.
Ummmm. . . . What the street and house number. . . . . ?
lol, I'm not gonna tell you . |
ElRazur has a point. Only you can decide what your future will be with this man. You shouldn't let your mother's horror stories be the deciding factor on whether or not you want a future with this man. Follow your heart, not your mother's tongue otherwise you may be left asking yourself "What if?" |
ElRazur:Before I can give you a complete answer, I'm curious to know, what exactly do you mean by "So you meet someone and for whatever reason you guys went each others way."? Do you mean that we were in an actual relationship with the individual or that w met someone and we weren't in a relationship and we sorta got along well but went our separate ways? |
Vic2k3:Sweetie, I am not a bad girl. Besides, men do the same thing. As for your iron pants, I go bring chain saw and cut am off . |

Lady temi:No mind am, I was pointing that out the the foolish men but they dey act like he-goats. They want to generalize and when you do the same, then they get all up in arms. |
queeneve:lmao, funny lady. |
