Would you like to be the sole breadwinner of your family? I m not entirely how buoyant you will be if that happens no matter how much you make here.

It's good for everyone to be independent.
It does not corelate with the exchange rate on who's bread and butter winning.

Do you know if they're the ones even sending money to me? cheesy

Abeg o! Dip shall continue...

Do you still get water-satisfied after drinking it this way? Like, doesn't it feel like you've just had juice or something?
Naa fam.. Boiled water always tastes funny to me. So I mask it up with these or just freeze the bejesus out of it.

I'm actually quite used to the taste of these now that ordinary water just not fun anymore.

Good Morning everyone.

This is a weird question but I just want to know, what type of water do you guys drink at home?

I was advised that tap is safe. I've also read a couple articles/forum comments on the Internet saying that UK tap is safe for drinking at home.

I just want to make sure I'm not alone wink
I boil my water, cool it. Then garnish it and drink away.

Besides I'm not keen on consuming DEHA and I try to reduce the amount of plastic waste in circulation.

Your choice Las Las .

To our healthcare workers in the house.

I want to thank you guys immensely for putting up with the COVID 19 fight and kicking it's behind gradually. You're loved, respected and well valued members of the society.

Don't feel sad if you have to refuse to treat or stay off work for a while due to stress from all that's going on; lack of PPE, adequate mental stress support etc. You are absolutely in the right. Don't forget, you're human as well.

The world owes you, remember that. You'll go down in history as legends for being in the health care industry when earth was ravaged with a virus.

Take pictures so your great-grandchildren will flex in future, that they come from a bloodline of heroes. Because that's what you are, heroes. Every Single One of Yous.

I believe by now, you'd have realized people will still have different opinions about you.

Most popular of them being; "it's what you signed up for." "You shouldn't be a doc or nurse etc if you can't stick it."

It's fine, you don't have to feel bad about it. They're just opinions. They know no better.

You deserve a pay raise and adequate staffing. You deserve better for this single act of bravery. But we know how the world works. "Whataboutisim" will kill that in an instant.

However, we do hope when all these is over, the whole world will realize how valuable you are and do the needful.

Stay safe. Stay alive.

Thanks my love. My problem is not even busy areas or not. Just little mistakes. Like yesterday, I missed a right turn (I didn’t know I was meant to pull into the service lane), so I got shocked when I noticed my mistake and just stepped in the brakes. No minor. Just that I stepped on my brakes without looking at my mirror.

I tried to explain to the instructor that it was nerves that I panicked, but no use. I know it’s a mistake but haba. Small mercy now.
You could have been easily rear ended by another driver when you brake suddenly. It’s not the end of the world though. Better luck next time.

Your instructor should know all the test routes. Mine did and I practiced on all the routes. During my test, it was just a cruise and banter with the examiner.

My few tips are:

Be calm. Whatever is the outcome at the end, has been destined. You can’t change it. However, do your very best.

Mindfulness: Complete one task at a time. Anticipate well ahead. I was thought to assume the first three drivers in front are drunk teens.

Checks and balances: Keep in mind this is your hard earned money. You’ve paid to prove your worth to some stranger who you probably drive better than on a normal day. Prove them wrong!

All the best and good luck wink

My people, I am about to rent a 2 bedroom flat. The heating is electrical and here is the EPC rating. Can anyone tell me roughly what to expect as monthly bills especially as winter is almost here
The rating on this property is not that bad o depending on what heats up the property (gas, oil or electric). They get expensive in that's order from my tiny experience.

If it's not well insulated or double glazed, that's where the problem comes from. The testings are carried out every 10 years (according to these house agents). So basically, property must have been improved or otherwise over the years.

My little way of checking when I go viewing property is,

I schedule in the morning (first appointment) when weather is still cold. The colder the better.

If house is empty, I lock the windows and switch on the heating and observe how long it takes to heat up. Whilst checking out other things in the house ofcourse.

If it's occupied and tenant is still there, I find a way to leave my number with them without the agent or landlord knowing. This way, you'll get every info you need on the property, good and bad.

To be sincere, some won't ring you, but there's no harm in trying.
