Tbills are used for short term borrowing. Government doesn’t borrow short term money from China.

I remember in 2017 when I invested in tbills. The rates were BTW 16-18% then. What could have happened within 3 years?

Most of the investors in Tbills are institutional and conservative investors that cannot afford to stake their funds in the real sector and other risky investments in the current economy. They must put that money somewhere and Tbills are the safest investments right now. Even at 0.1%, Tbills will continue to be oversubscribed until CBN decides to switch monetary policy to fighting inflation.

For CBN, the intention is not to punish or frustrate individual investors (with their small change). They believe/think low Tbill rates will force lending rates to drop and encourage real sector businesses to get cheap credit from banks.

I understand now. So Tbills rate are not going up anytime soon.

I think you have a point but I also feel you are a little bit selfish. Do you know that you might have Corona virus and yet you would not have or show the symptoms and you can infect another person at work or during the course of getting your livelihood and that those people can die because they are vulnerable?

We need to be selfless here, I might get the virus unknowingly if I decide to move around sourcing for means if livelihood and I can infect someone who would then die of it unknowingly.

So u prefer all of them to die of the virus? Many countries including smaller countries to Nigeria evacuated their citizens. It just to set up a proper preventive measures and quarantine system. I was tearful when I saw ludicrous and bizzare posts from nairalanders on the the topic of evacuating Nigerians from Wuhan by the government. It is just sad our country has gotten a case. I hope it does not spread.

Not supporting that extreme position but the fact is that like the ebola case it is tending towards a felony when you knowingly travel with a viral infection in a pandemic regime. It is very insensitive and dangerous.

When you donot take steps to protect others from being infected by hiding your status leading to their infection or death then you should be asked questions. Quarantine is not a tea party. There are concrete reasons for it.

Nigeria just does not have the resources to handle this pandemic. If it gets very bad it will push us into full blown recession and hasten that vaunted currency devaluation.

I know the feeling bro. I did HIV and other blood test very recently. I was scared to check the results but thank God I tested negative to everything.

Google can give someone hypertension. There was a time I was having white discharge from my private part. I was looking up the causes of the discharge on google. I began self medication and almost killed myself. Until I went for proper medical checkup and treatment before I became back to normal.

So brother, my advise is that you should check Google for any crap signs and aymptims of any disease. Just go to the hospital to do proper medical check up.

I did a comprehensive medical checkup in the new country I travelled to, I was fucking scared to check the results but Alas! Every test was negative.
