I need advice concerning my wife, i met my wife about 15 years ago when all she had was a G12 certificate.

I had just started work and running a small business at that time, we got talking and later started dating, her parents were incapable of supporting her to further her education.

I wanted to help, which i did and I'm now regretting because she has become something else, she's equally become rude and pompous.

She's a very smart lady, i put the business in her care and she grew it, i saw the potential and sponsored her to do Accounts which i paid for, for almost 4 years.

I found her a job at one of the financial institutions, her performance was amazing, she was sponsored to take up a course in banking and finance which she finished and got a promotion which came with good benefits, that's when problems started in our marriage.

She just changed, we have 2 kids together, we no longer communicate efficiently in all areas of marriage and she just asked me for divorce saying ive used her and she wants to be free, i got the shock of my life, i didn't take her seriously until i came home from work about a month ago, i found the kids had left with all their belongings including my wife's stuff, i called her, she just told me i,ll be hearing from her lawyer soon and that she'll pay me back for everything.

Her mother has tried to advise her, but she asked her people to pay back everything i paid, meetings have been called, but she doesn't attend.

I just got knowledge, the company is renting a lavish house for her and everything, i decided to let things be, but she keeps provoking me, im here minding my business, she'll be sending provocative msgs, just last week Friday, i got off from work and found my kids outside my gate, i didn't want to alarm the situation, but all they said was that they miss me and asking why me and their mother are staying in separate houses, i didn't want to give them bad news i told them its because of work and that we are fine, she later comes home very angry as though i got the kids, starts shouting at me and actually slapped me and warned me never to come near the kids without her permission, this all happened in our bedroom, that's how she left.

She got a restraining order and reported that i was abusive and threatening to kill her, i didn't want to fight it, i just let things be, but my family want me to sue her for defamation cause that might affect my custody plea, ive resolved i want to let her be, but most of the guidance ive gotten is i should fight back, i need advice from the forum on how i can deal with this issue Please.

Here is the full video of the Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 which took off from Addis Ababa to Nairobi and crashed killing 157 people.

Investigations indicate that shortly after V1 speed (V1 is the speed beyond which take-off can no longer be aborted) the crew experienced difficulties and requested permission to return to the airport.

The flight 302 was climbing out when the aircraft leveled out at about 9,000ft above sea level. Radar contact was lost about 6 minutes later. The picture of the crash site indicated a high speed impact with the aircraft disintegrating when it hit the ground, and post crash fire.

Flight radar 24 was able to capture the first 6 minutes of the aircraft’s ADSB (Automatic Dependence Surveillance Broadcast) data as the aircraft departed to the east.

The standard instrument departure to the east requires the aircraft to be at 12,000ft but it was at 9,000ft. This indicates that the aircraft was below the desired altitude, thus putting the aircraft within 1,000ft of the mountainous terrain.

The aircraft rolled out on the runway and climbed into the sky at rate of 2,000ft per minute, and it quickly drops off to ZERO ft per minute, followed by another positive climb and another negative descent of 2000ft per minute, followed by another positive climb to about 7,000ft in 3 minutes before losing contact with the radar.

An altitude of just 1,000 to 2,000 feet above the ground, gives the crew very limited time and space to react if there is a controllability problem.

It is too early to say what exactly caused the crash, but watching as the crew struggled to keep the aircraft in the air and the chaos in the cabin as Flight 302 nosedive back to terra ferma into a giant crater is gut-wrenching.

The leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, will address “Biafrans” on live interactive session via Radio Biafra from his base in Israel today by 6 pm (Nigerian time).

Kanu will address the issue of “betrayal and treachery by David Umahi of Ebonyi state and some other Igbo governors serving Muhammadu Buhari,” a statement issued on Wednesday by Comrade Emma Powerful, the spokesman of IPOB had said.

The statement said Kanu will also address the issue of Election Boycott in Biafraland (South East) during the interactive session and the allegation of an impostor in Aso Rock, Nigeria’s Presidential Villa.

IPOB said its leader will address each and every question put to him during the broadcast and that the interactive session will be simulcast on Radio Biafra platforms on air, satellite and social media.

The statement noted that questions can be submitted during the live address via Mazi Nnamdi Kanu page on Facebook, Radio Biafra page and Radio Biafra London group all on Facebook, adding that telephone numbers for callers wishing to ask questions will be also advertised during the program.

The Federal Government has reached an agreement with members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

Addressing journalists on Monday evening after the meeting with the striking lecturers in Abuja, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, said the majority of their demands have been met including the release of N15.4 billion for payment of salary shortfalls.

According to him, the Federal Government is also in the process of releasing another N20 billion for payment of earned allowances for university lecturers.

