Good morning house.
I just registered for the IELTSUKVI this morning. There are a bunch of stuffs bothering me which I need to be cleared before I pay.
1: UKVI did not ask me to upload my passport scanned photo. They just asked me to fill in the details. Is this right?
2: Here, "Are you planning to study bachelor's or post graduate degree at a uk university or college with UKVI Highly trusted sponsor (HTS) status?" I ticked NO.. I'm I safe? Any implications?
3: Here "How long have you being studying English language?" I ticked 9yrs and more. (person don dey learn english since nursery school till Nursing school) Hope I'm safe o?

Now we know you are atleast learning from your psychiatric posting boy. Or prolly your copy and pasting skills are on fleek. Nonetheless, still shut the motherfrigging up son. |

AjaoSandra: Extra security I guess, video Cam for the #speaking instead of an audio recorder used in the normal IELTS, and an advanced way of sucking money out of med personnels, cos that's where most doctors in Naija opt for before any other place, it's easier for them there. Every other thing in the exam is same, the questions, the method, do's and dont's They should remove the money for the vidoe camera. I don't want it. |

If you no too hold bar, you fit go through them, they are reliable.... The major hassle is getting the IELTS cut off n you have it, the rest is easy from there...... You should contact them...... God bless you my sister. I go run their Mata when my IELTS don ready. U do well. |

gratefulme40: Cbt costs about £140. I am not sure about Naira equivalent as the rate changes everyday.
No, they don't send you resource material for Cbt just read random things online but focus on UK guidelines.
As per hospita, any NHS trust is good for a start as they are the ones that have the right training package for OSCE Thanks for the rundown... Na to begin save for the £140 be my agenda now. |

mamajaz: By his grace, my form AGOS - 40, will be leaving the shores of Nigeria today for Melbourne, although they claimed naija might not get that positive, there's room for the bridging program which will be footed by me ( about AUD 11500, ( hussy gave me a go ahead, although we aren't so financially on the buoyant side, we will try our best). I believe, its all about passion, preference and sacrifice. Av made efforts to gather documents as much as my hands could touch, having passed through three different schools made it note financially tasking. All in all, I remain hopeful. Meanwhile, I av filled my UK form to a stage but yet to get to where I will fill in my IELTS ref number Slowlybtsurely, I will get there. So, incredible, I will keep you and the house posted on further developments. May God pick our calls oh. Chai!!! See as I dey happy for you oo. The waka go favour you my sister. E must favour you in Jesus name Amen.. Have scheduled my IELTS, will be writing come 20th July in Lagos... Already preparing on my free time. The writing aspect na serious headache... I just hope say nor be so other sections go be. PS: I will appreciate any tips and tricks on the IELTS levels. I need all I can get now |

WellEndowed: Ah. Sponsor you for bridging program? lai lai. NT will only sponsor you after you have your registration
Honestly though, they sponsor nurses like crazy there. Too many sponsored foreign trained health care workers in NT Baba, the thing nor be small matter. Abeg by registration you mean gambling to see if AHPRA will come through? Honestly, if the funds to try it out is there, I wouldn't hesitate. Right now, I just want to channel all energy and resources towards one sure bet (UK or Ireland). E nor get as I go pass IELTS and CBT then go up there and fail OSCE... With all this anger in me? Ha, I just can't fail o. It's not an option. Make God observe me walahi... Naija matter dey frustrate. |

I appreciate the prompt response.
Just a quick one, how much does CBT cost in Naira?
Are their resource materials for preparations on it?
How do one find a good hospital to apply for in UK? |

Hugging offerings and Pearson Vue tricks..
Anyway, in regards to my Australia waka based on Nursing level.
I saw somewhere in the thread where Northern Territories of Australia was referenced as a hot cake point of entry. I went ahead to carryout my research on the way to access it. I picked Darwin (a town in NT Australia) and searched for recruitment agencies. Next, I found one. I filled out the form online and sent to them.
Yesterday, I got a reply.
Firstly, I was to get registered with AHPRA and then resend the CV to proceed.
They suggested I check if my country was among the nations that are likely to be registered by AHPRA.
Well I was not surprised when I clicked the link and found out that Nigeria was among the long list of countries that "are likely to not get accredited with AHPRA".
I sent another mail informing them and asking if there was any sponsored bridging program that can be explored of which they promptly replied No. They said any bridging program is pursued independently and they wish me luck if I should choose to go ahead with it.
All focus is now diverted fully to UK and Ireland. Oga gratefulme40 if you don't mind, kindly point out the pros and cons of these two. Which is the best way to approach?
Nail IELTS and let recruitment agencies take over (they will pay for all exams afterwards and flight ticket)
Or proceed solo as you did and get employement offer directly which will foot the osce bill.
Thanks in advance |

auschris: If the US is your most preferred destination, by all means, go for it. A lot can change with you having NCLEX-RN. You might be attractive to other recruiters. No be only avant dey market. The 2year experience in an acute unit of a 100 bedded hospital is a criteria that must be met with Avant I guess? |
Travel › Re: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by Inkredible(m): 1:12pm On May 21, 2017 |
barbiee: I agree with @Auschris, cgfns doesn't have to take one year to complete the CES order. It depends on when they receive your documents. If you are very sure of acing Nclex on your own without the help of any recruiting agency then by all means go for it. I heard NNAS takes a longer period to complete the evaluation unlike cgfns. You just have to be patient. If you are in a hurry to leave Naija then try Dubai. In less than 3 months you will be out of Nigeria. All I ever hear when people talk about Dubai is menial jobs.. I haven't been opportuned to come across any comprehensive nursing employment protocols involved there. Kinda weird innit? |