Meanwhile, the ASUU President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, said the National Executive Committee of the union will review their decisions based on the new commitment by the government.

According to him, it is only after that meeting of the ASUU leadership that the union will announce its position on the ongoing strike action.

Its been over two months since the union went on strike following the alleged inability of the government to respond to its demands.

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) has recorded loss at the beginning of the year, as the market shed N134 billion on Wednesday.

As at the last trading day of 2018, the market capitalisation stood N11.7207 trillion, only to fall by N134 billion to N11.5863 trillion on the first trading day of 2019.

The all share index (ASI) also plunge from 31,430.50 on the last trading day of 2018 to 31,070.06 on January 3, 2019.

Diamond Bank came in as the biggest trader for the day, with 111.995 million in trades on Wednesday, ahead of Access Bank, Zenith Bank and First Bank Nigeria Holdings (FBNH), which were all well traded.

The top losers for the day are; Nestle, Nigerian Breweries, Dangote Cement, Flour Mills, and Forte Oil.

Julius Berger, International Brewery, Custodian, Vitafoam, and Ecobank led the top gainers at the bourse.

Economic analysts have predicted a withdrawal of portfolio investors from Nigeria in 2019 in anticipation of the 2019 general elections, and expected economic uncertainty.

Oscar Onyema, chief executive officer of the Nigerian bourse, said the exchange hoped to achieve a market cap of about N200 trillion at the end of 2015 and the opening of 2016, but reviewed the plans for 2019.

“The targeted 2016 capitalisation was set across five asset classes and would not be possible to achieve considering present realities. We no longer believe that it is possible to meet the target, given where we are today,” he said.

“But we believe that our new strategy up to 2019 has more realistic targets and we are approaching it now in a different perspective.”

It is clear today that the market cap of the Nigerian exchange will not be anywhere near the $1 trillion target set a few years ago.

The Nigerian Army has released the list of candidates shortlisted for Short Service Combatant Commission (SSC) 45/2019 and Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 24/2019 Selection Board, scheduled to take place from 4th – 18th January 2019.

The selection exercise for SSC will take place at NDA Old Site Kawo, Kaduna, Kaduna State, while that of the DSSC will hold at 20 Battalion Barracks Serti Baruwa, Taraba State.

The awards event, which is the biggest youth award in Africa, celebrates young people between the ages of 18-32 who have made outstanding achievements in their respective fields.

Sunday’s event is the 13th edition of the award programme, InoutNaija reports.

Before telling why Access Bank took over Diamond Bank, do you know who owns Diamond Bank?

Wikipedia says he is Pascal Dozie, a native of Egbu in the northern part of Owerri, Imo State of Nigeria, who studied at London School of Economics, where he earned his degree in Economics, and then a Masters in Administration from City University in London in 1963.

He is best known for his role as the founder and former Chairman of Diamond Bank Plc which opened its doors to business in 1991.

Pascal Dozie was the former Chairman of the Board of MTN Nigeria.

His other business investments and interests include ADIC Insurance Limited and Aluminium Extrusion Industries PlC. He is a former Director of the Central Bank of Nigeria and one time President of the Nigerian Stock Exchange and until recently, he was Chairman of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group.

Now here are the 5 reasons why the takeover was inevitable according to Industry watchers :

1. The Dozie family owners of Diamond Bank have billions of naira worth of nonperforming loans it took from Access bank and Access Bank which is likely not performing and any deal short of an acquisition may have thus negatively impacted on the loans thus the need for the takeover.

2. The deal gives an opportunity for Access Bank to be the largest bank in Nigeria by Asset Base. In terms of profitability and returns on equity, Access Bank is behind GT Bank and Zenith Bank.

3. CBN and SEC have approved the transaction in the light of the reality on ground.

4. Shareholders of Diamond bank will be happy that their investments are now in safe hands under a new stronger management rather losing all out.

5. Sources suggest the Diamond Bank majority shareholder Carlyle investment which had offered to bail out the bank but was rejected by the Dozie family after they requested for the resignation of Uzoma Dozie the CEO of Diamond Bank sees the acquisition as a better move.

The lady who was spotted in bed with Peruzzi has allegedly gone missing – the lady, a UNILAG student was spotted in bed with the singer in a now viral video which was alleged to be leaked by her.

According to Twitter user, @bzee01, the young lady identified as Tobi Jacobs went missing immediately the video went viral.

Facebook’s headquarters in Menlo Park, California has been evacuated after a bomb scare.

The building housing employees for both Facebook and Instagram was emptied after police received an anonymous phone call alerting them about the threat.

Local police were on site quickly and swept the building for explosives. They later issued an update that the building has been given the all clear. There were no bombs or suspicious packages discovered at the social media giant’s headquarters.

News reaching InoutNaija that the recently arrested Police ambassador, Small Doctor might be spending over a decade behind bars if he is found guilty of illegally possessing fire arms and also threatening a police officer.

Singer Small Doctor is in serious trouble and that’s if he is found guilty of illegally possessing firearm.

The men of the Lagos State Police Command yesterday arrested the singer and three other accomplices for allegedly threatening to shoot a police officer.

Police also claim the singer will be prosecuted for a similar incident late November, when he fired pellets that injured four after a show at the Agege Stadium.

According to Section 3 of Nigeria’s Firearm Act, which prohibits the possession or control of firearms, any person(s) found guilty shall be liable to a minimum sentence of ten years.

Section 4 of the same act, which restricts the possession or control of personal firearms, as well as Section 9 which restricts the possession or control of ammunition in respect of certain firearms, also state that anyone found guilty of violation is liable to serve jail term not exceeding five years.

Small Doctor who has had relative success in the music industry since he burst onto the scene few years ago will need to defend the allegations in court.

Police didn’t say when the Agege-bred singer and his gang would make their first court appearance. Small Doctor and his friends have remained in police custody.

The young singer remains a police ambassador alongside other top music artistes in Lagos State.

A 300 level political science student of Nnamdi Azikiwe Univeristy, Akwa, Anambra State, and four others have been arrested by Police operatives at the Zone 2 Comman, Onikan, Lagos for engaging in money ritual.

The student, identified as Victor Nnacheta, from Aguleri in Anambra West Local Government Area of Anambra State, was reported to have consulted two Abeokuta, Ogun State-based Islamic clerics, Kabiru Badmos and Nurudeen Shodaolu, who were involved in a money making ritual for him, he paid #250,000 for human skull and other body parts.

The Police Public Relations Officer for the zone, Dolapo Badmus, while speaking on Monday stated that the clerics consulted two men, Olarewaju Jimoh and Mayewunmi Lukmon, who worked at a cemetery to exhume dead bodies for them.

She revealed that the skull and other human parts were grinded and mixed with black soap for Nnacheta to use before going to his Bet9ja shop.

Badmus stated, “A modest achievement we have made is that of a 20-year-old man, who said he wanted to become a billionaire overnight. He consulted some herbalists/Islamic clerics, who asked him to get a human skull and other body parts.

“The herbalists/clerics hired two men, who work in a cemetery. The two men were able to exhume dead bodies. The two men confessed that they gave out skulls, which the herbalists/clerics grinded and mixed with black soap.

“In the process, the police got information about them and arrested the suspects.”

Nnacheta, while speaking claimed that he asked the clerics to make his Bet9ja business prosperous as he had no parents.

He noted that he had paid the clerics to prepare the concoction that would make him rich before the police arrested them.

The PPRO, also noted that police arrested four armed robbery suspects, who allegedly specialised in carjacking.

Badmus stated that the robbery gang was led by a 25 year old man, adding that the zone was able to recover three out of the five vehicles that the gang had snatched.

Badmus said, “We found a 25-year-old man leading three other men in armed robbery operations on the highways. Based on investigation, about five vehicles had been snatched by the gang; three of the vehicles were recovered from them.

“The other two vehicles have been taken across the border to one unknown Alhaji. We have extended our investigation to Interpol to see how the Alhaji can be arrested. The three vehicles have been handed over to their owners.”

Ten persons suspected to be members of a secret cult have been arraigned before an Ota Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ogun state.

The suspects include; Muyideen Ijiade, 29; Olueaseyi Oluwole, 23; Jamiu Saka, 20; Ajayi Iyayi, 21; Ismaila Ibrahim, 23; Olayinka Muyideen, 17; and Olalekan Mudasiru, 20.

Others are Toheeb Yunusa, 18; Jimon Azeez, 17; and Toheeb Adelowo, 19. The accused are facing a three-count charge of membership of an unlawful society, conspiracy and breach of peace.

According to the Police Prosecutor, Abdulkareem Mustapha, the accused committed the offences on Nov. 24 at about 9.55p.m. at Ijamido Town Hall, Arigbabu Area, Ota.

Mustapha told the court that the accused all belong to Aiye Confraternity. He said the accused, who also assembled at Ijamido area, conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace by violently attacking themselves with dangerous weapons such as locally made gun and cutlass.

The offences, he said, contravened Sections 80, 39 (9) and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006. The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Chief Magistrate Mathew Akinyemi, in his ruling, granted each of the accused N200, 000 bail with two sureties each in like sum.

Akinyemi said the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and be gainfully employed with evidence of tax payment to Ogun government.

He adjourned the case till Jan. 3, 2019.
